Cupcake Craft # 83

Schönen Montag Morgen Euch allen! Montag bedeutet nicht nur der Start in eine neue Woche, sondern auch der Start einer neuen Challenge bei Cupcake Craft! Diesmal heißt das Thema "Food & Drinks" - also Essen und Trinken. Da war Tilda mit dem frisch gebackenen Muffin perfekt - und das Papier mit den leckeren Muffins paßte super. Happy monday to all of you! Monday - that means not only the beginning of a new week but also the beginning of a new challenge over at Cupcake Craft! This week we have the theme of "food and drinks" for you. Tilda with that yummy cupcake was perfekt for this - and the cupcake paper goes so well with it. Bei Saturday Spotlight ist die Aufgabe, eine Karte zu machen, auf der die Farbe Deines Geburtssteines vorkommt. Ich bin ja im Dezember geboren was bedeutet, daß ich das schöne Blau des Topas verwenden darf.

At Saturday Spotlight they want us to make a birthday card on which we use the color of our birth stone. I am born in december so I had to use the clear blue of a Blue Topaz.

Und Just Us Girls hat eine Farbkombi für uns: hellblau, hellbraun, hellgelb und hellgrün. Das Gelb ist bei mir etwas untergegangen...

And Just Us Girls is having a color combo for us: light blue, light brown, light yellow and light green. Well, there isn´t much yellow on my card but at least a bit!

Roses on Paper # 33

Bei Roses on Paper haben wir diesmal die Aufgabe für Euch, eine Osterkarte oder auch ein Osterprojekt in Pastelltönen zu gestalten.

Und auch an das Rezept von Magnolia Down Under habe ich mich gehalten: 3 Motivpapiere, 3 Blumen, 2 Knöpfe und 1 Schleife.
An dieser Stelle möchte ich mich auch bedanken, daß sie meine Karte für die letzte Challenge als eine der Top 6 Karten gewählt haben!

Ich habe den goldigen Magnolia-Stempel aus der letztjährigen Osterkollektion jetzt zum ersten Mal verwendet... *schäm* Die Papiere sind größtenteils aus meiner Reste-Kiste.

Roses on Paper # 32

Es ist wieder Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Roses On Paper! Und diesmal lautet das Thema "card for a boy/male". Oh je kann ich Euch stöhnen hören... Und ich gebe es zu, auch ich habe damit immer meine Probleme. Aber nachdem ich die Idee für die obige Karte erstmal hatte, ging alles fast wie von selbst.

It´s time for a new challenge over at Roses On Paper! This week our theme is "card for a boy/male". I can hear you... And I have to admit that these are hard for me as well. But once I had the idea for my card everything came together so easily.

Das Motiv ist "Heartbreaker Edwin" von Magnolia. Ich habe silbernen Spiegelkarton mit der Cuttlebug embosst und auch das schwarze Papier ist einmal durch die Cuttlebug gedreht worden. Dazu habe ich dann mit weißer Stempelfarbe von Stampin´Up die Ränder und das Relief etwas hervorgehoben. Der Filmstreifen ist von Tim Holtz. Das "X" ist ein Chipboardbuchstabe, den ich mit silbernem Embossingpulver überzogen habe. Auch der Text - ebenfalls von Stampin´Up - ist silber embosst. Im Hintergrund habe ich ein - wohl ziemlich altes und gebraucht gekauftes - Stampin´ Wheel von Stampin Up verwendet, das ein Lineal oder einen Zollstock darstellt. Die Ränder um das Motiv und am roten Papier sind mit schwarzer Tinte distresst. Dazu dann noch ein paar Schrauben-Brads und Spiegel-Mosaik-Steinchen und die Karte war fertig.

The image is "Heartbreaker Edwin" by Magnolia. I used some silver mirror cardstock in my Cuttlebug to create that look of a metal sheet. Also the black paper was embossed and to make the texture pop out some more I added some white ink by Stampin Up. The film strip ribbon is by Tim Holtz. The "X" is a chipboard letter that I heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I used this powder for the saying - also by Stampin Up - as well. In the background I used a - quite old and used bought - stamping wheel by Stampin Up that shows a ruler. The edges around the image and the red paper are distressed with black ink. I added some screw brads and some mirror mosaic pieces to finish the card.

