November Sketch Challenge bei Create a Smile

Heute startet eine weitere Challenge bei Create a Smile - und es gibt wieder einen tollen Sketch für Euch. Nach dem ist diese weihnachtliche Karte entstanden.

Today starts a new challenge at the Create a Smile Challenge Blog - and we have another great sketch for you. I used it to make this christmas-sy card.

Beim Umsetzen von Sketchen habe ich meist ein Produkt im Sinn, das ich gerne verwenden möchte, und um dieses herum plane ich dann meine Karte. Diesmal war es der Weihnachtsstimmung Hintergrund Stempel. Für den Sketch brauchte ich dann etwas Hohes dazu. Als ich aus dem Fenster gesehen habe, habe ich die Vögel gesehen, die in unserem Garten am Futterhäuschen herumflogen. Und schon war die Idee zur Karte geboren:

When using a sketch most times I have a specific product in mind, that I want to use, and that I plan my card around. This time it was the beautiful Weihnachtsstimmung background stamp. And for the sketch I needed something quite high as an image. I was thinking about what to use and looked out of my window. There I saw the birds, that were flying around the bird feeder in our garden. And there was the idea for my card.

Ich habe denWeihnachtsstimmung Hintergrund mit brauner Tinte auf ein Stück kraftfarbenen Cardstock gestempelt und zusätzlich noch auf einen schmaleren Streifen, und zwar so, dass der Text auf dem Streifen an genau der selben Stelle ist, wie auf dem Cardstockstück darunter. Dank Misti ist sowas ja zum Glück echt einfach. Anschließend habe ich weiße Spritzer auf beiden Cardstockstücken aufgebracht, die sehen aus wie kleine Schneeflocken.

Dem schmalen Streifen habe ich dann mit der Schere die bannerförmige Spitze gegeben und ihn mit einem Stück weißen Cardstock hinterlegt. 

I stamped the Weihnachtssstimmung text background with brown ink onto a rectangle piece of craft colored cardstock and also onto a strip of cardstock, making sure the text on the strip is, when I glue it down later, on the exact same place as it is on the cardstock underneath. Thanks to a Misti that's pretty easy to do. Then I splattered some white paint onto both cardstock pieces, that look like snowflakes falling in the background.

I used my scissors to cut the triangle from the bottom of the cardstock strip, then matted it white.

Den Cardstockstreifen habe ich mit 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und dann meine Motive hinzugefügt.

Die Vögel und das Vogelhaus sind aus dem Set Piep. Ich habe alle Motive mit Copics coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Die Blätterranken rund um das Vogelhaus habe ich weggeschnitten. Dann habe ich das Dach mit der Snowfall Grit Paste von Ranger mit einer Schicht Schnee überzogen. Die ist aber so transparent getrocknet, dass man das Muster auf dem Dach gesehen hat - das wollte ich hier nicht. Also habe ich die Paste noch mit einem weißen Lackmarker weiß übermalt. Außerdem hängen Eiszapfen aus dem Set Home Sweet Home von der Dachkante.

Die beiden Vögel haben ihr Haus winterlich-weihnachtlich geschmückt. Der Tannenbaum und der Schneemann sind aus dem Winter Minis Stempelset, ebenso die Mütze des Vogels auf dem Dach. Die habe ich einfach dem Weihnachtsmann weggenommen. Sie passt dem Vogel nicht perfekt, aber ich finde doch, dass es passt. Die Mütze, die der fliegende Vogel trägt, gehört der Maus aus dem Set Peeking, die Zuckerstange habe ich vom Lebkuchenhaus aus dem Set Lieblingskeks abmontiert. 

Die Eiszapfen und die Kugeln am Weihnachtsbaum habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Auch der Text ist aus dem Set Lieblingskeks. Ich habe die Anordnung beim Stempeln geändert und den Text einzeilig braun auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt. Dann habe ich eine der Useful Banners Stanzen verwendet, um den Text auszustanzen. Die Stanze ist eigentlich zu kurz für diesen langen Text, aber dank Partial Diecutting konnte ich sie trotzdem verwenden. 

Als Deko habe ich dann noch einige kleine rote Herzen, gemacht mit der Hearts Stanze, auf der Karte verteilt.

I used foam tape to attach the cardstock strip onto the background and then put my images on top.

The birds and the birdhouse are from the Piep stamp set. I colored all images with Copics and cut them out. I simply cut off the leaves around the bird house, then covered the roof with the Snowfall Grit Paste by Ranger to add a layer of snow there. Well, it dried so transparent that the pattern on the roof was still visible - and I didn't like that here. So I used a white paint marker to turn the snow white. There are also some icicles from the Home Sweet Home set hanging from the roof.

The two birds decorated their house wintery/christmassy. The christmas tree and the snowman are from the Winter Minis stamp set, also the hat the bird sitting on the roof is wearting. I simply cut that off of the little Santa image. It doesn't fit the bird perfectly, but fine enough, I think. The hat the flying bird is wearing is taken from the mouse from the Peeking stamp set, the candy cane I cut out of the gingerbread house image from the Lieblingskeks stamp sets.

The icicles and the baubles on the christmas tree are covered with Glossy Accents.

Also the text is from the Lieblingskeks stamp set - it means "let's get cozy". I changed the way the words are arranged on the stamp when stamping it with brown ink onto white cardstock, so I ended up with a single line text. Then I used one of the dies from the Useful Banners die set to cut it out. The die is too short for such a long text, but thanks to Partial Diecutting I was still able to use it.

For some small accents I added a few small hearts, cut from red cardstock with the Hearts die set.

Auch die Motive und der Text sind mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Dann habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. Und ich bin es so gewohnt, hier noch eine zusätzliche Schicht Cardstock als Mattung einzubauen, dass ich meinen braunen Cardstock automatisch kleiner geschnitten habe. Diese Mattung hat hier aber einfach nicht gepasst, so dass der weiße Rand hier etwas breiter ausgefallen ist als gewöhnlich. Aber ich finde, das passt hier super.

