Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 23.Mai 2020

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
Over at Stempeleinmaleins we are sharing a Pop-Up Corner Card today. What's special about this card reveals only after it's opened.

This is the outside of the card. When you compare mine with the others on the SEME Blog you'll notice that mine looks slightly different. With the original tutorial you'd notice the tucked in corner that also changes the outer shape of the card. Well, I am a person that doesn't go well with unlinear shapes. So I've simply made my Pop-Up Corner Card a tad bit smaller and glued it inside a regular notecard. Now it looks like a regular card and I had the usual rectangle to work with.
I've glued a slightly smaller rectangle cut from black cardstock onto my notecard, then added another slightly smaller rectangle cut from white cardstock to which I've added my decorations.
I've used Distress Ink Twisted Citron, Mustard Seed, Faded Jeans, Shaded Lilac and Broken China as well as the balloon stencil by MFT to add those balloons to my white cardstock. Other than with the Distress Oxide you can kind of layer the Distress Inks on top of each other and you'll still be able to see the original color, mixed with the one on top. I like this effect especialls with balloons. The strings were made with a grey and black fineliner, for the highlights I've used a white gelly marker.
For decorations I've also added a few Enamel Accents in a light and dark turquoise.

Just the balloons looked a bit too plain so I've added a strip of white cardstock, onto which I've stamped one of the sayings from the Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set by MFT and that I've matted black, to the right side of the card. On top of it I've put the cute party turtle from the Sending Sweet Celebrations Wishes stamp set. I've colored the image with Copics and covered the shell with Glossy Accents.

And this is the opened card. One inner corner - the left one here - pops up when the card is opened and the image is standing inside the card.
I've made my Pop-Up Corner Card from blue cardstock and, as mentioned, glued it into a regluar white notecard.

As the image for my corner I've picked this cute fox with the gift. To fill the corner completly I've also added a little table with a cake. This and the balloon are from the Mice Time to Celebrate stamp set by MFT. I've glued the balloon onto a piece of quite thick transparency, cut it out, covered it with Glossy Accents and attached it to the back of the gift. The transparency makes it more sturdy so it keeps standing. Without the thin string wouldn't have been enough to support the weight, especialls not with the layer of Glossy Accents on it.

To the lower right I've added another saying, stamped onto a banner, to the inside of the card and decorated it with another party hat.
In the end I've used a white gelly marker to draw some kind of frame all around the blue cardstock.
