Es gibt eine neue LawnFawnatics Challenge. Und da LawnFawn diesen Monat Geburtstag feiert, ist das Thema "all things birthday". Und auch wenn man es nicht auf den ersten Blick sieht - auch ich habe das Thema eingebaut.

There's a new LawnFawnatics Challenge. And since it's LawnFawn's birthday month, the theme for this challenge is "all things birthday". And even if you don't see it right away, I did include this theme into my card.

Auf der Vorderseite der Karte bin ich szene-mäßig mal wieder ein wenig eskaliert. Für mich ist diese Szene wie eine kleine Reise zurück in meine Kindheit. Wir sind früher oft mit meiner Mutter und meinem Bruder mit den Fahrrädern zu einem Erdbeerfeld einige Ortschaften weiter geradelt. Und wir Kinder haben es geliebt. Den Mäusen auf meiner Karte scheint es genauso zu gehen. 

Ich habe hier eine Slimline Card gemacht, um jede Menge Platz für meine Szene zu haben. Sie ist 10,5 cm hoch und 18 cm breit, also einen Tacken schmäler als man es vielleicht gewohnt ist. Aber irgendwie hat da eh jeder so seine eigenen Maße.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich weißen Cardstock mit Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass und Salty Ocean gewischt. Dann habe ich etwas Wasser darüber gespritzt.

On the front of the card I once again escalated a bit while creating my scene. To me this scene is like a trip back into my childhood. My mom, my brother and I often took the bikes to go to a strawberry patch a few villages away. And we kids loved it. It seems, like so do the mice.

I made a slimline card here to have plenty of room for my scene. It measures 10,5 x 18 cm, so it's a tad bit narrower than you might be used to it, but to me it seems like everyone uses whatever size works for a special idea.

For the sky I've inked up a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean. Then I spritzed some water onto it.

Auf der linken Hälfte der Karte strahlt die Sonne am Himmel, zwei kleine Wolken schweben auch am Himmel. Die sind aus dem Platform Pop-Up Add-On Stanzenset, aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. 

Mit einer der Stanzen aus dem Leafy Tree Backdrop Set habe ich aus grünem Cardstock den Hügel gestanzt, von unten her ein wenig mit Distress Ink Peeled Paint gewischt und dann gelbe und rote Metallic-Watercolor daraufgespritzt, damit es aussieht, als blühten viele Sommerblumen auf dem Hügel. 

Auf den Hügel habe ich zwei blühene Bäume aus dem Stempelset Tree Before 'n Afters aufgeklebt. Wie alle Motive auf der Karte, sind auch die mit Copics coloriert. 

Vor die Bäume habe ich mit 3D Tape eine Lage Gras komplett über die Karte geklebt, davor kam ein Streifen braunen Cardstocks. Auch auf den habe ich einige Spritzer bruner Metallic-Watercolor verteilt, um dem Boden etwas Struktur zu verleihen. 

Und dann geht schon die Erdbeerplantage los. Dafür habe ich die Erdbeerpflanzenreihe aus dem Stempelset Berry Special mehrfach abgestempelt, mit Copics coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Dann habe ich sie mit 3D Tape übereinander geklebt. Beim Colorieren habe ich zwischen die reifen roten Erdbeeren auch einige coloriert, die noch nicht reif sind.

Zwischen den Pflanzen befinden sich einige Mäuse. Für die Mäuse auf meiner Karte habe ich Motive aus verschiedenen Stempelsets verwendet: Berry Special, Dandy Day, Scootin' By und Bubbles of Joy. Die Maus mit der blauen Latzhose ist natürlich der Besitzer der Erdbeerplantage. Bei uns stand der früher immer auf dem Weg der Plantage und hat einem gewisse Reihen zugewiesen, um sicherzustellen, dass auch alle Reihen abgeerntet werden. Das war nicht nur für ihn praktisch - eine gerade abgeerntete Reihe konnte schon sehr frustrierend für die Pflücker sein.

Die Maus mit der dicken angebissenen Erdbeere erinnert mich an meinen Bruder. Der hatte immer eine kleine Dose mit Zucker in der Hosentasche. Die hat er dann herausgezogen, ein paar Erdbeeren hineingetunkt und abgebissen. Probieren war natürlich erlaubt!

On the left side of my card the sun is shining, there are also two tiny clouds floating in the sky. I've die cut those from white cardstock using dies from the Platform Pop-Up Add-On die set and then colored them with Copics.

I used one of the dies from the Leafy Tree Backdrop die set to cut the hill from green cardstock, shaded the bottom a bit with Distress Ink Peeled Paint and then spritzed some red and yellow metallic watercolor over it to make it look like a meadow full of colorful flowers.

Onto the hill I planted two flowering trees from the Tree Before 'n Afters stamp set. Like all the images on this card these are colored with Copics.

I used foam tape to glue a layer of die cut grass all across the card, then put a strip of brown cardstock on top. I spritzed some brown metallic watercolor onto this cardstock strip to add some texture to the ground. 

And then the strawberry patch starts. I've stamped the strawberry plants image from the Berry Special stamp set several times, colored the images with Copics and cut them out. Then I glued them on top of each other with dimensionals. When I colored the plants, I made sure to put some unripe strawberries in between the ripe ones.

Between the rows of plants I glued a few mice. For the mice on this card I combined images from different stamp sets: Berry Special, Dandy Day, Scootin' By and Bubbles of Joy. 

The mouse with the blue pants is of course the owner of this patch. At the patch we went to when I was a kid he was always standing on the path, showing you which row to pick in. This way he made sure all rows get picked, but also that there were plenty of ripe berries where you were picking. Nothing more discouraging than rows of plants with berries not yet ripe.

The mouse that took that bite out of that big strawberry reminds me of my brother. He always brought a little tin filled with sugar. He pulled it out of his pocket, dipped a few strawberries into the sugar and then ate those. Of course eating a few was never a problem!

 

Der Hintergrund auf der rechten Seite der Karte ist fast identisch zur linken Seite gestaltet. Es gibt hier nur einen Baum, und statt der Sonne fliegt ein kleiner Vogel am Himmel. Der hat sich auch gerade eine der süßen Erdbeeren geschnappt. Der Vogel ist aus dem Set Little Bundle, die etwas kleinere Erdbeere ist aus dem Set So Smooth. Mit der muss der arme Vogel nicht gar so schwer schleppen. 

Im Vordergrund sind weitere Erdbeeren gepflanzt. Und wieder sind einige Mäuse zwischen den Reihen unterwegs. 

Am Anfang der vordersten Reihe befindet sich ein "Zum Selbstpflücken" Schild, das ebenfalls mit Stempeln aus dem Set Berry Special gemacht ist.

The background on the right side of the card is pretty similar to the one on the left side. Here there's only one tree, and instead of the sun there's a little bird flying in the sky. He just picked himself a strawberry. The bird is from the Little Bundle stamp set, the slightly smaller strawberry from the So Smooth stamp set. Using the smaller one makes sure the little bird doesn't have to carry too much of a weight. 

