Eine Karte voller Mohnblumen

Heute zeige ich auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog diese Karte mit dem neuen Poppies Background von MFT. In den habe ich mich auf Anhieb verliebt!

Today over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog I am sharing this card using the new Poppies Background stamp by MFT. I fell in love with this stamp immediately!

Hier habe ich den Hintergrund mit schwarzem Embossinpulver auf weißen Cardstock embosst. Dieses Stück habe ich dann schwarz gemattet und auf eine weiße Kartenbasis geklebt.

Here I've black heat embossed the background image onto white cardstock, then matted it black and glued it onto a white card base.

Dann habe ich die mittlere Größe der Label aus dem Stanzenset Blueprints 33 aus weißem Aquarellpapier gestanzt und dort ebenfalls einen Teil des Motives schwarz aufembosst. Vorher habe ich ein Stück Washi quer über das Label geklebt, so dass ich mittig einen weißen Streifen ohne Motiv erhalten habe. Dann habe ich das Label mit blauer, roter und grüner Aquarellfarbe coloriert. Ich war hier absichtlich nicht besonders auf Schatten etc aus, es sollte einfach farbenfroh werden.

Über den weißen Streifen in der Mitte des Labels habe ich ein schwarzes Banner, auf das ich mit weißem Embossingpulver einen der Texte aus dem Stempelset Well, Hello aufembosst habe, geklebt. Darüber kam ein Hello, gestanzt mit der Sweet Hello Stanze aus blauem und weißem Cardstock und leicht versetzt aufgeklebt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich das Label schwarz gemattet und mit 3D Tape so auf den Hintergrund geklebt, dass das Muster passt.

Then I've die cut the middle sized label from the Blueprints 33 die set from white watercolor paper and then black heat embossed the background onto it as well. Before I did that I've put a strip of Washi across the label to I'd end up with a white space with no image. Then I've colored the image in using blue, red and green watercolors. I wasn't after a fancy look with lots of shading here, I just wanted it to be colorful.

Onto the white strip in the middle I've glued a banner cut from black white cardstock onto which I've white heat embossed one of the sayings from the Well, Hello stamp set. Over it I've added a die cut hello, cut from white and blue cardstock using the Sweet Hello dies and then glued down slightly off.

In the end I've matted the label with black cardstock and glued it onto the white background using dimensionals, making sure to put it directly in the right spot of the image in the background.

Während des Bastelns habe ich überlegt ob es nicht besser gewesen wäre, den großen Hintergrund farbig und den auf dem Label weiß zu lassen. Das hat mir dann keine Ruhe gelassen, und so habe ich diese Variante auch noch gewerkelt. Und was soll ich sagen, so gefällt sie mir tatsächlich besser.

While putting the card together I thought that maybe it would have been better to color in the larger background and leave the label black and white. I didn't get that idea out of my head and so I sat down and made this version as well. And what should I say - I really like it better this way.

Die Karte ist absolut identisch gewerkelt. Ich habe - außer dem Tausch der colorierten und nicht-colorierten Bereiche - nur den Text nicht aufgedoppelt und den weißen Streifen quer über das Labe etwas schmaler gemacht. Und, was meint Ihr - welcher Version findet Ihr besser?

This card is made completly identicaly. The only changes I did - besides switching the colored and non-colored areas - is not doubling up the saying and making the white area across the label a tad bit smaller. So, now you have to decide for yourself - which one do you like better?