Also the images and the text are adhered with foam tape. Then I glued everything onto a white note card. I am so used to adding a mat, that I cut my brown cardstock according to the size needed when matting it. Well, I just didn't like it on this card and so the white border around the brown cardstock is a bit wider than usual. But I really think, it works great on this card.

LawnFawnatics Challenge #136

Nachdem ich jetzt an zwei Challenges nicht teilnehmen konnte, weil ich einfach keine Zeit hatte, habe ich es jetzt geschafft, eine Karte für die Challenge zu machen. Und zur Abwechslung habe ich mal eine Winter- statt einer Weihnachtskarte gemacht.

Make the sentiment the star - that's the theme of the LawnFawnatics challenge #136. After not having time to make a card for the last two challenges, I finally managed to make one or this challenge. And for a change I made a winter instead of a christmas card.

Die ursprüngliche Idee zu meiner Karte sah ganz anders aus, aber die setze ich vielleicht noch im Lauf der Woche um. Denn diese hier hat sich irgendwie verselbständigt. 

Im Hintergrund habe ich dunkelblauen Cardstock verwendet und Schneeflocken hineingestanzt. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe als Schneeflocken darauf gespritzt. Außerdem habe ich den Snow Flurries Backdrop aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und als Rahmen auf den Cardstock geklebt.

Der Star der Karte soll ja der Text sein. Also habe ich die Giant Let it Snow Stanze einige Male aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und einmal aus türkisfarbenem Glittercardstock. Vier weiße Lagen und eine Lage Glittercardstock obenauf habe ich aufeinander geklebt. Aus der letzten Lage, die ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt habe, habe ich kleine Schneekappen für die Buchstaben geschnitten und aufgeklebt.

The original idea for my card was completly different, but  I might make that card later this week. This here had its own plans.

As the background I used a piece of dark blue cardstock and cut some snowflakes into it. Then I spritzed white acrylic paint as snowflakes over it. And I also die cut the Snow Flurries Backdrop from white cardstock and adhered it to the blue cardstock as a frame.

The text should be the star of the show. So I die cut the Giant Let it Snow die a few times from white cardstock and once from aqua glitter cardstock. I stacked four layers of white cardstock and put the aqua glitter layer on top. From the last text, that I had die cut from white cardstock, I cut snow caps for the letters and glued those on top of the glitter cardstock.

Und weil die süßen Mäuse aus dem Set Snowball Fight noch unbenutzt waren, durften sie die Karte zieren. 

Auf dem ET von let sorgt eine der Mäuse gerade für ordentlich Schneeball-Vorrat, links auf dem it geht eine Maus in Deckung vor dem heranfliegenden Schneeball, den die Maus rechts, die auf dem W von snow steht, gerade geworfen hat. 

Alle Motive sind mit Copics coloriert. Da ich nicht zu viele weitere Farben einbringen wollte und sowieso  grün für den Tannenbaum weiter unten brauchte, habe ich die Mützen und Schals der Mäuse alle in grün und türkis coloriert. 

And since the mice from the cute Snowball Fight stamp set were still sitting on my desk, waiting to get inked up, I used them on my card.

On the ET from let one of the mice is building a good stash of snowballs, on the left side, on top of the it, one mouse is taking cover from the snowball the mouse on the left, that is standing on the W of the word snow, just threw at her.

All images are colored with Copics. I didn't want to add too many different colors, and since I needed green for the tree anyways, I decided, to color the hats and scarfs of the mice in green and turquoise.

Vor das O des Wortes Snow habe ich ein großes Iglu gesetzt. Das ist aus dem Stempelset Snow Cool. Ganz links befindet sich ein verschneiter Tannenbaum, unter dem S eine kleine Schneewehe. Diese beiden Motive sind aus dem Stempelset Sledding By - dem diesjährigen Stamptember Exclusive Set für SimonSaysStamp. Und an den Fuß des W habe ich noch einen weiteren kleinen Schneehügel geklebt, der ist wieder aus dem Set Snowball Fight. 

Nachdem ich die Motive per Hand ausgeschnitten habe, habe ich sie mit 3D Tape auf die Karte geklebt, so dass sie ein klein wenig niedriger liegen als der Text. 

Apropos Text - am unteren Rand der Karte habe ich noch ein Happy Winter, wieder aus dem Set Snowball Fight, angebracht. Das habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver auf dunkelblauen Cardstock embosst und ausgeschnitten. Und damit es sich ein klein wenig besser vom Hintergrund abhebt, habe ich noch ein weißes Stempelkissen an die Ränder gedrückt. So sieht auch das Banner fast wie verschneit aus.

On top of the word O I put an igloo from the Snow Cool stamp set.

On the left side of the word there's a snowy tree and I put some snow under the S. Both of these images are from the Sledding By stamp set - this year's Stamptember exclusive by SimonSaysStamp. And to the bottom of the W I attached another little pile of snow, again from the set Snowball Fight.

After I had cut out the images by hand I attached them to the card using foam tape, so they are a tad bit lower than the text.

Talking about text - to the bottom edge of the card I added a happy winter, again from the Snowball Fight stamp set. I've white heat embossed it onto dark blue cardstock and cut it out. To make it pop a bit more from the background, I used a white ink pad and inked up the edges of the banner. Now it looks like frosted on the edges.

Ich stecke mitten in der Weihnachtskarten-Produktion. Und da fast alle meine Karten an Erwachsene gehen, fallen sie dieses Jahr auch etwas "erwachsener" aus. Die ein oder andere mit niedlichem Motiv wird mir sicher vom Tisch hüpfen, aber irgendwie ist mir dieses Jahr nach etwas eleganterem. Und die erste dieser Karten zeige ich Euch heute.

I am in the middle of making my christmas cards. And since nearly all my cards are meant to be sent to adults, I also wanted my cards to look a bit more "adulty" this year. I am sure, there will be a few with cute images, but this year I feel more like making elegant cards. And the first one I'm sharing with you today. 

