Heute zeige ich Euch hier - und auf dem Kulricke Blog - das Willkommensgeschenk für Sophie die Zweite. Ich hatte ja schon erzählt, dass in meinem Umfeld kurz nacheinander zwei Sophies das Licht der Welt erblickt haben. Diesmal habe ich eine Explosionbox gemacht, in der auch ein Gutschein Platz findet.

Today I am sharing with you - here and over at the Kulricke Blog - the welcome gift for Sophie II. I've already told you that close to each other two Sophies were born. This time I've made an explosions box that also holds place for a gift card.
Das ist die Box von außen. Ich habe die Seiten mit Designpapier mit Babyaufdruck beklebt - natürlich in rosa. Der Deckel ist aus rosafarbenem Carstock - im Gegensatz zur Box, die ich aus weißem Cardstock gemacht habe. Am Rand habe ich geraffte Spitze angebracht und auch einen kleinen Schnuller-Charm mit angebunden.
This is the outside of the box. I've covered the sides with pink designer's paper with a baby pattern. The lid is made from pink cardstock while the box was made from white cardstock. To the side of the lid I've glued some ruffled lace and also added a pacifier shaped charm.
Den Deckel habe ich natürlich ordentlich verziert. Er ist mit weißem Cardstock und dann mit dezent gemustertem, rosa Designpapier beklebt. Darauf kam etwas Cheesecloth, Spitze und ein Doily. Auf das Doily habe ich - wie auch schon bei der Karte für Sophie die Erste - den tollen Baby-Kreis, gemacht mit der Baby Kreis Stanze, aufgeklebt. Er ist aus kraftfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt. Den süßen Bär, den ich mit dem passenden Stempel bestempelt und darauf mit rosa Kreide ein paar Akzente gesetzt habe, habe ich teilweise unter den Text geklebt. Die Krone und die süße Windel sind Stanzen von Magnolia. Die Windel habe ich mit einer rosafarbenen Mini-Sicherheitsnadel "geschlossen".
Zum Schluss kamen ein paar Blümchen und Sterne als Deko dazu.
The lid is decorated properly. It's covered with white cardstock and a designer's paper with a soft pink pattern. Then I've added some cheesecloth, lace and a doily. Onto the doily I've glued the baby circle text - as I did on the card for Sophie I. The text has been die cut from craft colored cardstock. The cute bear, that I've decorated with the matching stamp and added to a few details with pink chalk, is glued partially underneath the text. The crown and cute diaper are made using dies by Magnolia. The diaper was "closed" with a pink mini safety pin.
In the end I've added a few flowers and stars as embellishments.

In den Hauptteil der Box habe ich einen 3D-Kinderwagen gestellt. Dafür habe ich die Picknickkorb-Stanze von Kulricke verwendet. Und im angekündigten Tutorial zeige ich Euch, wie genau. Als "Teppich" habe ich ein weiteres Doily aufgeklebt und darauf mit Buchstabenperlen den Namen Sophie geschrieben.
Oben, quasi von Zimmerecke zu Zimmerecke, habe ich ein Willkommen-Banner gespannt. Dafür habe ich die gleichnamige Stanze verwendet.
In the middle part of the box I've put a 3D stroller. To make it I've used the picnic basket die by Kulricke. And in the tutorial underneath I'll show you, how exactly. As a "carpet" I've used another doily and wrote the name "Sophie" on it using letter pearls.
On the top, like from one end of the room to the other, I've added a banner saying welcome.
Auf einer der aufklappenden Seiten habe ich einen kleinen Umschlag geklebt, den ich mit der Umschlag Gutscheinkarte gemacht habe. Verziert ist er mit einem Herz und einem Blümchen.
To one of the opening sides I've glued a little envelope that can held a gift card. I've decorated it with a heart and a flower.
Auf die andere sich öffnende Seite habe ich unten einen Streifen Cardstock, beklebt mit Designpapier, geklebt. Er ist nur an drei Seiten festgeklebt, so dass er als Tasche dient. Als Deko habe ich etwas rosafarbene Spitze, weißes Garn, zwei Blümchen und einen Babyflaschen-Charm hinzugefügt.
In der Tasche steckt ein Cardstockquadrat, auf das ich einen der Texte aus dem Set Sternglanz aufgestempelt habe.
To the other opening side I've glued a strip of cardstock, covered with designer's paper. It's only glued down on three sides to create a pocket. For decorations I've added some pink lace, white twine, two flowers and a baby bottle charm.
Into the pocket I've put a square of carstock onto which I've stamped a saying meaning "stars don't fall from the sky, they get born".

