Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Auch wenn ich rein geburtstagstechnisch ein Winterkind bin - der Sommer ist mir trotzdem irgendwie lieber. Aber natürlich hat auch der Winter seine schönen Seiten. Eine davon ist, ohne schlechtes Gewissen weil im Garten Arbeit warten würde, den ganzen Tag mit einem guten Buch im Sessel zu sitzen. Und genau das habe ich auf meiner Karte, die ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige, dargestellt.

According to my birthday I'm a winter girl - but honestly, I like summer better. But of course winter has its nice sides as well. One of those is the chance to sit all day in a chair, sunken deeply in a good book and without having to feel bad because there'd be work to do in the garden. And that's exactly what I've made the theme of this card, that I am sharing over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today.
Der Hintergrund ist mit Distrress Oxide Hickory Smoke und Black Soot gewischt. Ich habe ihn aber erst nach dem Stempeln und Colorieren der Szene gwischt. Dann konnte ich sagen, wie groß das Oval um das Motiv sein durfte oder musste.
Die komplette Karte ist rot gemattet. Aus dem selben roten Cardstock habe ich das Happy gestanzt und darunter ein Winter Day, gestanzt mit den Caption Alphabet Stanzen aus türkis-grauem Cardstock, geklebt. Ein paar ganz leicht türkisblaue Nuvo Drops durften als einzige Deko mit auf die Karte.
The background is made with Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke and Black Soot. I've made that after stamping an coloring the scene because only then I was able to tell how big the oval around the image had to be.
The complete card is matted with red cardstock and I've used the same color to die cut the happy from. Under it I've added a die cut Winter Day, cut using the Caption Alphabet dies by MFT and grey-turquoise cardstock. A few very light turquoise Nuvo Drops are the only embellishment I've added.
Für das Motiv habe ich verschiedene Stempel aus dem Stempelset Cozy Companions von MFT kombiniert und mit Copics coloriert. Mit gelber Schimmer-Kreide habe ich noch gelbes Licht auf alle entsprechenden Kanten aufgetragen, das ist aber leider auf dem Bild nur an einigen Stellen wie dem Kopf des Fuchses oder der Lehne des Sessels zu erkennen.
For the image I've combined different stamps from the Cozy Companions stamp set by MFT and colored them with Copics. For the shine of the light I've used yellow shimmer chalk. Actually there are more areas highlighted with it, but on the photo you can only see it in a few spots like the fox's head or the chair.
