Heute habe ich eine Karte mit Produkten von Create a Smile für Euch, die ein wenig anders ausgefallen ist als man beim Anblick der Motive eventuell denken würde. Und ich muss gestehen, ich liebe die Karte!

Today I am sharing this card using products by Create a Smile with you - and when looking at the staps you might not think of this type of card first. I have to admit, I love how it turned out.
Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück weißen Watercolor Cardstocks. Den habe ich von unten rechts augehend per Ink Smooshing mit Distress Ink Antique Linen etwas eingefärbt. Da mich mein Mann mitten im Basteln der Karte mit einem Aperol auf die Terrasse gelockt hat, habe ich die Motive und den Hintergrund zum Ausschneiden mit dorthin genommen - und er dachte doch tatsächlich, das Papier wäre "ja schon total vergilbt". Männer!
The background is made from a piece of watercolor cardstock, that I did some ink smooshing with Distress Ink Antique Linen on, starting at the bottom right and letting the ink fade towards the top and left.
My husband lured me with an Aperol Spritz onto the porcht so I brought the background and colored images with me to cut them out - and he really said that the paper is "already totally yellowed from age". Men!
Auf den Hintergrund habe ich dann, am rechten Rand über den Cardstock überstehend, zuerst mit dem Jellyfish Stempelkissen von LawnFawn den Herbstkranz aus dem Set Herbstliche Umarmung gesstempelt und zudem einige Beeren, die einzeln im Set enthalten ist, an den Kranz gesetzt.
Alle Motive auf der Karte habe ich mit Distess Inks und No-Line Coloring coloriert, die feinen Linien des Kranzes habe ich anschließend mit einem schwarzen Fineliner wieder nachgemalt (auf der Terrasse, deswegen hat mein Mann den Hintergrund mehr oder weniger blank gesehen).
Entweder war das dunkle Braun noch nicht ganz trocken oder ich hatte dort teilweise zu viel Tinte pur aufgetragen, aber beim Nachmalen der Linien habe ich irgendwie mit dem Handrücken dunkle Flecken produziert. Die haben mich natürlich total gestört. Ich habe sie so gut es ging mit etwas Wasser verdünnt, ein besonders dicker ist zum Glück von Kürbis und Co verdeckt. Und damit es nicht ganz so auffällt, habe ich noch goldene Metallic Watercolor auf den Hintergrund und Kranz aufgespritzt. Fällt fast nicht mehr auf, oder?
Onto the background, overlapping at the right edge, I stamped the fall wreath from the Herbstliche Umarmung set using the Jellyfish ink pad by LawnFawn, then added a few berries, that come as an individual stamp in the set.
All images on this card are colored with Distress Inks doing no-line coloring, the small lines of the wreath I re-drew with a black fineliner afterwards (on the porch and that's why my husband saw the nearly naked background).
Either the dark brown hadn't dried completly yet when I re-did the lines or I had too much pure ink on a few of the leaves, but when doing the lines I created some dark brown smudges with my hand on the background. Of course I was not happy about them. I used a wet brush to lighten them as good as possible, one quite large one luckily got covered by the pumkin and other images. To make it even less noticable I splattered some gold metallic watercolor onto the background and wreath. You can hardly see them anymore, right?
Unten am Kranz habe ich dann ein Arrangement aus herbstlichen Motiven aufgeklebt. Der Kürbis - hättet Ihr ihn erkannt? - ist aus dem Set Frisch vom Feld, das Gesicht habe ich einfach nicht mit abgestempelt. Die kleinen Blätter sind aus dem Set Herbstfreunde, die Eicheln haben die Igelfreunde beigesteuert. Und die Pilze sind mit dem Set Pilzparade aus Watercolor gestanzt.
Zum Colorieren habe ich folgende Distress Ink Farben verwendet - sowohl für den Kranz als auch die übrigen Motive: Bundled Sage, Iced Spruce, Speckled Egg, Shabby Shutters, Frayed Burlap, Victorian Velvet, Tattered Rose und Scorched Timber. Und auch wenn es mir schwerfiel, habe ich sogar auf die Highlights mit einem weißen Gelstift verzichtet - die hätten hier einfach nicht gepasst.
Ich habe die Motive mit einem schmalen weißen Rand ausgeschnitten und dann auf einem Schatten-Oval, gemacht mit der Stanze Shadows and Flowers und ebenfalls mit Distress Inks coloriert, angeordnet.
At the bottom of the wreath I added an arrangement of fall-ish images. The pumpkin - would you have guessed it - is from the Set Frisch vom Feld, I simply didn't stamp it's face. The small leaves are from the set Herbstsfreunde, the hedgehogs from Igelfreunde brought the acorns. And the mushrooms I simply die cut from watercolor cardstock using the Pilzparade die set.
To color the images and wreath I used these Distress Ink colors: Bundled Sage, Iced Spruce, Speckled Egg, Shabby Shutters, Frayed Burlap, Victorian Velvet, Tattered Rose and Scorched Timber. And even if I had a hard time to resist, I even skipped the white gel pen highlights, they just didn't fit the way I colored everything.
I cut the images out leaving a very thin edge of white cardstock and arranged them on an oval shadow, die cut with the Shadows and Flowers die and also colored with Ditress Ink.
Den Text habe ich dann einfach über dem Kranz auf die Karte geklebt. Er ist aus dem Set Der Herbst ist Da und mit grauer Tinte auf grau-blauen Cardstock gestempelt.
The text I simply adhered above the wreath. It means "colorful autumn greetings" and is stamped with grey ink onto some grey-ish blue cardstock.

Kürbis und Co sowie den Text habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt.
Um die Karte noch ein klitze kleines bisschen mehr zu füllen, habe ich dann noch ein paar in gelb/gold, rosa und orange irisiende Perlen auf der Karte verteilt. Und irgendwie, so ganz von alleine, ist noch ein kleines weißes Herz auf den Kürbis gehüpft. Zum Schluss habe ich den Cardstock auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
I backed the images and the text with some thin foam tape.
To fill the card just a tad bit more I added some yellow/gold, pink and orange iridescent pearls, and somehow, I have no idea how or when that happened, at little white heart ended up on the pumpkin. As the last step I attached my card panel to a white note card.
