Geht es Euch auch so - beim Gang durch den Garten sieht man die ersten Blüten. Und jede davon zaubert mir ein Lächeln ins Gesicht. Und das hat mich zu dieser Karte inspiriert, die ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige.

Are you like me - I love to walk through the garden where you can see the first flowers bloom. And each of them puts a smile on my face. This is what inspired me to this card that I'm sharing over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today. 

Irgendwie hatte ich das mit dem "einmal im Monat einen alten Stempel benutzen" seit dem Jahreswechsel total vergessen. Jetzt fiel es mir wieder ein - und so habe ich hier einen nicht wirklich alten, aber zumindest älteren Stempel auf der Karte benutzt und hoffe, in Zukunft wieder jeden Monat daran zu denken. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstock mit Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke und Black Soot so gewischt, dass in der Mitte, also unter dem Motiv, die Farbe am hellsten ist und zum Rand der Karte dunkler wird. Dann habe ich noch blaue Schimmer-Wasserfarbe und weißes Gesso über den Hintergrund gespritzt.

Well, since the new year had started I totally forgot about my own "use an old stamp each month" challenge. Now it came back to my mind - and so I used a not really old but at least an older stamp as the image here. And I hope to remember the challenge from now on.

For the background I've inked up a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke and Black Soot. I kept the middle area, where I wanted to place my image, the lightest and ended up really dark on the edges of my cardstock. Then I added some small droplets of a light blue shimmer watercolor and some more with a white gesso to my background.

Das ist der tolle Blumenstempel Beautiful Bloom, den ich für meine Karte gewählt habe. Ich habe ihn zweimal auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt.

Einmal habe ich ihn mit Copics komplett in einem hellen grau coloriert. Diese graue Blume habe ich ausgeschnitten und in die Mitte meines Hintegrundes geklebt.

Dann habe ich den zweiten Stempelabdruck nur stellenweise  in hellem Blau coloriert und mit verschiedenen Größen der A2 Circle Stax Stanzen von MFT diese colorierten Teile ausgestanzt. Den weißen Rand an zweien der Kreise  habe ich bewusst so gewählt, ich finde, dadurch leuchtet das Motiv noch mehr.

This is the great flower image Beautiful Bloom that I picked as my image here. I've stamped it twice onto white cardstock.

One of the stamped images I've colored in a light grey with my Copics. I've cut out this grey flower and glued it onto the center of my background.

Then I colored only parts of the other stamped image in a light blue and cut out these colored areas with different sizes of the A2 Circle Stax dies by MFT. I kept the white parts on two of the circles on purpose because I think those make the image pop even more.

Natürlich brauchte meine Karte auch einen passenden Text. Hier habe ich einen Stempel aus dem Happy Campers von MFT verwendet und ihn mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Das Wort Smile im Text habe ich dann durch ein ausgestanztes ersetzt. Dafür habe ich eine Stanze aus dem Shadow Script #2 Stanzenset von Sizzix verwendet. Der Schatten ist aus schwarzem, das Wort selbst aus hellblauem Cardstock gestanzt.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar kleine Diamanten auf der Blume verteilt.

Of course my card needed a text. I've used a stamp from the Happy Campers stamp set by MFT here and white heat embossed it onto black cardstock. I've replaced the word smile in the stamped text with a die cut one, die cut using one of the dies from the Shadow Script #2 die set by Sizzix. The shadow is die cut from black, the word itself from light blue cardstock.

In the end I've added a few clear diamonds on top of the flower.

Frühlingshafte Box in Rosa

Seit Anfang des Jahres gibt es ja jeden letzten Sonntag einen Post mit Stempeln/Stanzen von JM-Creation, die wir als Überraschung zugeschickt bekommen - und auch wir vom Team wissen im Vorfeld nicht, was die anderen mit diesen Produkten gewerkelt haben. Und heute ist es wieder soweit. Diesmal war es das Tag Groß Stanzenset sowie das Stempelset Hasen mit Zylinder. Und ich habe damit eine Geschenktüte in rosa gemacht.

Since beginning of this year each last sunday of the month I have a project with stamps/dies by JM Creation to share. Each member of the team gets a die and stamp - and also we from the team don't know ahead what the other created. So, it's time for another one today. This time we got a tag die set and a stamp set with cute bunnies. And I created this gift bag with them.

Die Geschenktüte habe ich mit der Tütenstanze aus dem Dirndl-Set aus hellrosafarbenem Cardstock gestanzt.

For the bag I used a bag die and cut it from light pink cardstock.

Auf die Vorderseite der Tüte habe ich dann mit Distress Oxide Kitsch Flamingo Strahlen aufgewischt. Darüber habe ich dann erst das neue Gras mit schwarzer Tinte aufgestempelt. Ich habe einfach verschiedene der Stempel kombiniert, damit das Gras auch schön hoch wird und auch hinter dem Hasen noch sichtbar ist.

Der süße Hase im Zylinder ist mit Copics coloriert, ausgeschnitten und auf die Box geklebt.

Onto the front of the bag I added some rays with Distress Oxide Kitsch Flamingo.

Then I stamped some grass over them, using black ink. I combined different stamps from a grass set to make the grass tall enough so there's also some behind the bunny in the hat.

The cute bunny is colored with Copics, cut out and glued onto the box.

Rund um den Zylinder habe ich dann die Blumen aus dem Tag-Stanzenset aufgeklebt, die größeren aus dunkel-pinkem, die kleineren aus hell-pinkem Cardstock gestanzt. Hier auf dem Bild wirken die Farben alle ein wenig eintönig, in echt sieht man den Kontrast viel besser.

Auch das Banner, auf das ich mit schwarzer Tinte das Wort Glücksmomente aufgestempelt habe, ist aus dem Tag-Set. Den Stempel habe ich einfach so in Form gebogen, dass er den Rundungen des Banners angepasst ist. Dann habe ich es mit etwas Abstand zum Gras unter den Hasen und die Blumen aufgeklebt.

