13 Days of Craftoween Teil 3

Im heutigen Post zeige ich Euch meine Werke mit den restlichen Stanzen aus der 13 Days of Craftoween Box von Spellbinders.

In today's Post I am sharing with you the creations I made with the dies from the 13 Days of Craftoween Box by Spellbinders that I hadn't used so far.

 

 Zuerst einmal hole ich Tag 3 nach. Eigentlich war die Flasche für meinen Geschmack zu groß für die Mini-Karten bzw. die Artist Trading Card Stanze von MamaElephant. Aber je länger ich die Kärtchen gemacht habe, desto mehr fand ich, dass es doch irgendwie passen muss. Und auch wenn die Flasche recht viel der Karte verdeckt, es hat geklappt.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus hellgrünem Cardstock, gewischt mit Distress Ink Peeled Paint und Forest Moss. Dann habe ich hellgoldene Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt. 

Die Flasche ist aus braunem, der Korken aus hellbraunem und das Label aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt. Alle Teile sind wieder mit Polychromos coloriert. Und auch wenn ich langsam wirklich versucht war, meine Copics wieder ins Spiel zu bringen, habe ich für alle Kärtchen Polychromos benutzt, damit alles zusammenpasst. 

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich auf Ama.on klare holographische Klebefolie mit veschiedenen Mustern erstanden.  Ein Stück dieser Folie mit Sternchendruck habe ich verwendet und eine Lage auf die Flasche geklebt. So ist die Schattierung darunter noch sichtbar, aber die Flasche hat ein tolles Muster und sieht aus wie eine richtige Flasche voll Zauberelixier. 

Weil die Flasche so groß war, musste ich meinen Text auf ein extra Stück schwarzen Cardstock embossen, ausschneiden und quer über den unteren Teil der Flasche aufkleben. 

 

First I will catch up and show you the die from day 3. Originally I thought it was too tall for those mini cards/Artist Trading Card die cut by MamaElephant. But the more of these cards I made the more I thought I could make that work. And even if the bottle covers quite a lot of the card, it did. 

The background is made from light green cardstock that I inked with Distress Ink Peeled Paint and Forest Moss, then added splatters of light gold metallic watercolor.

The bottle I cut from brown, the cork from light brown and the label from green cardstock. Again I shaded all parts with Polychromos. The more of these cards I made the more I was tempted to bring out my Copics. But I resisted to make all cards go together.

A little ago I bought some clear holographic self adhesive foil with different patterns on Ama.on. I cut the bottle again from a piece of these foils with a star pattern and glued it onto the bottle. You can still see the shading through the foil but the bottle has a great mystic shine and looks like a real bottle full of witch's brew/poison.

Since the bottle was that tall I had to heat emboss my text onto an extra piece of black cardstock, cut it out and glued it across the bottom of the bottle.

 

 Den Rahmen habe ich hier aus hell-goldenem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt, als Deko habe ich einige schwarze Glitzersteine aufgeklebt. Und um den Flaschenhals habe ich noch etwas braunes Twine gewickelt und vorne zum Knoten gebunden.

 

The frame I cut from light gold mirror cardstock, as decoration I added some black rhinestones. Around the top of the bottle I wrapped some brown twine  and tied it to a knot.

 

 An Tag 10 war dann die Dia de los Muertos Blume in der Box. Und das vielleicht das Motiv, mit dem ich mich am schwersten getan habe. Es ist ebenfalls recht groß und außerdem so total anders als das, womit ich sonst so arbeite. Aber hey, Challenge accepted! 

Ich wollte eine eher monochrome Karte machen und Grautöne hatte ich noch gar nicht verwendet. Nun, vielleicht habe ich es dafür mit dem Glitter ein wenig übertrieben...

Der Hintergrund ist aus hellgrauem, mit Hickory Smoke und Black Soot gewischtem Cardstock gemacht. Darauf habe ich dann weiße Acrylfarbe gespritzt, diesmal über den kompletten Cardstock. 

Den Hauptteil der Blume und die Fledermausflügel-Blätter habe ich aus silbernem, den Totenkopf in der mitte aus weißem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt. Die Blumen um die Augen sind aus silbernem Spiegel-Cardstock, die Augen und der Stiel aus normalem schwarzem Cardstock. Die Backen, die nach dem Stanzen noch im Totenkopf hingen, habe ich einfach mit einem Copicmarker etwas eingefärbt, alle anderen Teile sind mit Polychromos schattiert. 

Nachdem ich alles zusammengeklebt und auf die Karte gelegt hatte, war mir alles viel zu dunkel und mit zu wenig Kontrast. Also habe ich das helle Pink der Backen nochmal aufgegriffenund alle Teile nochmal aus hellrosa Cardstock gestanzt. Die habe ich dann leicht versetzt hinter die Blume geklebt. 

Der vorgeschlagene Text zu dem Motiv ist das "stay spooky", das ich ja sowieso in den schmalen Streifen am oberen Rand der Karten gestempelt habe. Der einzige Text, der sonst noch auf die Karte passte, war Teil eines Stempels mit dem Text "trick or treat, you're so sweet". Ich habe nur das "you're so sweet" weiß in das untere Feld der Karte embosst, allerdings war es so fein - und das teilweise einfärben des Stempels hier wirklich nicht einfach - so dass der Text nicht ganz sauber ausgefallen ist. Ich wollte aber diesen Stempel nicht auseinderschneiden - bei einem anderen im Set habe ich das sehr wohl gemacht - weil die Texte so nah beieinander sind und ich Angst hatte, aus Versehen einen davon zu beschädigen. 

 

On day 10 this Dia de los Muertos flower was in the box. And maybe that's the die I struggled the most with. It's not only pretty large, too, it's also completly different from what I use normally. But hey, challenge accepted!

I wanted to make a monochrome card and hadn't used greys much yyet. Well, maybe I went a bit overboard with the glitter here...

The background is made from light grey cardstock, inked with Hickory Smoke and Black Soot. Then I splattered white acrylic paint onto it, this time onto the the whole cardstock piece. 

