Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Wir sind ja lange mit warmem Wetter verwöhnt worden, aber jetzt wird es doch langsam richtig kalt. Für mich als Sommerkind ein Graus. Einer der wenigen Momente, in denen ich die Kälte akzeptiere, ist, wenn ich mit einem heißen Glühwein an einem Stand stehe und mich davon innerlich wärmen lasse. Das scheinen auch die Tiere auf meiner Karte zu genießen, auch wenn es bei ihnen heißen Kakao gibt.

We've had quite warm weather for a very long time, but now it's getting really cold. For me as a summer lover that's really hard. One of the few moments I am able to accept the cold, is when I'm standing on one of the many markets, holding a cup of hot Glühwein in my hands, letting it warm me from the inside. That's something also the critters on my card seem to enjoy, even if they are having hot cocoa.
Für den Hintergrund habe ich den unteren Teil eines Stücks weißen Cardstocks mit einem hügelförmig zugeschnittnen Stück Masking Tape abgedeckt und den oberen Teil mit Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke, Stormy Sky und Faded Jeans gewischt. Dann habe ich den Cardstock mit dem Trees Embossingfolder von Nellie Snellen geprägt und anschließend versucht, nur die Bäume mit Distress Ink Frayed Burlap einzufärben. Nun, an einigen Stellen hat auch der Himmel etwas abbekommen, da er aber größtenteils von den Motiven verdeckt wird, kann ich damit leben.
For the background I cut a piece of masking tape in a hill shape and covered the bottom of a piece of white cardstock with it. Then I inked the cardstock with Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke, Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans. I used the Trees embossing folder by Nellie Snellen to emboss the woods into the paper and then tried, to only ink the raised trees with some Distress Ink Frayed Burlap. Well, even with being very cautious I still got some ink onto the sky, but since most of it is covered by the images anyway I can live with that.
Den Kakao-Stand habe ich mit einem der Weihnachtsstanzen-Sets 2023 von Action gemacht. Ich habe die Teile aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und teilweise ein wenig mit Distress Ink schattiert. Auf das Glasteil des Kakaospenders, die Lichter der Lichterkette und die Augen der Eule habe ich Glossy Accents aufgetragen.
Die Tiere auf der Karte sind aus den Sets Sweater Weather in the Woods und - im Fall des kleinen Tigers - Sweater Weather on Safari von MFT. Den Tiger wollte ich eigentlich gar nicht verwenden, denn er passt eigentlich so gar nicht in die Szene und den anderen Tieren. Er schaut auch ein wenig verwirrt - deswegen gehe ich davon aus, dass er ein Austauschschüler ist und das erste Mal Kakao im Schnee trinkt. Dem kleinen Biber habe ich einen leckeren Lebkuchenmann in die Pfoten gegeben. Aus den selben Stempelsets sind auch die Kaffeebecher, die auf dem Tresen stehen.
Unter dem Verkaufsstand und den Tieren habe ich erst einen weiteren Schneehügel und darauf dann drei Schneeflecken aufgeklebt. Die sind mit Stanzen aus den Sets Grounding und Tiny Houses von MFT, aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Oxide Shaded Lilac schattiert.
Nachdem ich alle Elemente, teilweise mit 3D Tape, aufgeklebt habe, habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe als Schneeflocken aufgespritzt.
The cocoa stand I created using one of the christmas die sets 2023 from Action. I die cut the pieces from colored cardstock shaded some a bit with Distress Ink. Onto the glass part of the cocoa dispenser, the bulbs of the string of the lights and the owl's eyes I put a layer of Glossy Accents.
The critters on my card are from the sets Sweater Weather in the Woods and - in the case of the little tiger - Sweater Weather on Safari by MFT. I originally didn't want to use the tiger because he doesn't fit the scene and other animals. He also looks a bit surprised - so I'm sure he's an exchange student, having cocoa in the snow for the very first time. The little beaver is holding a yummy gingerbread man. And on the stand I put coffee cups from the same stamp sets.
Under the stand and the animals I first attached another snowy hill, then on top a few patches of snow. Those I cut from white with dies from the Grounding and the Tiny Houses die sets by MFT and shaded them with Distress Oxide Shaded Lilac.
After I had adhered all the elements onto the background, partly using foam tape, I flicked some white acrylic paint over the scene for some falling snow.
Die Texte sind aus den Sets Winter Alpaca und Tree Before 'n Afters von LawnFawn. Ich habe sie weiß auf braunen Cardstock embosst und mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt.
The texts are from the sets Winter Alpaca and Tree Before 'n Afters by LawnFawn. I white heat embossed them onto kraft cardsock and adhered them with foam tape.
Hier kann man die einzelnen Lagen und die Prägung im Hintergrund besser sehen.
Zum Schluss habe ich den Cardstock schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

To finish the card I matted the cardstock black and attached it to a white note card.
