Nachts auf dem Friedhof

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Auch wenn es so aussehen mag - das ist noch keine Halloweenkarte! Aber habt Ihr Euch schon mal gefragt, wer jeden Abend den Mond an den Himmel klebt, was nachts auf dem Friedhof passiert und was Gespenster an Nicht-Halloween so treiben? Auf dieser Karte zeige ich es Euch.

Even if it might look like that - this is not a Halloween card! But have you ever wondered, who hangs the moon onto the sky every night, what happens at night on the graveyard and what ghosts do on those Not-Halloween days? I am showing all of this on this card.

Letzten Freitag war Release-Tag bei Create a Smile und bei Herbststempeln und Gespensters konnte ich einfach nicht nein sagen... Und so habe ich, nachdem meine Bestellung ankam, tatsächlich sogar zeitgleich an zwei Karten gearbeitet - hauptsächlich, weil bei einer immer wieder Pasten etc. trocknen mussten. Und die Gespenster-Karte hat es als erste auf meinen Blog geschafft.

 

Last friday was release day at Create a Smile and I just couldn't resist fall stamps and ghosts... After  my order had arrived I even worked on two cards at the same time, mostly because on one of them I always had to wait for pastes etc. to dry. The ghost card then made it first on my blog.

Ich habe hier ein Stück hellgrauen Cardstock genommen und darauf das Negativ des Baum-Stencils und die Kante mit den Kreuzen des Geisterstunde-Stencils - beide übrigens ebenfalls neu - aufgelegt. Den Rest des Cardstocks habe ich abgedeckt und dann zuerst den Himmel mit den Oxide Sprays Uncharted Mariner, Villanous Potion und Black Soot gesprüht. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich dann weiße Acrylfarbe als Sterne aufgespritzt. 

Außerdem habe ich mit weißer Pigmentfarbe Wolken - alle gewischten Elemente bis auf den Baum sind im Stencil Geisterstunde enthalten - auf den Himmel gewischt und mit schwarzer Tinte einige Fledermäuse aus dem Set Abhängen aufgestempelt.

Dann habe ich den Baum gestaltet. Den hatte ich zuerst mit Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire und Black Soot gewischt. Aber irgendwie verschwand er optisch im Himmel. Da Hickory Smoke das ganze auch nicht besser gemacht hat, habe ich ihn kurzerhand mit schwarzer Paste aufgestencilt. 

Here I started with a piece of light grey cardstock and put the negativ of the  tree-stencil and the edge with the crosses of the Geisterstunde stencil - all elements except the tree are made with this - onto the cardstock and covered the bottom of the cardstock. Then I sprayed the sky with Distress Oxide Sprays Uncharted Mariner, Villanous Potion and Black Soot. After the ink had dried I splattered some white acrylic paint onto the sky to create some stars.

I also used white pigment ink to stencil some clouds onto the sky and used black ink to stamp some small bats from the Hang Out set.

Then I created the tree. First I had inked it with Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot, but it somehow got lost in the sky. After trying to lighten it up with some Hickory Smoke didn't make me happy I simply used black paste to stencil it down.

Dann habe ich den Friehof gestaltet, von dem man jetzt gar nicht mal mehr so viel sieht. Nun, im Geisterstunde-Stencil sind (leider) die Negative der Grabsteine nicht enthalten. Also habe ich die Formen mit einem Stift auf Folie übertragen und mit der Schere ausgeschnitten. Nicht perfekt, aber so konnte ich meine Grabsteine leicht überlappend aufwischen. Sie sind mit Hickory Smoke und Black Soot gemacht, dann habe ich einige Linien mit einem schwarzen Fineliner augemalt, damit und einem weißen Gelstift etwas Struktur auf die Steine gemalt und außerdem kleine Texte wie "bei dir spukts wohl" aus den Sets Abhängen und Der Herbst ist Da mit schwarzer Tinte als Garbsteininschriften aufgestempelt. Den Boden rund um die Grabsteine und auch den Bereich dahinter habe ich dann mit Scorched Timber und Black Soot gewischt.

Tja und hier sind die kleinen Gespenster. Sie sind es nämlich, die den Mond jeden Abend aufhängen und morgens wieder einfangen. Der ist immer gut gesichert, er neigt nämlich zum Ausbrechen. Das Gespenst links hält den Mond und die Schlüssel für den Kerker gut fest, das Gespenst in der Mitte sorgt für ein wenig Licht und hält die Kette, mit der der Mond normalerweise gesichert und am Boden gehalten wird, fest. Und der Geist links hält die kleine Katze, die irgendwie immer zwischen den nicht-vorhanden Füßen rumstreicht, wodurch der Mond doch tatsächlich schon das oder andere Mal entwischt ist! 