The main part of the flower and bat wing shaped leaves I cut from silver, the skull from white glitter cardstock. The flowers around the eyes I made from silver mirror cardstock, the eyes and stem are cut from regular black cardstock. The cheeks still stuck in the die cut after I had cut the skull out so I brought in a light pink Copics and simply colored over them. All the other pieces I shaded with Polychromos.

After I had glued together all the pieces and laid the flower onto my background everything was way too dark and with not enough contrast. So I picked up the light pink of the cheeks again and die cut all the pieces again from light pink cardstock. Those I adhered a bit offset behind the flower. 

The suggested text with this image is "stay spooky", that I stamped into the thin fiel at the bottom of each card. The only other text that fit here sizewise was part of the "trick or treat, you're so sweet" text from the box. I only stamped the "you're so sweet" into the frame at the bottom of the card. It's very thin and small and inking up just that part of the stamp really wasn't easy so the text didn't turn out completly crisp. I had already cut apart one text from the box but I was afraid I'd damage this one when trying because the text parts are really close together. 

 

 Na, was sagt Ihr - zu viel Glitter?

Ich habe den Rahmen auf dieser Karte aus normalem schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Und als Deko kamen dann einige hellrosa Herzen zum Einsatz. 

Zum Schluss war ich dann direkt zufrieden mit dem Kärtchen, auch wenn es für mich nicht unbedingt nach Halloween aussieht.

I die cut the frame from regular black cardstock. As decoration I added a few light pink clay hearts. 

In the end I really liked this card, even if it doesn't necessarily scream Halloween to me.

 

 Die Stanze von Tag 11 war ein Spukhaus samt Fledermaus. Das habe ich mehrfach aus grauem und schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und dann gelayert, um ihm etwas Dimension zu geben. Hinter die Fenster habe ich erst Acetate und dann weißen Cardstock gesetzt. Den habe ich wieder mit dem Glow-in-the-Dark Embossingpulver von LawnFawn überzogen. Ein Bild des leuchtenden Hauses gibt es natürlich gleich!

Der Hintergrund ist aus hellblauem Cardstock, den ich mit Prize Ribbon und Chipped Sapphire gewisht habe. Auf den mittleren Bereich habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Die Fledermäuse habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. 

Weil mir auf der Karte etwas fehlte, kam wieder etwas gerissenes Vellum zum Einsatz. Langsam mag es langweilig werden, aber wenn ich tagelang am selben Thema und mit den selben Grundprodukten arbeite, dann neige ich zu Wiederholungen. 

Der Text für dieses Motiv war nur einzeilig - perfekt für das etwas höhere Motiv. Ich habe ihn weiß aufembosst. 

 

The die from day 11 was a haunted house with a bat. I die cut the house several times from grey and black cardstock and layered them, to give the house some dimension. Behind the windows I put some acetate and then white cardstock. Before glueing it down I covered it completly with the Glow-in-the-Dark embossing powder by LawnFawn. Of course I'll share a picture of the lit up house with you.

The background is made from light blue cardstock, inked with Prize Ribbon and Chipped Sapphire. Onto the center area I splattered white acrylic paint.

Since I felt like the card was too plain I brought in some torn pieces of vellum again. It might get a bit boring but when I craft with the same theme and the same base elements for days I tend to repeat myself.

The text for this image was just one line - perfect for the again a bit taller image. I white heat embossed it onto the background.

 

 Den Rahmen habe ich diesmal aus blauem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt. Aus dem selben Carstock habe ich auch nochmal zwei Fledermäuse gestanzt und von denen die Flügel weggeschnitten. Nur die Körper habe ich dann auf die schwarzen Fledermäuse aufgeklebt. 

Und für diese Nacht-Szene waren kleine silberne Sterne natürlich die beste Deko.

 

The frame I cut from blue mirror cardstock. From the same cardstock I also cut two more bats, cut off the wings and glued just the bodies onto the black bats.

And for this night scene some small silver star confetti were the perfect decoration.

 

 So, und wer traut sich nun ins Haus? Ich bin mir nicht so ganz sicher, ob die Fenster einladend oder eher bedrohlich leuchten.

 

Who dares to enter the house? I am not sure if the glow coming from those windows is inviting or threatening. 

 

 Der Hexenkessel von Tag 12 verdient seinen Namen wirklich, kommt er doch sogar mit Hexenbeinen! 

Ich habe den Hintergrund aus hellgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Bundled Sage, Rustic Wilderness und Black Soot gewischt. Anschließend habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Den Hexenkessel und die Schuhe der Hexe habe ich aus schwarzem Glossy-Cardstock gestanzt, das schaut auf den Bildern von oben leider tiefschwarz und so gar nicht glossy aus...

Den Ring am oberen Rand des Kessels sowie die Griffe habe ich aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gemacht, den blubbernden Inhalt des Kessels mit lilafarbenem Glitter- und Spiegelcardstock. Im Kessel befinden sich außerdem noch einige Knochen und ein grüner Löffel mit schwarzen Streifen. Eine Lage des Kesselinhalts habe ich außen auf den Ring geklebt, so als würde er herauslaufen. Über dem Kessel schwebt eine kleine lilafarbene Glitzerwolke.

Und weil ich unbedingt die Hexenbeine samt Schuhen mit verwenden wollte, der Kessel so aber zu hoch geworden wäre, habe ich beides mittig zerschnitten und so hinter den Kessel geklebt, als säße die Hexe dahinter und nur die Beine wären sichtbar. Die Hexenschuhe habe ich mit lilafarbenen Sternen dekoriert. 

Für die Füllung des Kessels ist auch ein kleiner Totenkopf enthalten. Der hat mir im Kessel dann aber nicht gefallen und ich habe ihn kurzerhand oben rechts auf die Karte geklebt.  

 

The cauldron from day 12 is amazing and even comes with some witch's legs!

I cut the background from light green cardstock and inked it with Distress Ink Bundled Sage, Rustic Wilderness and Black Soot, then splattered white acrylic paint onto it.

The cauldron and the witch's shoes are cut from black glossy cardstock, on the pictures taken from above that looks just pitch black and not glossy at all...