Dazwischen kam dann noch ein ausgestanztes Frühling, das ich wieder aus dem dunkel-pinken Cardstock gestanzt und mit Glossy Accents überzogen habe.

Als Deko kamen dann noch ein paar pinkfarbene Enamel Accents auf die Box.

Around the bunny I arranged a few flowers that I've die cut with dies from the tag die set. The larger ones are die cut from dark pink, the smaller ones from light pink cardstock. In real life there is much more contrast between all the layers but on the photo the whole box looks kind of flat.

Also the banner, onto that I've stamped the words "happy moments" with black ink, is from the tag die set. I bend the stamp to make it fit the curvings of the banner. Then I glued it onto the box, leaving a bit of room between the grass and the banner.

Between those I added a die cut "spring's" that I've once again die cut from the darker pink cardstock. I also covered it with Glossy Accents.

In the end I added a few pink Enamel Accents for decorations.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 24. April 2021

Wie jeden letzten Samstag im Monat gibt es heute einen neuen Sketch für Euch beim Stempeleinmaleins. Und ich habe ihn genutzt, um die Geburtstagskarten für meine Zwillings-Töchter zu machen. Wie immer einmal in rot und einmal in blau - wobei, hier eher pink und türkis. Soviel Freiheit habe ich.... ;)

Like every last saturday of the month we have a new sketch inspiration for you over at Stempeleinmaleins. And I used it to make my twin girls' birthday cards. As always I made a blue and a red verseion - or here a pink and a turquoise one. I have that much freedom when it comes to the colors... ;)

Ich habe ein Stück hellgrauen Cardstock genommen und mit etwas dunklerer Tinte den Number Jumble Background von MFT Ton in Ton darauf gestempelt. Dann habe ich alles 2 und 0 mit silbernem Glitzer-Gelmarker ausgemalt, denn die Karte ist zum 20. Geburtstag.

I used a piece of light grey cardstock and stamped the Number Jumble Background by MFT onto it with a slightly darker ink to get a kind of monochrome look. Then I used a silver glitter gel marker to color in all 0s and 2s since these cards are for their 20th birthday.

Um die beiden Kreise auf dem Sketch darzustellen, habe ich aus dem Hintergrund zwei Kreise ausgestanzt. Dann habe ich ihn schwarz gemattet, durch die ausgestanzten Kreise ist der schwarze Cardstock auch auf der Karte zu sehen. Dann kamen beide Lagen auf einen weißen Kartenrohling.

To use the two circles drawn in the sketch I've die cut two circles from the background and matted the whole piece with black cardstock. It can be seen through the two circles and creates a background for my "images". Then I glued both layers onto a white note card.

In jeden der Kreise habe ich drei Geburtstagskerzen geklebt, die ich mit Stanzen von MFT und MarianneDesign gestanzt habe. Über einen der Kreise habe ich das Wort Teen, über den anderen das Wort Twen geklebt. Die Kerzen im unteren Kreis, der mit Twen beschriftet ist, habe ich mit 3 Glitzersteinen "angezündet. 

Die Worte Teen und Twen sind mit einem ABC Stanzenset von Whiff of Joy aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit schwarzem Fineliner sowie dem silbernen Glitzer Gelmarker akzentuiert. 

Mit einem weißen Gelmarker habe ich jeweils inner- und außerhalb der Kreise noch eine Linie als eine Art Rahmen gezogen.

Into each circle I've glued three candles, die cut with dies by MFT and MarianneDesign. Across one of the circles I've written the word teen, across the other one the word twen. I lit up the candles in the circles with the word twen across it with 3 rhinestones.

The words teen and twen are written with letters die cut with an alphabet die set by Whiff of Joy. I also used a black fineliner and the same silver glitter gelmarker to add some highlights to the letters.

I also used a white gelmarker to draw a circle to the outside and inside of each circle, creating some kind of frame.

Den Text im Dymo-Look habe ich am PC geschrieben und ausgedruckt. Hinter die Worte habe ich einen schwarzen ausgestanzten Pfeil geklebt, der von Teen zu Twen zeigt.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar pink- bzw. türkisfarbene Enamel Accents auf den Karten verteilt.

The text in a Dymo look is written on my PC and then printed out. Behind the words I glued a black die cut arrow that goes from the word teen to the word twen.

In the end I added a few pink/turquoise colored Enamel Accents to the cards.

April-Challenge bei Stampcorner

Oh Gott, es ist schon wieder ein Monat rum - Zeit also für eine neue Challenge bei Stampcorner! Diesmal haben wir das Thema "Coloriertes" ausgewählt. Ihr könnt die komplette Karte, ein Motiv oder einen Hintergrund mit Eurem bevorzugten Medium colorieren. Es stehen Euch also ganz viele Möglichkeiten offen. Und das ist meine Karte dazu.

Again a month has passed - so it's time for a new challenge over at Stampcorner. This time we've picked the theme of "coloring". You can create a whole handcolored card, use a colored image or background - and whatever you prefer to color. So the possibilities are endless. And this is my card with an colored image.

Ich habe hier an ein Stück weißen  Cardstocks einen schmalen Streifen schwarz geklebt und dann einen etwas breiteren Streifen Designpapier aus dem Maritim Paperpad von Stampcorner. Dann habe ich alles schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Here I glued a small strip of black cardstock to one side of a piece of white cardstock, then added a strip of the maritim designer's paper by Stampcorner. I matted this whole piece with black cardstock and glued it onto a white note card.

Als coloriertes Motiv habe ich diesen genialen Hund an Herzluftballons von Stampcorner gewählt. Er ist mit Copics coloriert, die Luftballons sind außerdem mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Den Hintergrund um den Hund habe ich mit Distress Oxide Broken China gewischt und ein paar Wassertropfen sowie Broken China pur auf die Karte gespritzt.

As my colored image I used this great dog with heart balloons by Stampcorner. I did the coloring with Copics and covered the balloons with Glossy Accents.

For the background I inked up the white cardstock with Distress Oxide Broken China and flicked some water drops and some Broken China refill ink over it.