Hier habe ich für den Hintergrund ein Stück weißen Cardstocks mit einem Wellpappe-Embossingfolder geprägt und mit silber-grauer Metallic Watercolor bespritzt. 

Here I used an embossing folder with a corrugated paper design to dry emboss a piece of white cardstock, then spritzed some silver-grey metallic watercolor onto it.

Im oberen Bereich habe ich den Mistletoe Wreath von Altenew aufgeklebt. Den habe ich erst schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt, dann mittels der Layering Stencils eingefärbt. Für den Zweig habe ich Distress Ink Frayed Burlap verwendet, die Blätter sind mit drei Blautönen von Altenew eingefärbt und für die Beeren habe ich ein helles und ein etwas dunkleres Grün von SU benutzt. Dann habe ich den Cardstock noch mit dem entsprechenden Embossingfolder geprägt. Ich war mir nicht sicher, ob ich das nach all der Coloration noch tun sollte, denn ich hatte eher dünnen Cardstock benutzt, aber es hat zum Glück problemlos geklappt. Und weil ich das Stanzenset für das Motiv nicht habe, habe ich dann zur Schere gegriffen und das Motiv per Hand ausgeschnitten. Ja, das hat ein wenig gedauert, gefällt mir aber fast besser als mit der Stanze, denn so sind auch die Kranzmitte sowie die vielen kleinen Bereiche zwischen den Blättern ausgeschnitten.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch die Beeren dünn mit Kleber bestrichen und mit Rock Candy Glitter von Ranger überzogen.

Onto the upper area on my card I attached the Mistletoe Wreath by Altenew. I first stamped it with black ink, then used the matching Layering Stencils to color it in. I used Distress Ink Frayed Burlap for the twig, the leaves are colored with three different tones of blues by Altenew and for the berries I went with a light and a middle green ink by SU. Then I also brought out the matching embossing folder and dry embossed the wreath. I really wasn't sure if it was a  good idea after I had done all the coloring because I had used some not so heavy cardstock, but luckily it went great. And since I don't have the die set to go with this image I used my scissors to cut the wreath out. Yes, it took some time, but I like it even better than cut out with the die, because I also cut out the center and all those small areas between the leaves.

As a finishing touch for this image I covered the berries with some liquid glue and covered them with Rock Candy Glitter by Ranger.

Im unteren Bereich kam diese tolle Weihnachtssternblüte zum Einsatz, außerdem ist hier der Text aufgeklebt. 

Die Blüte ist aus dem Set Poinsettia and Berries von Altenew. Auch hier habe ich die Outlines schwarz gestempelt, die Blüte dann ganz leicht cremefarben gefüllt und die Details mit grüner Tinte aufgestempelt. Ich liebe weiße Weihnachtssterne, und so passte er auch super auf die Karte. 

Da das Motiv eigentlich nur einlagig ist, mir aber irgendwie etwas Höhe fehlte, habe ich die kleineren Blätter noch zweimal mit den selben Farben abgestempelt und ausgeschnitten. Beim Aufkleben habe ich sie einmal um 180° Grad gedreht, so dass auch auf der linken Seite einige kleine Blätter zu sehen sind. Die ausgeschnittenen Blütenblätter habe ich dann mit dünnem 3D Tape auf die große Blüte geklebt und anschließend auch hier die Blütenmitte mit dem Rock Candy Glitter überzogen.

Der Text auf meiner Karte ist eine Mischung aus silber embossten Stempeln und silbern folierten Buchstaben. Der embosste Text stammt aus dem Set Poinsettia and Berries. Ich habe ihn auf mehrere kleine Stücke schwarzen Cardstocks verteilt embosst. 

Für das Wort Joy habe ich die Essential Alpha Hotfoil Plate von Altenew und das passende Stanzenset verwendet. Die Buchstaben sind silbern auf schwarzen Cardstock foliert, ausgestanzt und dann habe ich das Innere der Buchstaben ebenfalls mit Rock Candy beglittert.

Onto the lower area of my card I put this beautiful poinsettia image and added my texts.

The flower is from the Poinsettia and Berries set by Altenew. Again I stamped the outlines black, then filled the flower with a very light cream color and stamped the details with green ink. I love white poinsettias, and with these colors it also fits onto my card colorwise.

Since the image is only one layer, but somehow I needed some more dimension here, I stamped the smaller inner petals again twice using the same colors as I did for the main flower, then cut them out. When glueing them down with thin foam tape I turned one of these 180° degrees so I ended up with some more small petals on the left side as well. Then I covered the flower center with the Rock Candy glitter again.

The text on my card is a mix of silver embossed stamps and silver foiled letters. The embossed texts are from the Poinsettia and Berries stamp set, when I stamped them I seperated them into three different individual texts.

For the word joy I used the Essential Alpha Hotfoil Plate by Altenew and the matching die set. I foiled the letters silver onto black cardstock, cut them out and then filled the inner area of each letter with the Rock Candy glitter again.

Den Kranz habe ich dann direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt, für die Texte habe ich dünnes und zum Aufkleben der Blüte dickeres 3D Tape benutzt. 

Als Deko - auf den Bildern kaum zu sehen - habe ich noch einige klare Pailetten aufgeklebt.

Zum Schluss habe ich den dekorierten Cardstock schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I glued the wreath directly onto the background, for the texts I used thin, for the flower some thicker foam tape.

To embellish the card I added a few clear sequins - that are really hard to see on the pictures.

In the end I matted my decorated cardstock black and attached everything to a white card base.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 05. November 2022

Heute haben wir beim Stempeleinmaleins die Anleitung für eine richtige kleine Stadt für Euch - sie versteckt sich hinter dem Namen Bauklötzchenbox. Und Ihr könnt sie natürlich dekorieren, wie es Euch gefällt, sie passt zu jeder Gelegenheit. Ich habe aus meiner Box einen kleinen Adventskalender gebastelt.

Over at Stempeleinmaleins we are building a real small village and of course have a tutorial for this Building Block Box. Of course it can be decorated in any way you want, it can be made for every occasion. I turned my box into a mini advent calendar.

