Auf dem Stampcorner-Blog zeige ich heute diese Karte mit einem der genialen Vögel aus dem Stempelset Funny Birds aus dem Dezember-Release. Die finde ich einfach zum Piepen!

Over at the Stampcorner Blog I am sharing this card with one of the great birds from the Funny Birds stamp set from their december release today. I think these are just too funny.
Ich habe hier ein Loch in ein Stück türisfarbenen Cardstock gerissen und die Enden rund um das Loch aufgerollt. Außerdem habe ich sie und auch die Ränder des Cardstocks ein wenig mit Distress Oxide Broken China gewischt. Zusätzlich habe ich einige Farbspritzer über der Karte verteilt.
Hinter das Loch habe ich ein Stück schwarzen Cardstock geklebt, der so groß ist, dass auch außen um den türkisfarbenen Cardstock ein schwarzer Rahmen entsteht.
I've teared a hole into a piece of turquoise cardstock and rolled up the pieces to create a frame around the hole. I also used Distress Oxide Broken China to ink up those rolls and the edges of the cardstock. Then I've flicked some ink over the paper to get some darker speckles.
Behind the hole I've glued a piece of black cardstock cutting it big enough to have a black frame around the turquoise paper.
Den Vogel habe ich ein wenig modifiziert - den Partyhut trägt eigentlich ein anderer Vogel aus dem Set, den habe ich diesem kleinen Kerlchen aufgesetzt. Und da so die zu Berge stehenden Haare nicht mehr gepasst haben, habe ich die vom Motiv abgeschnitten und unter dem Hut neu angeordnet wieder aufgeklebt.
Coloriert habe ich mit Copics. Der Kerl sieht so verpennt aus - diesen Eindruck wollte ich durch die leicht türkise Färbung rund um die Augen ein wenig verstärken.
Die Flügel habe ich am Körper eingeschnitten und dort zwei schmale Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks aufgeklebt. So kann der Vogel die Schilder halten. Dann habe ich ihn in das Loch geklebt.
Die Texte auf den Schildern sind aus dem selben Stempelset. Ich wollte das Grün des Vogels nochmal aufgreifen - und im nachhinein bin ich nicht sicher, ob die grünen Schilder nicht zu knallig sind. Aber da klebten sie schon auf der Karte.
Unter dem Loch habe ich auch noch ein paar Federn, auch aus dem Funny Birds Stempelset, aufgeklebt. Nun sieht es so aus, als hätte der Vogel vollkommen panisch ein Loch in die Wand geschlagen und dabei ein paar Federn gelassen. Und da steht er nun mit seinen Schildern. Kann man ihm bei dem Aussehen böse sein?
I've changed the bird a bit - a different bird from the set is originally wearing the party hat. I've cut it out and glued it onto this cutie's head. And since the hair, that stands up, didn't go right with the hat I've cut that off and re-arranged it under the hat.
Coloring is done with Copics. The little birds looks so sleepy - I wanted to intensify that look by adding some light blue color around his eyes.
I've cut a slit between the wings and the body and tucked two strips of black cardstock under the body. Now the bird is holding the signs. Then I've glued him inside the hole.
The text on the larger sign means "I missed it". In Germany we have a word that includes the word sleep, so the sleepy bird is perfect with this. I wanted to pick up the green from the bird again so I've stamped the texts onto some green cardstock. Well, maybe this is a bit too bright but when I realized it they were already glued onto the card.
Under the hole I've added a few feathers, also from the Funny Birds stamp set. Now it looks like the bird broke through the wall in a panic-y mood because he forgot about someones birthday. While doing so he lost a few of his feathers. And now he's standing there with those huge signs. But honestly, with his looks can anyone be angry at him?
Unter dem Loch habe ich noch einen weiteren Text angebracht. Dafür habe ich mehrere Stempel aus dem Stempelset Glückwunsch kombiniert und mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Das Glückwunsch habe ich außerdem noch mit dem Glitzer Gelly Pen von Sakura "ausgemalt".
I've added another text under the hole. It means "happy belated birthday" and is white heat embossed onto a strip of black cardstock. I've also filled the large word with a glitter Sakura Gel pen.
