Eine meiner Töchter hat mich vor kurzem nach eine Geburtstagskarte für eine Freundin gefragt, aber alles, das ich hier hatte, war ihr zu "süß". Dann hat sie mir ein Bild mit einer Grafik mit "Korkenziehern beim Geburtstags-Workout" gezeigt. Und das sollte dann auf eine Karte. Wie gut, dass ich mir vor Jahren mal die Korkenzieher-Stanze von Gummiapan gekauft habe!

One of my daughters recently asked me for a birthday card for one of their friends, but everything I had finished was too cute for her taste. Then she showed me a graphic showing "corkscrews at a birthday work-out" and that's what she wanted on a card. Luckily I bought the corkscrew die by Gummiapan a few years ago!
Passend zu rotem Wein habe ich mich für diese Farbe für den Hintergrund entschieden und ein Stück weißen Cardstocks mit Distress Oxide Abandoned Coral, Festive Berries und Aged Mahogany gewischt. Dann habe ich die Stencil mit der Konfetti-Lage aus dem Layering Streamers Stencilset von HoneybeeStamps aufgelegt und mit Distress Ink Aged Mahogany Konfetti auf den oberen Bereich aufgewischt. Anschließend habe ich die Stencil etwas verschoben aufgelegt und mit Versamark ebenfalls Konfetti aufgewischt. Die habe ich dann mit silbernem Glitzer-Embossingpuler embosst.
Matching the wine theme of the card, I picked some red colors reminding me of red wine for my background and inked a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Abandoned Coral, Festive Berries and Aged Mahogany. Then I placed the stencil with the confetti layer from the Layering Streamers stencil set by HoneybeeStamps onto the cardstock and inked the confettig with Distress Ink Aged Mahogany onto the top of the background. I moved the stencil a bit and added more confetti, this time with Versamark, then heat embossed them with some silver glitter embossing powder.
Besagte Korkenzieher-Stanze stanzt eigentlich nur den linken Korkenzieher. Um die Armstellung zu verändern, habe ich jeweils zwei Korkenzieher aus matt-silbernem Metallic Cardstock gestanzt und per Partial Diecutting die gezahnten Räder an den Armen des zweiten Stanzteils kreiert. Die Arme des anderen Korkenziehers habe ich weggeschnitten und die Arme dann so, wie gewünscht, aufgeklebt. Damit alles gut zusammenpasst, habe ich diesen Schritt auch für den linken Korkenzieher gemacht. Beim mittleren Korkenzieher habe ich unten nochmal den gedrehten Teil angestanzt, an den rechten habe ich unten einen Korken geklebt. Der besteht einfach aus einem Rechteck aus weißem Cardstock, das ich mit Copics coloriert habe.
Unter die Korkenzieher habe ich ovale Schatten, gemacht aus schwarzem Cardstock mit einer der Oval Shadows Stanzen von MFT, gesetzt.
Und für den Text musste ich wieder kreativ werden: er ist aus Stempeln und Stempelteilen aus dem Gift Card Greetings Set von MFT zusammengebaut und jeweils weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.
Said corkscrew die only creates the corkscrew on the left. To be able to change the setting of the "arms" I die cut two corkscrews from matte silver metallic cardstock for each of the three on my card, then did some partial diecutting to add the gear look to the end of the arms. I cut off the arms of the other corkscrews and replaced them with the newly created ones with different arm settings. To make sure all three corkscrews go together perfectly I also did new arms, as described, for the one on the left. At the bottom of the corkscrew in the middle I added another one of the threaded part, to the bottom of the one on the right I added a cork. I made this by simply cutting a very small rectangle and coloring it with Copics.
I put some shadows under the corkscrews, die cut from black cardstock with one of the dies from the Oval Shadows set by MFT.
And for the text I had to get creative again: I made it using stamps and part of stamps from the Gift Card Greetings stamp set by MFT and white heat embossed it onto black cardstock.
Die Korkenzieher samt Schatten habe ich mit dickem, die Texte mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Dann habe ich mit einer der Stitched Rectangle Frames von Create a Smile einen Rahmen aus silbernem Glittercardstock gestanzt und ebenfalls mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.
Zum Schluss habe ich alles schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
I attached the corkscrews including their shadows with thick, the texts with thin foam tape to the background. Then I used one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames by Create a Smile to die cut a thin frame from silver glitter cardstock and adhered it with the thick foam tape, too.
To finish the card I matted the cardstock black and adhered everything to a white note card.