The brim of the cauldron and the handles I cut from matte silver metallic cardstock, the bubbly stuff inside the cauldron I cut from purple glitter and mirror cardstock. There are also some bones and a green stick with black stripes in the cauldron. I adhered one piece of the bubbly stuff to the brim of the cauldron just like it is bubbling over. And above the cauldron there is some purple glittery steam. 

I really wanted to use the legs and shoes from the set, but that would have made the cauldron too tall for my mini card. So I cut both pieces in half and adhered them to the left and right of the cauldron, just like the witch is sitting behind it, showing only her legs. I decorated the shoes with a small purple clay star.

To fill the cauldron there is also a small skull included in the set. I didn't like it in the cauldron here, so instead I adhered it to the top right of my card.

 

 Der Rahmen ist hier aus grün-türkis farbenem, gemusterten Holographic-Cardstock gemacht. Als Deko habe ich einige kleine silberne Stern-Konfetti aufgeklebt.

Und auf diesem Bild kann man dannn auch den Glanz des schwarzen Cardstocks etwas  sehen.

And on this card you can also see the shine of the black cardstock at least  a bit. 

 

Und zu guter Letzt folgt hier das Kärtchen mit den Stanzen von Tag 13. Die sticht ein wenig aus den anderen heraus, wahrscheinlich hat sie es deswegen nicht aufs Sammelbild geschafft...

Der Sarg war dann tatsächlich zu groß für die Artist Trading Card, zumindest die Variante mit beiden Rahmen und den Unterteilungen. Die Karte hat zwar die selbe Größe wie alle anderen, aber eben ohne die Rahmen. Ich möchte auch ehrlich sein: nach tagelang gefühlt das selbe tun - und im Prinzip war es das ja bei jedem Kärtchen, nur die Deko und Farben unterschieden sich - war die Luft irgendwie ein wenig raus. 

Ich habe den Hintergrund aus rotem Cardstock mit Distress Ink Vintage Photo, Ground Espresso und Black Soot gewischt und weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Den Sarg habe ich aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Polychromos schattiert. Ich wollte ein wenig den Kreis schließen, so als würde der Vampir aus Tag 1 in diesem Sarg wohnen. Deswegen habe ich auch hier ein helles Blau für die Hand, die den Sarg von innen öffnet, verwendet. Außerdem habe ich den in den Sargdeckel eingeprägten Rahmen mit einem goldenen Gelstift nachgemalt.

Neben dem Totenkopf und den gekreuzten Knochen stanzt eine der Stanzen aus dem Set auch noch zwei einzelne Knochen. Ich habe beides mehrfach aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und damit nicht nur den Sargdeckel dekoriert sondern auch neben dem Sarg noch einige Knochen und einen Totenkopf verteilt. 

Da ich bei diesem Kärtchen keine Felder hatte und auch nicht wirklich Platz für einen Text war, habe ich den mit schwarzer Tinte auf hellblauen Cardstock gestanzt, ausgeschnitten und auf den Sarg geklebt. Da ich nicht einen breiten hellblauen Streifen wollte, habe ich den Text in drei Streifen geschnitten. 

 

And last but not least I am sharing with out the card with the dies from day 13. It's the odd one out, maybe that's why it didn't make it onto the first picture of the post.

The coffin really was too large for the Artist Trading Card, at least with both frames and the different areas. This card has the same size as all the others but without the inner frames. And I want to be honest with you: after doing the same thing over and over again for several days - and that's what making all these cards basically was, just with different images and colors - I just had run out of steam and was looking forward to doing something different.

I inked the background, that I had cut from red cardstock, with Distress Ink Vintage Photo, Ground Espresso and Black Soot and splattered white acylic paint onto it.

I die cut the coffin from brown cardstock and shaded it with Plychromos. I wanted to kind of close the circle, just like the vampire from day 1 is the one sleeping in this coffin. So I used some light blue for the hand, that's opening up the coffin from the inside, just like I did on the vampire.  I also used a gold gel pen to fill out the frame, that the die embosses into the lid of the coffin. 

One of the dies from the set does not only cut the skull and crossed bones but also two individual bones. I cut several of these from white cardstock and did not only decorate the coffin's lid with it but also placed some bones and a skull next to the coffin.  

Since there weren't the individual frames and I also didn't really have room for a sentiment I stamped the text with black ink onto blue cardstock and adhered it to the coffin. Since I didn't want to have one large strip here I cut it into three pieces. 

 

 Den Rahmen habe ich aus rotem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt und als Deko einige kleine rote Pailetten auf der Karte verteilt.

Beim Zusammenkleben des Sargs habe ich den Deckel auf der rechten Seite mit Flüssigkleber auf den unteren Sargteil geklebt, auf der linken, offenen Seite habe ich dünnes 3D Tape entlang des Sargdeckelrands angebracht. So steht der Sarg hier ein wenig nach oben und wirkt plastischer.

 

I die cut the frame from red glitter cardstock and added some small red sequins as decoration.  

When putting the coffin together I adhered the right edge of the lid with liquid glue to the coffin base, behind the open left side I put some thin foam tape. This way it stands up on just one side and looks more dimensional. 

Karte zur Diamanthochzeit

Heute habe ich eine Karte zum 60. Hochzeitstag - also der Diamanthochzeit. Und weil ich dafür nicht wirklich Stempel habe, habe ich ein wenig um die Ecke gedacht.

Today I am sharing with you a card for a 60th wedding anniversary, which is called diamond wedding. And since I don't really have any dies or stamps just for this occasion I did some thinking outside the box to make it work.

 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock mit einem Embossingfolder von Cuttlebug geprägt, der mich an Borkatmuster erinnert. Ich finde ihn super edel und passend für so eine Karte. 

Nach dem Embossing habe ich den Cardstock mit Wasser und Distress Mica Spray Frozen Fog besprüht.

Alle anderen Elemente der Karte habe ich dann aus Schimmer-Cardstock gewerkelt. Das passt zwar wunderbar zum Hintergrund und sieht super aus, hat aber das Fotografieren der Karte extrem erschwert. Ganz so stark wie auf den Fotos schimmert der Cardstock im echten Leben nicht. 

 

For the background I dry embossed a piece of watercolor cardstock using an embossing folder by Cuttlebug. It reminds me of some brocade fabric and I think it's very elegant and perfect for a card for this occasion.

