Meine Zwillinge hatten Geburtstag - die Karte für eine der beiden habe ich Euch ja bereits gezeigt. Die zweite ist, wie auch schon erwähnt, gerade für ein Auslandssemester in Australien. Da musste die Karte natürlich passend....

My twins just celebrated their birthday - the card for one of them I already shared with you. The other half of my twins is currently for six months in Australia. Of course I had to make my card make aussie related!
Gleich vorweg - ja, die Karte ist relativ schlicht, zumindest für mich. Aber ich war mir nicht sicher, wie eine Karte mit vielen Lagen die weite Reise nach Australien überstehen würde. Und deswegen habe ich alle Elemente direkt aufeinander geklebt und keinerlei 3D Tape verwendet.
Ich habe hier eine Strandszene mit Bergen im Hintergrund gestaltet und natürlich durfte das Thema Surfen nicht fehlen.
Für den Hintergrund habe ich erst das Meer und den Himmel verdeckt und den Boden mit Distress Oxide Antique Linen und Ground Espresso gewischt und dort dann etwas verdünntes Ground Espresso sowie weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.
Dann habe ich den Mountain Stencil von LawnFawn aufgelegt und die Berge mit Tea Dye und Gathered Twigs gewischt. Auch hier habe ich wieder etwas des verdünnten Tea Dye aufgespritzt.
Als nächstes habe ich mit Salty Ocean das Meer gewischt und Wellenlinien mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt.
Und ganz zum Schluss kam der Himmel. Ich habe ein Stück Masking Tape rund ausgestanzt und auf den Himmel geklebt. Den habe ich dann mit Tumbled Glass und Mermaid Lagoon gewischt und dabei rund um die Sonne etwas Platz gelassen. Dann habe ich die Maske abgenommen und die Sonne mit Squeezed Lemonade gewischt.
Before I talk about the details of the card - yes, it's a quite simple one, at least for me. But I really wasn't sure how good a card with lots of layer would handle the trip all the way to Australia. And so I glued all elements directly onto each other without using any foam tape.
I created a beach scene with mountains in the background. And of course I also had to include something surfing related.
For the background I first covered the ocean and the sky and inked the ground with Distress Oxide Antique Linen and Ground Espresso, then flicked some Ground Espresso mixed with water and some white acrylic paint onto it.
Then I put the Mountain stencil by LawnFawn onto the cardstock and inked the mountains with Tea Dye and Gathered Twigs. Again I added some splatter with some watered down Tea Dye.
Next I inked the ocean with Salty Ocean and added some waves with a white gel pen.
And as a last step I did the sky. I die cut a circle from some masking tape and glued it onto the sky. Then I inked the area around it with Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon, leaving some kind of halo around the sun white. Then I removed the mask and inked the sun with Squeezed Lemonade.
Für die Geburtstags-Surf-Szene kamen natürlich hauptsächlich die Stempelsets Kanga-Rriffic und Kanga-Rriffic Add-On zum Einsatz. Alle Motive habe ich mit Copics coloriert.
Der Kookaburra im Baum, die Eidechse auf dem Stein und alle Kängurus tragen Partyhüte, die ich aus verschiedenen Sets zusammengesucht habe. Die ganz kleinen sind, genauso wie die Torte, aus dem Tiny Birthday Friends Set.
Das springende Känguru - ich behaupte mal, es ist der Vater - trägt eine Sonnenbrille aus dem On the Beach Set, sein Surfbrett hat er sich vom Weihnachtsmann aus dem Set Beachy Christmas geliehen. Das Brett habe ich, genau wie das meiner Tochter, mit ein paar rosafarbenen Blüten verziert.
Mama Känguru trägt in ihrem Beutel ein Geschenk und einen Blumenstrauß. Praktisch, so ein Beutel, denn so hat man die Hände frei! Und das kleine Surfbrett hinter dem Känguru-Mädchenhabe ich aus dem Set Car Critters Road Trip Add-On genommen. Die Partytröte ist dann wieder aus dem Tiny Birthday Friends Set.
Und weil sie zu einer Party einfach gehören, habe ich noch zwei Luftballons aus dem Elephant Parade Add-On Set mit auf die Karte geklebt.
In den Sandboden habe ich mit den Sandy Beach Accents Stanzen einige Schlitze gestanzt und die Motive teilweise dahinter geschoben.
For my birthday-surf-scene I mainly used images from the Kanga-Rriffic set and the Kanga-Rriffic Add-On Set. I colored all of them with Copics.
The Kookaburra in the tree, the lizard on the stone and all kangaroos are wearing party hats that I picked from different sets. The really tiny ones are, just like the birthday cake, from the Tiny Birthday Friends set.
The jumping kangaroo - I think it's the dad here - is wearing sun glasses from the On the Beach set, his surf board he borrowed from Santa from the Beachy Christmas set. I decorated it with some pink flowers to make it look like my daughter's.
Mama kangaroo has put a gift and a present into her bag. I think that's very handy because this way you always have your hands free. The little surf board behind the kangaroo girl I took from the Car Critters Road Trip Add-On set.
And since they just belong to any birthday party I added two balloons from the Elephant Parade Add-On set.
I cut some slits into the beach using the Sandy Beach Accents dies and put the images partly into them.
Irgendwo wollte ich dann auch noch einen Text unterbringen - und der Himmel bot sich dafür an. Aber einfach einen Text draufstempeln wollte ich nicht. Also habe ich eine der Partygirlanden aus dem Fishtail Banner Border Set aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Auf den mittleren Fähnchen habe ich dann ein HB2U verteilt - gestempelt mit dunkelgrüner Tinte - und auf die beiden äußeren Fähnchen kleine Herzen geklebt.
Das Banner habe ich dann quer über den Himmel geklebt und dort dann noch zwei Möwen aus dem Life is Good Set aufgestempelt.
Of course my card needed a text and the sky was the perfect spot. But I didn't want to just stamp it onto it. So I die cut one of the party banners from the Fishtail Banner Border Set from white cardsdtock and colored it with Copics. Onto the four banners in the middle I stamped HB2U with dark green ink, onto the banners on the very left and right I glued two small hearts.
I've hung the banner across the sky and then stamped two flying sea birds from the Life is Good set onto the sky.