Die Box sieht wirklich aus, als wäre sie aus Bausteinen gebaut. Sie besteht aus mehreren Hüllen mit eingeschobenen Boxen.

Ich habe die Außenteile meiner Bauklötze aus cremefarbenem Cardstock gemacht, die Innenteile sind aus hell- und dunkelgrünem Cardstock gemacht.

Auf einigen Seiten habe ich mit grüner Tinte den Adventszeit-Text von Whiff of Joy abgestempelt - den habe ich schon ewig nicht mehr verwendet! Die kleinste Zeile habe ich aber gespart, das wäre mir auf den Boxen zu hoch geworden. 

The box really looks like it was made from building blocks. It's made from several sleeves with boxes put inside.

I used cream colored cardstock for the outer parts of my box, the drawers are made from light and dark green cardstock.

Onto a few of the sides I've stamped a "advent time" text by Whiff of Joy with green ink. I haven't used this stamps since years! I just skipped the smallest/third line since the text would have become to large for my boxes.

Neben den aufgestempelten Texten habe ich kleine goldene Sterne als Deko aufgeklebt. Und die Schubladen sind mit den Zahlen von 1 bis 4, gestanzt aus goldenem Glittercardstock, versehen.

Next to the texts stamped on I added a few small golden stars. And the drawers are numbered from 1 to 4 with numbers, that I've cut from golden glitter cardstock.

Vorne ergibt sich zwischen den Boxen eine kleine Platform, die dekoriert werden kann. 

Ich habe hier ein kleines Häuschen, gemacht mit der Lebkuchenhaus-Stanze von Magnolia, aufgeklebt. Das Haus selbst ist wieder aus cremefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt, außerdem habe ich Fensterrahmen aus hellgrünem Cardstock - die habe ich aus einem ausgstanzten Haus per Hand ausgeschnitten, und eine Tannengirlande aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock aufgeklebt. Die Fenster sind mit goldenem Glittercardstock hinterlegt, aus demselben Cardstock habe ich auch das Dach gestanzt. 

Hinter dem Haus stehen drei schmale Tannenbäume, ebenfalls von Magnolia. 

Und damit sich das Haus ein wenig vom ebenfalls cremefarbenen Untergrund absetzt, habe ich hier dick klar trocknenden Kleber aufgetragen und den mit Distress Glitter bestreut. So sieht es ein wenig aus wie Schnee.

There's some kind of platform at the front left corner of the box, that leaves room for decorations.

Here I glued down a little house, made with the gingerbread house die by Magnolia. I used cream colored cardstock for the house itself again, I also cut some light green window frames - simply cut by hand from a light green die cut house - and a garland around the door cut from dark green cardstock. Behind the windows I've put some golden glitter cardstock and used the same cardstock to die cut the roof pieces from.

Behind the house there are three tall fir trees growing, again made using dies by Magnolia.

And since the house and the outer box parts are made from the same color of cardstock, I put a thick layer of clear drying glue around the house and sprinkled Distress Glitter onto it. Now it looks like the house is standing in fresh fallen snow.

 

 

Die spitze Form der aufgestellten Box finde ich besonders toll. So sieht die Box aus wie ein kleiner Turm. Etwas anders angeordnet, kann man so bestimmt auch super eine Burg bauen! Zum Verschließen dieser spitz zulaufenden Box habe ich gold-weißes Twine benutzt.

Auf diesem Bild seht Ihr auch das goldene Dach meines Häuschens nochmal.

I absolutly love the roof shaped top of the standing box. It makes it look like  a tower. And I'm sure, arranged a bit differently you can even make a castle with these boxes. To tie this triangle shaped top box I used some gold and white twine.

On this picture you can also see the golden roof of my little house again.

Unterhalb der oberen, quer liegenden Box befindet sich eine Box, die nur halb so groß ist wie die anderen - so ist diese Seite komplett geschlossen. Diese Box könnt Ihr von der Orientierung her so anbringen, wie es Euch besser gefällt. Ich habe hier die beiden Schubladen übereinander gesetzt, so sieht man auch die unterschiedlichen Farben der Schubladen nochmal besser.

Under the top box, that's lying on top of the other one, there's a box that's only half the size of the others - so this side is completly closed. You can glue that box down in any direction you want. I decided to put both drawers on top of each other, this way the different colors of cardstock I used for the boxes are more obvious.

Manchmal möchte man einfach jemandem Danke sagen - und das geht mit einer Karte natürlich besonders gut. Und so eine Karte zeige ich heute auf dem Stampcorner Blog.

Sometimes we want to say thank you to someone - and of course that's easily done with a card. So I am sharing this thank you card over at the Stampcorner Blog today.

Ich habe hier eine 3D Karte gemacht. Die Seitenteile lassen sich zu einer Seite klappen, so dass die Karte problemlos in einen Umschlag gesteckt werden kann. 

I made a 3D card here. The sides can be fold to the side so the card is flat enough to be put into an envelope.

So sieht die Karte von vorne aus.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich große und kleines Sterne aus meinem Fundus mit goldenem Embossingpulver auf Watercolor Cardstock embosst. Dann habe ich den Hintergrund mit Watercolor coloriert. In ein wenig Wasser, mit dem ich die Sterne coloriert habe, habe ich ein paar Tropfen aus dem Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen getropft, so dass die Sterne schön glitzern. Nach dem Trocknen der Farben habe ich etwas goldene Metallic Watercolor über den Hintergrund gespritzt.

Die beiden Lagen Wolken haben seitlich jeweils Laschen, so dass sie bei aufgestellter Karte nach oben stehen und so der Szene Tiefe geben. Dabei habe ich die Lasche hinten etwas weniger tief gemacht, als die der vorderen Wolkenlage. Zwischen die Wolken habe ich noch einige Sterne, gestanzt aus goldenem Glitter Cardstock, geklebt.

Und damit die oberen und unteren Wolken gleichzeit aufklappen, habe ich noch einen Rahmen aus dunkelblauem Cardstock aufgeklebt, der beide Lagen miteinander verbindet. Dafür habe ich zwei der Deckle Edge Stanzen benutzt.

