Na, nun scheint er ja endlich da zu sein: der Sommer, und mit ihm ist die Freibadsaison eröffnet. Als "Verpackung" für Freibadkarten ist diese Karte, die ich heute auf dem Stampcorner Blog zeige, entstanden.

It finally seems to have arrived: summer, and pool season with it. As a way to nicely give away some tickets for the pool I created this card, that I'm sharing on the Stampcorner Blog today.
Ich finde, hin und wieder sollte man auch mal wieder ältere Sets hervorholen. Und das habe ich für diese Karte getan.
Für den Hintergrund habe ich den Wonky Stitch Window aus craftfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und die Ränder ein wenig mit Distress Ink Ground Espresso gewischt. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe und goldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt, so erinnert der Hintergrund an Sand.
I think, every now and then we should remember those older sets and give them some love. That's what I did here.
For the background I've die cut the Wonky Stitch Window from craft colored cardstock and inked the edges with a bit of Distress Ink Ground Espresso. Then I splattered some white acrylic paint and gold metallic watercolor onto it. It now reminds me of sand.
Als Hintergrund für meine Motive und als Fach für die Schwimmbadkarten habe ich die Money Pocket Stanze von LawnFawn benutzt. Die Teile habe ich aus Papieren aus einem der Paper Packs von Stampcorner gestanzt und mit einem weiteren dieser Papiere auch das Loch hinterlegt. Dafür habe ich ein Stück des Designpapiers mit dünnem 3D Tape von hinten gegen den Hintergrund geklebt.
Die süßen Robben sind aus dem Stempelset Hallo Sommer. Ich habe sie mit Copics in Blautönen, farblich passend zum Designpapier coloriert und Highlights mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. Die Gläser der Sonnenbrille habe ich außerdem mit Glossy Accents überzogen.
Die Texte habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver auf craftfarbenen Cardstock embosst. Sie sind aus den Sets Kleine Worte und Matrosenfreunde.
As a backdrop for my images and also as a pocket for the tickets I used the Money Pocket die by LawnFawn. I die cut the pieces from papers from one of the paper packs by Stampcorner and used another pattern from the pad to put behind the window in the background. I used thin foam tape to attach it behind the background cardstock.
The cut seals are from the Hallo Sommer stamp set. I colored them blue with my Copics, using tones that match the patterned paper, then added highlights with a white gel pen. The glasses of the sunglasses are also covered with Glossy Accents.
The text means "hooray, it's finally summer". I white heat embossed it onto strips of craft colored cardstock.
Oben, über die Tasche hinausstehend, habe ich noch einen Sonnenschirm gesteckt. Der ist aus dem Set Sommer? und teilweise per Paper Piecing gemacht. Das Designpapier habe ich dabei ebenfalls mit Copics schattiert.
Und um eine Verbindung zum Schwimmbad herzustellen, habe ich noch ein Holzschild mit der Aufschrift Pool in die vordere Tasche gesteckt. Auch dieser Stempel ist aus dem Set Hallo Sommer. Ich habe ihn abgestempelt, coloriert und drumherum ein Holzmuster aufgemalt. Dann habe ich ihn ausgeschnitten, einen Pfosten dahinter geklebt und auch hier die beiden Schwimmringe mit Glossy Accents überzogen.
I put an umbrella into the front pocket, letting it stand tall enough so it reaches the top of the window cut out. The umbrella is from the Sommer? set and I paper pieced the blue areas. I used Copics to shade the patterned paper as well.
And to make a connection to the pool tickets that I will put into the pocket I also added a pool sign. The pool text is also from the set Hallo Sommer. I colored it and added a wood pattern around it. Then I cut the word out, put a wooden post behind it and tucked it into the front pocket. Again I used Glossy Accents on the two swimrings/Os.
Da ich die Schwimmbadkarten noch nicht hier habe, habe ich hier einfach mal zwei Stücke weißen Cardstocks in die hintere Tasche gesteckt, damit Ihr seht, wie das dann aussieht. Trotzdem sieht die Karte auch nach der Entnahme der Karten noch schön aus.
I don't have the pool tickets at home yet so I simply put two pieces of white cardstock into the back pocket to show you, how the card looks with the tickets. And once you've taken them out you still have a nice card.
Die beiden Robben und die Texte sind mit 3D Tape auf die Tasche aufgeklebt. Und weil mir alles doch ein klein wenig zu dunkel wurde, habe ich noch ein paar weiße Pailetten als Deko hinzugefügt.
Zum Schluss habe ich alles mit 3D Tape, mit dem ich ja bereits auch das Designpapier hinter das Fenster geklebt habe, auf eine weiße Karte geklebt.
I used foam tape to adhere the seals and the texts onto the pocket. And since everything looked a bit dull I added some white sequins as decoration.
Then I used foam tape, that I had already used to attach the patterned paper behind the window, to adhere the card panel to a white card base.