Die Gespenster aus dem Set Gespenstisch Gut habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver auf Vellum embosst und von der Rückseite mit Polychromos ein wenig hellblau schattiert. Die Elemente wie Mond, Katze, Laterne und Kette habe ich zusätzlich mit schwarzer Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Dann habe ich sie direkt an den Stempellinien ausgeschnitten und zurück an ihren Platz auf dem Vellum-Motiv geklebt. Denn die sind ja nicht durchsichtig, wie die Gespenster. Außerdem erhält man so Bereiche hinter dem Motiv, hinter denen man den Kleber verstecken kann. Die Augen habe ich dann noch mit einem schwarzen Glaze-Pen nachgemalt - der ist leider auf dem weißen Embossingpulver ein wenig verlaufen, so dass vor allem der Geist mit dem Mond aussieht, als hätte er Wimpern...

Den Mond habe ich noch mit einem klaren Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen beglittert.

Ich habe die Gespenster aufgeklebt und dafür hinter einem der Grabsteine einen Schlitz geschnitten, durch den ich einen der Geister zur Hälfte geschoben habe. 

Im Bereich hinter den Grabsteinen habe ich dann noch einige Augen verteilt. Ja, das Gefühl trügt nicht, man wird auf dem Friedhof tatsächlich immer beobachtet...

Then I created the graveyard, which you don't see too much of anymore. Well, the negatives of the gravestones (sadly) aren't included in the Geisterstunde stencil. So I traced the shapes with a pencil onto acetate and cut them out with my scissors. They are not perfect, but this way I was able to let my gravestones oberlap. I inked those with Hickory Smoke and Black Soot, then added some details with a black fineliner, structur with a black fineliner and white gel pen and stamped little texts like "I think you're haunted" with black ink  onto the stones as inscriptions. The soil around the gravestones and the area behind them I inked with Scorched Timber and Black Soot.

Well, and here are the little ghosts. It's them who hang up the moon every evening and catch it again in the morning. The moon is always secured very well, because it loves to escape. The ghost on the left is carrying in the moon and the keys for the dungeon the moon is kept in, the ghost in the middle is making a bit of light and also carrying the chain, that the moon is secured with and that keeps it on the ground due to its weight. And the ghost on the left takes care of the little cat, that's always between the non-existent legs what actually led the moon escaping several times because the ghosts tumbled over the cat.

I white heat embossed the ghosts from the Gespenstisch Gut stamp set onto vellum and used Polychromos to shade them on the backside with a light blue. The elements like moon, cat, lantern and chain I also stamped with black ink onto white cardstock and colored them with Copics, then cut them out directly along the stamped lines. I glued those back in place on the vellum images because of course these aren't transparent like the ghosts. That also leaves spots to hide the glue that's used to adhere the ghosts. I used a black glaze pen to make the eyes black - the color didn't stay on the eyes but ran out some so now - especially on the ghost with the moon - it looks as if the ghosts have eye lashes...

I added some glimmer to the moon using a clear Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen.

I glued the ghosts to the scene and cut a slit along one of the gravestones where I tucked one of the ghosts in halfways.

To the area behind the gravestones I added a few eyes. Yes, your  feeling isn't wrong, you actually get watched when visiting a graveyard!

Ach so, und dann fehlte noch ein Text. Irgendwie passte der einfach nirgendwo hin und einen Halloweentext wolle ich eh nicht, was also sonst? Also habe ich einfach noch die Buh-Sprechblase aus dem Gespenstisch Gut Set weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt. Und zwar so, dass das Buh nicht etwa von einem Geist, sondern von einer der Kreaturen, die sich im Hintergrund verstecken, kommt. Gespenster sind nämlich eigentlich ganz lieb!

Und wie Ihr hier sehen könnt, ist die Karte absolut flach, nicht ein einziges Stücken 3D Tape habe ich benutzt! Zum Schluss habe ich nur noch alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Well, and then I needed a text. But there was no place I liked it. I also didn't want a Halloween text, but what else? So I simply white heat embossed the BOO speech bubble from the Gespenstisch Gut set onto black cardstock, cut it out and glued it down. And I did not let a ghost say that, no, the word comes from one of the creatures hiding in the back. Ghosts are actually very kind creatures!

And as you can see here is this a totally flat card. I didn't add a single piece of foam tape! I only adhered my card panel to a white note card as the last step.