For the background I gold heat emossed some large and small stars that I had in my stash onto a piece of watercolor cardstock. Then I used watercolor to color the cardstock and stars. I pressed a few drops of my Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen into a bit of  water and used it to color the stars. This way they get a nice shimmer. After the colors  had dried I spritzed some golden metallic watercolor over the cardstock panel.

The two layers of clouds have flaps on the sides, that make the clouds stand out when the card isn't folded flat and give the scene a wonderful depth. I attached a few stars, die cut from golden glitter cardstock, between the cloud layers.

And to make sure, the top and bottom rows of clouds fold open at the same time, I attached a frame that connect those two areas of the card. I used two of the Deckle Edge dies to cut the frame from blue cardstock.

Und her ist der eigentlich Star der Karte. Der kleine Bär ist aus einem der Stempelsets aus dem November-Release von Stampcorner und unverkennbar aus der Feder von StuffDeluxe. Ich habe ihn mit Copics coloriert, Highlights mit einem weißen Gelstift gesetzt und ihn ausgeschnitten. Den Stern, den er in der Pfote hält, habe ich wieder mit den Aqua Shimmer Pens beglittert. 

Da der Bär ja nicht einfach so im All schweben kann, habe ich eine größere und eine kleinere Wolke aus Vellum gestanzt und den Bären dazwische gesetzt, so dass er auf den Wolken sitzen kann. 

An der Rückseite habe ich einen schmalen Streifen Folie angeklebt, das andere Ende ist mit aufgedoppeltem 3D Tape auf der mittleren Wolkenlage befestigt. So schwebt er optisch frei in der Karte - und beim Aufstellen bewegt er sich ein klein wenig.

And here's the real star of this card. The little bear comes in one of the stamp sets from Stampcorner's november release and it is clearly visible, that it was again designed by StuffDeluxe. I colored him with Copics, added some highlights with a white gel pen and cut him out. To make the star, he's holding in his hand, match the ones in the background a bit more, I put some of the Aqua Shimmer Pen on top of it.

Well, of course the bear can not float in the sky, so I've die cut a larger and a smaller cloud from vellum and glued the bear in between. So now it looks like he's sitting on the clouds.

To the back of the bear I've attached a thin strip of acetate, the other end I glued onto the first row of clouds using two layers of foam tape. Now he seems to float on his cloud freely on this card - and he even moves a bit when the card gets put up.

Auf der Außenseite meiner Karte war defintiv kein Platz mehr für einen Text. Also habe ich den einfach ins Innere meiner Karte gepackt. Ich habe mich für eine Karte mit Falzung an der Schmalseite entschieden und meine 3D Szene oben aufgeklebt.

On the outside there was absolutley no room left for the text. So I simply put it on the inside. I went with a topfolding note card and adhered my scene onto the front.

Der Text und die Sterne kommen im selben Stempelset wie das Motiv. Ich habe das Danke mit Versafine Clair Blue Belle direkt ins Innere der Karte und die Sterne mit gelber Farbe daneben gestempelt.

Auch der kleine Bärenkopf ist eines der Motive im Stempelset. Ich habe ihn ebenfalls mit Copics passend zum Bären auf der Vordersesite der Karte coloriert, ausgeschnitten und über dem Text aufgeklebt. 

The text - which means thank you - and the stars come in the same stamp set as the image. I used Versafine Clair Blue Belle to stamp the word direcctly onto the inside of my card, then stamped the stars with yellow ink next to it.

And also this little bear head comes in this stamp set. I colored him with Copics as well, making him match the bear on the outside, then cut him out and glued them down above the text.

Ein UFO weniger

Habt Ihr auch immer mal wieder UFOs auf Eurem Tisch liegen - UnFertige Objekte? Mir passiert das selten, und wenn doch, dann nervt mich das eigentlich total. Nun, heute zeige ich Euch eine Karte, die einige Zeit Ihr Dasein als UFO gefristet hat. Dabei war es eigentlich gar kein richtiges UFO, ich musste sie nur noch montieren! Das habe ich jetzt endlich getan, und so gibt es im November eine eher sommerlich-herbstliche Karte von mir. Aber Blumen gehen immer, finde ich.

Hello everyone!

Do you have UFOs - UnFinished Objects- lying on your desk every now and then like I do? It rarely happens to me, but I hate when it happens. Well, today I am sharing a card, that lay around as an UFO for quite some time. Actually it even wasn't a real UFO, I only needed to mount it onto a card base! Now I finally did, and so I am posting this pretty summerish/fallish looking card in november. But I think, flowers are never out of (cardmaking) season.

Ich habe hier eine Slimline Card mit dem Miss Your Smile Stempel und passendem Stencil von PinkFresh verwendet. Allerdings habe ich den Stencil ein wenig "stepped up" eingesetzt. 

Here I made a Slimline Card using the Miss Your Smile stamp and matching stencil by PinkFresh. But I stepped up my stenciling a bit. 

Zuerst habe ich das Motiv mit goldenem Embossingpulver auf Watercolor Cardstock embosst. Dann habe ich die Stencil aufgelegt und mit Distress Ink - die genauen Farben kann ich nach so langer Zeit leider nicht mehr sagen - die Stencils aufgewischt. Die komplett gefüllte Lage habe ich dabei ausgelassen und mit dem Stencil Schritt 2 angefangen. Ich habe die Farbe durch den Stencil aufgewischt, den Stencil dann abgenommen und die Farbe mit einem Pinsel und Wasser etwas vermalt. Dann habe ich den nächsten Stencil aufgelegt und mit dunklerer Tinte genauso gearbeitet. Diesen letzten Stencil-Schritt habe ich ein zweites Mal wiederholt, damit es doch noch einige richtig dunkle Stellen gibt. Zwischen den einzelnen Farbschichten habe ich das Papier mit einem Embossingfön getrocknet. 

