Für den Chef die Zweite

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Vorgestern habe ich Euch ja bereits die Karte gezeigt, die unser Chef zum runden Geburtstag bekommen hat. Nun war eigentlich ein Geschenk für sein Hobby geplant. Von dem hat aber von uns so niemand eine wirkliche Ahnung und es ging so weit, dass wir uns nicht mal sicher waren, wo man dafür am besten einkauft. Also haben wir uns für ein Geldgeschenk entschieden. Da war die Karte aber schon fertig und Platz für Geld war nicht eingeplant. Ich konnte die Karte auch nicht modifizieren um noch Geld unterzubringen. Also habe ich kurzerhand noch einen Spielautomaten gebaut.

Two days ago I showed you the card I made for our boss' milestone birthday. We originally had planned to buy something for his hobbe. But it turned out, that no one of us knows really much about it and we even weren't unsure where to shop for it. So we decided to give him the money instead. At this point I had already finished the card, putting money into it wasn't planned originally. I even wasn't able to modify the card to put it onto. So I decided to make a slot machine to put the money into.

 

 Den Automaten selbst habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock gemacht und mit grauem Designpapier mit weißen Sternen/Strahlen beklebt.

Zu dem Spielautomaten hatte ich  beim Stempeleinmaleins mal eine Anleitung geschrieben, damals als Geldautomat. Ich habe ihn hier ein wenig modifiziert und die Platte mit den Knöpfen gerade und nicht schräg gemacht. Aber das Grundprinzip ist das selbe.

 

I made the slot machine from black cardstock and covered it with grey patterned paper with a star pattern.

I made a tutorial for this slot machine quite some time ago for Stempeleinmaleins - back then it was an ATM. I changed it a bit here by making the area with the buttons straight instead of slanted but the base is the same.

 

 Es gibt einen dieser Spielautomaten, der Lucky 7 heißt - drei 7 in einer Reihe und man hat gewonnen. Natürlich musste ich das passend zum 50 Geburtstag abändern.

Oben auf den Automaten habe ich einen Halbkreis aus hellblauem Cardstock geklebt. Auf den habe ich erst einige etwas dunkelere Strahlen aufgewischt und dann am Rand einen Teil eines Rings, gestanzt aus mattsilbernem Metallic-Cardstock, aufgeklebt. Darauf kam dann der Name meines Spielautomaten. Das Lucky ist aus dem Lovely Layers Playing Cards Set von HoneyBeeStamps. Ich habe es aus dunkler blauem Cardstock, die Zahl 50 aus glänzend silbernem Metallic-Cardstock  gestanzt. Beides habe ich mit einem schwarzen Schatten versehen. Und weil zwischen dem L und dem Y ein etwas eigenartiger freier Platz war, habe ich dort drei silberne Sterne aufgeklebt.

Auf die Drehräder auf der Maschine, die einfach aus einer beklebten Cardstockrolle besteht,  habe ich dreimal die Zahl 50 aus silbernem Cardstock aufgeklebt und darunter eine frei Hand gemalte Zackenblase gesetzt.

Über und unter den Zahlen, nur ein wenig zu erkennen, habe ich dann noch Früchte - Kirschen, Zitrone und Erdbeere, aufgeklebt.

 

There's a slot machine named Lucky 7 - three 7 in a row and you win. Of course I had to make it fit the 50th birthday.

On top of the machine I put a half circle, cut from light blue cardstock. I first stenciled some  slightly darker rays onto it, then glued a ring onto it, that I cut from matte silver metallic cardstock. On top I adhered the name of the machine.  The word Lucky is from the Lovely Layers Playing Cards set by HoneyBeeStamps. I cut it from dark blue cardstock, the number 50 I cut from shiny silver metallic cardstock. I put a black shadow behind both. And since there was some weird empty space in the area under the L and Y I added three silver star confetti there.

Onto the wheels  - they are simply made from a roll of cardstock that I glued the images onto - I adhered three silver 50s and put a spikey bubble, that I simply drew by hand, under it.

Above and under the numberes, just barely visible, I added some fruits - cherries, lemons and strawberries, to the roll.

 

 Im unteren Bereich des Automaten befindet sich ein großes Jackpot-Zeichen und der Schlitz, aus dem das Geld herausgezogen werden kann. Auf den Halbkreis, den ich an den ersten Geldschein geklebt habe, habe ich mit weißer Tinte "hier ziehen" aufgestempelt.

 

In the lower area of the slot machine I added a large jackpot sign and the slit, that the money comes out of. Onto the black half circle, that I glued at the end of the first bill, I stamped "pull here" with white ink.

 

 Oben auf den flachen Teil der Maschine habe ich Buttons aus silbernen Halbperlen aufgeklebt - jeweils eine unter jede der Rollen.