Und auch Die Cuts kann man colorieren! Ich habe mit der Out of the Box Stanze von MFT den Karton aus hellbraunem Cardstock gestanzt und dann mit Copics schattiert.

Mit dem Pinselstrichstempel aus dem Flecken Stempelset von Stampcorner habe ich mit hellblauer Tinte einen Boden unter den Karton gestempelt und mit einem Teil eines weiteren der Stempel die Farbflecken quer über die Karte. 

Das Lied "Who let the dogs out" kennt wohl jeder - das hatte ich spontan im Kopf, als ich an der Karte gewerkelt habe. Also habe ich den Großteil dieses Titels mit dem Dymo geschrieben und das Wort dogs durch ein dog in Einzahl ersetzt. Das habe ich mit dem Oliver's Stitched ABCs Stanzenset von LawnFawn gemacht. Ich habe die Buchstaben einmal aus rotem und einmal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, leicht versetzt übereinander und dann quer über den Karton geklebt. Ich finde, der Text passt perfekt zu diesem Motiv.

And also die cuts can be colored. Here I die cut the box from light brown cardstock using the Out of the Box die by MFT, then shaded it with Copics.

I used the brush stroke stamp from another stamp set by Stampcorner to stamp a grounding element under the box with light blue ink. Then I used part of another stamp from this set to add some color splats all over the card.

I guess you all know the song "who let the dogs out" - it popped up in my mind when I was working on this card. So I wrote most parts of this title with my Dymo and replaced the word dogs with dog - because there's just one on this card. I die cut the letters once from red, once from black cardstock with the Oliver's Stitched ABCs dies by LawnFawn, glued them on top of each other just a tad bit off and than across the box. I think, this text goes perfectly with this image.

MFT Sketch Challenge #538

Die Sketch Challenge #538 geht heute auf dem MFT Blog online. Das ist die Karte, die ich als Gastdesigner für diese Challenge gemacht habe. So sieht der Sketch dazu aus:

Sketch Challenge #538 just went online over at the MFT Blog. And this is the card that I made for this challenge as a guest designer. This is the sketch:

Ich habe statt einer quadratischen eine rechteckige Karte gemacht. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich hier ein weiteres des tollen Punktepapiers aus dem Poppin' Polka Dots Paper Pad verwendet. Ich liebe ja Papier mit Punkten, da kam mir das neue Pad sehr gelegen! Diesmal habe ich ein frühlingshaftes Grün gewählt. 

Das Designpapier habe ich schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I made a rectangle card instead a square one.

For the background I used another sheet of the great dotted paper from the Poppin' Polka Dots Paper Pad. I love dotted papers so this pad was perfect for me! This time I picked a spring-ish green one from the pad.

I matted the designer's paper with black cardstock and glued it onto a white note card.

Für das Motiv habe ich mich diesmal für den tollen Spring Wreath entschieden und eine Muttertagskarte gemacht. Auch wenn es nicht expliziet draufsteht. Ich finde diesen Kranz wunderbar - ich mochte schon den Winter Wreath total gerne, klar, dass mir die Frühlingsvariante dann auch gefällt! Ausgeschnitten habe ich ihn mit der dazu passenden Stanze. Ich schneide ja wirklich gerne per Hand, aber für die Wreath Stempel kann ich die Stanzen nur wärmstens empfehlen. Hier habe ich das Pferd von hinten aufgezäumt: Ich habe erst den Kranz ausgestanzt, das ausgestanzte Teil wieder zurück in den Cardstock gelegt und darauf dann passend den Stempel aufgelegt. Durch den schmalen Streifen an etwa einem Viertel des Kranzes, ist die Gefahr, dass er nicht ganz rund auf dem Stempelblock bzw. dem Stempeltool landet, doch ein wenig größer, und dann passt die Stanze nicht exakt. Andersrum ging es aber problemlos. 

Ich habe den Kranz mit Copics in frühlingshaftem rosa und hellblau coloriert.

Die süßen Vögel sind aus dem Stempelset Tweet Memories. Auch diese Motive habe ich mit den passenden Stanzen ausgestanzt. Den Ast mit Vogelhaus habe ich hinter den Kranz geklebt, die beiden süßen Vögel dann mit 3D Tape obenauf. 

Für den Streifen im Sketch wollte ich kein andersfarbiges Designpapier - das hätte man im Inneren des Kranzes gesehen und ich hatte Angst, dass es zu sehr vom zarten Kranz ablenkt. Da fielen mir die genialen Birch Trees ein. Ich habe zwei Stück davon aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und sie so wie sie waren, also ohne sie mit Copics zu schattieren wie sonst oft, hinter den Kranz geklebt. Nun sieht es ein wenig so aus, als könnte man den Wald, in dem die Vögel wohnen, ein wenig hinter ihnen sehen.

Für den Text habe ich wieder einen Stempel aus dem Spring Wreath Stempelset benutzt. Ich habe ihn weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, in zwei Teile geschnitten und ebenfalls mit 3D Tape auf die Karte geklebt.

For the image I used the great Spring Wreath this time and made a mother's day card, even if it isn't written on the card. Mother's day here in Germany is beginning of May, so it's time to start those mother's day cards. I love this wreath - I already loved the Winter Wreath so it was clear that I'd like the spring version as well!

I've cut the wreath out with the matching die. Usually I don't mind fussy cutting around an image, but with the wreath stamps I can only recommend the matching dies! Here I worked the other way around: I first die cut the wreath, then put the cut out wreath back into the cardstock and stamped the image onto the die cut. Since there is about a quarter of the wreath made from just a small line, there's a danger of the image not ending up on the stamping block/toll perfectly round - and then the die cut won't cut it out perfectly. But with die cutting first it was super easy.

I colored the wreath with Copics in a spring-ish pink and blue color combo. 

The cute birds are from the Tweet Memories stamp set. I've also used the matching dies to cut out these. I glued the branch with the bird house behind the wreath and the two birds on top with dimensionals. 