Und auch das Thema von Saturday Spotlight habe ich eingebaut: "mess around". Sie wollen eine "unordentliche" Karte - ich denke, so kann man es übersetzten - mit gerissenen oder distressten Kanten oder auch zerknitterten Papieren. Wenn Ihr auf die Karte klickt und sie Euch größer anschaut, kann man mein Chaos besser erkennen.

And I was able to include also the theme over at Saturday Spotlight: mess around. They want cards with teared or distressed edges or wrinkled papers. If you click on the card to see it lager you´ll be able to see the mess I made better.

Saturday Spotlight # 15 und Sketch Saturday # 87

Ich habe mit meinen Mädels gerade Bastelnachmittag gemacht - sie haben Geburtstagskarten für ihre Freundin gemacht und ich die Karte, die Ihr oben sehen könnt. Dazu habe ich den aktuellen Sketch von Sketch Saturday verwendet:

Und das neue Thema bei Saturday Spotlight heißt "let the sunshine in". Und entstehen sollen - folgerichtig - sonnige Karten in Gelbtönen oder auch kräftigen Farben. Mein Gelb geht etwas ins Orange, was wohl hauptsächlich damit zu tun hat, daß ich keine gelben Copics habe. Häh? Ja, so ist das. Nur ganz wenige für blonde Haare - aber mehr sind unterwegs.LOL
Das Motiv ist von Sugar Nellie und gibt es etwas "sonnigeres" als die große gelbe - äh orangene - Blume? Der Text ist von Studio G, die Papiere von DCWV und K&Company.

And the new theme over at Saturday Spotlight is "let the sunshine in". We are asked to make - guessed right - sunny cards in mostly yellow tones or also bright colors. My yellow tends to be orange. The main reason therefor is for sure the fact that I don´t have any yellow Copics. What? Yes, it´s true. I only have a few ones to make blond hair - but more are on their way.LOL
The image is by Sugar Nellie and can there be anything that reminds us more of sun and spring/summer than this big yellow - sorry, orange flower? Saying is by Studio G, papers are by DCWV and K&Company.

Sketch Saturday # 86 , Saturday Spotlight # 14 und Just Us Girls #16

Bei Saturday Spotlight heißt das Thema diesmal "snowflakes gone wild". Benutzt so viele davon wie möglich oder macht daraus etwas ganz anderes, z. B. einen Rahmen. Na, habt Ihr meine Schneeflocken gefunden? Ich habe daraus - einer Spellbinders Stanze - die Blume gebastelt.
Und dann habe ich auch noch die Farbkombi von Just Us Girls verwendet: burgunder-rot, grau, blush und vanille. Fragt mich nicht nach dem deutschen Wort für blush! Es ist eine Mischung aus hautfarben und rosa. Gut, daß mein Copic-Marker genau denselben Namen trägt. So wußte ich gleich, was gemeint war.LOL

Saturday Spotlight´s new theme is "snowflakes gone wild". You can either use a bunch of these or use them in a different way, for example make a wreath for frame from them. So, have you found the snowflakes on my card yet? I used them - cut with a Spellbinders die - to create the flower.
And finally I also used the new color combo of burgundy, blush, grey and vanilla which Just Us Girls has picked for their new challenge. There isn´t a german name for blush and so I was happy my Copic Marker had the same name to make sure I used the right color.LOL

Das Motiv ist "Cupcake" aus der neuen Sweet Things Collection von Belles´n´Whistles. Ich habe es diesmal für eine Geburtstagskarte verwendet. Die Papiere sind von DCWV und My Mind´s Eye, die Buchstaben für den Text mit dem Computer geschrieben.