In the foreground I planted more rows of strawberry plants, and again there are several mice in between those.

I added a "pick your own" sign to the beginning of the front row of plants, made also using stamps from the Berry Special stamp set.

Bei den meisten Erdbeerfeldern, die ich kenne, ist das Häuschen, in dem die gepflückten Erdbeeren gewogen und bezahlt werden, ein kleines rotes Plastikhäuschen in Form einer Erdbeere. Klar, dass das auf meiner Karte nicht fehlen durfte! Also habe ich die Stanzensets Inside Out Stitched Strawberry und Strawberry Frame verwendet, um ein erdbeerförmiges Kassenhäuschen zu gestalten. Die Stanzteile habe ich mit Copics schattiert, um das Fenster in die Erdbeere zu stanzen, habe ich die Strawberry Frame Stanze und Partial Die Cutting verwendet. 

Am Grün der Erdbeere habe ich ein "Erdbeerfeld" Schild, wieder mit Stempeln aus dem Set Berry Special gemacht, angebracht. 

Im Häuschen arbeitet eine Maus aus dem Set Scootin' By, neben  ihr steht eine Tasse aus dem Set Plan On It. Ob da Erdbeersaft drin ist?

Die kleine Maus vor dem Kassenhäuschen war besonders fleißig und hat gleich einen ganzen Wagen voller Erdbeeren gepflückt! Die zahlt sie gerade mit Geld aus dem Plan On It Vacation Stempelset, der Wagen ist aus dem Set Let's Go Nuts, den hat sie sich von den Eichhörnchen ausgeliehen. ;)

Most of the strawberry patches I know have a little strawberry shaped house as the place where they weight how much you've picked and where you pay for them. Of course I had to include one of those on my card! So I used the Inside Out Stitched Strawberry and the Strawberry Frame die sets to create a strawberry shaped house. I shaded the die cut pieces with Copics, to create the big window in the strawberry I did some partial die cutting using the Strawberry Frame die.

To the leaves on top of the strawberry I added a "berry patch" sign, again made with stamps from the Berry Special stamp set.

There's a little mouse from the Scootin' By stamp set working in the booth, there's a cup from the Plan On It stamp set standing next to her. If it's filled with strawberry juice?

The little mouse in front of the booth was extra brave and picked a full waggon full of strawberries! She's just paying for those with money from the Plan On It Vacation stamp set, the waggon is from the Let's Go Nuts stamp set. The squirrels were nice enough to lend it to the the mouse. ;)

Hier habe ich mal versucht, die verschiedenen Lagen der Karte besser zu zeigen.

Und wo bleibt jetzt das Geburtstagsthema? Kommt sofort!

And what about the birthday theme? Here it is!

Ich habe einfach keinen Platz für einen Text auf der Vorderseite der Karte gefunden. Also habe ich ihn ins Innere der Karte gepackt.

I just didn't find room on the outside of the card to add a text. So I simply put it on the inside.

Ich verschätze mich gerne bei der Menge von Motive, die ich für eine Karte brauche. Also hatte ich diese kleine Maus und auch einige Erdbeerpflanzenreihen übrig. Damit ich die nicht völlig umsonst gemacht habe - aufheben lohnt sich nicht, da sie bei mir einfach nie zum Einsatz kommen - habe ich im Inneren zumindest eine der Pflanzenreihen verwendet. Im Hintergrund habe ich etwas Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass aufgewischt, darauf kam dann die Maus und die Erdbeerreihe. Der Maus aus dem Set Merry Mice habe ich ein weiteres Schild in die Hand gegeben, auf das ich einen Teil des Textes gestempelt habe. Für das Berry habe ich einen  Teil eines Stempels aus dem Set How You Bean? Strawberry Add-On verwendet.

Den Rest des Textes, der ebenfalls aus dem Set Berry Special stammt, habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte direkt auf den Kartenrohling gestempelt.

Most times I stamp and color a few images too many when creating a card. So I had this little mouse and also a few strawberry plants left over. Since I never keep those - I just know I won't use them - I decided to add at least those two images to the inside of the card. I inked up a small area of the inside of the card with Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass, then glued the mouse and the plants on top of it. The mouse is from the set Merry Mice, I let her hold another sign onto that I've stamped part of the saying. I used part of one of the stamps from the How You Bean? Strawberry Add-On stamp set to stamp the word berry onto the sign. 

The rest of the text, again from the Berry Special stamp set, is stamped with black ink directly onto the card base.

Ich hatte es Euch ja versprochen - es gibt eine Karte mit dem Dino von Stampcorner, der auch wie Dino coloriert ist. Und tada - hier ist sie: diese Dinokarte zeige ich heute auf dem Stampcorner Blog.

I did promise you: I will share a card with the dino image by Stampcorner, that's colored as a dino should be. And voilà - here it is: I am sharing this dino card over at the Stampcorner Blog today.

 

 Na, wie findet Ihr sie?

Ich habe hier für den Hintergrund ein Stück hellgrünen Cardstock genommen und mit der Tropical Leaves Background Stencil von LawnFawn und Distress Oxide Bundled Sage ziemlich zart ein paar Blätter aufgewischt. Für die Linien auf den Blättern habe ich einen weißen Gelpen verwendet.

Da ich wegen des großen gestanzten Wortes auf der Karte den Hintergrund nicht matten konnte, mir aber irgendwie ein Rahmen fehlte, habe ich mit den zweit- und drittgrößten Stanzen aus dem Deckle Frames Stanzenset von Stampcorner diesen Rahmen aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und auf die Karte geklebt. Der hält das ganze Design zusammen, finde ich. 

What do you think?

For the background I've used a piece of light green cardstock and added some leaves to it, using the Tropical Leaves Background stencil by LawnFawn and Distress Oxide Bundled Sage. I made sure to not make the leaves too dark. To add the lines onto the leaves I used a white gel pen.

Due to the large die cut word I wanted to use I wasn't able to mat this background. But I felt it needed some kind of frame. So I used the second and third largest dies from the Deckle Frames die set by Stampcorner to die cut this frame from black cardstock. I glued it onto the background and really think it hold the whole design together.

Ich liebe das dicke Grinsen im Gesicht des Dinos! Ich habe hier den kompletten Rahmen um ihn herum weggeschnitten und nur das reine Motiv verwendet. Coloriert habe ich ihn mit Copics, dann habe ich einige kleine Punkte mit Finelinern in verschiedenen Grau- und Grüntönen auf Gesicht und Hals aufgetupft und weitere Details sowie Highlights mit einem weißen Gelpen hinzugefügt. Seht Ihr, wie schön die Zähne des Dinos blinken?

Für das Wort Oops habe ich die Oops Stanze von WhimsyStamps benutzt. Den Schatten habe ich aus schwarzem, die Buchstaben aus grauem Cardstock gestanzt. Ich wollte, dass die Buchstaben wie alter Stein aussehen, passend zum prähistorischen Dino. Also habe ich auch hier mit Finelinern und weißem Gelpen kleine Punkte aufgetupft, mit einem N4 Copic jeweils einen Schatten hinzugefügt und außerdem ein paar Risse von den Rändern her aufgemalt. 