For the vertical strip in the sketch I didn't want to use another piece of designer's paper - it would have shown inside the wreath and I was afraid it would take too much attention from the softly colored wreath. Then I remembered the great Birch Trees die set. I've die cut two of the trees from white cardstock and put those behind the wreath without adding shading with Copics like I usually do. Now it looks a bit like the woods, that those birds live in, can be ssen a bit behind them.

For the text I used another stamp from the Spring Wreath stamp set. I've white heat embossed it onto black cardstock, cut it into two pieces and used dimensionals again to glue it onto the card.

Bonbons in und auf einem Bonbon

Heute habe ich mal Bonbons in und auf einem Mega-Bonbon. So viel Süßes schon in der Beschreibung....

Today I have candies in and on top of a giant candy box. Oh well, so much candy in the first sentence...

Ich habe hier die Selbstschließende Box Beidseitig von JM-Creation benutzt und sie aus hellblauem Cardstock gestanzt. Ich hatte mir diese Box vor 2 Jahren auf der Stempelmesse Süd gekauft und bisher - Schande über mich - noch nicht benutzt. Wow, war ich überrascht, wie groß die fertige Box ist! 

Die quadratischen Mitteilteile habe ich erst mit etwas kleiner zugeschnittenem rotem Cardstock beklebt, darauf kamen dann gestitchte Quadrate. Die sind mit den Stanzen gemacht, die mit der Box kommen, und dann mit dem Sterne und Streifen Hintergrund und roter Tinte bestempelt.

Um die Box habe ich dann noch ein Stück blaues Twine gewickelt und vorne zur Schleife gebunden.

I've used a box die by JM Creation here and die cut it from light blue cardstock. I bought this die 2 years ago at a stamp fair and - shame on me - hadn't used it yet. Boy was I surprised how big the finished box is!

Onto the square shaped middle pieces I've glued some red cardstock, cut slightly smaller. Then I've put some white cardstock on top, on that I've stamped lines and stars with red ink. To cut these squares I used one of the smaller dies, that come with the box die.

Around the box I've tied some blue twine and tied it to a bow.

Ich hatte mich für Blau, Rot und Weiß als Farbkombi für meine Box entschieden. Da ich nur die mittleren Teile der Box beklebt habe, fehlte mir am äußeren Rand des Bonbons etwas. Also habe ich eine Wellenbordürenstanze aus dem Stanzenset Briefkasten Mini aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt und jeweils eine der Bordüren seitlich, da wo die Box sich öffnen lässt, innen in die Box geklebt. 

I had picked blue, red and white as the colors of my box. Since I only wanted to cover the middle pieces with patterened paper I felt like something is missing on the edges. So I used a scalloped border die from a different die set and glued it inside flaps that open up.

Und das ist die Deko auf meiner Box. 

Ich habe hier den Lutscher und das Brauseherz aus dem neuen Stempelset Lustige Süßigkeiten verwendet und mit Copics coloriert. Kennt Ihr diese marmorierten Lutscher noch? Deren Look habe ich versucht, hier nachzumachen. Außerdem sind sie mit Glossy Accents überzogen, damit sie schön glänzen. 

Unter die Süßigkeiten habe ich einen der Sternrahmen, gestanzt aus silberfarbenem Glittercardstock, gesetzt. 

Und quer über die Box kam das Wort Naschbox. Dafür habe ich eine weitere neue Stanze benutzt, die wahlweise Nasch-Box oder Nasch-Tüte stanzt. Den Bindestrich zwischen den Worten habe ich weggeschnitten, da das Wort so noch länger geworden wäre. Ich habe die Worte aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, auf roten Cardstock geklebt und per Hand darumherum geschnitten um eine Mattung zu erhalten. Dann habe ich das Wort auf die Box geklebt - übrigens genau auf ein weiteres, rot coloriertes Bonbon, das ich zuvor dort aufgeklebt hatte. Aber der Text gefiel mir dort besser. Unter dem H kann man das Bonbon noch ein wenig sehen... ;)

And this is the decorations I've put onto my box.

I've stamped two suckers and a hearshaped candy and colored them with my Copics. Do you remember those marble like looking suckers? These are what I tried to turn mine into. They are also covered with Glossy Accents for a nice shine.

Under the candies I've glued a star shaped frame, die cut from silver glitter cardstock.

And across the box I've glued the word box of sweets. I've die cut it from white cardstock, glued it onto red cardstock and hand cut around the word to end up with a red matting. Then I've glued it on top of my box. By the way, directly onto another, red colored candy that I had glued onto the box before. But I liked the word there better. But under the H you can still see part of the candy.... ;)

Vor kurzem habe ich Euch ja schon mal eine Karte mit den süßen Ostergnomen aus dem Spring Gnomes Stempelset von MFT gezeigt. Aber die sind viel zu schade, um nach Ostern für ein Jahr in den Schrank zu wandern. Und deswegen zeige ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog eine weitere Karte mit diesem Set.

A little ago I shared a card using the cute easter gnomes from the Spring Gnomes stamp set by MFT. But they are way too cute to be unused until easter next year. And so I'm sharing another card using this set over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today.

 

 Hier habe ich auf ein Stück weißen Cardstock mit der Cloud Stencil und der Rolling Clouds Stencil von MFT und Distress Oxide Broken China Wolken aufgewischt. Den Cardstock habe ich schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Here I used the Cloud stencil and the Rolling Clouds stencil by MFT and Distress Oxide Broken China to cover a piece of white cardstock with clouds. Then I matted the cardstock black and glued it onto a white note card.

Unten auf den Cardstock habe ich einen Streifen kraftfarbenen Cardstock geklebt. Den habe ich zuvor mit Distress Ink Walnut Stain bespritzt. Außerdem habe ich kleine Hügel hineingestanzt. Dafür habe ich die Sandy Beach Stanzen von LawnFawn benutzt.

In die Hügel habe ich viele Karotten gesteckt. Die sind, ebenso wie der Gnom und der Text, aus dem Spring Gnomes Stempelset von MFT. 

