Gestern habe ich Euch ja die Karte gezeigt, die ich eigentlich für meine Nichte gemacht hatte, die dann aber irgendwie nicht zu ihr passte. Heute folgt nun die Karte, die ich stattdessen für sie gemacht habe.

Yesterday I shared the card I made, with my niece in mind, that then just didn't seem to suit her. So today I am showing you the card I made her instead.
Es war mal wieder "göttliche Fügung" - in dem Moment, in dem mir die ersten Zweifel über die erste Karte kamen, ging ein Video von Jennifer McGuire online. Sie zeigte darin Graduation Cards mit der ausgestanzten Jahreszahl 2023 in der Front, durch die man einen dahinter eingeschobenen Geldschein sehen konnte. Nun ist es so, dass der Name meiner Nichte ebenfalls nur 4 Buchstaben hat - und schon war die Idee zu der Karte geboren! Für manche Altersgruppen finde ich es extrem schwer, eine passende Karte zu gestalten. Aber ich denke, diese hier passt super zu einer jetzt 11-Jährigen - nicht zu verspielt, aber auch noch nicht zu erwachsen.
Für den Hintergrund habe ich wieder den Birthday Balloons Bold von HeroArts verwendet. Diesmal habe ich ihn mit heller Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und mit Copics in No-Line Coloring Technik coloriert. Auch die Zwischenräume habe ich mit Copics in sehr dunklem Grau eingefärbt. Anschließend habe ich die Outlines - und Luftschlangen - mit silberfarbenem Embossingpulver aufembosst.
Once again it was a happy coincidence - the moment I started getting doubts about the first card, Jennifer McGuire release a new video. She shares some graduation cards with a 2023 cut out from the front, through which you can see some money, that's put behind it. Well, my niece's name also only contains four letters - and that's how the idea for this card came to my mind. I really have a hard time to make cards for specific ages. But I think, this one is great for a now 11 year old - not too playful but also not too grown up.
For the background I used the Birthday Balloons Bold by HeroArts again. This time I stamped it with very light ink and did some no-line coloring to color it in, also filling the space around the images with a very dark grey. Then I re-stamped the outlines and silver heat embossed them.
Sowohl aus dem Cardstock als auch aus der Front des Kartenrohlings habe ich dann die Buchstaben NINA ausgestanzt und jeweils mit Folie hinterlegt. Dann habe ich den Cardstock mit 3D Tape auf den Kartenrohling geklebt, so dass hinter den Buchstaben ein See Through Shaker entsanden ist. Den habe ich mit kleine silbernen und pinkfarbenen Perlen sowie hell- und dunkellila Herzen gefüllt habe. Beim Aufkleben des 3D Tapes habe ich um jeden Buchstaben ein eigenes Fenster kreiert, so dass jeder der Buchstaben immer mit etwas Material gefüllt ist, selbst wenn alles nach unten geschüttelt ist.
Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich das Elegant Folded Banner von MFT gestanzt und mit schwarzer Tinte ein Happy Birthday aus dem Set Hats Off to You von LawnFawn aufgestempelt. Die beiden Worte habe ich beim Aufkleben ins Misti so gebogen, dass sie sich an die Form des Banners anpassen. Dann habe ich das Banner etwas mit Copics schattiert und mit 3D Tape zwischen die beiden Reihen Buchstaben geklebt.
Und ein kleines Motiv durfte dann doch nicht fehlen. Ich habe mich für das Hippo aus dem Little Signage Agenda Set von MamaElephant entschieden. Den konnte ich so colorieren, dass er farblich zum Rest der Karte passt, und außerdem auf das Schild, das er hält, noch eine 11 aufstempeln. Außerdem habe ich ihm einen Luftballon in die Hand gegeben. Nach dem Ausschneiden habe ich ihn ebenfalls mit 3D Tape neben das I gesetzt - das ist ja schmaler als die restlichen Buchstaben, das konnte ich hiermit etwas kaschieren.
Und weil mir die Buchstaben irgendwie zu versteckt waren, habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift noch feine weiße Linien um jeden Buchstaben gemalt.
From the cardstock as well as the card front I die cut the letters NINA and put some acetate behind each pieces. Then I attached the cardstock to the cardbase with foam tape, to create a see through shaker behind the letters. I filled that with tiny silver and pink beads and light and dark purple hearts. When putting the foam tape onto the cardstock, I create a frame around each letter, so even when all the shaker material is shaked to the bottom, there's still some visible in each letter.
From white cardstock I die cut the Elegant Folded Banner by MFT and stamped a happy birthday from the Hats Off to You stamp set by LawnFawn onto it using black ink. When putting the two words in my Misti, I bent the stamps to make them go with the shape of the banner. I shaded the banner a bit with my Copics and then glued it between the two rows of letters using foam tape.
And then I just had to add a little image. I went with the hippo from the Little Signage Agenda by MamaElephant. I was able to color it matching the other colors used on this card, and also stamp a 11 onto the sign, he's holding. I also let him hold a little balloon. After I cut him out, I put him next to the i, again using foam tape. Since the i isn't as wide as the rest of the letters, I could fill the empty space with the image.
And since the letters just seemed to disappear a bit, I used a white gel pen to draw a fine line around each letter.
Mit einer der Stitched Rectangle Frames von Create a Smile habe ich dann noch einen schmalen Rahmen aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und auf die Karte aufgeklebt.
Hier habe ich die Karte mal geöffnet aufgestellt. Das Shaker Material ist nach unten gerutscht und man kann gut sehen, dass die Buchstaben komplett durchsichtig sind.
Using one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames by Create a Smile I die cut a thin frame from white cardstock and glued it onto the background.
Here I opened the card and put it up. The shaker material is at the bottom of each letter and you can see pretty well, that all the letters are completly see through.
Und zum Abschluss habe ich noch ein Bild für Euch, auf dem man die unterschiedlichen Ebenen und den Glanz des Embossingpulvers sowie des Shaker Materials gut erkennen kann.
Und was soll ich sagen - die Karte war fertig und sie fühlte sich einfach richtig und passend an!
