Stampcorner Juli-Release Sneak #2

Heute zeige ich Euch wieder eine Karte mit einem Sneak auf ein Motiv aus dem Juli-Release von Stampcorner - eigentlich sind es sogar zwei.

Today I am sharing another sneak card with one of the images from the july releases by Stampcorner. Actually I combined two images here.

Auf einer Karte, die ich Euch noch zeige, hatte ich Designpapier von Stampcorner benutzt. Und wie so oft, wenn ich etwas hervorgeholt habe, kommt es gleich häufiger zum Einsatz. Diesmal habe ich ein Stück grau-weiß gestreiftes Designpapier als Hintergrund benutzt und weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

I already used patterned paper on a card for Stampcorner, that I am going to share with you soon. And as it happens often when I bring out something I don't use that often, I use it on more than just one card. This time I picked some grey and white striped paper. I cut my background from it and splattered some white acrylic paint onto it.

Bär und Katze aus dem neuen Stempelset finde ich einfach zu niedlich. Hier haben sich beide für ein gemeinsames Foto eingefunden. Beide Motive sind mit Copics coloriert, die Highlights habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht. Und weil sie zum Designpapier passen sollten, habe ich beide in Grautönen coloriert.

Damit es auch nach Foto aussieht, habe ich einen Polaroidrahmen um die beiden gesetzt. Ich habe eine Stanze aus dem Magic Iris Camera Pull-Tab Add-On Set von LawnFawn verwendet, man kann den Rahmen aber auch einfach per Hand schneiden. Für etwas Dimension habe ich zwei Rahmen aufeinandergeklebt und als Fotohintergrund etwas hellblauen Cardstock verwendet. In den Rahmen kamen dann die beiden Motive.

Hinter den Rahmen habe ich in einer Art diagonaler Linie einige Sterne, gestanzt aus rotem Cardstock, aufgeklebt. Die Karte brauchte diesen Farbtupfer, finde ich. 

Beim Text für die Karte war ich mir erst nicht so sicher, also habe ich erstmal mit einem "Cheese" aus dem Elphie Selfie Set von LawnFawn angefangen. Das habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver auf eine Sprechblase, die ich aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt habe, aufembosst. Dann habe ich noch eine Schattenlage aus schwarzem Cardstock dahinter gesetzt.

I love the bear and cat from the new set. Here both took a photo together. I colored both images with Copics and  added highlights with a white gel pen. I wanted both images to go with the patterned paper so I colored both in greys.

To make the images look like a photo I put them into a polaroid frame. I used a die from the Magic Iris Camera Pull-Tab Add-On set by LawnFawn, but you can also simply cut it by hand. To add some dimension I stacked two of the frames and added some light blue cardstock as the background. Then I glued the images inside the frame.

And behind the frame, in some kind of diagonal stripe, I glued some stars, cut from red cardstock, onto the background. I think, the card needed that pop of color.

I first wasn't sure what text I wanted to use on this card, so I stareted with the word "cheese" from the Elphie Selfie stamp set by LawnFawn. I white heat embossed it onto a speech bubble, that I had die cut from red cardstock, then added a black shadow layer behind it.

Der Rest des Textes war dann eigentlich klar. Über der Sprechblase habe ich ein "Du und ich", unter den Rahmen ein "du bist so toll", beide aus dem Set Kleine Worte, aufgeklebt. Sie sind jeweils mit weiß auf hellblauen Cardstock embosst.

Und direkt auf den Rahmen kam das Wort Schnappschuss, das aus einem weiteren neuen Set ist. Da ich, wie im letzten Sneak erwähnt, nur die Digis zur Verfügung habe, habe ich den weißen Cardstock mit einem farblich passenden hellblauen Marker eingefärbt.

The rest of the text came together easily. Above the speechbubble I used a "you and I", under the frame I placed a "you're amazing". I white heat embossed those onto light blue cardstock.

And directly onto the frame I adhered a strip of cardstock, that I had stamped a "snapshot" onto. As mentioned in my first sneak post, I only had the digis available for my snekas. I used a matching light blue marker to color the white cardstock I had printed the text on.

Die beiden Motive  habe ich mit 3D Tape in den Rahmen geklebt, so dass sie etwas höher stehen. Als Deko habe ich zwei Herzen aufgeklebt und außerdem mit einem schwarzen Fineliner einen Rahmen aufgemalt. Dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

I used foam tape to glue the images inside the frame to bring them up a bit. Then I added two hearts as decoration and drew a frame with a black fineliner. Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

Erwachsen werden?