Zum Schluss habe ich rund um das Motiv hellgelb - ich glaube, ich habe Old Paper oder sogar Scattered Straw verwendet, aufgetragen und ebenfalls mit einem Pinsel und Wasser vermalt.

First I gold heat embossed the image onto watercolor paper. Then I laid down the stencil and used Distress Inks to add color to the image - I can't tell the exact colors anymore after such a long time. I skipped the first stencil layer with the solid image and started with stencil #2. I put the ink through the stencil onto to the image, then removed the stencil and used a brush and water to fade the color out. Then I put down the next stencil and did the same using some darker ink. I re-used the last stencil again to have some really dark areas on my image. Inbetween putting the colors down I dried my paper each time with a heat gun.

As a last step I put down some light yellow-ish ink around the image - I either used Old Paper or even Scattered Straw - and blended that out with water and a brush again.

Über das fertig colorierte Motiv habe ich dann weiße Acrylfarbe gespritzt.

Und dann fehlte ein Text. Das Hello ist mit einem Stempel- und Stanzenset von MFT gemacht. Ich habe den Text golden auf weißen Cardstock embosst und mit einer genau passenden Stanze ausgestanzt. Dann habe ich den Schatten aus Vellum gestanzt und das Wort an sich noch einige weitere Male aus weißem Cardstock. Die weißen Stanzteile habe ich aufeinander geklebt, dann das Vellum und obenauf die golden embosste Lage. So konnte ich das Wort ohne 3D Tape ein wenig nach oben bringen.

Die beiden anderen Textteile sind schwarz auf goldenen Shimmer Cardstock gestempelt und mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich dann noch einige goldene Perlen auf der Karte verteilt.

I spritzed some white acrylic paint over the finished image.

Then I needed a text. I used a stamp and die set by MFT for the hello. I gold heat embossed the word hello onto white cardstock, then used a die to cut it out. I cut the shadow layer from vellum and cut a few more of the word from white cardstock. I stacked those, put the Vellum on top and then the heat embossed word on top of the vellum. This way I was able to create some dimension with that word without having to use foam tape.

The two other parts of the text are black stamped onto some golden shimmer cardstock and glued down with foam tape.

To finish the card I added a few golden pearls.

BINGO!

Als kreative "Aufgabe" zum Wochenende hat Christine von Create a Smile eine Bingo-Chart kreiert und in der Create-a-Smile-Facebookgruppe zum Mitmachen aufgerufen. Nachdem ich erst die Geburtstagskarte für meinen Enkel machen musste/wollte, war die Zeit bei mir etwas knapp, aber ich habe doch eine Karte geschafft. Und das ist das Bingo:

As a kreative inspiration for the weekend Christine from Create a Smile created a Bingo chart and challenged people in her Facebook group to make a card after it. Since I had/wanted to make my grandson's birthday card first, I was a bit short on time. But I still managed to make a card. And that's the bingo chart:

Ich habe mich für die untere Reihe quer entschieden: Textur, viel Weiß und Holz.

I went with the bottom row: texture, lots of white and wood.

Für den Hintergrund meiner Karte habe ich das Mistletoes Stencil verwendet - die Blätter habe ich mit creme-gold schimmernde Paste, für die Beeren helltürkisfarbene, ebenfalls Schimmernde Paste verwendet. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe darüber gespritzt.

For the background I used the Mistletoes stencil set - I used some cream-gold shimmer paste for the leaves, for the berries I went with some turquoise shimmer paste. After the pastes had dried I flicked some white acrylic paint over the cardstock.

Da ich mitten in der Weihnachtskartenproduktion stecke, habe ich auch diesmal wieder eine Weihnachtskarte gemacht.

Für die Deko habe ich die Blätter/Zweige aus dem Stanzenset Window Pocket aus Watercolor Cardstock gestanzt. Die helleren habe ich dann mit Distress Ink Speckled Egg und einem Pinsel coloriert, für die etwas dunkleren Blätter habe ich das Distress Spray Stain Speckled Egg benutzt. Auch hier habe ich anschließend wieder einige Spritzer weißer Acrylfarbe aufgebracht. Und weil mir ein wenig Kontrast fehlte, habe ich hinter die zusammengeklebten Zweige noch einige aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzte geklebt.

Für den Text habe ich die Weihnachten x 3 Stanze verwendet, aber nur die erste und dritte Lage benutzt. Die Schattenlage ist aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, das Wort aus matt-goldenem Metallic Cardstock. Das goldene Wort habe ich mit drei weiteren Lagen, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock, hinterlegt.

Ergänzt habe ich den Text durch die weiß auf schwarz embossten Worte "nun wirds" aus dem Stempelset Besinnlich. 

Der Hintergrund war irgendwie recht unruhig, und die Farbe der Beeren recht ähnlich zu den Zweigen. Deswegen habe ich aus dem mattgoldenen Metallic Cardstock einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames gestanzt und mit Vellum hinterlegt. Darauf habe ich dann, teilweise mit 3D Tape, die Deko aufgeklebt.

Since I am in the middle of making christmas cards, I made a christmas card today, also.

For the decoration on my card I've die cut the leaves/branches from the Window Pocket die set from Watercolor Cardstock. I used a brush and waterered down Distress Ink Speckled Egg to color the lighter leaves, for the darker ones I brought out the Distress Spray Stain Speckled Egg. And again I spritzed some white acrylic paint on top of the die cuts. And since I was missing some contrast, I die cut a few more leaves from black cardstock and glued them behind the aqua ones.

For the text I used only the first and third layer of the Weihnachten x 3 die set. I've die cut the shadow layer from black cardstock, the word itself from matte gold metallic cardstock and placed three more die cut words, cut from black cardstock, behind it.

I white heat embossed the words "nun wirds" - now it's - onto black cardstock to finish my text.

The background was kind of busy and the color of the berries very much like my branches. So I've die cut one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames from matte gold metallic cardstock and put some vellum behind it. Onto that I attached my decorations, using thin foam tape for a few pieces.

Dann habe ich wieder 3D Tape benutzt, um das Vellum auf den Hintergrund zu kleben.

