For someone wonderful

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
Over at the Stampcorner Blog I am sharing this spring-ish card with a wonderful image by MFT today. As many other of you I still know Rachelle Ann Miller from back when she designed stamps for Stampavie. I've always loved them but after they were discontinued I somehow forgot about them. Now she's designing stamps for MFT - and I had to have this one.
Honestly, most times those flourishes she adds to the outlines are somekind of bothering me. Not because I don't like the look but because they make it so hard to cut out an image. But here those really weren't a big deal.

For this card I've decorated a rectangle and then simply glued it onto a white note card.

And here's my decorated rectangle.
For the background I've  clear heat embossed the Honeycomb Background by MFT onto a piece of white cardstock. Then I've inked up the cardstock pink. And I had to use the new Kitsch Flamingo by Ranger here. Wow, the Ink version of this color really earned this name! It's a very bright, nearly neon looking pink. The Oxide version is a lot softer. And this is also what I've used here, combined with the Distress Oxide Spun Sugar. Then I've spritzed some pink shimmer water color over the background and matted it with brown cardstock.
Onto the pink background I've glued three birch trees, made with the Birch Tree dies by MFT. They were die cut from white cardstock and then colored in a light brown with my Copics.
On top of the trees I've glued a round Thank You text, also made with a die by MFT. It's the Thank You Circle Frame die. I've used white cardstock here to make it easy to read the text. I only added a small punched out heart from dark brown cardstock onto one of the Os.
And then for the next layer I've added the cute image from the A Very Sweet Somebunny stamp set. Bunny and deer are colored with Copics. Aren't those the cutest?
After cutting the images out I've glued them onto the background and added a strip of grass, die cut from a soft green cardstock with one of the Grassy Hills dies.
Now all that was missing was a text. I used one from the same stamp set that the images are from and stamped it with brown ink onto white cardstock. Then I've cut it out with the Boxed-In Banner die and added the thin frame, cut from pink cardstock.
