Die Frage "kannst Du mal schnell eine Karte machen" kennen wir Bastler von diversen Familenmitgliedern wohl alle. Nun, das ist so eine Karte. Jetzt muss ich aber dazusagen, dass ich damit gerechnet hatte, eine Karte für eine bestimmte Person zu machen, nur das Datum wusste ich nicht. Und so kam der "Auftrag" ein wenig kurzfristig. Aber ich hatte dieses Motiv extra mit der entsprechenden Person im Hinterkopf gekauft, so dass zumindest die Motivwahl schon mal feststand und die Karte in nur 4 Stunden fertig war. Ein wenig Trial und Error war dann doch dabei....

I think every card maker has already heard the question "could you make a quick card" from one or more family members. Well, this is such a short notice card. I have to admit that I was expecting to make this card for a special person, but I didn't know the date. And so the "order" came a bit surprisingly and on a short notice. But I had bought this image last year with exactly this person in mind and so I already knew which image to use and the card was done in just 4 hours - there was a bit of trial and error included....
Ich habe hier zuerst für den Hintergrund die Layering Streamers von HoneyBeeStamps mit Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Broken China und Uncharted Mariner auf weißen Cardstock gewischt. Durch die Konfetti-Lage habe ich Tacky-when-Dry Paste aufgetragen und nach dem Trocknen türkisfarbene Folie darauf abgedrückt.
Darauf kam eine Lage, die ich mit der Comic Burst Stanze von WhimsyStamps gemacht habe. Dafür habe ich die Stanze aus einem Stück schwarzen und einem Stück weißen Cardstock gestanzt. Auf das weiße Stanzteil habe ich dann zuerst den WTF Background von WhimsyStamps in schwarz aufgestempelt. Der war schmäler als meine Karte im Querformat, aber man sieht die Nahtstelle, an der ich den zweiten Abdruck angesetzt habe, kaum. Dann habe ich den Hintergrund mit Distress Ink Broken China, Uncharted Mariner und ein wenig Black Soot gewischt und leicht versetzt auf das schwarze Stanzteil aufgeklebt. Die beiden Hintergrundlagen sind dann mit 3D Tape aufeinander geklebt.
Here I first used the Layering Streamers stencil by HoneyBeeStamps and Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Broken China and Uncharted Mariner to ink the streamers onto a piece of white cardstock. For the confetti I added Tacky-when-Dry paste through the stencil with the confetti layer, once it had dried I put some turquoise foil onto it.
On top of that layer I added another layer, die cut with the Comic Burst die by WhimsyStamps from black and also white cardstock. Onto the white die cut I stamped the WTF Background by WhimsyStamps with black ink. The stamp wasn't wide enough for my landscape card, but you can hardly see the seam between the two stamped images. I inked up the white cardstock with Distress Ink Broken China, Uncharted Mariner and a bit of Black Soot, glued it onto the black die cut moving the white one a bit to the top left and then used foam tape to glue the streamer layer and the one with the comic burst cut out on top of each other.
Das süße Stinktier ist aus dem Stempelset Gefurztagskind von Create a Smile. Ich weiß, am Motiv bzw. Thema der Karte scheiden sich die Geister, und ich gehe jetzt auch nicht weiter darauf ein, warum ich genau dieses Set für die entsprechende Person gewählt habe. Aber ich finde es einfach genial! Ich habe dem kleinen Kerlchen hier das kleine Geschenk und den Kuchen aus dem Set Tierisch Vielseitig in die Hände gegeben, der Luftballon ist aus dem Set Glückspost. Die Motive sind mit Copics coloriert - und so ein "stink" muss natürlich giftgrün sein!
Die Texte sind aus den Sets Gefurztagskind - oben - sowie Farty - let's have a. Und ja, von diesem Set brauchte ich die englische und die deutsche Variante! Ich habe diese Texte jeweils mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Der obere Text ist mit 3D Tape linksbündig über die Karte geklebt, den unteren habe ich ebenfalls mit 3D Tape in das Fenster mit den Luftschlangen geklebt.
Für das Wort Farty habe ich dann die Buchstaben mit dem Spell Anything Alphabet von MFT aus schwarzem und grünem Cardstock gestanzt. Die grünen Buchstaben habe ich noch mit Distress Ink Mowed Lawn ein wenig schattiert, sie dann ein wenig versetzt auf die schwarzen Buchstaben geklebt und alle wieder mit 3D Tape auf die Karte geklebt.
Als Deko habe ich dann noch ein paar goldene Pailetten hinzugefügt
This cute skunk is from the Farty stamp set by Create a Smile. I know, you either love or hate the image or theme of this card. And I'm also not going to talk about why just this image was perfect for the recipient. But I think it's genius! Here I used the small present image and cake image from the Tierisch Vielseitig stamp set, the balloon is from the Very Special Mail stamp set. I colored them all with Copics - and a "farty" just has to be a bright green!
The texts - and yes, I just had to have both the german and the english version of this set, are white heat embossed onto strip of black cardstock. I glued the larger one to the top left of the card, the small one is glued into the comic burst cut out and onto the layer with the streamers.
For the word farty I've die cut the letters from black and green cardstock using the Spell Anything Alphabet by MFT. I shaded the green ones with a bit of Distress Ink Mowed Lawn, then glued them a bit offset onto the black ones and then with foam tape onto the card.
For decorations I added a few golden sequins.