Nun fehlte noch das Holz. Um das zu integrieren, habe ich kleine Sterne aus Holz auf die Karte geklebt. Zum Schluss habe ich meinen Kartenaufleger schwarz gemattet und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Then I used foam tape again, to adhere the vellum to the background.

Now what was missing from the Bingo was the wood. So I glued little wooden stars as decorations onto my card. Then I matted the cardstock black and attached everything onto a white card base.

Eine Explosionbox zum Ruhestand

Heute habe ich eine weitere Explosionbox zu zeigen - diesmal zum Ruhestand.

Hello everyone! 

Today I have another explosion box to share with you - this time as a retirement gift.

Die Box ist aus schwarzem Cardstock gewerkelt. Die Seitenteile habe ich mit dunkelblauem Designpapier mit einem Holzmuster beklebt, das ich vorher weiß gemattet habe.

The box is made from black cardstock. I covered the sides with some blue patterned paper with a wooden pattern, that I had matted white.

Den Deckel habe ich mit hellblauem Cardstock beklebt, den ich ebenfalls weiß gemattet habe.

Als Deko habe ich dort eine halbe Rosette aus schwarzem Cardstock stehend aufgeklebt. Die bildet den Hintergrund für meinen Text. Dafür habe ich das Hurra von Stampcorner aus silberfarbenem Glittercardstock gestanzt und mit einigen weißen Stanzteilen hinterlegt, die ich etwas versetzt aufgeklebt habe. Hinter dem Text befindet sich ein Halbkreis aus dem dunkelblauen Holzmusterpapier, außerdem habe ich hier einige silberne Sterne und silberne Glitter-Pailetten aufgeklebt.

Und irgendwie war mir das zu wenig. Also habe ich noch eine hellblaue und eine weiße Girlande, gemacht mit Stanzen von TheGreetery, hinter der Rosette angebracht. Und ein paar Luftballons haben dort auch noch Platz gefunden. Ich habe sie mit einer Stanze von MFT einige Male aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und als mittlere Lage hellblaues Vellum eingefügt. So passen sie farblich zur Box, sind nicht nur leere Ringe und außerdem schön stabil, so dass sie gut stehen.

I covered the lid with some light blue patterned paper, that I also matted white.

To decorate the lid I made half a paper rosette from black cardstock and glued that down standing upright. It makes the background for my text. I die cut the Hurra word from silver glitter cardstock and put a few white die cuts behind it, glueing those down a bit off. Behind the text I blued half a circle cut from the dark blue patterned paper with the wooden print and also added a few silver stars and glittery silver sequins.

Well, somehow that looked boring. So I added a light blue and a white party garland, made with a die by TheGreetery, behind the rosette. And there was also room for a few balloons. I die cut those several from black cardstock using a die by MFT and added some light blue vellum as a middle layer. Now they fit the colors of the box, aren't just empty rings and also are sturdy enough to stand up.

Vor die Deko habe ich zwei Banner mit dem Text "endlich Ruhestand" aufgeklebt und drumherum ein paar weitere Glitzer-Pailetten verteilt.

In front of the decoration I glued down two banners with a "finaly retirement" text stamped onto them and then added a few more glitter sequins around them.

Und so sieht die Box geöffnet aus.

Die Dame, die die Box bekommen wird, reist gerne und geht gerne shoppen. Dafür soll sie einen Zuschuss bekommen. Na, das lässt sich doch verwenden!

Ich habe die beiden Rückseiten der Box mit hellbauem Designpapier, das ein wenig wie Himmel mit Schleierwolken aussieht, beklebt. Davor kamen dann drei Lagen von Großstadt-Skylines, die ich aus hell-, mittel- und dunkelgrauem Cardstock gestanzt habe. Oben am Himmel fliegen noch zwei Flugzeuge. 

The lady, that will get this box, loves to travel and to shop and will get some money for that. Well, that's something I can work with!

I covered the two back sides of the box with light blue patterned paper, that looks like a sky with some thin white clouds. Then I glued three layers of city skylines, that I had cut from light, middle and dark grey cardstock, into the box. I also added two planes to the sky.

Zwischen die Häuserreihen habe ich Schilder mit Städtenamen verteilt.

Im Vordergrund steht ein grauer Koffer, der das Thema Reise nochmal aufgreift. Und um das Thema Shopping einzubauen, habe ich kleine Boutiquetüten aus verschiedenfarbigem Cardstock und Designpapier gewerkelt, die mit Griffen aus Twine versehen und mit kleinen Stücken farbigem Papier gefüllt sind.

Between the rows of houses I added signs with some city names on them.

In front of the skylines I glued down a suitcase to pick up the travel theme again. And to include the shopping theme I created little shopping bags from different colors of cardstock and patterned paper, that I added a handle from twine to and filled them with little pieces of patterned paper.

In einer der beiden aufklappenden Seitenteile befindet sich eine Tasche, die ich mit einer Umschlagklappe versehen habe, die mit Magneten geschlossen gehalten wird.

Dort befindet sich auch der erste Teil eines Textes zum Thema Ruhestand. Der ist mit einem Stempel von Stampcorner gemacht.

In one of the opening sides there's a pocket, that I created an envelope flap for. It holds closed with two little magnets.

There I also glued down the first part of a text with a retirement theme - it means "old enough to leave work forever".

 

 In der Tasche des letzten Seitenteils befindet sich eine kleine Karte für einen persönlichen Gruß - äh, die fehlte auf dem Foto noch. Auf die Tasche habe ich den zweiten Teil des Textes geklebt.

The pocket on the last side holds a little note card for some personal words - well, it was still missing when I took the picture. And I glued the rest of the retirement text down here - it means "young enough to enjoy it".

Teil des neuen Releases von Stampcorner sind vier Wortstanzen - und mit denen zeige ich Euch heute auf dem Stampcorner Blog eine Karte. 

 

Hello everyone!

There are also four new word dies in the new Stampcorner release - and I used those to make this card, that I'm sharing over at the Stampcorner Blog today. 