Mitten in das Karottenbeet habe ich dann den süßen Gnom gesetzt. Er hat gerade eine Karotte frisch geerntet - das Loch, in dem die Karotte wuchs, habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock einfach per Hand geschnitten.

Coloriert habe ich alle Motive mit Copics.

Hinter den Gnom kam dann noch das neue Garden Gate von MFT. Ich habe es aus hellgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics ein wenig schattiert.

To the bottom of the backround I've glued a strip of craft colored cardstock. Before glueing it down I splattered some Distress Ink Walnut Stain onto it. I also die cut some small hills into it, using the Sandy Beach dies by LawnFawn.

Into the hills I've put lots of carrots. Those are from the Srping Gnomes stamp set, as are the gnome and the text.

In the middle of all those carrots I've put this cute gnome. He just pulled himself a fresh carrot - the black hole that is left after he pulled the carrot is simply hand cut from black cardstock.

All images are colored with Copics.

Behind the gnome I've put up the new Garden Gate by MFT. I've die cut it from light grey cardstock and added some shading with my Copics.

 

 Oben auf den Wolkenhimmel habe ich noch den Text aufgestempelt. Der lautet auch im Original "I carrot about you so much". Ich habe das Wort Carrot einfach nicht mit abgestempelt, sondern durch eine gestempelte Karotte, ebenfalls aus dem Spring Gnomes Stempelset, ersetzt. So wirkt das Wortspiel noch viel besser, finde ich.

Onto the cloudy sky I added my sentiment. The stamp stamps a "I carrot about you so much" text. I replaced the word carrot with a stamped carrot, also from the Spring Gnomes stamp set. I think this makes this pun even funnier.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 17. April 2021

Heute gibt es wieder eine neue Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins. Und die Karte, die wir Euch heute zeigen, hat es sprichwörtlich in sich.

Hello everyone!

Today we are having a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins. And the card that we're sharing with you today is mainly decorated on the inside.

Das Äußere der Karte ist eher schlicht.

Meine Karte habe ich aus blauem Cardstock gewerkelt. 

Für den Aufleger habe ich den Sunburst Backdrop von LawnFawn aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade grob gewischt und dann Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Wasser und goldene Schimmer-Wasserfarbe darübergespritzt.

The outside of the card is pretty simple.

I made my card from blue cardstock.

To decorate the front I've die cut the Sunburst Backdrop by LawnFawn from white cardstock, inked it up with Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade and then added drops of water, Distress Ink Mustard Seed and golden shimmer water color.

Den Kreis in der Mitte der Karte habe ich mit 3 Tape wieder an seinen Platz geklebt. Darauf kam ein in blau und lila coloriertes Happy aus dem Scripty Bubbles Sentiments Stempelset von LawnFawn.

Den Rest des Textes habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte mit Stempeln aus dem Stempelset Offsest Sayings Birthdays auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt, schwarz gemattet und um das Happy herum aufgeklebt.

Die beiden Wolken-Outlines waren vom Dekorieren der Innenseiten der Karte noch auf meinem Schreibtisch, also habe ich sie hier auch mit aufgeklebt.

Und dann habe ich viele klare, irisirend-gelbe und goldene Pailetten auf der Front verteilt.

I've glued the circle in the center back in place with dimensionals. On top I've glued a happy from the Scripty Bubbles Sentiments stamp set by LawnFawn, colored in blue and purple.

The rest of the saying from the Offset Sayings Birthdays stamp set is stamped with black ink onto white cardstock, matted black and glued around the happy.

I had those two ouline clouds left over from decorating the inside of this card so I added them to the front as well.

And then I glued down quite a lot of clear, iridescent yellow and golden sequins.

Öffnet man die Karte, zeigt sich eine Szene mit tollem Pop-Up Element.

Den Teil mit dem Pop-Up habe ich aus hellblauem Cardstock gewerkelt, so dass ich etwas Unterschied zu dem Blau, das man durch die Fenster im Pop-Up Element sieht, erhalte. 

Den hellgrünen Hügel habe ich so aufgeklebt, dass er im Hintergrund durch das Fenster zu sehen ist, das Gras dann im vorderen Bereich. 

Dann habe ich Wolken und Bäume aufgeklebt, so dass sich eine Landschaft ergibt.

When you open the card you see a great scene with a Pop-Up element.

I made the Pop-Up part from light blue cardstock so I had some contrast to the blue that you can see through the Pop-Up window.

The light green hill is glued to the background so it can be seen through the window, the grass is glued to the Pop-Up element.

Then I added some clouds and trees to create a landscape.

Sorry, die Karte war ein wenig kompliziert zu fotografieren. Aber ich wollte Euch unbedingt die süßen Mäuse und schillernden Seifenblasen, die eine Maus auf der linken Seite der Karte bläst, zeigen. Endlich habe ich das Bubbles of Joy Stempelset von LawnFawn eingeweiht! Von denen sind übrigens auch alle Stanzen, die ich für die Hügel, Grass, Bäume und Wolken verwendet habe.

Die Seifenblasen habe ich schön schillernd coloriert und dick mit Glossy Accents bezogen. Außerdem habe ich nur die Blasen, nicht aber die Mäuse, mit grauer Tinte statt mit schwarzer gestempelt. Dadruch wirken sie von Haus aus transparenter.

Auf der rechten Seite der Karte habe ich dann auch noch meinen Text untergebracht. Der war anders geplant, aber nach dem Dekorieren habe ich nur noch dort einen Platz gefunden, bei dem kein Teil des Textes beim Schließen der Karte geknickt wird.

 

Sorry, this card was pretty hard to take pictures of. But of course I wanted to show you the cute mice and the colorful soap bubbles, that another mouse on the left of the card is blowing.

Finally I inked up the Bubbles of Joy stamp set by LawnFawn! By the way, also all the dies I used to make the hill, the grass border, the trees and clouds, are by LawnFawn. 

