Ihr wundert Euch über den Posttitel? Nun ja, ich habe ja bereits seit Monaten immer einmal im Monat eine Karte mit "alten" Stempeln und Stanzen gezeigt. Da ich vorhabe, das weiterhin zu tun, dachte ich, das Kind braucht mal einen Namen. Und deswegen heißen diese Posts bei mir ab sofort "Golden Oldies". Eine weitere solche Karte zeige ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog. Und weil es nur noch knapp einen Monat ist, in dem man all die tollen Halloween-Produkte verwenden kann, habe ich eine weitere Halloweenkarte im Gepäck.

You're wondering about the post title? Well, since months I am sharing one card each month using "old" stamps and dies. Since I plan to contintue that I felt like this series needed a name. And so these posts from now on are called "Golden Oldies". Over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog I am sharing another card of this series today. And since there's not even a whole month left to use all those great Halloween products, I have made another Halloween card.
Hier habe ich das Fab-BOO-Lous Friends Stempelset von MFT hervorgeholt. Eigentlich hatte ich die Karte ganz anders geplant, aber dann... Manchmal muss man unter dem Basteln komplett andere Wege gehen.
Here I brought out the Fab-BOO-Lous Friends stamp set by MFT. I had planned this card completly different, but then... Sometimes you have to change things in the making.
Für den Hintergrund habe ich den Ghoulish Greetings Background verwendet und ihn mit Versafine Clair Nocturne auf leuchtend-grünen Cardstock gestempelt. Eigentlich embosse ich diese Text-Hintergründe super gerne, aber hier hat es mir gestempelt besser gefallen.
An der Stelle, an der später das obere Ende meines Designpapierstreifens enden sollte, habe ich quer den Spooky Fence aufgeklebt. Den habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt.
Auf den Hintergrund habe ich zwei Cloud Covers, gestanzt aus weißem Cardstock, aufgeklebt und darüber einen Kreis aus Vellum gelegt. Der ist nur unterhalb des Designpapierstreifens sowie unter den beiden hinteren Motive festgeklebt, so kann man den Kleber gut verstecken.
Die süßen Motive sind alle mit Copics coloriert. Ich habe die beiden hinteren direkt auf den Cardstock, die vorderen drei mit 3D Tape auf der Karte befestigt. Auf die Haare und Schleife des Vampirs habe ich noch Nuvo Embossingpulver Glitter Noir aufgetragen. So sieht er gleich noch schicker aus.
Ein neues Stempelset ist dann doch mit auf die Karte gehüpft: die kleinen Textstreifen sind mit dem Itty Bitty Boss Stempelset gemacht. Ich habe die Texte mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt.
For the background I used the Ghoulish Greetings Background and stamped it onto some bright green cardstock with Versafine Clair Nocturne. I love to emboss those text backgrounds but in this case I liked it stamped better.
On the place where I wanted the top edge of my patterned paper strip I glued down a fence, made with the Spooky Fence die and black cardstock.
Onto the background I glued down two of the Cloud Covers, die cut from white cardstock, and then put a circle cut from Vellum on top. I only put glue onto the area that's hidden from the patterned paper and underneath the two creatures in the back. That way I could hide the glue that would be visible through the Vellum.
The cute images are all colored with Copics. I glued the two in the back directly onto the Vellum, for the three in the front I used dimensionals. Onto the hair and bow of the little vampire I added some Nuvo Embossing Powder Glitter Noir - that makes him look even more fancy.
And then one new stamp set made it onto the card: I used the Itty Bitty Boss stamp set for the little sentiment strips. I white heat embossed the texts onto black cardstock, cut them out and glued them onto the card.
Den unteren Bereich des grünen Cardstocks habe ich, wie gesagt, mit einem Streifen Designpapier überdeckt. Das Papier ist aus dem alten Halloween-Paperpad Laboratoire von Ideology/Tim Holtz. Ich bin ja so ein Papiersammler, jetzt musste endlich mal was davon verwendet werden. Und das Chevron-Muster hat mir hier prima gefallen.
Darauf kam das Wort Halloween. Das ist mit dem Alphanumeric Shadow Lowercase Alphabet von Sizzix gemacht, ich habe nur die inneren Buchstaben ohne den Schatten benutzt. Die Buchstaben habe ich einmal aus grünem Glittercardstock und einmal aus normalem orangefarbenen Cardstock gestanzt und die grünen Buchstaben mit den orangenen hinterlegt, so dass davon nur ein kleiner Rand sichtbar blieb. So heben sich die Buchstaben gut genug vom Designpapier ab.
Das kleine Wort happy habe ich mit einem Stanzenset von Recollections gestanzt - es war das einzige, das von der Größe her passte. Und ich wollte nicht noch einen schwarzen Cardstockstreifen mit aufembosstem Wort verwenden.
Zum Schluss habe ich meine Szene schwarz gemattet, auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt und ein paar schwarze Pailetten auf der Karte verteilt.
As mentioned did I cover the lower area of the green cardstock with some patterned paper. This one's from a quite old Halloween paper pad by Ideology/Tim Holtz called Laboratoire. I'm a paper hoarder and it's about time to use some of it up! And I liked the black and white chevron pattern for this card.
On top I glued the word halloween. I've die cut the letters with the Alphanumeric Shadow Lowercase alphabet by Sizzix, but only used the inner parts of the letters. I've cut them once from green glitter cardstock and once from regular orange cardstock, then shaded the glittery letters with the orange cardstock. That gives enough contrast to the patterned paper.
I used a die by Recollections to die cut the word happy - it was the only one I had that was small enough. And I didn't want to add another cardstock strip with a text embossed onto it.
In the end I matted my scene black, glued it onto a white note card and added a few black sequins as the finishing touch.