Und weil so ein Spielautomat natürlich auch einen Griff braucht, mit dem man die Maschine startet, habe ich den seitlich an den Automaten geklebt. Er besteht aus einem Stück Papierstrohhalm mit einer weiteren Perle obenauf. 

 

Onto the flat area of the machine I adhered three pearls as buttons, one under each roll inside the machine.

And because a slot machine needs a handle to start the whole thing I created one from a piece of a paper straw and another pearl on top.

 

Tja, und eigentlich war der Geldautomat damit fertig. Aber dann kam mir eine Idee - und die hat mich nicht mehr losgelassen. Am Ende habe ich es dann geschafft, aber das alles in nicht fertiggestelltem Zustand einzubauen wäre deutlich einfacher gewesen:

 

That's where  the slot machine was done. But then I had that idea and wasn't able to let it go. In the end I made it work but with the machine still in pieces instead of fully assembled it would have been way easier:

 

 In dem Moment, in dem man am Gelschein bzw. dem Cardstockkreis zieht, leuchten rund um das Wort Jackpot LEDs auf. Ich habe abwechselnd blaue und weiße verwendet und insgesamt 20 Stück verbaut.

 

In the moment you pull out the money, small  LED lights light up around the jackpot sign. I used blue and white LEDs and added 20 of them.

 

 Der schmale Streifen Cardstock, den man hier auf dem Bild sieht, ist ebenfalls am Cardstockkreis angeklebt und unterbricht den Stromkreis, wenn das Geld komplett eingeschoben ist.

 

 The small cardstock strip, that you can see on this picture, is also attached to the cardstock circle and interrupts the circuit when the money is put in completly.

Guten Freunden sollte man auch hin und wieder sagen, wie froh man über sie ist! Ich habe dafür diese Karte im Postage-Look gestaltet. Und sie ist dann doch bunter ausgefallen als geplant. Aber es ist ja auch ein fröhlicher Anlass.

Every now and then you should tell your friends how grateful you are for them. That's what I made this card in a postage look for. It turned out more colorful than planned. But it's a happy reason to give out a card, so that's a fit.

 

Nichol Spohr hatte im Februar mal eine Postage Collage Karte mit kraftfarbenem Cardstock gemacht, das wollte ich unbedingt auch ausprobieren.

Also habe ich die Briefmarken mit der Postage Collage Stanze aus eben solchem Cardstock gestanzt und dann die Postage Collage Blocks Stencil aufgelegt. Durch die habe ich dann weiße Pigment-Tinte aufgetupft. So heben sich die einzelnen Bereiche etwas ab und die Farben der aufgestencilten Motive sind leuchtender.

 

Nichol Spohr has made a postage collage card from craft cardstock back in february, and I really wanted to give that a try.

So I die cut the Postage Collage die from craft cardstock and put the Postage Collage Blocks stencil on top. Through the openeings I dabbed on some white pigment ink. This way the individual blocks are better visible and the colors of the stenciled on elements turn out brighter.

 

 Die Blocks Stencil habe ich während aller weiterer Schritte auf meinen Briefmarken liegen lassen und dann das Postage Collage Lucky Trio Stencilset benutzt, um die Motive aufzubringen. 

Zum Aufwischen der Motive habe ich Distress Oxide Victorian Velvet, Aged Mahogany, Lucky Clover und Rustic Wilderness benutzt. Die goldenen Elemente sind mit goldener, die weißen mit weißer Stencil Paste aufgetragen. Für die Details auf den Münzen oben links und dem Hufeisen unten rechts habe ich dann noch Distress Ink Vintage Photo auf die getrocknete Paste aufgetragen. 

I kept the Blocks stencil in place for all the other stenciling I did and then used the Postage Collage Lucky Trio stencil set to add the images.

To stencil on the images I used Distress Oxide Victorian Velvet, Aged Mahogany, Lucky Clover and Rustic Wilderness. The gold elements I added with gold, the white ones with white stencil paste. For the details on the coins in the top left and the horseshoe in the bottom right I used Distress Ink Vintage Photo and applied it after the paste had dried.

 

 Die Details auf den kleinen Kleeblättern sind mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht.

Mit graubrauner Tinte habe ich dann noch Werte und diverse Poststempel aus den Sets Postage Collage for Fall und Postage Collage - natürlich alles von WaffleFlower - auf die  Briefmarken aufgestempelt. Der Platz dafür war etwas knapp, denn über die Paste konnte ich natürlich nicht stempeln...

 

The details on the small clovers are made with a white gel pen.

Using grey brown ink I stamped some values and cancelation marks from the sets Postage Collage for Fall and Postage Collage- of course all of these products are by WaffleFlower - onto the stamps. It was a bit tricky to find a space for those because I wasn't able to stamp onto the stencil paste...