Tja, der Dino war wohl etwas hungrig - er hat den oberen Teil des P abgebissen. Zum Runterschlucken kam er nicht mehr, deswegen liegt es am unteren Rand des Wortes. Ich habe diesen Teil einfach mit einer Schere abgeschnitten. 

Hinter dem Dino befinden sich noch ein paar weitere Blätter. Dafür habe ich die Magic Iris Tropical Leaves Add-On Stanze von LawnFawn benutzt und die Blätter aus einem dunkleren Grünton an Cardstock ausgestanzt. Da mir der Kontrast immer noch nicht hoch genug war, habe ich sie noch mit Distress Oxide Rustic Wilderness von der Mitte her eingefärbt. 

Blätter und Dino sind direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt, für das Wort Oops habe ich dickes 3D Tape benutzt. 

Über dem Dino habe ich mit dünnerem 3D Tape noch eine Sprechblase mit einem Hi darin aufgeklebt. Die ist mit einer der Stanzen aus dem Slim Comic Strips Stanzenset von MamaElephant aus grauem Cardstock gestanzt. Ich habe sie wieder mit einem Steinmuster versehen, schwarz gemattet und die ausgestanzten Buchstaben durch aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzte ersetzt.

I love the big smile on the dino's face! I cut away the frame around the image and only used the dino itself. I colored him with Copics, then added small dots to his face and neck, made with different shades of grey and green fineliners, and some more dots and a few highlights with a white gel pen. Can you see the shine of the dino's teeth?

For the word Oops I used the Oops die by WhimsyStamps. The shadow layer is cut from black cardstock, the letters from grey cardstock. I wanted the letters to look like old stone letters, matching the prehistoric dino. So again I used some fineliners and a white gel pen to add the stone pattern by putting down lots of small dots. I also added a shadow with a N4 Copic marker and a few cracks to the edges. 

Well, seems like the dino was a bit hungry - he bit off the top part of the letter P. He didn't get to swallow it, and so this piece is laying at the bottom of the die cut word. I simply cut away this piece of the letter with my scissors.

Behind the dino there are a few more leaves. I used the Magical Iris Tropical Leaves Add-On die by LawnFawn to die cut it from a darker shade of green cardsdtock. There still wasn't enough contrast for my taste, so I inked the circle of leaves with Distress Oxide Rustic Wilderness, making it the darkest in the center and getting lighter towards the edge.

I glued the leaves and the dino directly onto the background, to glue down the word Oops I used some thick foam tape.

Over the dino's head I added a speech bubble with the word hi in it, glueing it down with thinner foam tape. I used one of the dies from the Slim Comic Strips die set by MamaElephant to cut this speech bubble from grey cardstock. Again I added a stone pattern to it, matted it black and replaced the cut out letters with some cut from black cardstock.

Die Texte auf der Karte sind ebenfalls aus dem Set mit dem Dino.

Beide Texte sind mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und mit dem dünneren 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

Ich konnte einfach nicht anders, als diesen Text hier zu verwenden. Der Dino schaut so unschuldig-fröhlich, dabei liegen die Beweise doch direkt vor unseren Augen. Das hat er wohl selbst eingesehen und deswegen ein leises "vielleicht" hinter das "ich wars nicht" geschoben... Das Wort ist Teil eines der Texte aus dem Set, den Rest drumherum habe ich beim Stempeln einfach abgedeckt. Und schon hat man eine "Es tut mir leid"-Karte. Das kann man dann ja ins Innere der Karte stempeln.

Als Deko habe ich noch ein paar kleine grüne Pailetten auf die Karte geklebt.

Both texts are white heat embossed onto black cardstock, cut out and glued onto the background with the thinner foam tape again.

I just couldn't resist to add this text to my card. It means "I didn't do it!" and "Maybe". The dino has such a happy, innocent expression on his face - but the proof is right in front of our eyes. Seems like he realized that as well. And so he added a little "maybe" to his "I didn't do it". Well, an so this turned into an "I'm sorry" card. I will just stamp this text on the inside of the card since there isn't any space left for it on the front.

As decoration I glued down a few small green sequins onto my card.

Create a Smile Sketch Challenge

Heute startet wieder eine neue Challenge bei Create a Smile - und nach dem Moodboard letztes Mal haben wir wieder einen Sketch für Euch.

Hello everyone!

Today we are starting a new Create a Smile Challenge - and after the moodboard last time we're having another sketch for you for this challenge.

Wie immer lässt Euch der Sketch jede Menge Raum für Ideen und Interpretationen. Meine Karte, die ich nach dem Sketch gemacht habe, sieht so aus:

As usual the sketch leaves you lots of room for ideas and interpretations. The card I made after this sketch looks like this:

Ich habe hier ein Stück hellblauen Cardstocks ein wenig kleiner als meinen  Kartenrohling zugeschnitten und darauf mit weißem Embossingpulver mit dem Cloudy Day Stempel die tollen Wolken aufembosst. 

Farblich zu den Motiven meiner Karte passend habe ich die schräg über den Sketch laufenden Streifen aus Cardstock in drei veschiedenen Gelbtönen geschnitten und aufgeklebt. Aus dem dunkelsten dieser Gelbtöne habe ich dann mit der zweitgrößten der Stitched Rectangle Frames Stanzen einen Rahmen gestanzt. Eigentlich sind es drei, die ich erst aufeinander und dann auf den Wolkenhintergrund geklebt habe.

I've cut a piece of light blue cardstock slightly smaller than the size of my note card and then used the Cloudy Day stamp to stamp and white heat emboss the clouds onto it.

Matching the colors of the images on my card I used three different tones of yellow cardstock to cut the strips that run across the sketch. From the darkest tone of these yellows I've die cut the second largest of the Stitched Rectangle Frames dies to die cut a frame. Actually I've die cut three of them, stacked them on top of each other and thenglued them onto the cloud background.

Die süße, dicke Biene ist aus dem Stempelset Dicke Freunde. Ich habe sie mit Copics coloriert und dann die Haare auf dem Körper mit Polychromos hinzugefügt. Ja, ich weiß, meine Biene sieht ein wenig aus wie eine Hummel, aber das liegt nur daran, dass sie noch ihren Wintermantel trägt!

Das Gänseblümchen ist aus dem Set Heute wird gut und mit Copics coloriert. 

Ich habe beide Motive ausgeschnitten und ein paar Highlights mit einem weißen Gelstift hinzugefügt.

Als Rahmen für die Motive habe ich mit einer der Stitched Circle Frames Stanzen den gefüllten Kreis aus hellblauem, den Rahmen aus etwas dunkler blauem Cardstock gestanzt und diese über die gelben Streifen geklebt. Auf den Kreis, aber unter den Rahmen habe ich dann zwei kleine Wolken, gemacht mit einer Stanze aus dem Weather Stanzenset, aufgeklebt. Eine dritte Wolke schwebt über der Biene auf dem Wolkenhintergrund.