Heute geht es in den Dschungel - und dort besuchen wir zwei süße Affen. Denn hier habe ich endlich die Affenbande - zumindest zum Teil - aus dem Juni-Release von Create a Smile eingeweiht.

We're going into the jungle today - and we're visiting two cute monkey there. Here I finally used the Affenbande stamp set - at least part of it - from Create a Smile's june release.

Ich habe hier ein Stück weißen Cardstocks so zugeschnitten, dass er jeweils in Höhe und Breite 2 cm schmäler als mein Kartenrohling ist, denn ich wollte, dass später ein breiterer Rand sichtbar ist. Den Cardstock habe ich dann mit Distress Ink Cracked Pistacchio, Lucky Clover und Pine Needles gewischt - oben rechts am dunkelsten und nach unten links hin auslaufend. Dann habe ich ein wenig Wasser aufgespritzt.

I cut a piece of white cardstock making it both in width and length 2 cm shorter than my card base because I wanted to have a wider frame later. I inked the cardstock with Distress Ink Cracked Pistacchio, Lucky Clover and Pine Needles, dark in the top right and fading out towards the bottom left. Then I did some fine splatters with water.

Die Blätter sind ebenfalls aus dem Affenbande Stempelset. Und wie schon im Hintergrund habe ich auch hier mal nicht meine üblichen Color Combos zum Colorieren verwendet. Alle Teile habe ich mit Copics coloriert und dann per Hand ausgeschnitten.

Die Liane, von der einer der Affen hängt, habe ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner so verlängert, dass sie von Rand zu Rand meines Cardstocks reicht und trotzdem darüber noch Platz zum Sitzen für den zweiten Affen ist. Dem hängenden Affen habe ich noch eine Banane aus dem selben Set in die Hand gegeben.

Um das Gelb der Banane aufzugreifen, habe ich ein paar Blüten mit der Kleine Blüten Stanze gestanzt und gelb coloriert. Außerdem habe ich einige kleine Blätter mit der ebenfalls neuen Blätter Stanze aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und ebenfalls mit Copics coloriert. 

The leaves are also from the Affenbande stamp set. And just like I did for the background I didn't use my usual green color combos for my coloring also. I used Copics to color all the elements and cut them out with my scissors.

The vine one of the monkeys is hanging from is a bit shorter originally. I used a black fineliner to make it longer so it fits from edge to edge of my cardstock but there's still room for the second monkey to sit on it. The monkey, that's dangling from the vine, I gave a banana from the same stamp set to hold.

To pick up the yellow of the banana I used the Kleine Blüten die set to die cut some small flowers that I colored yellow. I also used the also new die Blätter to die cut some small leaves and colored them green.

Bei meinem Text war ich erst etwas ratlos - ich wollte etwas, das zu den lustigen und etwas verrückten Affen passt. Dann kam mir die Idee: ich habe das "erwachsen werden?" aus dem Set Niemals mit den Worten "du" und "Scherzkeks" aus dem ebenfalls neuen Set Du kombiniert. 

Ich habe beide Texte mit schwarzer Tinte auf gelben Cardstock gestempelt und ausgeschnitten.

At first I was a bit at a loss for what text to use - I wanted something that goes with the funny and a bit crazy monkeys. Then I had an idea: I combined the "growing up?" from the Never stamp set with the "you're joking" from another new set, that's only available in german.

I stamped both texts with black ink onto yellow cardstock and cut them out.

Dann habe ich alle Elemente auf meinem Hintergrund aufgeklebt - dabei kam neben Flüssigkleber auch wieder sowohl dünnes als auch dickes 3D Tape zum Einsatz. Dazwischen habe ich einige weiße Enamel Dots verteilt. 

Mein eigentlicher Plan war, den dekorierten Cardstock direkt auf den Kartenrohling zu kleben, aber da fehlte mir irgendwie der Kontrast. Also habe ich ein Stück schwarzen Cardstocks etwas kleiner als meinen Kartenrohling geschnitten und ihn als Mattung für den dekorierten Cardstock benutzt. 

Then I adhered all the elements onto the background - besides liquid glue I also used both thin and thick foam tape. Inbetween I added a few white Enamel Dots.

My original paln was, to adhere my card panel directly to the note card, but I was missing some contrast here. So I cut a piece of black cardstock a bit smaller than my card base and used that as a mat behind the decorated panel.