 

 Mittig auf meinen Briefmarkenbogen habe ich den Text  meiner Karte platziert.

Das Lucky ist aus dem Set Lovely Layers Playing Cards von HoneyBeeStamps. Ich habe das Wort dreimal aus weißem Cardstock und einmal aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt und dann alles auf der Shadow Layer, die ich aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt habe, angebracht.

 Als Deko habe ich aus dem goldenen Spiegelcardstock einige Kleeblätter aus dem Set Lucky Clovers von LawnFawn gestanzt und unter das gestanzte Lucky geschoben. Eigentlich wollte ich die aus Vellum stanzen, so sind sie aber untergegangen. Da ich sie aber schon gestanzt hatte, habe ich diese Vellum-Lagen einfach ein wenig versetzt hinter die goldenen Kleeblätter geklebt.

Der Rest des Textes ist aus dem Set Reveal Wheel Sentiments Friends and Family von LawnFawn. Ich habe sie weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

 

Onto the center of my postage stamp sheet I placed my text.

The lucky is from  the Lovely Layers Playing Cards set by HoneyBeeStamps.  I die cut the word three times from white cardstock and once from gold mirror cardstock and then stacked the words onto the shadow layer that I cut from black cardstock. 

As decoration I cut some clovers from gold mirror cardstock using the Lucky Clovers die by LawnFawn, then tucked them under the die cut lucky. I had planned to make those from vellum, but they got lost on the card. Since I had already die cut them I simply glued them a bit offset behind the gold clovers. 

The rest of the text is from Reveal Wheel Sentiments Friends and Family by LawnFawn. I white heat embossed it onto black cardstock.

 

 Die Textstreifen  habe ich it dünnem, das Wort Lucky mit dickem 3D Tape auf meinen Briefmarkenbogen geklebt. Den habe ich dann ebenfalls mit 3D Tape auf schwarzen Cardstock geklebt. Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

 

 I adhered the text  strips with thin, the die cut word lucky with thick foam tape to the postage stamp sheet. Then I used foam tape again to glued that onto some black cardstock.

To finish this card I adhered the matted postage stamp sheet to a white card base.

Wenn der Chef Geburtstag hat - vor allem einen runden - dann gibt es natürlich eine besondere Karte. Und die zeige ich Euch heute.

 

Hello everyone!

When it's your boss' birthday - and even more if it's a milestone birthday - then of course he gets a special card. And that's what I'm sharing with you today.

 

Die Karte ist in blau, weiß, silber und schwarz gehalten. Basis ist ein weißer Kartenrohling. Auf die Vorderseite habe ich blau-graues Designpapier mit kleinen helleren Punkten geklebt.

 

I kept the card in blues, white, silver and black. For the base I used a white note card. Onto the front I adhered some blue-ish grey patterned paper with small lighter dots.

 

 Im oberen Bereich der Karte befinden sich Rosetten, Girlanden und Luftschlangen. 

Die Rosetten sind nit Stanzen von TheGreetery gemacht und aus dunkelblauem Cardstock gestanzt. Zu den Rosetten gibt es passende Stencils. Ich habe durch die Stencil Tacky When Dry Paste aufgestrichen und nach dem Trocknen silberne Folie aufgedrückt. 

Auch die Girlanden sind von TheGreetery und aus matte-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gemacht.

Die Luftschlangen sind mit einer Stanze von Charlie und Paulchen gemacht. Ich habe hell- und dunkelblaue Luftschlangen gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert, so dass sie aussehen, als würden sie sich tatsächlich ringeln. 

 

In the upper area of the card I placed some rosettes, garlands and streamers.

The rosettes are made using dies by TheGreetery, cut from dark blue cardstock. There are also coordinating stencils for those dies. I applied some Tacky When Dry paste through the stencil and after it had dried put silver foil on top.

Also the garlands are by TheGreetery and cut from matte silver metallic cardstock.

The streamers I made using a die by Charlie and Paulchen. I cut some light and some dark blue ones and then shaded them with Copics to make them look like they are really curling down.

 

 Im unteren Bereich der Karte habe ich erst diese gezackte Blase aus schwarzem Cardstock aufgeklebt. Die war noch ein Überbleibsel von einer anderen Karte, die ich vor einiger Zeit gemacht hatte, und stammt von der Comic Burst Stanze von WhimsyStamps. Sie bildet den Hintergrund für meinen Text.

Das große Juhu! ist mit einer Stanze von Creative Depot gemacht. Eigentlich ist es keine Stanze, sondern eine Debossing Plate. Damit kann man aber auch wunderbar folieren - und genau das habe ich hier gemacht. Ich habe den Text mit silberne Folie auf weißen Cardstock foliert und später per Hand ausgeschnitten.

