Karte mit Einhorn

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Achtung, heute wird es pink! Aber zu so einem Einhorn passt das doch perfekt und so habe ich davon jede Menge auf dieser Karte, die ich heute auf dem Stampcorner Blog zeige, verwendet.

Caution, it's getting pink today! But I think, this is the perfect color to go with a unicorn and so I used quite a lot of it on this card, that I'm sharing over on the Stampcorner Blog today.

Von meiner letzten Karte hatte ich noch die Shimmer Powders von Nuvo auf dem Tisch und dachte mir, dass die zu einem Einhorn natürlich auch gut passen würden. Also habe ich den Hintergrund mit Sunray Crossette, Fantail Firecracker und Cherry Bomb gestaltet. Diesmal ganz gewöhnlich, indem ich etwas von dem Pulver auf einem Stück Watercolor Cardstock verteilt und das dann mit Wasser besprüht habe, bis die Farben schön verlaufen. 

Nach dem Trocknen habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Mit den selben Farben - diesmal nicht gemischt - habe ich auch jeweils einen von drei Bögen eines Regenbogens eingefärbt, den ich später hinter das Einhorn gesetzt habe. Den Regenbogen habe ich mit einer Stanze aus dem Array of Rainbows Set von WhimsyStamps gemacht.

From my last card I still had the Shimmer Powders by Nuvo on my desk and thought, that shimmer and a unicorn would go great together as well. So I created the background with Sunray Crossette, Fantail Firecracker and Cherry Bomb. This time I worked as intended with those powders: I put some of it onto a piece of watercolor cardstock and sprayed water on top until the colors run into each other.

After the background had dried I splattered some white acrylic paint on top.

Using the same color - this time not mixed - I colored one each of three rays of a rainbow, that I put behind the unicorn later. I made the rainbow using a die from the Array of Rainbows set by WhimsyStamps.

Das Einhorn habe ich dann mit Copics farblich zum Hintergrund passend coloriert und die bunten Teile mit Stickles beglittert.

Und weil ich nur Mähne, Schweif und Horn bunt haben wollte, habe ich den Rest des Einhorns weiß coloriert und mit einem weißen Gelstift sowie einem schwarzen Multiliner Nähte zwischen die anderen Bereiche aufgemalt. Nun sieht es fast ein wenig wie ein Stofftier aus.

I used Copics to color the unicorn in colors matching my background and added Stickles to the colored areas.

I only wanted the mane, tail and horn and kept the rest of the image white. Then I used a white gel pen and a black Multiliner to draw stitches to connect the other pieces of the image and make it look like a stuffed animal.

Damit das Einhorn etwas zum Darauf-Stehen hat, habe ich eine Wolke aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und das Einhorn darauf befestigt.

Der Text auf meiner Karte ist ebenfalls aus dem Stempelset. Ich habe die ersten beiden Zeilen und das Wort Einhorn getrennt gestempelt. Die beiden Textstreifen habe ich über dem Einhorn angeklebt, das Wort Einhorn habe ich mit etwas Abstand zu den Stempellinien ausgeschnitten und unter dem Einhorn auf die Wolke geklebt. Zufällig passen das E und die Rundung der Wolke quasi perfekt zusammen.

To give the unicorn something to stand on I die cut a cloud from white cardstock and glued the unicorn onto it.

The text on the card means "when everything goes wrong, hug a unicorn". I adhered the first two lines above the unicorn to the background. The word unicorn I cut out close to the stamped lines and adhered it under the unicorn onto the cloud. As a happy accident the rounding of the E and the one of the cloud are nearly a perfect match.

Ihr habt es bestimmt schon vorher gesehen: auf meiner Karte befindet sich noch eine weitere Lage. Da sich das Einhorn, vor allem die bunten Teile, nicht sonderlich gut vom Hintergrund abgehoben haben, habe ich noch den Wonky Stitch Window aus Vellum gestanzt und als Zwischenlage eingefügt. 

Ich habe alle Elemente mit 3D Tape auf dem Vellum befestigt und dann hinter das Vellum, an den Stellen, an denen man es nicht sieht, ebenfalls 3D Tape angebracht. So liegt das Vellum nicht direkt auf dem Hintergrund auf und dämpft ihn so mehr.

Als Deko habe ich noch Sterne aus hell-goldenem Schimmer-Cardstock ausgestanzt und überall auf der Karte verteilt. Dann habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

You for sure did mention it before. there's another layer on this card. Since the unicorn, especially the colorful pieces, didn't stand out enough from the background I decided to die cut the Wonky Stitch Window die from Vellum and added that as a layer inbetween. 

I adhered all elements with foam tape to the vellum, then put more foam tape behind the vellum, placing it in the areas that you don't see. Now the vellum is a bit raised as well and tones the background down a bit more.

I cut stars from light gold shimmer cardstock and added those all over the card as decoration. Then I attached the card panel to a white note card.