Der Text Hallöchen ist aus dem Set Winterkind. Ich habe ihn mit brauner Tinte auf den untersten gelben Streifen gestempelt. Links neben der Biene war noch Platz für zwei Summ, ebenfalls mit brauner Tinte gestempelt.

Ganz zum Schluss habe ich als Deko ein paar goldene Pailetten auf der Karte verteilt. Ich kann halt einfach nicht ohne....

The cute bee is from the Best Bugs stamp set. I colored it with Copics and then added the fine hair to its body with Polychromos. I know, my bee looks a bit like a bumblebee, but that's only because it's still wearing its winter coat!

The flower is from the stamp set Good Day and colored with Copics.

I've cut out both images and added a few highlights with a white gel pen. 

As a frame for the images I've used one of the Stitched Circle Frames dies to die cut the full circle from light blue, the frame from a bit darker blue cardstock and then glued these on top of the yellow stripes. Onto the full circle, but under the frame I've put two small clouds, made using a dies from the Weather die set. A third bloud is floating above the bee in the sky.

The text means "hello" and is stamped onto the darkest of the yellow stripes, using brown ink. There was room for two "bzzzz" on the left of the bee, those were stamped with brown ink as well.

In the end I added a few golden sequins to my card. I know, I just can't do without....

One set, two cards

Vor kurzem sind das Stempelset Darling Dahlias von PinkFresh sowie die passenden Stencil bei mir eingezogen. Die wollte ich verwenden - und war zwischen zwei Ideen hin- und hergerissen. Also habe ich kurzerhand beide Ideen umgesetzt. Und beide Karten sind, trotz fast identischer Produkte, absolut unterschiedlich ausgefallen.

A little ago the stamp set Darling Dahlias and the matching stencils made it into my stamp stash and I wanted to use them. I was torn between two ideas. So I decided to do both. And both cards turned out completly different, despite the fact that I used nearly the same products on them.

 

Um die Blumen zu wischen habe ich Distress Ink Spiced Marmelade, Crackling Campfire und Fired Brick benutzt, die Blätter sind mit Evergreen Bough und Pine Needles gewischt. Und für die Räume zwischen den Motiven habe ich Salvaged Patina benutzt.

 

To ink the flowers I used Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade, Crackling Campfire and Fired Brick, for the leaves I went with Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles.  And the spaces between the images are inked with Salvaged Patina.

Das hier ist Karte Nr. 1 - sie ist definitiv die zartere von beiden. Hier habe ich den passenden Stempel nicht benutzt, dafür habe ich eine Technik von Jennifer McGuire ausprobiert: Letterpress Stenciling. Dabei wird die Stencil mit Farbe überzogen, anschließend wird der Stencil mit Cardstock und einer Prägematte durch die Stanzmaschine gekurbelt. Auf diese Weise überträgt sich die Farbe auf den Cardstock, gleichzeitig werden die großen Blumen geprägt. Äh, natürlich nur, wenn man die richtige Stencil benutzt. Ich hatte einen Denkfehler und habe für diesen Schritt zuerst die Stencil verwendet, die zum Wischen der Zwischenräume benutzt wird. Dabei sollten doch die Blumen erhaben sein. Also habe ich den Schritt mit der richtigen Stencil, der zum Einfärbender kompletten Blüten verwendet wird, wiederholt. 

Anschließend habe ich mit den bereits erwähnten Farben und den jeweiligen Stencils den kompletten Hintergrund gewischt und ein wenig perlmuttfarbene Metallic Watercolor darübergespritzt. 

 

This is card #1 - it's definately the softer, more delicate looking one of the two. I didn't use the outline stamp here, instead I tried a technique by Jennifer McGuire: Letterpress Stenciling. You ink up a stencil, then run it and the cardstock through your die cutting machine using a silicone mat. This way the ink gets transferred to the cardstock, but at the same time the flowers get embossed from the paper. Well, of course only if you use the right stencil from the set. First I had a twist in my thinking and used the stencil, that's used to ink the areas between the flowers. Of course I ended up with those areas being raised instead of the flowers. So I did it again, this time using the right stencil you use to ink up the full flowers. 

Then I used the stencils and the already mentioned colors to ink up the complete background, then spritzed some pearl metallic watercolor over it.

Ich fand, ein dunkler, auffälliger Text hätte den zarten Look des Hintergrundes zerstört. Deswegen habe ich direkt aus dem Blumenhintergrund erst die Buchstaben für den Text Lots of Love ausgestanzt, dann habe ich den Hintergrund schwarz gemattet. 

Die Schattenlage für den Text habe ich aus Vellum gestanzt. Ich habe hier die Lots of Love Stanze von PinkFresh benutzt. Ich habe die Buchstaben auf das Vellum geklebt, anschließend habe ich hinter die Buchstaben 3D Tape gesetzt und den Text wieder an seinen Platz im Hintergrund zurückgeklebt. Es ist also eine Art Eclipse Technik, nur mit einer Lage Vellum um die Buchstaben herum. Das erhöht den Kontrast ein wenig.

Für den Rest des Textes habe ich Stempel aus dem Set Itty Bitty Love von MFT mit roter Tinte auf Streifen aus weißem Cardstock gestempelt und die dann ebenfalls mit 3D Tape neben bzw. unter dem ausgestanzten Text aufgeklebt.

I thought, a dark text would have been too hard and destroy the soft look of the background. So I've die cut the letters for the words lots of love from the flower background, then matted the background with black cardstock.

The shadow layer for the text is die cut from vellum. I used the Lots of Love dies by PinkFresh here. I glued the letters onto the vellum, then put some dimensionals behind the letters and glued them back into their place in the background pattern. So I did some kind of Eclipse technique, just puttine a layer of vellum around the letters to get a bit more of a contrast. 

For the rest of the text I used stamps from the Itty Bitty Love stamp set by MFT and staped them with red ink onto strips of white cardstock. I glued those next to and under the die cut text, again using dimensionals.

Als Deko hab ich dann nur noch ein paar rostfarbene sowie kleinere, durchsichtig orangefarbene Pailetten aufgeklebt.

As decoration I added a few rust colored and some smaller, translucent orange colored pailetten onto the card.

Und das hier ist Karte Nr. 2. Auch hier habe ich den Hintergrund mit den oben erwähnten Distress Ink Farben gewischt, diesmal habe ich allerdings zuvor die Outlines mit dem Darling Dahlias Stempel auf den Cardstock gestempelt. Schon wirken die Blumen viel detailreicher, aber auch um einiges dunkler. Auch über diesen Hintergrund habe ich die perlmuttfarbene Metallic Watercolor gespritzt.

And this is card #2. Also here I inked up the flowers and background with the Distress Ink colors mentioned above, but this time I had staped the outlines with the Darling Dahlias stamp before. The flowers look much more detailed, but also kind of darker by just adding the stamped lines. Again I spritzed some pearl metallic watercolor over the background.

