Heute zeige ich Euch meinen Schrank. Naja, natürlich nicht meinen echten, ich habe einen aus Papier für Euch gewerkelt. Er ist mal nicht 3D, aber hat es trotzdem in sich. Und es versteckt sich eine weitere Neuheit von JM-Creation darin.

I want to show you my closet today. Well, not my real one, I've made one from paper for you. It's not 3D but still has a special something. And there's another item from the new release by JM Creation hiding in it.
Für den Schrank habe ich einen normalen Kartenrohling aus braunem Cardstock geschnitten und dann mit dem Holzhintergrund in dunkelbraun bestempelt. Da mein Schrank einen kleinen antiken Touch bekommen sollte, habe ich dann ein weißes Stempelkissen ein paar Mal leicht über die Oberfläche gezogen.
Die Form des Schrankes war mit dem größten der Variablen Tags ganz einfach gemacht. Ich habe das untere Ende des Tags über Kopf mittig unten aus dem Rohling gestanzt, das obere Ende oben mittig. Dann habe ich nur noch die Seiten bis auf Höhe des ersten Bogens weggeschnitten.
Die Türen habe ich einfach mit einem Cutter ausgeschnitten und außerdem
ein wenig dekoriert. Ich habe das Label aus dem Stanzenset Briefkasten Mini
einmal normal aus ebenfalls mit dem Holzhintergrund bestempeltem
Cardstock gestanzt, einmal per Partial Die-Cutting verlängert. Diese
Teile habe ich dann mit 3D Tape auf die Tür geklebt. Und die oberen
Kassetten in der Tür habe ich noch mit einem türkisfarbenem Herz aus dem
Stanzenset Gebrochenes Herz dekoriert. Oh, und ein Verschluss musste
auch noch her. Einen Magneten hätte ich nicht wirklich verdeckt
anbringen können. Also habe ich zu diesem silbernen Verschluss
gegriffen. Der passt zwar nicht 100 %ig zum antiken Schranklook, aber er
hält und lässt sich trotzdem leicht öffnen. Dann habe ich alle Teile
auch noch ein wenig mit brauner Tinte an den Rändern gewischt.
For the closet I've cut a regular note card from brown cardstock and then stamped the wood pattern onto it with dark brown ink. I wanted my closet to have a slight antique look so I've lightly wiped over the cardstock with a white ink pad several times.
The shape of the closet was very easy to make. I've used the largest of the Variable Tags. These are divided into one die each for the bottom and top. I've die cut the bottom upside down from the bottom of the card, the top from the top, making sure to cut them right in the middle. Then I only needed to cut off the top parts that were higher than the first arch.
I've used a cutter to add the doors to the closet and also added some decorations to them. I've die cut a label from brown cardstock, that I've also stamped the wood pattern onto, and then did some partial die cutting to cut another, larger one. Then I've glued those pieces to the doors with dimensionals. Onto the top label I've glued two turquoise hearts. Oh, and of course I needed a closure for my doors. I didn't find a way to hide some magnets so I've used one of those metall pieces instead. They don't go perfectly with the antique look of the closet but they are easy to open and hold the doors closed. Then I've inked up the edges of all parts a bit for some more contrast.
Hört Ihr das Quietschen? Die Schranktüren öffnen sich langsam...

So, und wer seinen Kindern nie geglaubt hat, dass ein Monster im Schrank wohnt: es stimmt! Hier ist der Beweis!

Diese Monster sind auch noch so gemein und nähen nachts die Kleider enger! Mich wundert nichts mehr...
Ich habe das Monster ebenfalls auf braunen Cardstock gestempelt und mit Prismacolors coloriert. Den Text habe ich dann darunter weiß embosst. Der Cardstock ist innen gegen den Deckel der Karte geklebt, so dass sich diese noch ganz normal öffnen lässt.
Those monster's are really mean. They sneak into your closet in the night and sew your clothes tighter. Well, that explains a lot. And that's also what the saying means.
I've stamped the monster onto brown cardstock and colored it with Prismacolor pencils. Then I've white heat embossed the saying under it. I've glued the cardstock to the inside of the card so it still can be opened like any regular card.