After the embossing I sprayed the cardstock with water and Distress Mica Spray Frozen Fog. 

All the other elements on this card I made from pearlescent cardstock. It goes perfectly with the background and looks amazing, but it made photographing this card really hard. The shine isn't as strong in real life as it appears on the photos.

 

 Aus weißem Schimmer-Cardstock habe ich eine 60 gestanzt und mit einer Lage aus hellgrauem Schimmer-Cardstock hinterlegt. Außerdem befinden sich insegsamt vier Lagen aus normalem weißem Cardstock hinter den Zahlen. Um hier den Hintergrund ein wenig abzuschwächen habe ich nach zwei Lagen weißen Cardstocks eine Raute aus Vellum zwischen die Zahlen gesetzt. 

Ebenfalls auf hellgrauen Schimmer-Cardstock habe ich dann mit dunkelgrauer Tinte "herzlichen Glückwunsch zum" aufgestempelt und in einzelne Worte geschnitten. Die habe ich später auf den Zahlen befestigt.

 

I die cut a 60 from white pearlescent vellum and added a shadow layer cut from light grey pearlescent cardstock. I also put four layers cut from regular white cardstock behind the numbers. And to soften the background behind the numbers I put a diamond cut from vellum between the layers, putting it after the second white layer from the bottom. 

Also from the light grey cardstock I cut some strips and stamped "congratulations on your" with dark grey ink onto it. Later I adhered those on top of the numbers.

 

 Zu einer Diamanthochzeit bieten sich Diamanten als Deko natürlich an. Mit Stanzen von WaffleFlower und MFT habe ich drei Diamanten aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Ich fand, grau-blau passt gut zur Karte. Später habe ich die Diamanten außerdem dick mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Auf dunkelgrauen Schimmer-Cardstock habe ich das Wort "Hochzeitstag" weiß aufembosst und mit einer Bannerstanze ausgestanzt. Das Banner habe ich unter den Zahlen quer über die Karte geklebt und dann die Diamanten dazu gesetzt. Außerdem habe ich aus dunkelblauem Schimmer-Cardstock einige kleine Blüten ausgestanzt und, zusammen mit ein paar dunkelblauen Perlen, auf der Karte verteilt.

 

Of course diamonds seem the perfect decoration for a diamond wedding card. I used dies by WaffleFlower and MFT to cut three diamonds from white cardstock and colored them with Copics. I thought, a grey-ish blue would be the perfect color choice. Later I also covered the diamonds with a thick layer of Glossy Accents.

I white heat embossed the word "wedding anniversary" onto a banner, that I cut from dark grey pearlescent cardstock. I glued the banner under the numbers across the card and added the diamonds. I also cut some small flowers from dark blue pearlescent cardstock and added those to the card, together with some dark blue pearls.

 

 Euch kann ich es ja gestehen, es bleibt ja unter uns... ;) Als ich die Karte soweit fertig hatte, fiel mir siedend heiß ein, dass ich ja das Hochzeitsdatum and die Namen mit auf der Karte unterbringen sollte! Aus der Not heraus habe ich die mit dem Dymo auf durchsichtiges Band geschrieben und das dann auf dunkelgrauen Cardstock geklebt. Dann habe ich die Texte ausgeschnitten und ober- und unterhalb der bereits aufgeklebten Deko noch Platz dafür gefunden. So ist die Karte zwar voller als geplant, aber  alle Anforderungen sind erfüllt.

Ich habe einige der Elemtente mit 3D Tape hinterlegt, auch um die Höhe der Buchstaben auszugleichen. Dann habe ich den geprägten Cardstock mit einem etwas größeren Stück des dunkelblauen Schimmer-Cardstocks hinterlegt und alles mit 3D Tape auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Well, I guess I can tell you because no one else will know... ;) When I had my card done I remembered that I was asked to include the wedding date and the names! Since I had no other idea I used my Dymo to press the texts into clear tape and glued that onto pieces of the dark gery cardstock. Then I cut them out and adhered them above and under the already glued on decoration. This way my card turned out busier than planned but at least I met all the requirements.

I backed some of the elements with foam tape, also to even them with the raised numbers. 

I matted the embossed cardstock with a slighly larger piece cut from dark blue pearlescent cardstock and then adhered it with to a white note card, using foam tape again.

 

Herbstkarte mit Sommertouch

Bei der heutigen Karte bin ich mir nicht ganz sicher - ist das noch eine Sommer- oder schon eine Herbstkarte. Okay, der Text müsste für ersteres anders sein, aber vom Look her würde  sie als beides durchgehen.

I am not entirely sure, if today's card is still a summer or already a fall card. Okay, the text doesn't go with a summer card, but the overall look of the card would fit both.

 

Ich habe hier den Woodgrain Texture Background von WaffleFlower in ein Stück hell-türkis farbenen Cardstocks gestanzt und dann die dazu gehörigen Stencils zum Colorieren verwendet. Ich habe Distress Ink Salvaged Patina und Broken China benutzt und auch die Ränder des Cardstocks etwas damit abgedunkelt. 

 

I die cut the Woodgrain Texture Background by WaffleFlower  into a piece of light aqua cardstock and then used the matching stencils to add the details. I did the details with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina and Broken China and also darkened the edges of the whole cardstock slightly. 

 

 Die Sonnenblumen sind mit der Sunflower Cluster Stanze von WaffleFlower gemacht. Auf die großen Sonnenblumen habe ich jeweils noch die obere Lage aus dem Sunflower Set gesetzt. Auch hier habe ich - bis auf die obere Lage der großen Sonnenblumen - die passenden Stencils zum Colorieren benutzt. 

Die Sonnenblumen sind mit Distress Ink Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber und Wild Honey, die Blumenmitten mit Gathered Twigs und Ground Espresso gewischt. Für die Blätter habe ich Shabby Shutters und Peeled Paint verwendet. 

Nach dem Einfärben der Stanzteile habe ich noch einige Schatten und Details mit Polychromos hinzugefügt.