Das kleine "du hast Geburtstag" darunter ist aus dem Set Du von Create a Smile. Ich habe ihn schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt.

Und die "Konfettikanone" - mir fällt kein anderes Wort dafür ein - ist aus dem Happy Headlines Stanzenset von Concord and 9th. Die hellblaue Lage habe ich aufgedoppelt und mit blaugrauer Tinte ein wenig schattiert. Die Konfetti habe ich wieder aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt.

 

In the lower half of the card I first adhered this spikey oval, cut from black cardstock. It was left over from a card I made a while ago and was made with the Comic Burst die by WhimsyStamps. This is the backdrop for my text. 

The large Juhu! - hooray - is made using a die by Creative Depot. Actually it isn't a die but a debossing plate. And it can be used for hotfoiling as well - that's what I did here. I foiled the word with silver foil onto white cardstock and then cut it out by hand.

The smaller text underneath means "it's your birthday" and is stamped black onto white cardstock.

And the "confetti bomb" - in a lack of a better word - is from Happy Headlines by Concord and 9th. I doubled up the light blue layer and shaded it with agrey-ish blue ink.  The confetti I cut again from the matte silver metallic cardstock.

 

 Das mit dem Fotografieren von Folien und Co ist ja nicht immer so einfach, aber hier könnt Ihr all den Glanz gut sehen.

Und ja, natürlich habe ich zum Aufkleben der Elemente dünnes und dickes 3D Tape benutzt, so dass alles  eine schöne Tiefe bekommt. Als Deko habe ich noch ein paar kleine silberne Stern-Konfetti aufgeklebt.

 

Taking pictures of foil and Co isn't always easy, but here you can see all the shine on the card pretty well.

And yes, of course I used foam thin and thick tape to adhere the elements to create a nice depth.  As decoration I added some silver star confetti.

 

 Im Inneren der Karte wird es dann persönlich. 

Um den Mechanismus zu gestalten, habe ich die Photo Collage Stanzen von Karen Burniston benutzt. Beim Öffnen der Karte, verdrehen sich die kleinen Polaroidrahmen und klappen aus, so dass alle sichtbar sind. Ich habe die Personen auf den Fotos hier unkenntlich gemacht....

Die Fotorahmen habe ich aus hell- und dunkelblauem Cardstock, den Mechanismus aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. So versteckt er sich ganz gut auf der weißen Kartenbasis. 

In 7 der 8 Rahmen habe ich Fotos geklebt und darunter am PC geschriebene Eigentschaften gesetzt, die sowohl auf den Chef als auch den Job passen und natürlich mit einem kleinen Augenzwinkern zu sehen sind. 

Auf den achten Polaroidrahmen habe ich die Zahl 50 und einen Geburtstagsgruß geklebt. Die Zahlen sind mit den Zahlenstanzen von Stampcorner aus dunkelblauem Cardstock und glänzend silbernem Metallic Cardstock gestanzt. Ich habe beide jeweils leicht versetzt aufeinander und dann auf den Rahmen geklebt. Der Geburtstagsgruß ist  mit dem Itty Bitty Birthday Stempelset von MFT gemacht und schwarz auf weißen Carstock gestempelt. Das Wort Chef gibt es in dem Set natürlich nicht, aber ich habe einfach das Wort Cheers genommen, nur die ersten vier Buchstaben eingefärbt und den unteren Querstrich des zweiten E weggewischt. Manchmal ist es ganz einfach...

Alle Polaroids habe ich noch mit kleinen Luftschlangen aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock und silbernen Stern-Konfetti dekoriert. 

 

Inside the cards it's getting personal.

To create the mechanism I used the Photo Collage die set by Karen Burniston. When you open the card, the little polaroid frames twist and turn and fold out so they are all visible. For privacy reasons I disguised the persons on the photos hier on my blog ...

I cut the polaroid frames from light and dark blue cardstock, the mechanism from white cardstock. This way it's hidden pretty well on the white card base.

I put photos behind 7 of the 8 frames and added little paper strips onto that I printed characteristics of both the boss and the job and that - of course - are a bit punny on purpose. 

 Onto the last polaroid frame I adhered  a die cut 50 and a birthday  greeting. The numbers I die cut from dark blue cardstock and shiny silver metallic cardstock, stacked them a bit offset and glued them onto the frame. The greeting is made using the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set by MFT and stamped black onto white cardstock. Of course there is no word saying "chef"in this set - in german Chef means boss. I simply used  the word cheers from the set, only inked up the first four letters and removed the ink from the bottom line of the second E. Sometimes it's that simple...

I decorated the polaroids  with little streamers cut from matte silver metallic cardstock and silver star confetti.

 

 Wenn die Karte  offen ist, liegen die Polaroids nicht flach, sonder stehen leicht übereinander von der Kartenbasis ab. 

