Na, seid Ihr schon im Sommer angekommen? Wenn nicht, hilft vielleicht das Moodboard der neuen Create a Smile Challenge. Das ist so wunderbar sonnig, tropisch und sommerlich, dass ich sofort in Sommerstimmung war!

Do you have those summer vibes already? If not, maybe the moodboard of the new Create a Smile Challenge helps. It's wonderfully sunny, tropical and summer-ish that I was in a summer mood immediately!
Na, hab ich Euch zu viel versprochen! Türkis und gelb ist außerdem eine meiner liebsten Farbkombis. Zusammen mit den Zitronen auf dem Bild unten links war sofort die Idee zu dieser Karte geboren:
Did I promise too much? Aqua and yellow are also one of my favorite color combos. In combination with the lemons from the picture at the bottom left of the moodboard, I immediately had the idea for this card in my head:
Hier habe ich auf einem Stück weißen Cardstocks etwa die obere Hälfte mit Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers und Salvaged Patina gewischt. Dann habe ich Wasser darauf gespritzt.
Die Strahlen habe ich dann mit dem Focal Point Stencil und weißer Pigment Ink aufgewischt. Da der türkisfarbene Hintergrund noch sehr frisch war, hat er die weiße Stempeltinte doch gut verfärbt und die Strahlen wirken ein wenig grünlich. Aber sie passen trotzdem ins Farbkonzept, finde ich.
Here I inked the upper half of a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina, then flicked some droplets of water onto the color.
I added the rays with the Focal Point stencil and some white pigment ink. Since the turquoise background was still pretty fresh and not dried, the white ink picked up some of the color and my rays ended up a bit green-ish. But I think, they still go great with the color concept.
Die Zitronen sind aus dem Stempelset Fruit Salad. Ich habe sie übereinander maskiert und mit heller Tinte gestempelt. Dann habe ich sie mit Polychromos in No-Line Coloring Technik coloriert und anschließend alle zusammen ausgeschnitten.
Hinter die Zitronen habe ich dann einige Blätter und Blüten gesetzt. Die habe ich mit Stanzen aus den Sets Lemon Alphas, Cherry Lowercase und Window Pocket aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und ebenfalls mit Polychromos coloriert.
Die Blüten und Blätter habe ich dann direkt auf den Hintergrund, die Zitronen mit dünnem 3D Tape darauf aufgeklebt. Und um den Motiven einen Boden zu geben, habe ich mit Copics noch einen zusammenhängenden Schatten darunter gemalt.
Der Text ist aus dem Stempelset Heute wird Gut. Ich finde, der passt so toll zu den sonnig-gelben Zitronen. Das Hallo habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte, das Sonnenschein mit zwei verschiedenen Gelbtönen abgestempelt, so dass es einen Ombrè-Look bekommen hat.
The lemons are from the Fruit Salad stamp set. I did some masking to stamp them behind each other and used a very light ink to stamp them. Then I used my Polychromos to color them in no-line technique and cut them out as one piece.
Behind the lemons I placed some leaves and blossoms. I made those using dies from the sets Lemon Alphas, Cherry Lowercase and Window Pocket to die cut them from white cardstock, then colored them with my Polychromos again.
I adhered the flowers and leaves directly to the cardstock, then put the lemons with some thin foam tape on top. And to ground the images, I used my Copics to draw one large shadow under them.
The text means "hello sunshine" and is from the Good Day stamp set. I think, it goes great with the sunny yellow lemons. I stamped the hello with black ink, for the word sunshine I used two tones of yellow, so the word has an ombrè look.
Zum Schluss habe ich einige klare Enamel Dots mit goldenem Glitter darin auf der oberen Hälte des Cardstocks verteilt, ihn schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
To finish the card, I added a few clear Enamel Dots with gold glitter to the top half of my cardstock, matted it black and adhered it to a white note card.
