August Technique Throwback Thursday Challenge

In der August-Challenge in der Share Handmade Kindness Gruppe geht es um ein Video über Faux Textured Stamping. Und wiedermal hat mich das Video aus meiner Komfortzone bzw. aus meiner üblichen Art des Stempelns herausgeholt. Hier ist mein Ergebnis.

The august challenge in the Share Handmade Kindness group has a video abou Faux Textured Stamping as the theme. And once again it brought me out of my comfort zone or at least my usual way of stamping. This is my result.

Heute machen wir schon mal einen kleinen Ausflug in den Herbst... 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks, auf den ich mit weißer Stempelfarbe den Floating Petals Background von MFT aufgestempelt habe. Dann habe, ganz angelehnt an die Karten, die Jennifer McGuire in ihrem Video macht, hier etwas Interference Perfect Pearls aufgetupft. Das schimmert nicht nur toll, es schlägt auch die Brücke zu dem grünen Cardstock, den ich für meinen Text verwendet habe.

Today we are going on a little time travel and have a trip into fall...

The background I made from a piece of white cardstock, that I stamped the Floating Petals Background by MFT onto with white pigment ink. Then I added Interference Perfect Pearls on top, inspired by the cards Jennifer McGuire makes in her video. The perfect pearls not only adds a wonderful shimmer, it also works as some kind of bridge to the green cardstock I used for my text.

Auch für den Kartenaufleger habe ich erst den Floating Petals Background weiß auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt. Dann habe ich mit braun-oranger, braun-grauer und sand farbener Tinte die Blätter daraufgestempelt. Die sind aus dem Stempelset Fall Florals von Clearly Besotted. Sie sind ein wenig Vintage mit unterbrochenen Stellen, aber ich finde, das bringt den Effekt dieser Stempeltechnik noch besser zur Geltung. Auf/in den Blättern kann man den zuvor weiß aufgestempelten Hintergrund sehen, der sonst auf dem weißen Cardstock eher dezent sichtbar ist.

Das Perfect Pearls, das ich nach dem Betupfen vom Cardstock abgewischt habe, habe ich dann mit ein wenig Wasser vermischt und auf den Blätterhintergrund gespritzt.

Mit einer der Rectangle Stitch Stanzen von Stampcorner habe ich dann ein Stück des Hintergrunds ausgestanzt und minzfarben hinterlegt.

For the card topper I again stamped the Floating Petals Background with white ink onto white cardstock. Then I used orange-brown, brown-grey and sand colored ink to stamp the leaves on top. Those are from the Fall Florals stamp set by Clearly Besotted. They have some kind of vintage touch and I think, that brings out the effect of this stamping technique even more. On/in the leaves you can see the previously white stamped background, on the rest of the cardstock it's very subtle.

The Perfect Pearls I brushed off my cardstock I mixed with a bit of water and splattered that onto the cardstock with the stamped on leaves.

I used one of the dies from the Rectangle Stitch dies by Stampcorner to cut a piece out of my background, then matted it with some mint colored cardstock.

Für den Text habe ich, wieder aus minzgrünem Cardstock, den Giant Happy Fall Text von LawnFawn ausgestanzt. Ich habe ihn viermal ausgestanzt. Drei der Texte habe ich direkt aufeinander geklebt. Den vierten habe ich erst in mein Versamark-Kissen gedrückt und dann auch hier das Perfect Pearls Puder aufgetupft. Dann habe ich die beschimmerte Lage ein wenig versetzt auf die anderen Texte geklebt. Durch das Schimmerpuder wirkt der obere Cardstock ein klein wenig dunkler und setzt sich dadurch vom Text darunter ab.

So ganz ohne Motive konnte ich dann doch nicht. Also habe ich die Pilze, zwei Blätter sowie die Eichel aus dem Enchanted Forest Stempelset von Impronte d'Autore mit brauner Tinte abgestempelt und dann mit Copics coloriert. Dabei habe ich versucht, die Farben an die Blätter im Hintergrund anzupassen.

For the text I die cut the Giant Happy Fall text by LawnFawn, again from the mint colored cardstock. I die cut it four times and stacked three of them. The forth I first pressed into my Versamark ink pad, then covered it with Perfect Pearls powder again. Then I glued this die cut as the top layer onto the stacked ones, setting it a bit off. The shimmer powder makes it appear slightly darker and so there's some contrast to the die cuts underneath.

And I just couldn't go without an image. So I stamped the mushrooms, two leaves and the acorn from the Enchanted Forest set by Impronte d'Autore with brown ink and colored them with my Copics, trying to make the colors match the ones I used for the leaves on the background.

Um den bestempelten und gematteten Cardstock habe ich dann erst etwas orangefarbenes Twine gewickelt und zu einer Schleife gebunden. Dann habe ich den Text und die Motive darüber aufgeklebt. Seht Ihr den Schimmer auf dem Text? 

Als Deko habe ich noch ein paar matt-goldene Perlen hinzugefügt. 

Den Cardstock mit den Blättern habe ich dann mit 3D Tape auf den ebenfalls bestempelten und beschimmerten weißen Cardstock geklebt.

I wrapped a piece of orange twine around the stamped and matted cardstock and tied it to a bow. Then I glued the text and images to the cardstock. Can you see the shimmer on the text?

As decoration I added a few matte gold pearls.

Then I adhered the cardstock with the leaves with foam tape to the white cardstock, that I stamped on and added the Perfect Pearls.