Zur Hochzeit die Erste

Momentan werde ich wieder ständig nach Hochzeitskarten gefragt - die erste von einigen zeige ich Euch heute.

At the moment a lot of friends and family members ask me for wedding cards - the first of a few I made I am sharing with you today.

Bei Hochzeitskarten bin ich mir farblich immer etwas unsicher, und nicht jeder hat ein Farbmotto für seine Hochzeit (bzw. kenne ich das nicht immer). Elegant mögen die meisten doch am liebsten, und rot passt auch nicht zu jedem. Hier habe ich mich für eine eher dezente Kombi aus creme, craft, grün und gold entschieden.

Aus einem Stück cremefarbenen Cardstocks habe ich den Radiant Heart Backdrop von LawnFawn ausgestanzt. Mit der Schere habe ich ein Stück hellgrünen Cardstocks so zugeschnitten, dass er etwas größer ist als der herzförmige Ausschnitt in der Mitte der Karte. Dann habe ich auf beide Teile goldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt und dabei die Spritzer auf dem cremefarbenen Panel rund um den Ausschnitt konzentriert. 

Das hellgrüne Herz habe ich dann mit dünnem 3D Tape hinter den Ausschnitt geklebt.

I am always a bit unsure about the colors I want to use for wedding cards. Not everyone has special colors for their wedding (or sometimes I just don't know those), most like elegant and red doesn't suit everyone. Here I went with a more soft color combo of cream, kraft, green and gold.

I die cut the Radiant Heart Backdrop by LawnFawn from a piece of cream colored cardstock. With my scissors I cut a piece of light green cardstock a bit larger than the heart shaped window in the background. Then I splattered gold metallic watercolor onto both pieces, keeping the ones on the cream cardstock centered around the heart cut out.

I used thin foam tape to attach the heart behind the window.

Rund um das Herzfenster habe ich dann auch meine Deko angeordnet.

Aus etwas dunkler grünem Cardstock habe ich mit dem Wedding Alphabet - wie passend - von XCut die Buchstaben M und T ausgestanzt und mit 3 Lagen weißem Cardstock hinterlegt.

Das Und-Zeichen von Creative Depot habe ich aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt und mit 5 Lagen weißen Cardstocks hinterlegt - es sollte etwas höher und vor allem auf dem Banner darunter liegen, als die Buchstaben. Das Banner ist mit der Elegant Folded Banner Stanze von MFT aus craft farbenem Cardstock gemacht. Darauf und auf ein weiteres Stück dieses Cardstocks habe ich dann mit weißem Embossingpulver die Texte "zur Hochzeit" und "die besten Wünsche" von Kulricke aufembosst. 

Da die Namen komplett auf die Karte sollten, habe ich deren restlichen Buchstaben mit dem Dymo und goldenem Band gedruckt.

Nach dem Aufkleben aller Elemente habe ich als Deko drei kleine dunkler grüne Blüten, zwei cremefarbene Rosen und einige goldene Perlen auf der Karte verteilt.

Around the heart cut out I arranged my decorations.

I die cut the letters M and T from a bit darker green cardstock using the Wedding Alphabet - what  a match - by XCut and glued three layers cut from white cardstock behind each.

The Ampersand by Creative Depot I die cut from gold mirror cardstock and backed it with five white die cuts - I wanted it to be a bit higher than the letters and on top of the banner. The banner is made from kraft colored cardstock using the Elegant Folded Banner die by MFT. I white heat embossed "congratulations" onto it and also embossed a "for your wedding" onto another piece of the craft cardstock. 

Since the names should be completly on the card I used my Dymo and some gold band to write the missing letters.

After I had glued all the elements onto the background I added three small blossoms cut from darker green cardstock, two cream roses and a few gold pearls.

Auf das Banner und die gestanzten Buchstaben habe ich mit einem goldenen Gelstift ein paar Highlights aufgemalt - ich fand, gold passt hier besser als weiß. 

Hinter dem Banner und dem Textstreifen befindet sich dünnes 3D Tape. Das habe ich auch verwendet, um den Hintergrund mit craftfarbenem Cardstock zu hinterlegen.

Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einen cremefarbenen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used a gold gel pen to add some highlights to the banner and the die cut letters - I think, gold works better here than white.

I put thin foam tape behind the banner and the text strip, then used more of it to adhere the background onto a piece of kraft colored cardstock.

Then I attached my decorated panel to a cream colored card base.