Vor einiger Zeit hatte ich eine Karte gesehen - und ich weiß nicht mehr, wo - bei der einer der großen Blumen-Cluster von WaffleFlower mittig halbiert und dann an die obere und untere Kante der Karte geklebt wurde. Das wollte ich ausprobieren. Also habe ich ganz mutig meine fertig colorierten Sonneblumen-Cluster halbiert und aufgeklebt. Das Ergebnis überzeugt mich absolut. 

Nach dem Aufkleben der Sonnenblumen auf den Hintergrund habe ich auf alles weiße Acrylfarbe  gespritzt. 

 

The sunflowers I made with the Sunflower Cluster die by WaffleFlower. Onto each of the large sunflowers I glued  just the top layer of the large sunflower from the Sunflower die set. Again I used the matching stencils to color the image - except for the top layer of the large flowers. I inked the flowers with Distress Ink Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber and Wild Honey, the flower centers with Gathered Twigs and Ground Espresso. For the leaves I used Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint.

After inking the image(s) I used my Polychromos to add some details and shadows.

A little ago I saw a card - and I can't remember where - where the creator cut one of the large flower clusters by WaffleFlower in half and adhered each half to one of the edges of the card. I really wanted to try that. So I was brave and cut my already colored image in half, then adhered it to the background. I really like the result.

After attaching the flowers to the background I splattered white acrylic paint onto the whole panel.

 

 Mittig zwischen die beiden Blumen-Cluster habe ich meinen Text geklebt. Das Wort fall ist Teil der Giant Happy Fall Stanze von LawnFawn. Ich habe hier eine Lage aus dunkelbraunem Cardstock und eine aus hellblauem Schimmer-Cardstock aufeinander geklebt. 

Das kleine Wort Hello ist  aus dem Bitty Holiday Messages Set von MFT und weiß auf dunkelbraunen Cardstock embosst. 

 

Into/over the empty space between the flower cluster (parts) I put down my text. The word fall is part of the Giant Happy Fall die by LawnFawn. I stacked one piece cut from brown cardstock and once cut from light blue shimmer cardstock.

The small hello above it is from Bitty Holiday Messages by MFT and white heat embossed onto dark brown cardstock.

 

 Die beiden Blumen-Elemente habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt.

Als Deko habe ich auf die Mitten der großen Sonnenblumen jeweils ein weißes Herz geklebt, außerdem habe ich einige hellorange-gold irisierende Perlen auf der Karte verteilt.

Dann habe ich den dekorierten Carstock auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I backed the flower elements with thin foam tape.

As decoration I adhered a white clay heart to the center of the two larger flowers and also scattered some light orange-gold iridescent pearls on the card.

Then I attached the card panel to a white note card.

Es ist Zeit für die nächste Halloween Karte! Auch diese Karte ist für das Halloweeners Team von WhimsyStamps entstanden. Normalerweise bin ich etwas später dran mit den Halloween-Karten, aber es macht so viel Spaß, dass ich mich frage, warum ich nicht das ganze Jahr über hin und wieder mal meine makabre Seite herauslasse....

It's time for another halloween card! And also this card was made as a member of the Halloweeners Team by WhimyStamps. Usually I start my halloween crafts a bit later in the year, but it's so much fun and I start to wonder, why I don't do some all year long, giving  my a bit macabre side some space... 

 

Diesmal ist eine Shaped Card in Slimline-Größe entstanden. Basis war die Lava Lamp Stanze von WhimsyStamps. Ich habe sie ähnlich wie einen Shaker aufgebaut, die Motive im Inneren der Lampe sind aber festgeklebt.

Für die Lampe habe ich sie einmal komplett aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, ein weiteres Mal habe ich sie aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und den inneren Teil herausgestanzt um einen ganz schmalen Rahmen zu erhalten. Außerdem habe ich den Fuß und den oberen Abschluss aus silbernem Schimmer-Cardstock gestanzt.

 

This time I made a shaped card in a slimline size. Base for this die is the Lava Lamp die by WhimsyStamps. I built it up just like a shaker, but the images inside them lamp are glued down.  

For the lamp I die cut the complete lamp twice from black cardstock and cut out the inner part from one of them to end up with a very thin frame.  I also die cut the top and bottom piece from silver metallic cardstock.

 

 Den oberen Teil der Lampe habe ich mit lilafarbenem Schimmer-Cardstock hinterlegt. Das habe ich mit Distress Ink Black Soot an den Rändern etwas abgedunkelt und dann Distress Mica Spray Fortune Teller bespritzt. 

Gefüllt habe ich die Lavalampe statt mit "Lava" mit Augen. Die sind aus dem Stempelset Jeepers Creepers. Ich habe einen Teil des größeren Augenhaufens sowie einzelne Augen benutzt. Sie sind mit Copics coloriert, dann habe ich sie ausgeschnitten. Zwischen die Augen kam dann doch noch etwas der Lava, die mit einer Stanzen aus dem Lava Lamp Set gemacht ist. Ich habe sie aus Vellum gestanzt und ein wenig mit Distress Ink Seedless Preserves betupft. 

Einige der Augen habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt und alles auf die  Lampe geklebt.

Den dünnen Rahmen in der Form der Lavalampe habe ich mit Acetate hinterlegt und dann mit dickem 3D Tape auf die vollflächige Lampe geklebt.

Oben an die Lampe  habe ich noch drei farblich passende Perlen aufgeklebt. 

 

I covered the upper part of the lava lamp with some purple metallic cardstock. I shaded the edges with Distress Ink Black Soot and then spritzed Distress Mica Spray Fortune Teller onto it.

I filled the lava lamp not with "lava" but with eyes. Those are from the Jeepers Creepers stamp set. I used a part of the large eye cluster and some individual eyes. I colored them with Copics and cut them out. And then I decided to put some of the "lava", that's cut with another die from the Lava Lamp die set, between the eyes.  I cut it from vellum and dabbed some Distress Ink Seedless Preserves onto it. 

I backed some of the eyes with thin foam tape and adhered everything to the lamp.

I put a layer of acetate behind the thin frame in the lava lamp shape and attached it with thick foam tape to the solid lamp.

I glued three iridescent pearls in a matching color to the top of the lamp as decoration. 