Rund um die Poloaroids habe ich noch einige Stern-Konfetti sowie aus glänzend silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzte Sterne verteilt, drumherum war dann Platz für uns zum Unterschreiben.

 

When the card is open, the polaroids don't lay down flat but are standing up from the card base a bit, slightly overlapping.  

I adhered some more star confetti and stars cut from shiny silver metallic cardstock to the card base, the left over space of the card base was for us to sign the card.

 

 

Eine ganz schnelle Geburtstagskarte

Lasst es mich gleich vorweg nehmen - 100 % zufrieden war ich mit dieser Karte nicht. Aber manchmal vergeht zwischen dem Geburtstag und der Feier  etwas mehr Zeit. So auch hier. Und quasi im letzten Moment habe ich beschlossen, dass eine Geburtstagskarte irgendwie nach fast einem halben Jahr nicht mehr passt. Also habe ich kurzerhand diese Karte gewerkelt, die auch noch zum Geschenk passte. Da die Zeit allerdings knapp war, musste die Karte recht einfach ausfallen.

 

Hello everyone!

Let me tell you right away - I am not entirely happy with this card. But sometimes there passes quite some time between the birthday and the party, and that was the case here as well. Like really last minute I decided that a birthday card didn't feel right after nearly half a year. So I made this card, that also went with the present. But time war really short and so I had to keep it simple.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht hier aus weißem Cardstock.

Ans untere Ende habe ich mit hellblauer Tinte den See aus Swan Soiree von LawnFawn gestempelt und mit klarem Embossingpulver überzogen.

Auf den Rest des Cardstocks habe ich Seifenblasen gewischt. Dafür habe ich einen Punkte-Stencil mit verschieden großen Punkten sowie Distress Ink Salvaged Patina, Worn Lipstick und Squeezed Lemonade verwendet. Beim Aufwischen habe ich die Farben jeweils leicht überlappen lassen, um auch noch grün, lila und orange zu erhalten und somit die Seifenblasen in Regenbogenfarben schimmern zu lassen.

 

The background is made from white cardstock.

With light blue ink I stamped the lake from Swan Soiree by LawnFawn at the bottom of the cardstock and covered it with clear embossing powder.

Onto the rest of the cardstock I added some soap bubbles. I used a dots stencil with dots in different sizes and Distress Ink Salvaged Patina, Worn Lipstick and Squeezed Lemonade. When putting the colors down I overlapped them slightly to also create green, purple and orange and let the soap bubbles appear in rainbow colors.

 

 Im unteren Bereich, auf dem See, der hier als große Wasserlache dient, schwimmt eine Badeente in Partymontur in einem großen Waschzuber.

Der Bottich ist mit dem Build a Barrel Set von LawnFawn gemacht. Den Holzteil habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann mit Copics das Holzmuster sowie das Wasser aufgemalt. Die Metallteile sind aus matt-silbernem Metallic Cardstock gestanzt.

Die Ente ist aus dem Set Ducky von Create a Smile, sie ist mit einer Partytröte und einem Partyhut aus dem Set Party Animal von LawnFawn ausgestattet. Auch hier habe ich - wie auch für die restlichen kleinen Elemente auf der Karte - Copics zum Colorieren verwendet. 

Neben dem Waschzuber habe ich noch eine kleine Ente aus dem selben Set sowie eine Flasche Badeschaum und eine Seife aus dem Set Rub a Dub Dub von LawnFawn aufgeklebt. Außerdem hat die Ente so viel Spaß im Wasser, dass sie ordentlich spritzt - was man unschwer an der großen Pfütze rund um den Holzzuber sehen kann. Deswegen habe ich noch ein paar Wassertropfen, gemacht mit der Tropfen-Stanze von Create a Smile, hinzugefügt.

 

In the lower area, right in that puddle of water, a rubber duck is swimming in a big wash tub, wearing some party accessoires.

I cut the tub with the Build a Barrel by LawnFawn. The wooden part I cut from white cardstock, then used Copics to add the wood pattern and water. The metall pieces I cut from matte silver metallic cardstock.

The duck is from Ducky by Create a Smile, she's wearing a blowout and a party hat from Party Animal by LawnFawn. Again I used Copics to color the images - as I did for all the other small elements on the card as well.

Next to the tub I put a bottle of bubble bath and a soap bar, both from Rub a Dub Dub by LawnFawn, and a smaller duck from Ducky. The duck is also having so much fun in the water, that she's splashing around wildly - as you can tell easily from all the water around the tub. So I also added some water splashes using the Tropfen die by Create a Smile.

 

 Im oberen Bereich der Karte habe ich dann den Text aufgeklebt bzw. -gestempelt und hier durch ein Wortspiel eine Verbindung zum Motiv hergestellt. 

