Heute zeige ich Euch die zweite Geburtstagskarte mit dem leicht abgewandelten Bären aus dem Twinkle Twinkle Set von MFT. Diesmal hängt er von einem Folienballon herab.

Today I am sharing with you the second birthday card with the, slightly altered, bear from the Twinkle Twinkle set by MFT. This time he's dangling from a foil balloon.
Den Hintergrund habe ich mit dem Ballonnen-Set von CarlijnDesign gemacht. Das Set enthält eine Ansammlung von Luftballons im Slimline-Format. Um ihn auf meine Hochkant-Karte anzupassen, habe ich von unten angefangen die Ballonreihe dreimal übereinander gestempelt und die bereits gestempelten Ballons jeweils mit Masking Tape abgedeckt. Durch die Länge des Stempels kann man ihn super versetzen und es sind nicht lauter identische Ballons übereinander. Ich habe sie mit weißem Embossingpulver auf Watercolor Cardstock embosst und dann mit ZIGs coloriert. Ich habe 12 verschiedene Marker in Grün- und Blautönen verwendet.
Nach dem Trocknen habe ich goldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.
I made the background using the Ballonnen stamp set by CarlijnDesign. This set contains a cluster of balloons in a slimline size. To make it fit my portrait oriented card I started at the bottom and stamped three rows of balloons, masking off the already stamped portions. Due to the width of this image you can easily move the stamp so you don't end up with identical balloons on top of each other. I white heat embossed the balloons onto watercolor cardstock, then colored them with my ZIGs. I used 12 different markers in greens and blues.
After the color had dried I splattered some gold metallic watercolor onto the background.
Bär und Ballon sind mit Copics coloriert. Für den Bären habe ich diesmal ein ganz helles, gelbliches Braun gewählt. Dannn habe ich ihn per Hand ausgeschnitten.
Bear and balloon I colored with Copics. For the bear I picked a very light, yellow-ish brown here. Then I cut him out with my scissors.

Der Folienballon ist aus dem Set Happy Day Balloons von WhimsyStamps. Ich habe lange überlegt - und mit verschiedenen Buchstabenstempeln rumprobiert - welcher Text auf den Ballon passen würde. Dann fielen mir die Magic Messages von LawnFawn ein. Und die passen perfekt in den Ballon, der eigentlich blank ist. Also habe ich das Happy Birthday auf den Ballon gestempelt und ihn dann coloriert.
Das Birthday war schwarz gestempelt und auf dem dunklen Ballon, vor allem im Vergleich zum gelb colorierten Happy, nicht wirklich gut sichtbar. Also habe ich nur das Wort Birthday nochmal gold über den schwarzen Text embosst. Und damit er optisch etwas besser zum Happy passt, habe ich mit einem ganz feinen, schwarzen Multiliner schwarze Outlines um die Embossinglinien herum aufgemalt.
Und weil ich noch irgendeinen anderen Text auf der Karte haben wollte, der aber die Szene nicht komplett dominieren sollte, habe ich noch das Alles Gute Fähnchen von Kulricke aus Vellum gestanzt und an der Schnur angebracht.
The foil balloon is from the Happy Day Balloons set by WhimsyStamps. I thought really long - and did some testing with different letter stamps - which text would fit on the balloon. Then I remembered the Magic Messages by LawnFawn. And those fit perfectly onto the originally empty balloon. So I stamped the Happy Birthday onto the balloon, then colored it.
The word birthday I had stamped in black and on the dark balloon it wasn't as visible as I wanted, especially compared to the yellow colored happy. So I gold heat embossed only the word birthday over the black stamped word. And to make it match the look of the word happy a bit better I used a very fine black Multiliner and drew some black outlines around the embossed word.
I also wanted some other text on this card that I didn't want to take over the scene. So I die cut a little banner with a cut out "congratulations" from vellum and adhered it to the rope.
Und dann wollte ich meine Szene natürlich noch zusätzlich etwas füllen.
Zuerst habe ich mit Stanzen aus dem Spring Showers Set von LawnFawn Wolken aus Vellum gestanzt.
Außerdem habe ich einige Luftschlangen, ebenfalls aus dem Happy Day Balloons Set, coloriert. Die habe ich zuerst mit hellbrauner Tinte abgestempelt und dann mit Copics, farblich passend zum Bären, quasi No-Line coloriert. Dann habe ich die Außenlinien nochmal gold darüber embosst. So brauchte ich keine Angst haben das Embossingpulver mit einzufärben. Dann habe ich auch die Luftschlangen, diesmal genau an den embossten Linien, ausgeschnitten.
And of course I wanted to fill my scene a bit.
First I used dies from the Spring Showers die set by LawnFawn to die cut some clouds from vellum.
I also colored a few streamers, also from the Happy Day Balloons set. I first stamped these with light brown ink and colored them with Copics pretty much no-line, matching them with the color of the bear. Then I gold heat embossed the outlines again. This way I don't have to be afraid to accidently color the embossinpowder. Then I cut the streamers out with my scissors, this time exactly along the embossed lines.
Zum Aufkleben der Elemente habe ich teilweise Flüssigkleber teilweise dünnes und teilweise dicked 3D Tape verwendet. Das war hinter den Luftschlangen etwas frickelig aber die Arbeit wert.
Als Deko habe ich noch einige goldene Stern-Konfetti zwischen den Luftschlangen verteilt, dann den dekorierten Cardstock dunkel-türkis gemattet und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
To attach the elements I used liquid glue, thin foam tape and thick foam tape. It was a bit tricky to hide the foam tape behind those thin streamers but definately worth the work.
I added a few gold star confetti between the streamers, then matted the card panel with some dark turquoise cardstock and adhered it to a white note card.