 

 Die silbernen Teile für das Ober- und Unterteil der Lampe habe ich ebenfalls mit Black Soot schattiert und dann Distress Mica Spray Empty Tomb aufgespritzt. Ich wollte, dass die Teile schön alt und fleckig aussehen. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich die beiden Teile dann oben auf das Acetate geklebt.

Als Deko habe ich links an den Fuß eine Hand mit Auge aus dem Stempelset Scream Time aufgeklebt. Ich fand, das passte perfekt zu meiner Lampe. Auf der rechten Seite des Fußes finden sich ein paar weitere Augäpfel. Ich habe auch diese Motive mit Copics coloriert. Die Iris der Augen, die sich nicht im Inneren der Lampe befinden, habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen. 

Aus Vellum habe ich dann mit Stanzen aus dem Set Spiders and Webs noch ein paar Spinnenetzteile ausgestanzt und oben und unten an die Lampe geklebt.

Unten auf der Lampe habe ich dann noch meinen Text aufgeklebt. Ich habe zwei Texte aus dem Set Eye Scream weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und aufgeklebt.  

 

Also with Black Soot I shaded the silver pieces for the bottom and top of the lamp and then spritzed Distress Mica Spray Empty Tomb onto them. I wanted those pieces to look old and splotchy. After the spray had dried I glued both pieces on top of the acetate.

As decoration I added a hand with an eye from Scream Time to the bottom left of the lamp. I tought, this images goes perfectly with my lamp.  On the right side I adhered a few more eyes. Again I used Copics to color the images, the irises of thos eyes, that are not inside the lamp, I covered with Glossy Accents.

From vellum I cut some spiderweb pieces using dies from Spiders and Webs and adhered those to the to and bottom of the lamp.

 To the stand of the lamp I also added the text. I used two texts from Eye Scream and white heat embossed them onto black cardstock. Then I glued them down.

 

13 Days of Craftoween Teil 2

Heute zeige ich Euch den nächsten Teil meiner Mini-Karten mit den Stanzen aus der 13 Days of Craftoween Box von Spellbinders. Und sie passen natürlich zu den Kärtchen aus meinem Post Teil 1 von vor zwei Tagen, in dem die Basics beschrieben sind.

 

Hello everyone!

Today I am sharing with you the next part of my series of mini cards using the dies from the 13 Days of Craftoween Box by Spellbinders. And of course they match the cards from my post #1 from two days ago, where I explain all the basics. 

 

 

Hinter Tag 6 verbarg sich dieses als Hexe verkleidetes Skelett.

Den Hintergrund habe ich aus hellgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und dann mit Distress Ink Mowed Lawn und Black Soot gewischt. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe auf den mittleren Bereich aufgespritzt. 

Hut und Kessel des kleinen Skeletts habe ich aus schwarzem Glossy-Cardstock gestanzt, Beim Kessel habe ich den Griff und die Füße aus silbernem Schimmer-Cardstock gemacht. Das Hutband besteht aus grünem Glitter-Cardstock. Beim Hexenbesen habe ich das gestanzte Querband durch schwarzes Twine, das ich mehrfach um den Besen gewickel und vorne verknotet habe, ersetzt.

 Die Stanzteile sind wieder mit Polychromos ganz leicht schattiert. 

Hinter dem Skelett befindet sich wieder etwas in Streifen gerissenes Vellum als Nebel/Wolken. 

In das schmale Feld oben auf der Karte habe ich das schon bewährte "stay spooky" gestempelt, allerdings sieht man das hier nicht so doll. Ich zeige Euch gleich, warum. Für einen Text im unteren Feld der Karte war hier kein Platz, weil die Skelett-Hexe einfach zu hoch war. Aber ich finde, er fehlt hier auch nicht.

 

Day 6 was this skeleton, dressed as a witch. 

I die cut the background from light green cardstock and inked it with Disress Ink Mowed Lawn and Black Soot, then splattered white acrylic paint onto the center area. 

I cut the hat and cauldron from black glossy cardstock, the handle and feet of the cauldron I replaced with ones cut from silver pearlescent cardstock. The band on the witch's hat I made from green glitter cardstock. And on the broom I replaced the die cut ribbon with some black twine, that I wrapped around the broom several times and tied it to a knot. 

 I lightly shaded the die cuts with Polychromos.

Behind the skeleton there are some clouds, made from vellum that I tore into thin strips. 

In the small area at the top of the card I stamped "stay spooky" like I did on all the other ones before. It's a bit hard to read here, I'll show you why in a little bit. There was no room for another sentiment in the field at the bottom of the card but I don't think the card is missing it.

 

 Ich habe den Rahmen aus grünem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt. 

Als Deko habe ich einige schwarze Pailetten, die ebenfalls in der Box kamen, aufgeklebt und außerdem das Hutband des Hexenhuts mit einem orangefarbenen Stern dekoriert. 

 

I die cut the frame from green mirror cardstock.

As decoration I added some black sequins, that also came in the box, and added a small orange clay star to the band on the witch's hat. 

 

 Und hier seht Ihr, warum der Text hier etwas schwer lesbar ist: er ist mit nachtleuchtendem Embossingpulver aufembosst. Wenn es dunkel ist, kann man ihn prima lesen!

Auch die aus weißem Cardstock gestanzten Teile des Skeletts habe ich mit zwei Lagen des Embossingpulvers überzogen. Ich habe das Pulver von LawnFawn benutzt, das ist bei Tag nicht so extrem grün wie das andere, das ich hier habe.

 

And here you can see why the text is a bit hard to read: I made that with glow-in-the-dark embossing powder. When it's dark the text is easy to read!

I also covered the pieces of the skeleton, that I had die cut from white cardstock, with two layers of this embossing powder. I used the one by LawnFawn, it isn't too green-ish in daylight.

 

 Das Kärtchen mit den Stanzen von Tag 7 ist eher gruselig ausgefallen. Das Set besteht aus den Büchern und Kerzen und außerdem einem Banner, in das ein "Spellbound" eingeprägt wird. Das habe ich hier nicht verwendet und stattdessen den Totenkopf von Tag 2 nochmal verwendet und auch ihn mit einer Kerze versehen.

