Für meinen heutigen Post auf dem Stampcorner Blog fand ich, dass es mal wieder an der Zeit sei, ein etwas älteres Stempelset hervorzuholen. Die Wahl ist auf das Set Dahlie gefallen und damit ist diese Karte entstanden.

For my post over on the Stampcorner Blog today I decided, that it was time again, to bring out an older stamp set. I picked the Dahlie set and made this card with it.
Ich habe hier zwei gleichgroße Stücke weißen Cardstocks zugeschnitten und die Dahlien mit Hilfe des Misti jeweils mit schwarzer Tinte auf beiden Stücken an jeweils exakt die selbe Stelle gestempelt. Mit dem Misti geht das ja zum Glück super einfach. Anschließend habe ich von einem der Cardstockstücke rundum einen Streifen von 1 cm weggeschnitten.
I cut two pieces of white cardstock the same size and stamped the dahlias with black ink and the help of my Misti on exactly the same place on both cardstock pieces. Thanks to the Misti that's easy to do. Then I cut a strip of 1 cm from each side of one of the cardstock panels.
Dieses nun kleinere Stück Cardstock habe ich - von unten rechts nach oben links - dann mit Distress Ink Spun Sugar, Saltwater Taffy, Worn Lipstick sowie einem dunklen Pink einer anderen Marke gewischt und mit etwas Wasser besprenkelt.
Ich wollte, dass die Blüten noch etwas besser zur Geltung kommen. Also habe ich meine Polychromos verwendet und in verschiedenen Rot- und Rosatönen die einzelnen Blütenblätter coloriert. Dabei habe ich einfach die zuvor aufgewischte Tinte übermalt. Außerdem habe ich nicht viel Wert darauf gelegt, die einzelnen Farbtöne perfekt zu verblenden. Bei Dahlien liebe ich gerade die unterschiedlichen Töne, die jedes einzelne Blütenblatt aufweist.
Das Für Dich ist aus dem Stempelset Glücksset. Ich habe es mit schwarzer Tinte etwas mittig auf den Cardstock und über die Blüten aufgestempelt und als Deko einige weiße Perlen drumherum verteilt.
I used Distress Ink Spun Sugar, Saltwater Taffy, Worn Lipstick and a dark pinkish red from another brand to ink this now smaller piece of cardstock from the bottom right to the top left, then flicked some water onto it.
I wanted my flowers to be a bit more prominent. So I brought out my Polychromos and colored the flowers with different tones of red and pink. I simply colored over the ink I applied to the cardstock earlier. I also didn't pay much attention to blending the colors perfectly. With dahlias I especially love the different colors each petal shows.
As my text I used a "for you". I stamped it with black ink about centered onto the cardstock, putting it on top of a few small areas of the flowers. Then I put some white pearls as decorations around the text.
Anschließend habe ich den kleineren, nun farbigen Cardstock mit 3D Tape auf den schwarz-weißen Cardstock geklebt und zwar so, dass das Motiv fortlaufend ist. Dann habe ich alles schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
Then I used foam tape to attach the smaller, now colored cardstock, onto the black and white one, making sure, the image continues flawlessly from one cardstock piece to the other. Then I matted the white cardstock black and attached everything to a white note card.
