Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Ich habe hier immer noch Sachen aus dem letzten LawnFawn-Release, die ich noch nicht eingeweiht habe. Und auch wenn Drachensteigen für mich irgendwie eher eine Aktivität für den Herbst ist, habe ich mir für die heutige Karte mal das Whoosh Kites Stempelset gegriffen.

I still have items from LawnFawn's latest release here, that I haven't used yet. And even with kite flying being more of a fall activity for me I brought out the Whoosh Kites set for today's card.
Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück hellblauen Designpapiers aus dem Spiffy Speckles Paper Pad. Ich habe den Draped Ribbons Stencil aufgelegt und dann mit Distress Ink Broken China gewischt, das passte super zum Ton des Designpapiers. Anschließend habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.
For the background I used a piece of light blue patterned paper from the Spiffy Speckles paper pad. I put the Draped Ribbons stencil onto it and then inked it with Distress Ink Broken China, that went perfectly with the color of the patterned paper. Then I splattered some white acrylic paint on top.
Sämtliche Motive der Karte sind aus dem Whoosh Kites Set und mit Copics coloriert.
Am Himmel sind einige kleine Wölkchen unterwegs, zwischen ihnen fliegen drei Drachen. Die habe ich alle in unterschiedlichen Rottönen coloriert.
Und weil es mir besser als eine gestempelte Schnur gefallen hat, habe ich an den Drachen jeweils ein Stück braun-graues Twine befestigt.
All the images on this card are from the Whoosh Kites set and colored with Copics.
There are a few small clouds floating in the sky, inbetween them the kites are flying. I colored those using different shades of red.
And since I liked it better than the stamped string I attached a piece of grey-ish brown twine to each of the kites.

Ich liebe ja Wortspiele. Und hier fiel mir ein "you're kite awesome" (statt quite) ein. Dafür habe ich dann einen Text aus dem Set Cerealsly Awesome weiß auf roten Cardstock embosst und in zwei Teile zerschnitten. Das Wort Kite dazwischen habe ich mit dem Henry's ABCs Stanzenset gemacht. Ich habe die Buchstaben aus Papier aus dem Watercolor Wishes Paper Pad gestanzt - jeder Buchstabe habe einen etwas anderen Rotton. Dann habe ich die Buchstaben mit vier Lagen weißem Cardstock hinterlegt. Nun, das sah irgendwie nicht so toll aus und ich habe noch eine Lage roten Cardstocks hinzugefügt. Dann habe ich die Buchstaben auf den Hintergrund geklebt.
Dazwischen stehen die kleine Mäuse, die ihre Drachen steigen lassen und die Schnüre gut festhalten, schließlich soll kein Drachen davonfliegen! An den Motiven habe ich das andere Ende der Schnüre geklebt, die ich an den Drachen befestigt habe. Und eine der Mäuse - ich konnte sie ja nicht als einzige aus dem Set nicht verwenden - steht auf dem T und freut sich über das Treiben am Himmel.
Damit die Mäuse nicht so in der Luft schweben, habe ich die Gräser aus dem Mushroom House Stanzenset aus einem Stück Designpapier aus dem Let It Shine Pad, das farblich zwischen den beiden Blautönen im Hintergrund liegt, ausgestanzt und hinter/unter die Mäuse geklebt.
I love a good pun. And here I came up with "you're kite awesome". I used a text from the Cerealsly Awesome set and white heat embossed it onto red cardstock. Then I cut it apart and put the word kite inbetween the parts. I die cut the letters from paper from the Watercolor Wishes paper pad - each letter is a slightly different tone of red - using the Henry's ABCs die set. Then I put four layers of white cardstock behind each letter. Well, I didn't like that so I added a fifth layer, cut from red cardstock, on top and attached the letters to the background.
Between/around the text are those little mice, that let their kites fly and make sure that they hold the strings tightly because they don't want one of the kites to take off. I attached the other end of the strings, that I had glued behind the kites, to the images. And one of the mice - I just couldn't leave out this last one from the set - is standing on top of the T, being excited to watch all the fun going on in the sky.
To make sure the mice don't float in the air I die cut the grass from the Mushroom House die set from a piece of patterned paper from the Let It Shine pad, that's inbetween the two colors I used in the background. I glued the grass under/behind the mice to ground them.
Zum Aufkleben der Wolken, Drachen und Mäuse habe ich teilweise 3D Tape in zwei unterschiedlichen Dicken benutzt. Außerdem habe ich die gestanzten Buchstaben und die Drachen ein wenig mit Stickles beglittert.
Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.
To adhere some of the clouds, kites and mice I used foam tape in two different thicknesses. I also added Stickles to the die cut letters and kites.
Then I adhered my card panel to a white note card.
