Heute zeige ich auf dem Kulricke-Blog ein Geschenk zum Einzug. Entstanden ist eine Box mit dem süßen Set Kaktus. So einen gibt es nämlich als
Einzugsgeschenk. Nein, nicht der auf dem
Bild, den habe ich mir zum Fotografieren bei einer meiner Töchter
geliehen. ;)

Today over at the Kulricke Blog I am sharing a little gift for someone that just moved into a new home. I made a box using this cute cactus stamp. Because that's also what I've picked as a gift. And no, it's not the one on the picture. This one I've borrowed from one of my daughter's rooms just for the photo. ;)
Zum Einzug passt natürlich eine Box in Form eines Häuschens. Ich habe hier die Milchbox verwendet. Die Seitenwände habe ich mit einer Schablone und hellgrauer
Tinte "gemauert". Für das Dach habe ich zusätzlich zweimal die nicht
gefalteten Teile des Dachs zusätzlich aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt,
etwas länger als das eigentliche Dach zugeschnitten und auf die Box
geklebt.
Die Seitenteile sind mit kleinen Herzen und Fenster dekoriert.
Um
die Box geschlossen zu halten, habe ich eine Klammer in Farbe des Dachs
angeklipst und daran mit weißem Garn einen Schüsselcharm gebunden.
For this occasion a house shaped box is perfect. I've used the milk carton die here. The walls were given a brick pattern by using a stencil and grey ink. For the roof I've cut two more of the top parts that don't get folded from red cardstock, cut it a bit longer than the original "roof" and glued them onto the box.
The sides are decorated with hearts and windows.
To close the box I've used a clip in the color of the roof and tied a key shaped charm to it using white twine.

Auf eines der Seitenteile habe ich das süße Kaktus-Mädel und einen
passenden Spruch zum Geschenk aufgeklebt. Das Mädel ist mit Copics
coloriert.
One of the sides of the box is decorated with this cute cactus girl and a saying meaning "home is where there is a small green cactus" (there's a german song by the Comedian Harmonists from around 1935 that's about a small green cactus so the saying is kind of connecting to it). The image was colored with Copics.