Ich fand, durch den dunkleren Hintergrund brauchte diese Karte auch einen auffälligeren Text. Also habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstock mit Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade, Crackling Campfire und Fired Brick gewischt und daraus mit einer der Stanzen aus dem Set Shadow Script #2 von Sizzix das Wort Smile ausgestanzt. Die Schattenlage habe ich viermal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, aufeinander geklebt und obenauf das aus dem gewischten Cardstock gestanzte Wort geklebt.

Die beiden kleinen Texte sind aus dem Set Itty Bitty Celebrations von MFT, diesmal mit schwarzer Tinte auf helltürkisfarbenen Cardstock gestempelt. Ich habe die Streifen mit den Texten schwarz gemattet und wieder mit 3D Tape über und unter dem Text auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

I thought, due to the darker looking background this card also needed a more prominent text. So I inked up a piece of white cardstock with Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade, Crackling Campfire and Fired Brick and then die cut the word smile from the Shadow Script #2 die set by Sizzix from it. I've cut the shadow layer four times from black cardstock, stacked those on top of each other and then glued the word cut from the inked up cardstock on top.

The two smaller texts are from the Itty Bitty Celebrations stamp set by MFT. This time I stamped those with black ink onto strips of light turquoise cardstock. I matted these strips black and then used dimensionals to glue those strips above and under the die cut word.

Auf dieser Karte habe ich ein paar holografisch-silberne Pailettenum den Text herum verteilt. 

Auch hier habe ich den bestempelten/gewischten Cardstock samt Deko schwarz gemattet.

Und, welche Variante gefällt Euch besser? Ich mag sie beide....

On this card I added a few holographic silver sequins around the text. 

Also here I matted the stamped on and inked up cardstock with black cardstock.

So, which one do you like better? I like both of them...

LawnFawnatics Challenge #119 - die Zweite

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Eigentlich war der Plan fürs Wochenende, endlich die im letzten Herbst nicht runtergeschnittenen Pflanzen im Garten zu entfernen. Eigentlich. Denn es weht ein eiskalter Wind, und da ich sowieso mit einer Erkältung kämpfe, habe ich mich entschieden, das auf nächste Woche zu verschieben, wo es viel wärmer und sonniger werden soll. Das hat mir dann ein paar unerwartete Bastelstunden beschert. Und die habe ich genutzt, um einige meiner frisch angekommenen Stempel und Stanzen aus dem neusten LawnFawn Release einzuweihen und damit eine weitere Karte für die aktuelle LawnFawnatics Challenge zu machen. Dort gibt es einen Sketch.

Hello everyone!

The original plan für the weekend was, to finally cut down all the flowers in the garden, that didn't get cropped last fall. Originally. It's very cold with an incy wind outside, and since I'm already fighting a cold I decided, to move that task into the next week, when the weather is supposed a lot warmer and sunnier. So, that left me with a few unexpected hours in my craft room. And I used these to bring a few of the dies and stamps from the reced LawnFawn release to a use and make another card for the current LawnFawnatics Challenge. The theme is a sketch. 

Schon als ich das Strawberry Patch Stanzenset das erste Mal sah, wusste ich, dass ich damit Schoko-Erdbeeren machen möchte. Und die passten doch super auf den Sketch. 

Als Hintergrund habe ich hellrosafarbenen Cardstock gewählt und längs ein Stück Designpapier aus dem ebenfalls neuen Flower Market Paper Pad aufgeklebt. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe darauf gespritzt. 

The moment I saw the Strawberry Patch die set for the first time, I knew, I wanted to turn those into chocolat covered strawberries. And I think those fit the current sketch wonderfully.

For the background I used a piece of light pink cardstock and glued a  strip of patterned paper from the also new Flower Market Paper Pad onto it. Then I spritzed some white acrylic paint over it.

Die Teile der Erdbeeren habe ich aus rotem und grünem Cardstock gestanzt, anschließend habe ich sie mit Copic schattiert. Von hinten habe ich ganz hellgelben Cardstock gegen die Erdbeeren geklebt, so dass die Samen zu sehen sind. 

Für die Schokoladenschicht habe ich die Erdbeeren, die zum Hinterlegen gedacht sind, aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, eine Schokolinie per Hand mit Bleistift aufgemalt und anschließend ebenfalls mit Copics dunkelbraun coloriert. Dann habe ich sie entlang der Bleistiftlinie ausgeschnitten und auf die Erdbeeren geklebt. Damit sie schön lecker glänzt, habe ich die "Schokolade" dann noch mit Glossy Accents überzogen. 

Nach dem Trocknen habe ich die Erdbeeren mit zwei unterschiedlich dicken 3D Tapes auf den Designpapierstreifen geklebt.

Für den Text habe ich aus einem pinkfarbenen Bogen des Watercolor Wishes Rainbow Paper Pads mit den neuen Henry's ABC Stanzen die Buchstaben für das Wort sweet ausgestanzt. Außerdem habe ich sie auch noch einmal aus cremefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt. Die rosafarbenen Buchstaben habe ich von unten her ein wenig mit Distress Oxide Aged Mahogany eingefärbt und dann die cremefarbenen Buchstaben als Schatten dahinter geklebt. Auch hier habe ich 3D Tape verwendet, um die Buchstaben auf die Karte zu kleben.

Vervollständigt habe ich den Text dann mit zwei Stempeln aus dem Set How You Bean? Strawberry Add-On. Die habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver auf grünes Designpapier, ebenfalls aus dem Watercolor Wishes Rainbow Paper Pad, aufembosst, ausgeschnitten, cremefarben hinterlegt und über bzw. hinter dem Wort sweet auf die Karte geklebt.

Zum Schluss habe ich als Deko noch einige grüne Perlen auf der Karte verteilt.

I've die cut the strawberry pieces from red and green cardstock, then shaded them with Copics. Behind the strawberries I glued some light yellow cardstock so the seeds appear cream.

For the chocolat cover I've die cut the solid strawberries from the set, that are used to cut the seeds layer, from white cardstock. I hand-drew a chocolat line onto those, then colored them in a dark brown with my Copics. I cut the chocolat layer out along the drewn lines, then glued them onto the strawberries. To give the "chocolat" a yummy shine I covered those with Glossy Accents.

After they had dried I used foam tape in two different thicknesses to glue the strawberries onto the strip of patterned paper.

For the text I've die cut the letters for the word sweet from a sheet of pink cardstock from the Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper pad using the new Henry's ABC die set. I also cut them again from cream colored cardstock. I used Distress Oxide Aged Mahogany to darken the bottom of the pink letters, then glued them on top of the cream colored letters, moving them a bit to the bottom and left to end up with a cream shadow around the letters. Again I used foam tape to glue the letters across the card.

I completed the text with two stamps from the How You Bean? Strawberry Add-On stamp set. I white heat embossed those onto some green patterned paper, again from the Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper pad, then cut them out, matted them with cream cardstock and glued them above and behind the word sweet.

