Letzte Woche habe ich noch getönt, dass mir noch so gar nicht nach Weihnachtskarten-Basteln ist. Und dann das... Aber Frauen sind ja bekannt dafür, dass sie ihre Meinung jederzeit ändern können und dürfen. Und so zeige ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog meine allererste Weihnachtskarte für dieses Jahr.

Last week I wrote how I am so not ready for making christmas cards yet. And now this... Well, women are know for changing their minds, and I think we have all rights to do it! And so I'm sharing my very first christmas card of 2021 today at the Stamping-Fairies Blog.
Naja, mit den Dinos ist es jetzt nicht unbedingt eine klassische Weihnachtskarte, aber ich finde die Motive so süß. Eine Freundin von mir offenbar auch - ich habe die Karte während eines Stempeltreffens gemacht und sie hat sie gleich als die Weihnachtskarte auserkoren, die sie dieses Jahr von mir bekommen möchte.
Well, with those Dinos this might not be the typical christmas card, but I just love these images. And it seems like I'm not the only one - I made this card during a crafting retreat with friends and one of the already claimed this to be her christmas card from me this year.
Den Himmel habe ich mit Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch und Black Soot gewischt. Anschließend habe ich ein paar Wassertropfen sowie silberne Shimmer-Wasserfarbe darüber gespritzt.
Wo Dinos sind, darf meiner Meinung nach auch ein Vulkan nicht fehlen. Der hier ist mit dem Volcano Stanzenset von MFT gemacht. Zur Feier des Tages spuckt er aber keine Lava, sondern goldenen Glitzer. Den habe ich mit goldenem Glitzer-Embossinpulver auf die weiß gestanzte Lava oben am Vulkan aufembosst und auch auf die Glitzerstreifen. Ich wollte, dass die Lava eher wie ein Freudenfeuer aussieht, daher habe ich hier Stempel aus dem Stempelset Fireworks benutzt.
Am Fuße des Vulkans befinden sich ein paar verschneite Tannenbäume aus dem Stempelset Beast Friends, coloriert sind sie mit Copics.
I inked up the sky with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot. Then I added a few drops of water and some speckles of silver metallic watercolor.
Where there are dinos, there has to be a vulcano, in my opinion. This one was made using the Volcano die set by MFT. But since it's christmas, there's not lava but glitter coming out of it. I added some golden glitter embossing powder onto the lava on top of the volcano, die cut from white cardstock. And I wanted to look the lava erupting into the air look more like fireworks. So I used some stamps from the Fireworks stamp set here and also embossed those with the golden glitter embossing powder.
At the bottom of the volcano there are a few snow covered trees from the Beast Friends stamp set, colored with Copics.
In meiner Welt darf auch Schnee an Weihnachten nicht fehlen. Also habe ich zwei Lagen Schnee, gestanzt mit den Stitched Hills aus weißem Cardstock, vor den Vulkan geklebt.
Und vorne auf der Karte befinden sich die beiden Dinos mit ihrem Weihnachtsbaum. Ich weiß, ich habe viel Grün für die Coloration verwendet, aber ich mag die Kombo aus grün und blau sehr gerne, und mit Glitzer kombiniert ist die dann auch weihnachtstauglich.
Der Tannenbaum ist aus dem Stempelset Holiday Penguins. Die Perlenkette habe ich mit einem goldenen Gelpen nachgetupft, die Kugeln sind türkisfarben coloriert.
In die Dinos aus dem Stempelset Dino-Mite Christmas war ich sofort verliebt. Die kleinen Mützen finde ich einfach klasse! Und im Set sind noch viel mehr davon, aber ich hatte nur Platz für diese beiden.
Den Text aus dem Stempelset Itty Bitty Holiday habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte direkt auf den Schnee zwischen den beiden Dinos gestempelt.
In my world there has to be snow at christmas. So I added two layers of it, die cut from white cardstock with the Stitched Hills dies.
And at the bottom of the card there are those two dinos with their christmas tree. I know, I used lots of greens for my coloring, but I love the color combo of green and blue. And combined with silver I think it's also a great combo for christmas cards.
The christmas tree is from the Holiday Penguins stamp set. I used a golden gel pen to redo the pearls in the tree and colored the baubles turquoise.
I immediately fell in love with the dinos from the Dino-Mite Christmas stamp set. Those tiny hats on their heads are just too cute! There are even more of them in the set but I only had room for those two.
The text from the Itty Bitty Holiday stamp set is stamped with black ink directly onto the snow between the two dinos.