Stempeleinmaleins - Woche 8

Hier ist sie - die erste Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins für 2010! Diesmal gibt es von Tanja ein Tutorial für einen Geburtstagskalender - inclusive der nötigen Kalenderblätter als Download. Wenn das kein Service ist!
Ich habe mich für die Februar-Seite entschieden (mehr Seiten habe ich leider noch nicht geschafft), denn ich mußte einfach noch einen weiteren der Belles´n´Whistles Valentinstag-Stempel verwenden. Ach, jung müßte man nochmal sein...LOL Der Name des Stempels lautet "Sweet Love". Ich finde dieses Motiv einfach zu süß - und die Größe war perfekt für die Kalenderseite.
Falls Ihr es noch nicht getan habt, dann hüpft unbedingt auf den Stempeleinmaleins-Blog. Dort gibt es neben der Anleitung und dem Downloadlink auch die wunderschönen Seiten der anderen Team-Mitglieder.
Und da mir Vicky in einem Kommentar verraten hat, daß die neue Challenge by Saturday Spothlight etwas mit Kalendern zu tun hat habe ich sofort nachgesehen und reiche dieses Kalenderblatt für die dortige Challenge ein. Danke Vicky für den Hinweis!

Here it is - the very first issue of Stempeleinmaleins in 2010! This week Tanja created a wonderful tutorial for a birthday calendar - including the calendar sheets as a download. That´s service!
I decided to make the february sheet first (didn´t have the time to make more yet) because I had to use another one of the adorable Belles´n´Whistles valentine´s stamps. To be young again...LOL This image is called "Sweet Love". I just love it - and it was perfect in size for the calendar sheet.
If you didn´t yet you have to hop over to the Stempeleinmaleins blog. There you won´t just find the tutorial and the download link but also the beautiful calendar sheets the other DT members did.
And since Vicky told me that the new challenge over at Saturday Spotlight is about calendars as well I am entering my calendar sheet in their first challenge for 2010. Thanks again Vicky!

Bei Saturday Spotlight gilt das Motto "the music within your soul"...
Und außerdem gibt es bei Roses On Paper die Farbvorgabe Cranberry, Jägergrün und/oder Gold. Ich habe den Jäger im Wald gelassen und nur rot und gold verwendet. Einfach eine so edle Kombination. Eie Ränder rund um das Motiv und einige der Hintergrundpapiere habe ich mit goldfarbenem Embossingpulver verziert, ebenso die Papierblumen.
Das Motiv ist von aus der zweiten Weihnachtskollektion von Belles´n´Whistles und heißt "Two Turtle Doves".

And at Roses On Paper they have a color combo of cranberry, hunter green and/or gold. I sent the hunter to the wood and only used red and gold. This is such an elegant combo! I distressed the edges around the image and on the patterned papers with some golden embossing powder, so did I with the paper flowers.

Ich habe den Sketch um 90° Grad gedreht um ihn an mein Motiv anzupassen.
Und bei Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential gilt diesmal das Motto "hat", also Hut. Hmm, klingt kompliziert, ist es aber gar nicht. Alles, bei dem irgendwo ein Hut vorkommt zählt. Na wenn die süße Elf - oder heißt es dann bei Mädchen Elfe? - nicht einen tollen Hut auf dem Kopf hat!
Der Stempel ist von Whiff Of Joy und er ist heute ganz neu bei mir im Briefkasten gelandet. Der Text ist von Stampin´Up, die Papiere aus meiner "Restekiste". Und Entschuldigung für den total schiefen Charm auf dem Foto, da hatte ich gar nicht drauf geachtet. Kommt davon, wenn man die Dinger frei baumelnd befestigt. LOL

And Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential has named its new challenge "hat". Hmm, sounds quite complicated but it really isn´t. Anything with any hat on it counts. So, isn´t that hat the cute elfe is wearing not a nice one?!
The image is by Whiff Of Joy and this stamp found the way to me today. Saying is by Stampin´Up, papers from my scrap stash. And sorry for the charms on the picture - I really didn´t realize one of them is totally gone to the right. That´s what happens if you conect them hanging loose.LOL

Ich habe "Belle´s Carols" von Belles´n´Whistles verwendet. Hat Elisabeth Bell diese Stempel nicht einfach zauberhaft gezeichnet? Und wenn Ihr sie genauso liebt wie ich, habe ich noch einen kleinen "Geheimetipp" für Euch: Am Montag findet der bereits 3. Blog Hop beim Belles´n´Whisltes Blog statt - und wir werden Euch die zweite Weihnachtskollektion vorstellen! Glaubt mir, die sind mindestens genauso wundervoll wie die Stempel aus der ersten Kollektion!
Die Papiere sind von Basic Grey, das Ornament ein Stempel und Stanzer von Stampin´Up.
