Mach es gut

Eine Freundin fragte mich vor kurzem nach einer Karte zum Abschied einer Kollegin "mit Hufeisen und Pferd". Die Karte kam nie zustande, da es recht kurzfristig und ich im Urlaub war. Aber da war dann diese Herausforderung in meinem Kopf. Vor allem das Pferd hat mich herausgefordert - und so habe ich kurzerhand doch eine Karte mit diesen Vorgaben gemacht, einfach so zum Spaß. Und hier ist sie.

A  little ago a friend asked me for a card for a leaving co-worker - "with horseshoe and a horse". Well, that card never happened because it was quite on short notice and I was on vacation. But there was this challenge in my head - especially the horse was one. So I decided to make see if I can come up with a card with these parameters, just for fun. And here it is.

 

Nun, man mag bei Pferd an Wiesen und Natur denken. Meine Karte ist eher elegant und Ton-in-Ton ausgefallen. Aber mir gefällt sie.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks, in den ich unten mit der Jumbled Line Collage Stanze von Memorybox schmale vertikale Streifen gestanzt habe. Durch Partial Die Cutting habe ich sie auf eine hochkantige Karte angepasst - dann habe ich die Stanze etwas weiter nach oben geschoben und erneut gestanzt um die Streifen etwas länger zu machen. Auf den Cardstock habe ich dann hell-goldene Metallic Watercolor gespritzt und ihn mit 3D Tape auf ein Stück cremefarbenen Cardstock geklebt. So sind die Streifen ganz dezent, aber dennoch machen sie den Hintergrund interessanter.

Well, when you think of horses you might think of meadows and nature first. My card is more of an elegant tone in tone card. But I really like it.

The background is made from a piece of white cardstock, that I cut some vertical stripes with the Jumbled Line Collage die by Memorybox of at the bottom. I did some partial diecutting to make it fit a portrait card, then moved the die up a bit and cut it again to make the strips a bit taller. I then splattered some light gold metallic watercolor onto the cardstock and glued it with foam tape to a piece of cream colored cardstock. This way the strips are very subtle but still make the background a lot more interesting.

Ich habe den Text auf der Karte zum Hauptelement. Mit dem Impact Alphabet von MFT habe ich die Buchstaben für das Worte Gute gestanzt - zweimal aus weißem Cardstock und einmal aus goldenem Schimmer-Cardstock. Statt des U habe ich mich für ein Hufeisen, gestanzt aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock mit einer Stanze von Kulricke, entschieden. Von denen ist auch das Banner mit dem ausgestanzten "mach es gut". Der obere Teil ist hier wieder aus dem Schimmer-Cardstock, der untere Teil aus cremefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt. 

Und dann kamen die Pferde ins Spiel. Bis auf ein, zwei Bauernhof-Sets habe ich tatsächlich keine Pferde in meinem Fundus, und die passten hier nicht. Aber dann fiel mir das Little Unicorn Agenda Set von MamaElephant ein. Ohne Horn gehen die doch perfekt als Pferde durch und auch von der Größe her waren sie perfekt. Ich habe vier davon abgestempelt, mit Copics coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Dabei habe ich das Horn weggeschnitten und den Ansatz mit einem weißen Gelstift überdeckt. 

Die kleinen, weiß auf braunen Cardstock embossten Texte sind aus dem Set Zur Hochzeit Revers von Kulricke. 

I made the text the main element on my card. With the Impact Alphabet die set by MFT I die cut the letters for the word Gute - the whole text means "all the best for your future" with a "farewell" on the bannner - twice from white cardstock and once from gold shimmer cardstock. Instead of the U I went with a horseshoe, die cut from gold mirror cardstock using a die by Kulricke. By them is also the banner - I cut the top layer from the gold shimmer cardstock, the base from cream cardstock.

And then I brought in the horses. I only have one or two farm related stamp sets with horses, and those didn't fit here. But then I remembered the Little Unicorn Agenda set by MamaElephant. Without the horn those make perfect horses and they were perfect in size as well. I stamped four of them, colored them with Copics and cut them out. While cutting them out I cut off the horns and covered the little black lines they left directly at the heads with a white gel pen.

The small, white onto brown cardstock embossed texts are by Kulricke.

Ich habe alle Elemente auf dem Hintergrund angeordnet und dabei einige Teile wieder mit 3D Tape hinterlegt. An das Hufeisen habe ich eine kleine Schleife aus weißem Twine gebunden.

Als Deko habe ich drei weiße Herzen sowie einige weiße Perlen auf dem Cardstock verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I arranged all the elements on the background and put foam tape behind a few of them again. To the horseshoe I tied a little bow from white twine.

I added three white hearts and a few white pearls as decoration and then adhered the card panel to a white note card.
