Heute habe ich eine Karte für Euch, die eher etwas einfach ausgefallen ist - und bei der nicht alles nach Plan verlaufen ist. Trotzdem mag ich sie.

Today I am sharing this card with you, that's definately more on the simpler side - and when I made it not everything went as planned. But I really like the outcome.
Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks, auf den ich erst den Kreis aus dem Nighttime Sky Stencilset von LawnFawn aufgelegt und nur den Bereich direkt drumherum mit Distress Ink Scattered Straw gewischt. Dann habe ich den Kreis abgenommen und die weiße Fläche mit Wasser besprüht - die gelbe Farbe wird dadurch nach innen gezogen, was einen tollen Effekt gibt.
Anschließend habe ich den Himmel drumherum mit Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina, Uncharted Mariner und Black Soot gewischt und - bei abgedecktem Mond - weiße Acrylfarbe und goldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.
The background is made from a piece of white cardstock, onto which I laid the solid circle from the Nighttime Sky stencil set by LawnFawn, then inked just around the circle with Distress Ink Scattered Straw. I took off the circle stencil and sprayed the white area with water - the yellow ink gets pulled into the circle, what creates a great effect.
Then I inked the sky around the moon with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina, Uncharted Mariner and Black Soot and - again covering the moon - splattered white acrylic paint and gold metallic watercolor onto the sky.
Anschließend habe ich noch den "großen" Stencil aus dem Set benutzt und die Krater auf den Mond gewischt. Sie sind mit Distress Oxide Lost Shadow gemacht.
Und dann war mir das Gelb um den Mond herum doch zu stark. Ich habe den Mond wieder abgedeckt und die Farbe mit ein wenig weißer Pigment-Tinte und Distress Oxide Scattered Straw abgeschwächt.
Then I used the "main stencil" from the set to ink some craters onto the moon. I used Distress Oxide Lost Shadow for those.
I felt like the yellow around the moon was too bright. So I covered the moon again and dulled the yellow with a bit of white pigment ink and Distress Oxide Scattered Straw.
Die süße Maus ist aus dem Set Super Star. Ich habe so einige Mäuse ausprobiert, diese hier hat dann am besten auf den Stern aus dem Set How You Bean? Christmas Cookie Add-On gepasst. Beide Motive habe ich mit Copic coloriert. Den Stern habe ich dabei mit Memento Desert Sand gestempelt und nach dem Colorieren die Outlines nochmal mit goldener Pigment-Tinte darüber gestempelt. Außerdem habe ich den Stern dick mit goldenen und klaren Stickles überzogen.
Über der Maus ist eine Sprechblase aus dem All the Speech Bubbles Set, in das ich ein Whee! aus dem Set Just Plane Awesome gestempelt habe.
Und natürlich zieht so ein Stern einen Glitzernebel hinter sich her! Nun, hier ist dann alles ein wenig schiefgelaufen... Ich habe den Schweif aufgemalt und dann ebenfalls mit den goldenen und klaren Stickles gefüllt. Das hat erstens eine extrem unebene Fläche ergeben - egal wie gut und womit ich den Glitzer verteilt habe - und außerdem hatte ich nicht daran gedacht, dass die Stickles die Distress Oxides wieder anlösen. Und so war der Glitzernebel dann auf einem stellenweise grün. Urgh, sah natürlich nicht schön aus und war so auch nicht geplant. Nachdem der Glitter getrocknet war, habe ich Versamark aufgetupft und zuerst gold-holographisches Embossingpulver, anschließend noch eine Lage klares Embossingpulver mit kleinen Glitterpartikeln aufembosst. Das war schon mal besser, auch wenn der Goldton hier dann nicht mehr perfekt zum Gold im Stern passt.
Da ich wollte, dass der Himmel etwas durch den Nebel scheint, habe ich nochmal etwas Uncharted Mariner auf das Embossingpulver aufgewischt und dann mit einem weißen Gelstift einige Punkte aufgemalt.
Ganz zum Schluss habe ich noch weiße Sterne aufgeklebt. Die sind mit einer Stanze aus dem Set Full Moon gemacht. Eigentlich hatte ich sie aus goldenem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt, aber nachdem ich später dann die goldenen Sterne auf den Himmel geklebt habe, gingen sie total unter. Also habe ich nochmal welche aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und auf die goldenen geklebt.
The cute mouse is from the Super Star set. I had tried quite a few mice, this one fit the best onto the star from the How You Bean? Christmas Cookie Add-On set. I colored both images with Copics. The star I stamped with Memento Desert Sand and after I had colored it in I re-stamped the outlines with gold pigment ink. I also covered the stars with gold and clear Stickles.
Above the mouse I placed a speech bubble from the All the Speech Bubbles set, in which I stamped a WHEE! from the Just Plane Awesome set.
And of course such a star leaves a trail of glitter. Well, that's where things went wrong... I drew on the trail with a pencil and dovered it again with the clear and gold Stickles. That did not only leave a very uneven and rough surface - no matte what I tried to smooth the glitter out - it only re-activated the Distress Oxides. Suddenly my glitter trail was partly green. Urgh, of course that did not look nice and I also hadn't planned it that way. After the glitter had dried, I dabbed Versarmark onto it and then first covered it with gold-holographic embossing powder, then added a layer of clear embossing powder with small glitter pieces. That looked way better, even if the gold of the trail doesn't match the gold in the star anymore.
I wanted the sky to be lightly visible through the trail. So I inked a bit of Uncharted Mariner onto the embossing powder and then used a white gel pen to add some white dots.
In the end I added some tiny white stars. I made those using a die from the Full Moon set. Originally I had die cut those from gold glitter cardstock but after adding the gold star confetti to the background later, the glitter stars kind of blended into the trails. So I cut them again from white cardstock and adhered them on top of the gold ones.
Unten auf der Karte habe ich dann meinen Text aufgebracht, er ist direkt weiß auf den Himmel embosst. Die obere Zeile ist aus dem Set Believe in Yourself, die untere aus dem Set Super Star. Und dazwischen habe ich das Und-Zeichen aus dem Set Henry Jr.'s ABCs gesetzt.
To the bottom of the card I added the text, it's white heat embossed directly onto the sky. The top line is from the set Believe in Yourself, the bottom one from Super Star. And between the two lines I stamped the ampersand from Henry Jr.'s ABCs.
Aus schwarzem Cardstock habe ich einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames gestanzt und als Rahmen um die Szene gesetzt.
Aus dem irisierenden Vellum von LawnFawn habe ich noch die Wolken aus dem Set Spring Showers gestanzt. Die beiden größeren habe ich unter den Rahmen geschoben und die Überstände weggeschnitten. Die kleinste der Wolken habe ich unter der Maus auf dem Stern aufgeklebt.
Zum Zusammensetzen der Karte habe ich Maus und Stern mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt, das befindet sich auch hinter den größeren Wolken. Den Rahmen habe ich dann mit dickem 3D Tape befestigt.
Als Deko habe ich dann noch die schon erwähnten goldenen Sternchen auf dem Himmel verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
From black cardstock I die cut one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames and adhered it as a frame around the scene.
From LawnFawn's iridescent vellum I die cut the clouds from the Spring Showers die set. I tucked the two larger ones under the frame and cut off the hangovers. The smallest cloud I put under the mouse on her star.
To put the card together I used thin foam tape behind the star and mouse and also behind the larger clouds. The frame I adhered with thick foam tape.
As decoration I added the already mentioned gold star confetti, then attached my card panel to a white note card.
