Heute zeige ich Euch eine weitere Geburtstagskarte, die ich mit den Postage Collage Stanzen von WaffleFlower gemacht habe. Und die ist der Karte von vor ein paar Tagen sehr ähnlich. Ich konnte mich nämlich nicht entscheiden, welches Stencilset ich für meine Idee verwenden sollte und dachte mir, wenn ich eh schon alles hervorhole, kann ich auch gleich beide Varianten machen.

Today I am shraing with you another birthday card I made using the Postage Collage die sets by WaffleFlower. This card is pretty similar to the one I shared with you a few days ago. I just wasn't able to decide, which stencil set I wanted to try my idea with, and since I was bringing out all the stuff I thought, I could also try both versions.
Das Lustige hier ist, dass ich im Vorfeld sicher war, dass mir diese Karte besser gefallen wird. Aber im Nachhinein bin ich mir da nicht so sicher.
Auch hier habe ich den Hintergrund, diesmal mit dem Layered Candles Stencil Set von PrettyPinkPosh, in Grautönen auf grauen Cardstock gestencilt und dann weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. Dann habe ich die ausgestanzten Briefmarken darauf ausgelegt und auf die rechteckigen Aufleger die Kerzen farbig aufgestencilt. Für die Kerzen habe ich drei verschiedene Rottöne benutzt, die Flammen sind gelb gewischt. Die Muster der Kerzen habe ich dann mit weißer Pigmenttinte aufgetragen. Tja, und dann hatte ich nicht daran gedacht, dass ja der Cardstock rund um die Kerzen auch weiß ist, das fand ich zu fad. Also habe ich einen dunkelgrauen Copic genommen und die Bereiche drumherum eingefärbt. Die Briefmarken habe ich dann wieder - deckungsgleich mit dem grauen Muster - auf dem Hintergrund verteilt.
The funny thing is that when I started making these cards I was pretty sure, that I'd like this card better. But now I'm not that sure anymore.
Again I stenciled the background in greys on light grey ink, this time using the Layered Candles Stencils set by PrettyPinkPosh, and splattered white acrylic paint on top. Then I laid out the cut out postage stamps and stenciled the candles with colored inks onto the rectangle toppers. I used three different shades of red for the candles and yellow for the flames. The patterns on the candles I added with white pigment ink. Well, I realized that I didn't think about the fact, that the cardstock around the candles would be white as well, and that was way too boring. So I used a dark grey Copic marker to color those areas. Then I put the postage stamps - again matching the pattern in the grey cardstock - onto the background.
Auf die Briefmarken habe ich mit weißer Tinte wieder Werte aufgestempelt, das sieht man aber nicht so toll. Deswegen habe ich auch auf Entwertungslinien verzichtet. Aber einen Rahmen mit einem silbernen Metallic Gelstift habe ich wieder aufgemalt.
Für den Text habe ich die Wish Ornament Stanze von HeroArts benutzt und dabei nur das Wort, ohne den Kreis drumherum, verwendet. Ich habe das Wort dreimal aus weißem Cardstock und für die oberste Lage einmal aus rotem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt und alles leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt. Ich finde, das H passt so schön in die Lücke...
Um den Text habe ich einen Ring, gestanzt aus silbernem Spiegel-Cardstock mit einer der Stitched Circle Frames von Create a Smile, gelegt. Dann habe ich den Text mit einem "make a" sowie einem "it's your day" aus dem Itty Bitty Birthday Set von MFT ergänzt.
I used white pigment ink to stamp the value on each stamp, but it's really hard to see. That's also why I skipped the cancellation marks. Instead I added a frame with a silver metallic gel pen onto each of the postage stamps.
For the text I used the Wish Ornament die by HeroArts but only used the word, without the circle around it, on my card. I cut the word three times from white cardstock and for the top layer once from red mirror cardstock and stacked them a bit offset. I think, the H fits perfectly into that little gap between the postage stamps...
Around the die cut word I put a ring, die cut from silver mirror cardstock using one of the dies from Stitched Circle Frames by Create a Smile. Then I completed the text with a "make a" and a "it's your day" from Itty Bitty Birthday by MFT.
Beim Zusammensetzen der Karte kam teilweise wieder 3D Tape zum Einsatz. Als Deko habe ich, passend zu dem roten Spiegel-Cardstock, einige rote Stern-Konfetti aufgeklebt.
Dann habe ich den dekorierten Cardstock auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
To put the card together I added foam tape behind some of the postage stamps. Matching the red mirror cardstock I added some small red star confetti as decoration.
Then I adherd the card panel to a white note card.