And now on to the tutorial for how to make the stroller:
Ihr braucht viermal das Grundteil für den Picknick-Korb, einmal den Henkel und einmal den Deckel.
Cut four of the main element of the picnic basket die, the handle and the lid get cut once.
Nehmt zwei der Hauptelemente und schneidet entlang der perforierten Linien von einem den Teil links des Mittelteils, vom anderen den Teil rechts des Mittelteils ab.
Take two of the main elements and cut off the part to the left of the middle off one piece and the part to the right of the middle off the other piece, using the perforated lines as a guideline of where to cut.
Klebt dann die Elemente, wie vorgesehen, zusammen. Nehmt dafür an den "kompletten" Teilen jeweils einen Streifen von links, einen von rechts etc. und klebt sie so fest, dass die Löcher übereinander liegen. Das mit den Löchern gilt natürlich auch für die "halben" Elemente.
Then glue the elements together as for the basket. At the complete parts take one strip from the left one from the right and so on and glue them down making the holes match. Of course the holes must also match on the half elements.
Klebt dann die jeweils gleichen Teile ineinander und schneidet die überstehenden Rundungen ab.
Then glue the two matching pieces into each other and cut off the half circles at the edge.
Schneidet nun rundum von dem halben Körbchen ein Stück ab. Wenn Ihr an der Stelle startet, an der die Rundungen der Streifen beginnen, dann passt dieser Teil von der Höhe her gut.
Now cut off a piece from and all around the half basket. Starting about where the round parts of the strips end leaves you a good size to fit into the basket.
Klebt nun das halbe Körbchen hochkant in das ganze.
Then glue the half basket turned 90° into the whole one.
Den aus weißem Cardstock gestanzten Griff habe ich hier in das halbe Körbchen - bzw den oberen Teil des Kinderwagens - geklebt. Das gibt eine schöne Verzierung.
Vom Deckel habe ich einen der Streifen abgeschnitten und ihn, etwas nach unten versetzt, in den unteren Teil des Kinderwagens geklebt. Auf der anderen Seite hält er von selbst und kann so auch noch aufgeklappt werden, so dass man unter der "Decke" auch noch etwas verstecken kann.
The handle, cut from white cardstock, is glued to the inside of the half basket - that now turned into the top of the stroller. It adds a nice touch.
From the lid I've cut off one of the side strips along the perforated lines and glued it into the stroller, putting it a bit lower than the brim of the stroller. It stays that way without adding glue to the other end which also leaves the chance to open the "blanket" and hide a little something underneath.
Nun fehlen nur noch vier Kreise als Räder - meine haben einen Durchmesser von etwa 2,5 cm. Die Löcher an den Seiten des Kinderwagens habe ich mit zwei kleinen Herzen überdeckt. Für den Griff habe ich einen Streifen Cardstock zugeschnitten und schräg in den Kinderwagen geklebt.
Now all you have to add are four circles as wheels - the ones I've used here are about 1". The holes in the sides of the strollers were covered with two little hearts. For the handle I've cut a strip of cardstock and glued it in an angle into the stroller.
Und schon ist aus dem Picknickkorb ein Kinderwagen geworden.
It's that easy to turn a picnic basket into a stroller.
