Ich darf gastdesignen!

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
I have some amazing news that I've been keeping for quite a whille now: I was asked to join the amazing MFT DT as a guest designer for the month of november! And oh, I didn't know what to share first.
Today I am sharingthis interactive polar bear card that I've made as a guest designer over at the MFT-Blog. Using the great new Peek-a-Boo Wheel Die-Namics it really is quickly done.

For this card I used the brandnew Beary Best Friends stamp set. Seems like those two friends already catched some good amount of fish. But what's next on the hook? You can see that by turning the wheel.:

I've created the background of the card by covering some regular white cardstock with Distress Oxide Blueprint Sketch. Then I've glued the Snow-Capped Mountains, cut from silver shimmery grey and white cardstock, onto the background.
The water layer was cut from white cardstock as well. I've used one of the Ocean Waves Die-Namics to cut the top border into a wave shape and then colored the white carstock in using Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass and Broken China. I also did some partial die cutting using the same wave border die again a bit under the previously cut border to be able to put the ice bergs behind the waves. I've die cut the Ice Bergs Die-Namics from a light turquoise cardstock and added some shadows using Copics.
From the bottom of the water layer I've die cut the oval window that comes with the Peek-a-Boo Wheel Die-Namics. The wheel itself was cut from white cardstock again and then I've used the same Distress Oxide that I used for the water to color the wheel in, trying to match the shading with the one of the water layer.
The cute Polar Bears were colored in with Copics, using a white gelly marker to add some highlights, and cut out using the matching Die-Namics. I've enlarged the fishing line a bit so I've cut out that part by hand. I needed it long enough to reach the die cut oval from the water layer. I've also stamped and die cut the buckets with fish and the ice floe. The fish in the water and the one on the Peak-a-Boo Wheel are from the Beary Best Friends stamp set as well. I just love that these are 3 fish but using the matching die they get cut out individually!
As I wanted this card to have a fun twist I've only used one fish for the wheel and then added a pot, a coffee mug and a rubber boot. There are so many strange stories out there about things that people catch on a fishing trip so why should it be different for bears? The cooking pot is from the Recipe for Happiness stamp set, the mug from the Our Story stamp set and the rubber boot was cut off of one of the cute girls from the Rain or Shine stamp set. Each image was cut out individually and then glued onto the previously die cut wheel.
After putting the card together I felt like there was something missing on the bottom right of my card. So I've stamped one of the sayings from the Frosty Friends stamp set onto this area.

I also wanted another saying on the inside of the card so I've used one of the sentiments from the Beary Best Friends set here and also added another three fish.