I colored the bubbles in different rainbow colors and covered them with a thick layer of Glossy Accents for some shine. I also used grey ink instead of black to stamp the bubbles, and just the bubbles, not the mice. That makes them look more transparent.

On the right side of the card there was room for my text. I had that planned differently, but after decorating the card this was the only place I found where the saying fit without being bended/folded when the card is closed.

 

 Und hier habe ich noch ein letztes Bild für Euch, auf dem Ihr auch die linke Seite der Karte besser sehen könnt. Außerdem sieht man hier durch das schmälere der beiden Fenster im Pop-Up Element und die weiteren Bäume dahinter.

And here I have one last picture that also shows the left side of the card. And you can also see through the narrower of the two windows of the Pop-Up element and the trees I put behind it.

Wertvoll

Es gibt Menschen, für die würde man alles tun. Einfach, weil man sie als so wertvoll erachtet. Und das sollte man sie hin und wieder wissen lassen. Zum Beispiel mit so einer Karte, die ich heute auf dem Stampcorner-Blog zeige.

There are people in our lives that we would do anything for. Just because they are so precious. And every now and then you should let them know it. A card is a great way to do that - like this one, that I'm sharing over at the Stampcorner Blog today. 

Hier habe ich auf ein Stück weißen Cardstock die Strahlen mit der Sunrise Radiating Rays Stencil von MFT sowie Distress Oxide Kitsch Flamingo und Spun Sugar aufgewischt. Darunter habe ich mit Hickory Smoke einen Boden angedeutet. 

Der tolle Text auf der Karte ist ein neuer Mini von Stampcorner. Und der ist super von der Größe her. Es passt ein Motiv auf die Karte, trotzdem ist der Text groß genug, um sofort ins Auge zu fallen. 

Den Cardstock habe ich dann schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Here I put some rays onto a piece of white cardstock, using the Sunrise Radiating Rays stencil by MFT and Distress Oxide Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar. The ground was added with Hickory Smoke.

And then I used the great text stamp - a new mini by Stampcorner. It means "for me you are worth it". It has a great size - you can still add a bigger image but the saying will catch your eye immediately.

I've matted the background with black cardstock and glued it onto a white note card.

Für die vielen Briefe und Pakete, die voll sind mit Herzen und Liebe, habe ich die Stempelsets Special Delivery und Special Delivery Box Add-On von LawnFawn benutzt. Ich habe die Szene durch Maskieren zusammengesetzt und mit Copics coloriert. Mit einem weißen Gelpen habe ich die Highlights hinzugefügt.

Die Herzen auf der Karte sind zudem mit Glossy Accents überzogen, ebenso das Klebeband auf den beiden noch geschlossenen Paketen.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar kleine Herz-Pailetten zwischen die größeren gestempelten geklebt.

For the many letters and boxes that are full of love and hearts I used the stamp sets Special Delivery and Special Delivery Box Add-On by LawnFawn. I did some masking to put the scene together and colored it with Copics.For the highlights I used a white gelpen.

The hearts on the card are all covered with a layer of Glossy Accents. Also the tape on the still closed boxes.

In the end I glued a few small heart shaped sequins in between the bigger stamped ones.

MFT Sketch Challenge #537

Heutet startet die nächste Sketch Challenge bei MFT, für die ich wieder gastdesignen durfte. Und das ist, wie ich den Sketch interpretiert habe. So sieht er aus:

Today sketch challenge #537 is starting over at the MFT Blog and I joined the team as a guest again for this challenge. This is how I interpreted the sketch. This is the sketch for this challenge:

Ich habe hier ein Stück weißen Cardstock mit goldener Schimmerwasserfarbe bespritzt, da mir so viel weißer Hintergrund zu fad gewesen wäre. Den Cardstock habe ich dann schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Quer über den Cardstock habe ich einen gelb-weiß gestreiften Streifen Designpapier aus dem neuen Stripe Splash Paper Pad geklebt und auch den zuvor mit schwarzem Cardstock gemattet.

Here I covered a piece of white cardstock with some speckles of golden shimmer water color since without them the background would only have been a plain white and I didn't like that. Then I matted the cardstock black and glued it onto a white note card.

Across my card I've glued a strip of yellow and white striped paper from the new Stripe Splash paper pad and matted that with black cardstock as well.

 

 

Die beiden süßen Katzen, die sich so freuen sich zu sehen, sind aus dem neuen Stempelset von Stacey Yakula: Hugs Make Everything Better. Ich habe die beiden mit Copics coloriert und dann mit der Stanze aus dem zum Stempelset passenden Stanzenset ausgestanzt. Das selbe habe ich auch mit dem Baumstumpf dahinter, ebenfalls aus diesem Stempelset, getan. 

Und bei so viel Freude dürfen natürlich Herzen nicht fehlen! Auf der rechten Seite der Karte, wo sich im Sketch ein Oval befindet, habe ich ein großes Strahlenherz aufgeklebt. Dafür habe ich die einzelnen Bereiche des Herzes mit der Heart Rays Stanze aus dem Poppin' Polka Dots Papier ausgestanzt und dafür nur die Gelb-, Orange- und Rottöne verwendet. Die schwarze Mattung unter dem Herz habe ich dann per Hand passend zugeschnitten. 

Ich liebe die Love Speech Bubbles Stanzen, die diese tollen Sprechblasen mit Herzen darin ausstanzen! Ich habe zwei der vier für meine Karte verwendet, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock, und das Herz, das aus den Blasen gestanzt wird, gleich als Deko auf der Karte benutzt. In den Sprechblasen selbst habe ich die Herzen aus dem roten Punktepapier gestanzt und ersetzt.

Der Text ist aus dem Stempelset Spring Songbird, das ebenfalls aus dem April Release ist. Ich habe ihn mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und auf die Karte geklebt. Alle Elemente der Karte sind übrigens mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt, damit sie etwas mehr Tiefe erhält.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar goldene Glitzersteine auf der Karte verteilt, ein wenig Glitzer musste einfach sein und sie passten super zu den goldenen Wasserfarbenpunkten.