In the end I added a few green pearls to the card for decorations.

LawnFawnatics Challenge #119

Noch bis Sonntag läuft die aktuelle LawnFawnatics Challenge - diesmal ist es ein Sketch. Ich hatte eigentlich geplant, Stempel aus dem neuen Release für meine Karte zu verwenden. Die kommen aber erst heute oder Samstag  bei mir an. Da mein Mann Anfang nächster Woche Geburtstag hat und ich noch einige vorzubereiten habe, habe ich einige freie Stunden gestern genutzt und stattdessen diese Karte gemacht.

The current LawnFawnatics Challenge is open until sunday - this time it's a sketch. I originally had planned to use some stamps from the new release for my entry. But those won't arrive until today or saturday. My husband's birthday will be here beginning of next week and I still have some things to prepare for it. So I used a few free hours yesterday to make this card instead.

Ich denke, zur Bedeutung der von mir gewählten Farben und Motive brauche ich nicht viel erklären, jeder dürfte inzwischen mitbekommen haben, dass die Sonnenblume das Staatssymbol der Ukraine ist, und auch, dass gelb und blau die Farben deren Flaggen sind. Und sicher habt Ihr auch schon viele der "CardsForUkraine" gesehen, die viele posten, um Ihre Unterstützung zu zeigen und Stellung zu beziehen. 

Ich habe dunkelblauen Cardstock für meine Kartenbasis gewählt und sie senkrecht so maskiert, dass ein Streifen etwas rechts von der Mitte frei blieb. Den habe ich dann mit goldener Metallic-Watercolor bespritzt.

Nach dem Trocknen habe ich aus dem blauen Cardstock ein Rechteck geschnitten, das mit matt-goldenem Metallik-Cardstock gemattet und auf den übrigen blauen Cardstock geklebt.

I think, I don't have to say much about the meaning of the colors and images I've chosen. Everyone should know by now, that the sunflower is the flower of the Ukraine, and blue and yellow are the colors of its flag. And I'm sure you all have seen the cards so many are posting with the hashtag cardsforukraine at the moment, to show their support.

I've chosen some dark blue cardstock for the base of my card. I masked off the left and right side of the cardstock, leaving a strip a bit off to the right from the center free. Then I spritzed some golden metallic watercolors onto it.

After the color had dried I've cut a rectangle from the blue cardstock, matted it with matte golden metallic cardstock and glued it back onto the rest of the blue piece.

Die Sonnenblumen sind aus den Sets Happy Harvest und Our Friendships Grows. Ich habe sie mit No-Line Ink auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und dann mit Copics und Polychromos in der No-Line-Technik coloriert. Mit einem weißen Gelstift habe ich ein paar Highlights und feine weiße Linien hinzugefügt. 

Ich habe die Sonnenblumen per Hand ausgeschnitten und mit dünnem 3D Tape auf die Karte aufgeklebt. Dazwischen habe ich Herzen aus mittelblauem Cardstock verteilt. Die habe ich mit der Hearts and Stars Skinny Tag Stanze gestanzt - weil die stanzt auf einmal gleich mehrere Herzen in verschiedenen Größen. 

The sunflowers are from the sets Happy Harvest and Our Friendship Grows. I stamped them with No-Line ink onto white cardstock, then colored them with Coipcs and Polychromos doing the no-line technique. With a white gel pen I added a few highlights and fine white lines.

I've fuzzy cut the sunflowers and glued them onto the card with thin foam tape. Inbetween them I placed hearts, die cut from middle blue cardstock. I used the Hearts and Stars Skinny Tag die to cut them, because it cuts several hearts in different sizes with just one run through the die cut machine.

Für den Text habe ich Stempel aus dem Set Scripty Bubble Sentiments verwendet.

Das Wort love ist wieder mit No-Line Ink gestempelt und mit Copics blau im Ombre-Look coloriert. Dann habe ich es per Hand ausgeschnitten und mit dickerem 3D Tape über die Karte geklebt.

Das Wort sending habe ich mit goldenem Embossingpulver auf ein Stück weißen Cardstock embosst, den ich zuvor ebenfalls mit Copics hellblau angemalt habe. Die Farbe war noch nicht ganz trocken, deswegen ist das G etwas unsauber ausgefallen... Auch diesen Text habe ich mit dickerem 3D Tape über das Wort love aufgeklebt.

Zum Schluss habe ich als Deko noch einige gelbe Perlen auf der Karte verteilt.

For the text I used stamps from the Scripty Bubble Sentiments.

The word love is again stamped with No-Line Ink and colored blue in an ombre look. Then I fuzzy cut it and glued it across the card using thicker foam tape.

The word sending is golden heat embossed onto a piece of white cardstock, that I had colored with my Copics in a light blue. The ink wasn't completly dry when I did the embossing so the G turned out a bit blurry... Also this text is glued onto above the word love with thicker foam tape.

In the end I added some yellow pearls as decoartion to my card.

Der März-Release von Stampcorner kam pünktlich zum 01.03. in den Shop - und das heißt, es gibt neue Stempel zu zeigen! Und eines der Motive habe ich auf dieser Karte verwendet, die ich heute auf dem Stampcorner Blog zeige.

Stampcorner's march relase made it's appearance in the shop on the 1st of march - and that means, there are new stamps! And I used one of these new images on this card, that I'm sharing on the Stampcorner Blog today.

 

Hier muss ich ein wenig ausholen. Der Hintergrund war eigentlich für die Karte von letzter Woche gedacht - aber das rot war mir zu krass. Also habe ich es abgedunkelt und wollte eine andere Karte damit machen. Deswegen habe ich die Herzen in rosa auffoliert. Aber erst beim Folieren habe ich bemerkt, dass die Folie fast transparent ist, und so die Herzen nur ganz leicht zu sehen sind. Ihre Größe machte das nicht besser. Also blieb er wieder liegen. Und dann kam mir die Idee zu dieser Karte, und da passte er perfekt. Nun könnte ich behaupten, dass der Dino in grau coloriert ist, weil er so perfekt in mein Farbschema passte. Aber ich bin ehrlich zu Euch - ich dachte, es wäre ein Esel! Erst beim Colorieren ist mir dann aufgefallen, dass der "Esel" ja gar keine Ohren hat. Und da fiel es mir wie Schuppen von den Augen: das ist ein Dino! Aber da war er schon grau. Zum Glück gab es die ja in allen Farben - und wie sie wirklich aussahen, weiß auch keiner zu 100 Prozent. Deswegen darf er auch mal grau sein. Aber ich verspreche - ich mache es wieder gut und zeige ihn Euch demnächst in einer mehr dino-mäßige Coloration!

 

I have to explain a few things. This background was made for the card I shared a week ago - but the red was way too intense. So I darkened it up and wanted to use it on a different card. So I foiled the hearts onto it with a soft pink foil. Only during the foiling I realized that this foil is kind of translucent and the hearts are only slightly visible. Well, their size didn't help there either. So again this background was left unused. And then I had the idea for this card. 