 

 Und wie Ihr seht, habe ich gleich alle vier Worte auf eine Karte gepackt. Die ergeben zusammen einen tollen Hintergrund. Und auch wenn diese Karte niedliche Motive enthält, finde ich doch, dass sie perfekt für die ach-so-schwer zu bebastelnden Männer/Jungs in unseren Leben ist.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich den Scallop Stripe Hintergrundstempel von MFT mit goldenem Embossingpulver einmal auf weißen und einmal auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Vom weißen Cardstock habe ich rundum einen schmalen Streifen weggeschnitten, so dass der schwarze Cardstock einen kleinen Rahmen bildet, das Muster aber weiterhin deckungsgleich ist. Dann habe ich aus dem weißen Carddstock die vier Worte Mega, Spitze, Bäm und Krass ausgetanzt. Ich habe alle Worte mittig ausgestanzt, nur das Bäm, das ja kürzer ist, habe ich an den rechten Rand geschoben, so dass links noch Platz für ein Motiv war. 

Mit dünnem 3D Tape habe ich dann den weißen Cardstock sowie die kleinen Teil im Inneren der Buchstaben auf den schwarzen Cardstock geklebt. Der ist nun nur durch die ausgestanzten Worte - und natürlich am Rand - sichtbar und das Muster sieht wie einmal gestempelt aus. 

Ich bin ehrlich - ich habe meine Karte neu gemacht. Denn erst hatte ich den schwarzen Cardstock oben, den weißen unten. Im Vorfeld war ich mir sicher, dass das besser aussähe, aber als die fertige Karte dann so vor mir lag, hat es mir einfach nicht gefallen. Also habe ich die Motive abgezogen, die Hintergründe diesmal umgekehrt neu gestaltet und die Motive wieder aufgesetzt. Nun gefiel mir die Karte!

And as you can see - I did use all four words on one card. Used this way they create a great background. And even if there are some cute images on this card, I still think it's perfect for all those boys/men in our lifes, that are always hard to make a card for.

For the background I gold heat embossed the Scallop Stripe background by MFT onto black and white cardstock. Then I cut off a thin strip from all four sides of the white cardstock, so the black cardstock creates a little frame, but the pattern is still equal. Then I die cut the words mega, great, bam and krass - another german word to express your astonishment - from the white cardstock. I placed all word dies centered on my cardstock, only the bam die - which is shorter than the others - I ligned up with the other words on the right so there's rooom on the left for an image.

Using thin foam tape I adhered the white cardstock and also all those small inner pieces of the words onto the black cardstock. That is now visible through the cut out words - and of course on the outside - and the pattern continues all over the card.

Honestly - this is my second version of this card. On my first one I had the black cardstock on top, the white underneath - and before I was sure I'd like that version better. But once the card was done, it looked odd. So I peeled the images off, created a new background and glued the pieces back on. Now I liked the card!

Sieht der Effekt mit dem gold embossten Hintergrund auf beiden Cardstockstücken nicht super aus?

Durch das Ä im Wort Bäm ist der Abstand zwischen den Worten Spitze und Bäm etwas höher - perfekt für ein kleines Motiv. Ich habe hier einen der Vögel aus dem Shout it from the Rooftops Set von MFT abgestempelt, mit Copics coloriert, ausgeschnitten und auf das M geklebt. Dann habe ich noch den einzelnen Luftballon aus dem Set Balloon Bouquet, ebenfalls von MFT, gold auf Vellum embosst, ausgeschnitten und dem kleinen Vogel in den Schnabel gegeben.

You just have to love the gold embossed pattern continueing on both cardstock pieces!

Due to the dots on the A, the distance between the words Spitze and Bäm is a bit bigger than betwee the other words - the perfect place for a little image. I stamped and colored one of the little birds from the Shout it from the Rooftops set by MFT, then cut it out and glued it onto the M. Then I gold heat embossed the single balloon from the Balloon Bouquet stamp set - also by MFT - onto vellum, cut it out and placed the string in the bird's beak.

Auf den größeren freien Bereich links neben dem Wort Bäm war dann noch Platz für den süßen Panda aus dem neuen Stempelset von StuffDeluxe. Auch ihn habe ich mit Copics coloriert, weiße Highlights mit einem Gelstift gesetzt, ausgeschnitten und mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

Da dieser Panda keinen Unterleib hat - und den habe ich hier nicht weggeschnitten, das Motiv ist so! - war ein Streifen mit einem Text perfekt, um das zu kaschieren. Auf meiner Karte hätte es sonst ein wenig komisch gewirkt, wenn der halbe Panda so auf der Karte schwebt. Also habe ich aus Worten aus dem Stempelset Kleine Worte 2 den Text "herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Abschluss" zusammengesetzt und gold auf weißen Cardstock embosst. Dann habe ich den Cardstock schwarz gemattet und unter dem Panda wieder mit 3D Tape quer über die Karte geklebt.

On the larger white space to the left of the word bäm there was room for this cute panda from another new set from the November release. Again I used Copics to color him in, added some highlights with a white gel pen, cut him out and glued him onto the card using foam tape.

This panda doesn't have a lower body - and it's not that I cut it off, the image is drawn like that! - a thin strip with a text was perfect to cover that. On my card it would have looked kind of weird with half a panda floating around. So I used words from the Kleine Worte 2 stamp set to put together a "congrats for your graduation" text, gold heat embossed that onto white cardstock, matted that black and used foam tape again to adhere the strip across my card.

Zum Schluss habe ich als Deko fünf goldene Stern-Pailetten auf die Karte geklebt.

Hier sieht man auch, wie durch das 3D Tape zwischen den beiden Hintergründen mit den aus dem oberen Cardstock gestanzten Worten ein toller Tiefen-Effekt entsteht. Von oben fotografiert hat man das gar nicht gesehen.

To finish the card I added five gold star confettis.

And here you can also see, how the foam tape between the two backgrounds with the words cut from the top one creates a beautuiful depth. Photographed directly from the top that wasn't visible.