Those adorable two cats, that are so excited to meet each other, are from the new stamp set by Stacey Yakula: Hugs Make Everything Better. I colored those two cuties with Copics and then cut them out using the matching die set. I did the same with the tree trunk, that comes in this stamp set also, behind them. 

And when there's so much joy and love on a card hearts can not be not used! On the right side of my card, where there is an oval drawn in the sketch, I glued down a big heart made of rays. I die cut the individual strips of the heart from the Poppin' Polka Dots paper with the Heart Rays die and only used the reds, oranges and yellows from the pad. The black matting behind it is hand cut. 

I totally love the Love Speech Bubbles die set that cut those beautiful speech bubbles with a heart in the center. I used two of the four on this card, die cut from black cardsdtock, and used the cut out hearts as embellishments. To fill the empty spaces inside the speech blubbles I've die cut them again from the red paper with the white dots and glued those into the black bubbles. 

The saying on this card is from the Spring Songbird stamp set, that's also part of the april release. I white heat embossed it onto a strip of black cardstock and glued it onto the card. All the elements on this card are glued down with dimensionals to add more depth to the card.

To finish this card I added a few golden rhinestones. I just had to add a bit of glitter and those went perfectly with the dots of golden shimmer watercolor paint.

Ihr kennt sicher den Spruch "im April macht das Wetter, was es will". Naja, und das stimmt ja auch. Und so haben mich Wetter und der Spruch zu dieser interaktiven Karte inspiriert.

Here we have a saying that goes "in april the weather does whatever it wants", meaning that in april everything from snow over rain and sun is possible, even within minutes. Well, and when I look out of the window I have to agree. So the look out of my window and this saying inspired me to make this interactive card

 

 

 Auch auf dieser Karte habe ich wieder einige April-Neuheiten von JM-Creation verwendet.

Basis für die Karte war ein hellblauer Kartenrohling. 

Aus grauem Cardstock habe ich zwei Stücke Cardstock gesschnitten, aus denen ich dann mit der Wolkenstanze am oberen Rand eine Wolkenwand gemacht habe. An der hinteren Wolke habe ich mit einem Brad den Kreis aus Folie angebracht, so musste ich es nicht durch die Vorderseite der Karte stecken. Für den Kreis habe ich den größten der Stitched Kreise verwendet.

Aus der rechten Seite der Karte habe ich aus allen drei Lagen - also beide Wolken und Kartenfront - mit dem kleinsten der Stitched Kreise eine Griffmulde ausgestanzt, so dass man den Folienkreis gut drehen kann. 

Auf die große Wolkenwand im Vordergrund habe ich das Wort April, gestanzt in Regenbogenfarben mit dem ABC Groß, aufgeklebt und darunter ein gestempeltes Zauber gesetzt. Auch wenn mich diese schnellen Wetterwechsel manchmal nerven, ein Zauber ist es doch irgendwie. Und weil ein Regenbogen 7 Farben hat, das Wort April aber nur 5 Buchstaben, habe ich die sechste Farbe für das Wort Zauber benutzt und noch ein paar orangefarbene Enamel Accents auf die Karte aufgebracht. So sind auch hier alle Farben des Regenbogens vertreten.

Oben auf den Folienkreis habe ich die freundliche Wolke und Regentropfen geklebt. Der Wolke habe ich mich Copics ein paar hellgraue Schatten sowie rosafarbene Bäckchen verpasst.

Damit man den Kreis problemlos drehen kann und sich die Motive nicht an den Wolken darüber spießen können, habe ich diese obere Wolkenlage mit 3D Tape auf der Karte befestigt.

Also on this card I've used a few of the items from the april release by JM Creation.

As the base I've used a light blue note card.

I've cut two pieces out of grey cardstock and used a cloud border die to turn them into cloud banks. I attached a circle cut from acetate to the back cloud. This way I didn't have to put it through the front of my card. 

I've die cut a small half circle from the right side of my card, cutting it through all three layers - the two clouds and the card front - to make turning the wheel/circle more easy.

Onto the large cloud bank in the front I've glued the word april, die cutting it with an alphabet die set from cardstock in rainbow colors, and added a stamped "magic" under the die cut letters. Even if those quick weather changes can drive me crazy, they still are kind of magical. And since a rainbow has 7 colors, the word april is only made of 5 letters, I used the 6th color to stamp the word magic and added a few orange Enamel Accents to the card so now all 7 colors of the rainbow are used on the bottom of the card.

 Onto the foil circle I've glued a friendly cloud and a few raindrops. I used my Copics to add a bit of a light grey and some rosy cheeks to my cloud.

To make turning the circle easier and to avoid the images on the circle getting stuck behind the cloud edge I used dimensionals to glue the top cloud bank to my card.

 

 Dreht man am Folienkreis, ändert sich auch auf meiner Karte das Wetter. 

Nach dem Regen scheint die Sonne. Auch die habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Der Mund ist eine extra Stanze, den ich aus der Sonne ausgestanzt und schwarz hinterlegt habe. Und auch die Sonnenbrille ist in diesem Set enthalten. Ich habe sie aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und auf die Sonne aufgeklebt.

When you turn the acetate wheel the weather on my card changes. 

After the rain there's sunshine. Also the sun was die cut from white cardstock and colored with Copics. The mouth is an extra die that I've die cut from the sun and put some black cardstock behind the cut out. The sunglasses are also included in this set. I've die cut it from black cardstock and glued it onto the sun.

UInd was ergeben Regen und Sonnenschein? Richtig, einen Regenbogen! Auch den gibt es auf meiner Karte.

Den Regenbogen habe ich wieder aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert.

 

And what happens when there's rain and sun at the same time? Right, there'll be a rainbow! And also this can be found on my card.

The rainbow is again die cut from white cardstock and colored with my Copics. 