Well, I could say this dinosaur is colored in greys because it fit my color scheme perfectly. But to be honest with you - I thought it was  a donkey! When coloring I realized this "donkey" doesn't have any ears. And that's when I found out that this is a dinosaur! But I had already colored it grey by then. Luckily those dinosaurs came in all colors - and no one can tell 100 percent sure, which colors they really were. So this is a grey spezies. But I promise to make up for that and will share this image in a more dino-style coloring!

 

 Nun aber mal mehr zur Karte:

Für den Hintergrund habe ich weißen Cardstock mit Distress Ink Candied Apple, Aged Mahogany und Black Soot gewischt - in der Mitte ist die Farbe am hellsten. Dann habe ich, wie schon erwähnt, die Herzen mit der Heart Grid Plate von Pinkfresh auffoliert. 

But now more about how I made this card:

For the background I've inked up a piece of white cardstock with Distress Ink Candied Apple, Aged Mahogany and Black Soot - the color is the lightest in the center. Then, as mentioned, I foiled the hearts onto it using the Heart Grid Plate by Pinkfresh.

Ich finde das Motiv klasse - egal ob grau oder in anderen Farben! 

Ich habe ihn hier mit Copics coloriert und den Bereich um die Schnauze fleischfarben gehalten. Dann habe ich das Motiv ausgeschnitten und auch die weißen Bereiche innerhalb des Rahmens mit weggeschnitten. 

Das Wort WOW ist ebenfalls aus dem neuen Stempelset von Oma Plott. Ich habe es auf eine der Comic Speech Blubbles von WhimsyStamps gestempelt und die Sprechblase dann mit schwarzem Cardstock gemattet. 

Der Hintergrund für das Motiv ist mit einer GelliPlate gemacht. Dafür habe ich Distress Oxide Victorian Velvet und Candied Apple auf die GelliPlate aufgetragen, mit einem Brayer vermischt, etwas Wasser darüber gespritzt und dann ein Stück weißen Cardstock darauf gepresst. Das könnt Ihr natürlich auch auf einer Media Mat machen und den Cardstock anschließend zurecht schneiden. Ich habe mich an den Rändern des GelliPlate Abdrucks orientiert, deswegen sind meine Ränder auch nicht absolut gerade. Anschließend habe ich auch diesen Cardstock schwarz gemattet und die Motive mit 3D Tape darauf geklebt.

Um etwas mehr Kontrast zwischen dem Aufleger und dem Hintergrund zu gestalten. habe ich die Comic Burst Stanze von WhimsyStamps aus Vellum gestanzt und hier den inneren Teil des Ausschnittes verwendet. Diesen habe ich auf den Hintergrund und darauf dann - wieder mit 3D Tape - das Rechteck mit den Motiven aufgeklebt.

I love this image - no matter if it's a dino or a donkey!

I colored it in with Copics and kept the area around the mouth in a flesh color. Then I cut the image out and also cut away the white areas within the frame.

The word WOW is also from this new stamp set by Oma Plott. I stamped it onto one of the speech bubbles from the Comic Speech Bubbles die set by WhimsyStamps and then matted it with some black cardstock.

The background behind the image is made with a GelliPlate. I dabbed my Distress Oxide ink pads Victorian Velvet and Candied Apple onto the GelliPlate, mixed the colors a bit with a brayer, lightly misted it with water and then pressed some white cardstock onto it. Of course you can get a similar look by using a Media Mat and cutting the cardstock later. When cutting my background out I used the edges of the GelliPlate print as a guideline, that's why the edges aren't completly straight. Then I matted this piece black as well and glued the images on top with foam tape.

To add some more contrast between the background and the piece with the images I've die cut the Comic Burst die by WhimsyStamps from vellum and then used the inner piece of the cut out window. I glued this onto the card background and then - again with foam tape - the piece with the image on top of it.

Unten auf der Karte habe ich weiteren Text aufgebracht. 

Das "du machst mich sprachlos" ist eigentlich ein Text, der zweizeilig unter dem WOW gestempelt wird. Ich habe diesen Teil getrennt auf hellrot eingefärbten Cardstock - ein Überbleibsel beim Werkeln des Hintergrundes für das Motiv - gestempelt, die beiden Teile auseinander geschnitten und schwarz gemattet. Dann habe ich sie unten am Aufleger mit dem Motiv befestigt. 

Das Wort Glückwunsch ist aus dem Set Träume. Ich habe es einfach mit schwarzer Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt, ausgeschnitten und mit 3D Tape ganz unten auf die Karte geklebt.

I added more text to the bottom of the card.

The first words mean "you leave me speechless". I stamped it onto light red colored cardstock - a little leftover from when I made the GelliPlate background for the image -, cut the words apart, matted them black and glued them onto the layer with the image.

The word at the bottom means "congratulations". I satmped it with black ink onto white cardstock, cut it out and glued it close to the bottom edge, again using foam tape.

Rund um den Dino habe ich noch ein paar Herzen geklebt - gemacht mit dem Stanzenset Hearts and Stars Skinny Tag von LawnFawn. Außerdem habe ich ein paar schwarze Pailetten als Deko   aufgeklebt.

Ganz zum Schluss habe ich noch mit einem weißen Gelpen einen Rahmen auf den roten Cardstock gemalt, alles schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Around the dino I added a few red hearts - die cut with the Hearts and Stars Skinny Tag die set by LawnFawn. I also glued down a few black sequins as embellishments.

In the end I hand drew a frame onto the red cardstock using a white gelpen, matted everything black and glued it onto a white note card.

Blumige Geburstagsgrüße

Der März ist da! Das bedeutet, zumindest meteorologisch hat der Frühling angefangen. Und somit fühlt es sich nicht mehr gar so "falsch" an, Karten mit Blumen zu posten. Zum Glück! Denn sonst hätte ich Euch diese Geburtstagskarte heute vielleicht gar nicht  gezeigt.

Hello everyone!

March is here! That means, at least meteorologically, that spring is here. And so it doesn't feel so "wrong" anymore to post cards with flowers. How great, because otherwise I might not have shared this birthday card with you today!

Neben Blumen liebe ich momentan meine GoPress HotFoil Maschine absolut. Hier kam beides zum Einsatz. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich die Splatter Hotfoil Plate von Altenew mit leicht matter Goldfolie auf schwarzen Cardstock foliert. Den habe ich dann etwas kleiner als einen normalen Kartenrohling zugeschnitten, damit ich ihn später noch matten kann.

Besides flowers I am also totally in love with my GoPress HotFoil machine lately. Here I used both.

For the background I foiled the Splatter Hotfoil plate by Altenew onto some black cardstock, using a slightly mat golden foil. Then I cut the cardstdock smaller than a german standard card size so I could mat this panel later.