Ich habe die Buchseiten aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock, die Bücher aus Cardstock in verschiedenen Brauntönen und die Kerzen und den Totenkopf aus cremefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und alle Teile wieder mit Polychromos schattiert. Ich habe das herablaufende Wachs der Kerzen ein weiteres Mal mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt, um ihnen etwas Dimension zu geben. Und auch die Bücher sind so gelayert - ich wollte, dass die goldenen Buchseiten etwas zurückversetzt sind. Also habe ich aus den oberen Buchlagen diesen Bereich herausgeschnitten, so dass die goldenen Lagen tiefer liegen.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus hell-orange farbenem Cardstock, den ich mit Crackling Campfire, Aged Mahogany und Black Soot gewischt habe. Die Spritzer im mittleren Teil der Karte bestehen aus schwarzer Metallic-Watercolor.

Der Rahmen ist diesmal aus orangefrabenem Glitter-Cardstock, die Texte sind mit schwarzer Tinte aufgestempelt. Dadurch sticht der Text im unteren Feld zwar nicht so extrem heraus, ist aber immer noch gut lesbar. Ich wollte dort einfach nicht noch etwas weißes anbringen. 

 

My little card with the days from day 7 turned out a bit more spooky. The set comes with the books and candles and also a banner with a cut in "spollbound". I didn't use that, instead I brought in the skull from day 2 again and decorated it with another candle.

I cut the sides of the books from gold mirror cardstock, the books from different shades of brown, the candles and skull from cream colored cardstock. Again I shaded all of them with Polychromos. I added another layer of the dripping down wax of the candles, adhering them with foam tape, to give them some dimension. And also the books are layered like that - I wanted the gold parts to lay deeper than the brown ones. So I cut out the sides of the books of the top layer.

The background I made from light orange cardstock that I inked with Crackling Campfire, Aged Mahogany and Black Soot. The splatters are made from black metallic watercolor.

The frame I cut from orange glitter cardstock, the texts I stamped down with black ink. That makes the text in the bottom field not as easy to read or see, but I didn't want to have another white element down there. 

 

 Hier sieht man die gelayerten Motive etwas besser.

Als Deko habe ich dann noch einige kleine goldene Sterne aufgeklebt.

As decoration I just added a few small gold star confetti.

 

 An Tag 8 gab es dann eine totenkopfförmige Tasse mit diversen Accessoires, um sie zu füllen. Diesmal habe ich mich für eine Farbkombi aus Pink, Rot und Schwarz entschieden.

Der Hintergrund ist aus hellrosa Cardstock, den ich mit Distress Ink Victorian Velvet, Aged Mahogany und Black Soot gewischt habe, dann habe ich silberne Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt.

 Die Tasse ist aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Ich habe sie wieder zweimal gestanzt und die obere Lage so zerteilt, dass ich die Tasse später layern konnte. Auch die Marshmallows sind aus weißem Cardstock, ich habe sie mit Polychromos leicht rosa schattiert. Auch alle anderen Teil sind damit schattiert. 

Den Grabstein habe ich aus grauem Cardstock mit einem leichten Marmormuster gestanzt und dann mit einem schwarzen Stanzteil etwas versetzt hinterlegt. Das Gesicht auf der Tasse, der Fledermaus-Stick und die Streifen des Strohhalms sind aus schwarzem, die Füllung der Tasse aus rotem Glitter-Cardstock. Und den kleinen Geist habe ich aus hellrosa-farbenem Cardstock gestanzt. 

Im Feld unten auf dem Kärtchen habe ich weiß einen der Texte aus dem Stempelset in der Box aufembosst.

Und den Rahmen habe ich aus rotem, holographischem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt. Der hat auch ein kleines Muster, das man leider auf den Fotos nicht sieht. 

 

On day 8 the box contained a skull-shaped mug with different accessoires to fill it. This time I went with a pink, red and black color combo for my card. 

The background is made from light pink cardstock, that I inked with Distress Ink Victorian Velvet, Aged Mahogany and Black Soot, then I splatered silver metallic watercolor onto it.

I die cut themug from white cardstock. I cut it twice and then cut off parts of the top layer to get a layered look later on. Also the marshmallows are cut from white cardstock, I shaded them a light pink with my Polychromos. I used those to shade most of the pieces of my card.  

The tombstone I cut from grey cardstock with a soft marble pattern, then put a black die cut behind it a bit offset. The face on the mug, the bat stick and the stripes on the straw I cut from black, the liquid in the mug from red glitter cardstock. The little ghost I cut from light pink cardstock.

Into the bottom area of my little card I white heat embossed one of the texts from the box.

And the frame I cut from red holographic mirror cardstock. It even has some kind of pattern but that is't visible on the pictures.

 

 Das Motiv habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und dann ein paar der schwarzen Pailetten aus der Box als Deko hinzugefügt.

 

I adhered the image with thin foam tape to the background and then added some of the black sequins from the box as decoration.

 

 Mein letztes Kärtchen in diesem Post zeigt das kleine Monster aus Tag 9 - und damit bin ich dann fast wieder up to date. 

Hier besteht der Hintergrund aus hell-lila, mit Villaoinous Potion und Black Soot gewischtem Cardstock, auf den ich dann orange-goldene Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt habe. 

Das kleine Monster ist aus lilafarbenem Cardstock, für den Kürbiseimer habe ich natürlich (dunkel)orange farbenen Cardstock benutzt. Ich liebe, wie das Gesicht im Eimer und das Monster beide nur ein Auge haben! 

Die Hörner und den Fügel des Monsters habe ich aus orange-holographischem Spiegel-Cardstock mit leichtem Kreismuster gestanzt und die Teile dann jeweils mit einem leicht versetzten schwarzen Stanzteil hinterlegt. Auch die Schwanzspitze ist aus dem Hologramm-Cardstock. Für den oberen Teil des Dreizacks habe ich silbernen Spiegel-Cardstock verwendet. 

Alle Teile habe ich wieder mit Polychromos schattiert und damit auch eine orangefarbene Iris auf das Auge gemalt. 

Die Texte sind wieder aus der Box, den im Feld unten auf der Karte habe ich weiß embosst. 