 

Zum Schluss habe ich noch einen Rahmen mit einem schwarzen Fineliner aufgemalt und, weil der Himmel ein wenig fad aussah, noch ein paar weiße Punkte mit einem Gelmarker aufgemalt. Ob man das jetzt als Schnee oder Sterne am Tage sehen mag, lasse ich mal offen... ;)

 

In the end I drew a frame around my card using a black fineliner and, since the sky looked a bit boring, added some white dots with a gel marker. Well, if you think it's snow or stars during the day that's up to everyone's imagination.... ;)

 

MFT Release Day

Nicht nur für die Sketch-Challenges bei MFT darf ich diesen Monat gastdesignen, nein, auch am heutigen Release-Event auf dem MFT Blog darf ich dabei sein. Und das ist die Karte, die ich dafür gemacht habe. Und die könnte ein Foto aus meiner Kindheit sein. 

 

Hello everyone!

Not only am I guestdesigning for the MFT sketch challenges this month, no, I'm also joining their release post over at the MFT Blog as a friend today. And this is the card I made for this event. It could also be a photo taken in my childhood.

 

 

Wir wohnten in einer ruhigen Sackgasse mit großem Wendehammer, runderhum viele Kinder und meine beste Freundin wohnte nur ein paar Häuser weiter. Nach der Schule mussten Hausaufgaben gemacht werden, dann waren wir frei, die Straßen und den nahenWald unsicher zu machen. Ich weiß nicht, ob sie einfach nur sorgfältiger gearbeitet hat - und da ich sie kenne, denke ich, das war nicht der Fall - oder ob ich einfach schneller war. Auf jeden Fall war ich meist vor meiner Freundin mit den Hausaufgaben fertig. Und dann saß ich auf der Treppe vor ihrem Haus und wartete darauf, dass sie endlich raus kam. Oft hat mir dabei ihre Katze Gesellschaft geleistet. Und genau diese Szene kann man auf meiner Karte sehen. Und ja, ich hatte damals auch oft solche Zöpfe!

We lived in a quiet culle de sack with a great free space at its end. Around us were lots of other kids and my best friend lived only a few houses away. After school we had to do our homeworks and then we were free to roam the streets and nearby woods. I don't know if she just put more effort into her work - and knowing here I don't think that was the case - or if I just worked quicker. But most days I had my homework finished before she did. And so I sat on the stairs of her house, waiting for her to finally come out. Often her cat joined me. And that's exactly the scene I put onto this card. Well, and yes, I was wearing those braids often back then!

Hier habe ich eine One-Layer-Card gemacht. Alle Motive habe ich durch Maskieren zusammengestempelt. Dann habe ich den oberen Teil des Cardstocks abgedeckt und den untersten Bereich mit Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke eingefärbt. Für die Steinmauer, die den Sockel meines Hauses bildet, habe ich die English Brick Wall Stencil verwendet und zwei Steinreihen mit Distress Oxide Pumice Stone aufgewischt. Mit derselben Farbe habe ich dann auch die Mauersteine gewischt, die ich auf der Hausmauer verteilt habe, diesmal mit der Small Brick Wall Stencil. 

Von außen her habe ich den Cardstock dann noch mit W-Ton Copics ein wenig nach innen hin schattiert.

Der Text ist aus dem neuen Sittin' Pretty Stempelset von Birdie Brown - wie übrigens fast alle Motive auf dieser Karte. Ich habe ihn mit weißem Embossingpulver auf einen Streifen schwarzen Cardstock aufembosst und den Streifen dann im unteren Bereich quer über die Karte geklebt.

Mit dem blauen Designpapier mit weißen Punkten aus dem Poppin' Polka Dots Paper Pad habe ich meine Szene dann gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Here I made a one layer card. I put the scene together doing lots of masking. Then I covered the top part of my cardstock and colored the bottom of it with Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke. For the two rows of brick s, that builds the dado of my house, I used the English Brick Wall Stencil and Distress Oxide Pumice Stone. With the same color I added a few bricks to the wall, this time using the Small Brick Wall stencil.

I wanted to shade my whole house front on the outer edges and did this with some W-tone Copics.

The saying is from the new Sittin' Pretty stamp set by Birdie Brown - as are nearly all the images I used on this card. I white heat embossed the text onto a strip of black cardstock and glued it across the card.

To mat my cardstock I used a blue sheet with white dots from the Poppin' Polka Dots paper pad and then glued both layers onto a white note card.

Und hier könnt Ihr mich - äh, meine Szene endlich besser sehen. 

Die Motive aus dem Stempelset sind mal wieder allerliebst und lassen sich prima zu verschiedenen Szenen zusammensetzen. Im Set sind nämlich noch viel mehr Stempel enthalten.

Ich habe mich hier für die Tür als Mittelpunkt der Karte entschieden, und auf die Treppen kam natürlich das süße Mädel. Neben der Treppe steht ein Blumentopf, auf dem Briefkasten rechts der Tür und der Lampe links davon sitzt jeweils ein kleiner Vogel. Die leisten dem Mädel ein wenig Gesellschaft. Das tut auch die Katze - die ist aus dem Our Story Stempelset. Und für die Deko an der Tür habe ich einen Teil des ebenfalls neuen Tweet Memories Stempelsets verwendet. Eigentlich hält ein Vogel die beiden Herzen im Schnabel, der war aber viel zu groß für meine Szene und so habe ich nur die Herzen mit den Schnüren abgestempelt. 

Alle Motive habe ich mit Copics coloriert. Für die Highlights kam ein weißer Gelstift zum Einsatz.

The images from this stamp set are all so adorable and are perfect to put together different scenes. There are a lot more images in this set.

I picked the door as the center piece of my card and sat the waiting girl on the stairs. Next to the staris there's a pot of blooming flowers, on top of the mail box on the right of the door and the lamp on its right there's a little bird each. They are joining the girl so she doesn't have to wait alone. The cat does the same - this stamp is from the Our Story stamp set. And for the decorations on the door I used part of a stamp from another new stamp set: Tweet Memories. Originally a bird is holding those hearts in his beak, but the bird was way too big for my scene and so I only stamped the hearts with the strings.

To color the images I used Copics and a white gel pen for some highlights.