Die Buchstaben für das Wort conQUACKulation sind mit dem Lemon Alpha Stanzenset von Create a Smile gemacht. Dabei habe ich nur hinter den Wortteil QUACK die dazugehörige Schattenlage gesetzt. Die sowie die Buchstaben für den Rest des Wortes habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Die Buchstaben für das Wort QUACK sind aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics enten-gelb coloriert. 

Das "happy 51 1/2" darunter ist dann mit dem Stempelset Klein und Fein von Create a Smile und schwarzer Tinte direkt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt. Die Buchstaben passen von der Schriftart perfekt zu den gestanzten Buchstaben, außerdem sind sie jeweils in zwei verschiedenen Größen im Set enthalten, so dass ich das 1/2 ebenfalls in einer passenden Schrift stempeln konnte.

 

In the upper half of the card I glued and stamped down the text, connecting the text with the image with a little pun. 

The letters for the word conQUACKulation is made with the Lemon Alpha set by Create a Smile. I only used a shadow layer behind the QUACK. Those and the rest of the letteres I cut from black cardstock. The letters for the word QUACK I cut from white cardstock and colored them a rubber duck yellow with my Copics.

The "happy 51 1/2" underneath is stamped with black ink using the Klein und Fein stamp set by Create a Smile. The letters are the same font as the die cut ones and there are two sizes in the stamp set. This way I was able to use the same font for the "1/2" as I did for the rest of the stamped text.

 

 Den Wortteil QUACK sowie die Motive habe ich mit 3D Tape hinterlegt.

Als Deko habe ich vier rote Herzen aufgeklebt und mit einem goldenen Gelstift einen Rahmen auf den Cardstock gemalt. Dann habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I added  four red clay hearts as decoration and also drew a frame around the cardstock with a gold gel pen. Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

 

Eine Kamerakarte mit Maus

Heute habe ich mal wieder eine Shaped Card für Euch - diesmal in Form einer Kamera. Und die birgt noch ein kleines Geheimnis...

Today I have another shaped card for you - this time in the shape of a camera. And it also holds a little secret...

 

Die Kamera habe ich mit dem Magic Iris Camera Add-On Set von LawnFawn aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Quer darüber habe ich einen hellgrauen Streifen Cardstock geklebt, auf den ich zusätzlich schmale Streifen von korallefarbenem Cardstock als Deko aufgeklebt habe.

Die Kameralinse habe ich aus türkisfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt, den Ring drumherum aus matt-silbernem Metallic Cardstock. Hinter den Ring habe ich eine Lage Folie geklebt und den Ring dann mit dünnem 3D Tape auf der Kamera befestigt.

Die kleinen Details wie Lichtsensor und Auslöser sind aus den selben Cardstocks gestanzt. 

Oben auf das Blitzlicht habe ich eine "zackige Sprechblase" aus Vellum gesetzt. Hinter dem roten Herz, das ich als Deko aufgeklebt habe, befindet sich ein weiteres, so dass das Vellum nicht direkt auf der Kamera aufliegt.

 

The camera I made from black cardstock using the Magic Iris Camera Add-On set by LawnFawn. I adhered a strip of light grey cardstock across the camera and decorated it with thin strips of coral colored cardstock. 

The lense I cut from turquoise cardstock, the ring around it from matte silver metallic cardstock. I put some acetate behind the ring, then attached it to the camera with thin foam tape.  

The small details like the light sensor and the shutter release I cut from the same types of cardstock.

Onto the flash I put a "spikey speech bubble", cut from Vellum. Behind the red heart, that I added as decoration, I put another one so the vellum isn't laying directly on the camera.

 

 Die kleine Maus mit der Kamera ist aus dem Set Momente von Stampcorner. Ich habe sie mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten. Die Augen, die Nase und das Herz auf der Kameralinse habe ich mit einem schwarzen Glaze Pen nachgemalt.

Über der Maus befindet sich eine kleine Sprechblase von WhimsyStamps, auf die ich ein "smile" aus dem Set Fangtastic Friends von LawnFawn aufgestempelt habe.

Unten, an den Rand der Kamera, habe ich noch ein "ich hab dich super lieb" aus dem Set Wünsch Dir Was von Stampcorner mit weißer Tinte aufgestempelt. Ich hatte das Kissen frisch nachgefüllt und das Ergebnis ist ein wenig fleckig, außerdem hat der schwarze Cardstock doch einiges von der Tinte eingesogen. Aber ich finde, so sieht es ein wenig wie ein eingravierter Kamername aus.

 

The little mouse with the camera is from Momente by Stampcorner. I colored her with Copics and  fuzzy cut her out. The eyes, nose and heart on the lense I covered with a black Glaze pen.