Die tollen Blumen und Blätter sind aus dem Stempelset Gilded Rose von Altenew. Es ist ein Layering Stempelset, man braucht sich also keinerlei Gedanken beim "Colorieren" machen. Dafür kam eine Mischung blauer, grüner und gelber Stempelkissen von SU und MFT zum Einsatz. Bei den blau gestempelten Motiven habe ich als dunkelste Farbe sogar einen Lilaton eingebaut. Zum Schluss habe ich die Motive mit den passenden Stanzen ausgeschnitten.

Ich habe die beiden Blumen sowie die Blätter auf dem Hintergrund angeordnet und die über den Rand des schwarzen Cardstocks überstehenden Motivteile weggeschnitten. Dann habe ich alles auf die Karte geklebt, die Blumen sind mit dünnem und dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt, so dass sich verschiedene Ebenen auf der Karte ergeben.

Der Schmetterling is ebenfalls von Altenew - diesmal aus dem Stempelset Dream Big. Ich habe ihn mit denselben blauen (und lilafarbenem) Stempelkissen gestempelt und den Körper nochmal extra mit einem schwarzen Kissen darübergestempelt. Ich wollte keine schwarzen Linien an den Flügeln, in blau gestempelt finde ich ihn viel feiner.

Der Text ist mit einer der HotFoil Plates aus dem Set Exquisite Sentiments von Couture Creations gemacht. Die foliert den Text und schneidet ihn gleichzeitig aus. Ich weiß nicht, ob ich zu viel Cardstock mit in der Maschine hatte - die empfohlene Metall-Adapterplatte habe ich benutzt -, oder ob es daran liegt, dass der Druck beim Schneiden höher ist. Aber rund um den Schneidrand hatte ich leider ebenfalls viele folierte Bereiche. Die konnte ich zwar mit einem Cutter und einem Sand Eraser wegmachen, nervig fand ich es aber doch. Das muss ich nochmal testen!

Ich habe den Text mit 3D Tape auf die Blumen geklebt.

The great flowers and leaves are from the Gilded Rose stamp set by Altenew. It's a layering set, so you don't have to worry about how to color the image. I used a mix of blue, green and yellow ink pads by SU and MFT here. I even added a shade of lilac as the darkest tone on the blue images. Then I cut out all the images with the matching dies.

I arranged the flowers and leaves on my background and cut away the parts than hung over the edge. Then I glued everything down - for the flowers I used thin and thick foam tape to get different levels on my card.

The butterfly is also by Altenew - this time from the Dream Big stamp set. I stamped it with the same blue (and lilac) ink pads and then stamped the body again with black ink. I didn't want the wings to have any black since they look so much more delicate stamped in blue.

The text ist made using a hotfoil plate from the Exquisite Sentiments by Couture Creations. These foil the text and also cut it out at the same time. I have no idea if I added to many cardstock shims - I used the metallic shim they are recommending - or if it is because when die cutting it needs more pressure but I ended up with lots of overfoiling along the cut lines. I was able to remove those with a knife and a sand eraser, but it was pretty annoying. I really have to test this again!

I glued the text across the flowers with dimensionals.

Auf den Blumen und Blättern habe ich noch einige wenige klare Pailetten aufgeklebt.

Dann habe ich den dekorierten Cardstock mit goldenem Spiegelcardstock gemattet und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. Ich liebe diesen Glanz und Schein!

I added a few clear sequins as embellishments onto the flowers and leaves.

Then I matted the decorated cardstock with golden mirror cardstock and glued everything onto a white note card. I love the shine and shimmer of this card!

Morgen ist es soweit - der März-Release von Stampcorner geht online. Und ich habe heute noch eine weitere Karte mit einem Sneak auf eines der neuen Motive. Diesmal geht es in die Tropen.

 

Hello everyone!

The new release by Stampcorner will go online tomorrow. And today I have another card with a sneak of one of the new images. This time we're traveling into the tropics.

 

Ich muss gestehen, ich beneide die kleine Maus hier absolut. Ich wäre auch reif für die Insel! Das Motiv ist aus dem selben Stempelset, aus dem auch der mexikanische Marienkäfer von letztem Freitag war. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich verschiedene Backdrop Stanzen von LawnFawn kombiniert. 

Der Himmel mit Sonne ist mit der Sunburst Backdrop Stanze gemacht. Ich habe ihn aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und ihn später so in der Höhe gekürzt, dass meine Karte ein Endformat von 10,5 x 14,8 cm hat. Das geht sich mit den Stanzen im amerikanische Format in der Breite perfekt aus, wenn man, so wie ich, die Aufleger immer noch mattet. Den weißen Cardstock habe ich dann mit Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass und Mermaid Lagoon eingefärbt.

Die Palmen mit dem dazugehörigen Strand habe ich mit der Tropical Backdrop Stanze gemacht. Die Palmen sind nochmal als Extra-Stanzen in dem Set enthalten. Die habe ich aus braunem bzw. grünem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. 

Den Sand samt Palmen habe ich auf den Himmel geklebt und dazwischen einen Streifen hell-türkis farbenen Cardstock als Meer gefasst. Mit einem weißen Gelpen habe ich dort ein paar Wellen aufgemalt.

 

I have to admit - I totally envy the mouse her vacation. I am ready for some as well! The image is from the same stamp set as the mexican ladybug that I shared with you last friday.

For the background I combined different backdrop dies by LawnFawn. 

The sky with the sun is made with the Sunburst Backdrop die, cut from white cardstock. I then cut it down so my finished card has the german standard size of 10,5 x 14,8 cm. You can use the dies in the american format pretty well, since they are perfect in width if you mat you decorated cardstock, as I usually do. I inked up the white cardstock with Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon. 

The palm trees with the sandy beach are cut with the Tropical Backdrop die set. The palm trees are included as individual dies in this set.. I've die cut those from brown and green cardstock and shaded them with my Copics.  

I glued the beach and palms onto the sky, putting a strip of light turquoise cardstock inbetween to add the sea. With a white gel pen I added a few ripples onto the water.

Und hier liegt die Maus in der Sonne, genießt einen kühlen Cocktail und lässt es sich gut gehen. Ich habe auch sie mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten. 

Als zweite Sandlage habe ich noch einen weiteren Streifen Cardstock aus hell-kraftfarbenem Cardstock etwas wellig ausgestanzt und über die Lage mit den Palmen geklebt. Auf diesen Strandteil habe ich dann die Maus geklebt und einige Sandkörner mit Copics auf den Sand aufgetupft.

 

And here's the mouse, laying in the sun and enjoying a cool drink. Again I used my Copics to color the mouse in, then I cut it out by hand.

As a second beach layer I've die cut another strip of light craft colored cardstock with a wavy border die and glued this layer on top of the one with the palm trees. Onto this area of the beach I glued the mouse and added a few dots with my Copics for a more sandy look.

 

Auch der Text kommt in diesem neuen Stempelset. Ich habe ihn mit Versafine Clair Acorn direkt auf den Sand gestempelt. Chill mal - mehr Text braucht diese Karte nicht, oder?

"Relax" is what this text means. I stamped it with Versafine Clair Acorn directly onto the sand. And I really think this card doesn't need any more text, right?