Als Deko habe ich hier einige hell-lila irisierdende Mini-Sternchen benutzt. Und hier fand ich die Wackelaugen als Deko für das kleine Feld oben rechts wieder super. 

 

My last mini card in this post shows the little monster from day 9 - and that means I am nearly up to date now.

The backbround is made from light purple cardstock inked with Villaoinous Potion and Black Soot, onto that I splattered some orange-gold metallic watercolor.

The little monster I cut from purple, the pumpkin bucket from (dark) orange cardstock. I love that both have just one eye!

The horns and wing I cut from orange holographic mirror cardstock with some kind of circle pattern and then backed those pieces a bit offset with a black die cut. Also the tip of the monster's tail is made from that orange holographic cardstock. For the top of his trident I used silver mirror cardstock.

I shaded all pieces with Polychromos and used those to also draw an orange iris on his eye.

The texts are again from the box, the bottom one I white heat embossed.  

As decoration I used some tiny light purple iridescent stars. And for this card I loved the idea of the googley eyes in the small box at the top right.  

 

 Den Rahmen habe ich wieder aus dem silbernen Holographic-Cardstock gemacht.

Nach dem Aufkleben des Monsters fehlte mir irgendetwas, also habe ich einen Streifen Vellum, dessen oberen Rand ich gerissen habe, hinter die Füße des Monsters geklebt.

After adhering the monster to the card I felt like there was missing something, so I put a strip of vellum behind his legs. The top edge of the vellum I just tore off. 

 

Geburtstagsgrüße aus dem Wald

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute habe ich eine Geburtstagskarte für Euch, die Grüße darauf werden von kleinen Waldschraten geliefert. Und weil die doch recht groß sind, ist es eine Karte im Slimline-Format  geworden.

Today I have a birthday card to share with you, the greetings get delivered by some forest fairies. And since those are larger than you might think I ended up with a slimline sized card.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus weißem Cardstock, den ich mit Distress Oxides Speckled Egg, Salvaged Patina, Broken China und Uncharted Mariner gewischt habe. Dann habe ich ein paar Wassertropfen aufgespritzt.

 

The background is made from a piece of white cardstock that I inked  with Distress Oxide Speckled Egg, Salvaged Patina, Broken China and Uncharted Mariner. Then I covered it with a few droplets of water.

 

 Die süßen Waldschrate sind aus dem Set Holfi Acrobati von Impronte d'Autore. Das hatte ich vor kurzem in einem Flohmarkt erstanden und als mir das Set jetzt wieder in die Hände fiel, habe ich beschlossen, es einzuweihen. 

Ich habe gleich alle Figuren aus dem Set und zusätzlich ein Geschenk und eine Sonnenblume abgestempelt, mit Copics coloriert und ausgeschnitten. 

Für mich müssen Waldschrate  einfach in Grün- und Brauntönen gekleidet sein. Zusammen mit dem Gelb, das sich durch die Sonnenblume ergeben hat, ist die Karte auch schon ein wenig herbstlich ausgefallen. Das leuchten Blau im Hintergrund habe ich daher gewählt, um der Karte ein wenig mehr "Sommer" zu verleihen. Und ich finde, das klappt ganz gut.

Und ich fand, die drei brauchten unbedingt Sommersprossen. Also habe ich die mit einem braunen Fineliner aufgetupft. 

 

Those cute forest fairies are from Holfi Acrobati by Impronte d'Autore. I got that in a destash group a little while ago and when I came across it in my stamp stash recently, I decided to use it right away.

I used all the figures and also a present and a sunflower from the set, colored them with Copics and cut them out.

To me, forest fairies have to be dressed in browns and greens. Together with the yellow, that was a given by the  sunflower, the card again has some kind of fall-ish look. So I've chosen the bright blue for the background to make this card look a bit more "summer". And I think, it worked.

I really thought those three need some freckles so I used a brown fineliner to draw some onto their faces. 

 

 Mein Text besteht hier nur aus ein paar Buchstaben, die quer über der Karte verteilt sind. Ich habe sie aus gelbem Cardstock gestanzt und dabei zwei verschieden große Alphabet-Stanzensets benutzt. Dann habe ich die Buchstaben ein wenig mit Distress Ink Wild Honey schattiert und sie den Waldschraten auf die Füße und Häne gesetzt. Die Motive haben sich da einfach angeboten. Das Geschenk und die Sonnenblume habe ich dann noch auf die noch freien Hände bzw. Füße gesetzt. 

 

My text on this card is made from just a few die cut letters, that are scattered all over the card. I die cut them from yellow cardstock using two different sizes of alphabet dies. I inked the letters with a bit of Distress Ink Wild Honey and then put them on the fairies' hands and feet. Those images just screamed to be used like that. I added the sunflower and the present to the remaining, still empty hand and foot.

 

 Und weil meine Schrate ja im Wald leben, habe ich hinter die Motive einige Farne und Pilze gesetzt. Die sind mit Stanzen von Craft Emotions und HeroArts gemacht und aus verschieden farbigen Cardstockstücken gestanzt. Ich habe jedes Teil mit einem farblich passenden Ton Distress Ink etwas schattiert und die Teile auf dem Hintergrund befestigt. Dann, vor dem Aufkleben der Motive, habe ich noch etwas weiße Acrylfarbe über den Hintergrund gespritzt.

 

And since those fairies are meant to live in the forest I put some ferns and mushrooms behind the images. I made those using dies by CraftEmotions and HeroArts and cut them from different colors of cardstock. I shaded each piece with a matching Distress Ink Color and then glued them to the background. Before adhering the images I splattered some white acrylic paint over the cardstock.

 

 Da ich ja einige Lagen Pflanzen im Hintergrund habe, musste ich auch die Motive etwas nach oben bringen. Die beiden Schrate links und rechts sind mit dünnem, das Schratmädchen in der Mitte mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt.

Als Deko habe ich ein paar gelbe Enamel Dots auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling im Slimline-Format geklebt.

 

Since I already have several layers of plants in the background I also had to bring up the images a notch. I backed the two fairies on the left and right with thin, the girl in the center with thick foam tape.

I added some yellow Enamel Dots as decoration, then mounted the card panel to a white slimline card base.