Along the bottom edge of the camera I stamped a "I love you so much" with white ink. I just had refilled my ink pad and the text looks a bit splotchy. The black cardstock also has soaked in quite some of the ink but I think, now this text looks a bit like an engraved camera brand/name.

 

 Die Maus und die Sprechblase habe ich mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt - hier könnt Ihr die verschiedenen Ebenen und auch die Folie über der Linse etwas besser sehen. 

Und sicher habt Ihr scohn den weißen Streifen samt Herz am oberen Rand der Karte entdeckt....

 

I backed the mouse and speech bubble with thick foam tape - here you get a better look at the different layers and the acetate on top of the camera lense.

And I am sure you've already spotted the white strip with the heart at the top edge of the card... 

Zieht man an dem Herz, erscheint ein Polaroid mit einem weiteren Text.

Für den Mechanismus habe ich mit einer Stanze aus dem Magic Iris Camera Pull-Tab Add-On Set von LawnFawn einen Schlitz oben in die Kamera gestanzt. In dem Set ist auch ein Polaroid-Rahmen enthalten, der war mir hier aber zu lang. Also habe ich eine ältere Stanze von MFT verwendet und aus weißem Cardstock das Polaroid gestanzt. Hinter das Fenster habe ich hell-koralle farbenen Cardsdtock gesetzt, auf den ich mit schwarzer Tinte einen Text aus dem Set Du Bist von Stampcorner aufgestempelt habe. Der passte perfekt in den Rahmen. Das Herz im Text habe ich dunkler ausgemalt und mit einem weißen Gelstift Highlights entlang des Textes aufgemalt. Außerdem habe ich einen Rahmen mit einem silbernen Gelstift aufgemalt. Oben an das Polaroid habe ich dann das Herz geklebt, das als Ziehhilfe dient.

Hinter dem Polaroid befindet sich ein Stück schwarzen Cardstocks, das ich nur an der unteren Kante mit dünnem 3D Tape angeklebt habe. Zieht man am Herz, läuft der schwarze Cardstock hinter der Kamera und das  3D Tape dient als Stopper, so dass das Polaroid nicht komplett herausgezogen werden kann. 

When you pull the heart a polaroid frame with another text appears.

I used the Magic Iris Camera Pull-Tab Add-On set by LawnFawn to cut a slit into the top of the camera. There's also a polaroid frame in this set, but it was too tall for my card. So I used and older die by MFT instead to cut the polaroid. I put some  light coral cardstock behind the window and stamped a "you are amazing" text, that was just perfect in size, onto it using black ink. I filled  the heart in the text with a dark coral Copic and also added highlights with a white gel pen. Then I used a silver gel pen to draw a frame onto the coral cardstock. To the top edge of the polaroid I adhered a die cut heart, that replacing my pull tab  here.

I put some black cardstock behind the polaroid, that I attached only along the bottom edge with thin foam tape. When you pull the heart, the black cardstock runs behind the camera and the foam tape acts as a stopper so the polaroid can't be pulled out completly.

Heute geht es mit der nächsten Osterkarte weiter - und das hier ist mal wieder eine Karte aus der Kategorie "Wimmelbild", weil es so viel zu entdecken gibt.

Today I have another easter card to share with you - and this is once again a card out of the "hidden object picture" category because there's so much to discover there.

 

Der Himmel besteht hier aus einem Stück hellblauen Designpapiers, von dem ich gerade noch einen passenden Streifen übrig hatte, das kleine fast weiße Punkte und "Flecken" hat. Das fand ich für den Himmel recht passend.

Als oberste Lage, die man hier komplett sieht, habe ich die Leafy Tree Backdrop Landscape Stanze genommen und als oberste Lage noch einen Rahmen aufgeklebt. Der ist aus einem der Papiere aus dem Spiffy Speckles Paper Pad - weiß mit winzigen grünen Flecken. Und weil die fast untergehen, habe ich den Rahmen von außen her noch minimal mit Distress Ink Mowed Lawn gewischt. 

 

The sky is made from a piece of light blue patterned paper, that I had left on my table and that has small nearly white dots and "spots". I thought that's perfect for the sky.

As the top layer, that you can see completly here, I die cut the Leafy Tree Backdrop Landscape die and put a frame on top as the top layer. That I die cut from a sheet of the Spiffy Speckles paper pad - white with tiny green spots. And since these are nearly invisible I very lightly inked the outer edge with Distress Ink Mowed Lawn.

 

 Die Landschaft meiner Szene besteht aus zwei Grashügeln sowie einem frühlingshaft blühenden Baum. 

Die Hügel habe ich mit den Szenen aus dem Window Scene Spring Stempelset gemacht und dabei immer nur Teile des Stempels mit einem Memento Marker eingefärbt und die Teile aneinander gestempelt. So konnte ich die Hügel breit genug für meine querformatige Karte machen. Zusätzlich habe ich noch weitere Blümchen auf die Wiese gestempelt.

Aus dem selben Set ist übrigens auch die Sonne, die ich ebenfalls vom Viertel- zum fast ganzen Kreis vergrößert habe. Nach dem Colorieren habe ich sie ausgeschnitten und auf den Himmel geklebt.

Über die Wiese fahren zwei Hasen in ihrem Möhren-Mobil. Die beiden waren schon super fleißig und haben überall bunte Ostereier versteckt. Ein wenig Arbeit haben sie noch vor sich, denn der Anhänger ist noch voller Eier. Und ein Schokohase ist auch dabei. 

Hasen und Möhren-Mobil sind aus dem Set Carrot 'Bout You. Den Anhänger wollte ich etwas mehr im Osterkörbchen-Look. Also habe ich das Körbchen aus dem Set Easter Before'n Afters genommen, das war schon mit Eiern gefüllt. Den Henkel samt Schleife habe ich weggeschnitten und stattdessen unten die Räder des kleinen Möhren-Mobils angeklebt. Der Schokohase ist aus Eggstra Amazing Easter. Außerdem steckt im Körbchen noch das Schild aus Apple-Solutely Awesome, darauf habe ich einen kleinen Text aus Eggstraordinary Easter aufgestempelt. 

 

The landscape of my scene shows two grassy hills and a spring-ish tree in bloom.

The hills I made using the scenes from Window Scene Spring and only inked parts of the stamp with a Memento Marker, then stamped them next to each other. This way I was able to make my hills wide enough for my landscape card. I also stamped some additional flowers into the grass.

From the same set comes the sun, that I also turned from a quarter circle into nearly a full one. After coloring it in I cut it out and glued it onto the sky.

Over this meadow two bunnies are cruising in their carrot-mobile. They have already been very busy and have hidden colorful eggs everywhere. But they still have some work to do because their trailer is still full of eggs. There's even a chocolate bunny in there.

Bunnies and carrot car are from Carrot'Bout You. I wanted the trailer to look more like an easter basket. So I used the basket from Easter Before'n Afters, it was already filled with eggs. I cut off the handle and bow and added the tires of the small carrot car to it. The chocolate bunny is from Eggstra Amazing Easter. 

I also tucked a sign from Apple-Solutely Awesome into the basket/trailer and stamped a small text from Eggstraordinary Easter onto it.

 

 Den Leafy Tree Backdrop habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann den Baum coloriert. Für alle Motive hier habe ich Copics benutzt.

Die Blätter am Baum sind aus dem Leafy Tree Backdrop Portrait Set. Ich habe sie an den Baum und auf den gesprenkelten Rahmen geklebt und dann kleine Blüten hinzugefügt, so dass der Baum optisch zu dem kleineren auf der Wiese passt. Die Blüte ist mit einem Stempel aus Window Scene Spring gemacht. Und zwischen den Ästen liegt noch ein buntes Osterei.

 

I die cut the Leafy Tree Backdrop from white cardstock and colored the tree. I used Copics for all images on this card.

The leaves on the tree are from Leafy Tree Backdrop Portrait. I glued them to the tree and on top of the speckled frame and added little blossoms, so the tree goes with the one on the grassy hills. The blossoms are made using an individual flower from Window Scene Spring. And between the branches I placed another colorful easter egg.

 

 Ganz unten auf den Rahmen habe ich dann noch weitere Ostereier sowie zwei Küken geklebt. Die Ostereier sind aus dem Set Simply Celebrate Spring, ich habe die Eier-Reihe einfach voneinander getrennt. 

Die Küken sind aus Eggstra Amazing Easter.

 

At the very bottom I glued more easter eggs and two chickies onto the frame. The eggs are from Simply Celebrate Spring, I simply cut the row of easter eggs into individual pieces.

The little chicks are from Eggstra Amazing Easter.

 

 Natürlich kam wieder 3D Tape zum Aufeinanderkleben der einzelnen Lagen zum Einsatz.

Und eigentlich sah ich überhaupt keine Chance, außer dem kleinen Text auf dem Schild noch irgendwo einen weiteren, "richtigen" Text unterzubringen. Aber dann habe ich diesen recht kleinen Stempel im Set Window Scene Spring entdeckt. Ich habe ihn mit schwarzer Tinte auf ein Reststück des grün-gesprenkelten Designpapiers gestempelt, ausgeschnitten und etwas mittig quer über die Karte geklebt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

 

Of course I used foam tape again to glue the different layers of my card together. 

And originally I didn't really see a chane to add another, "real" greeting than the tiny one on the sign in the basket.  But then I came across this quite small one from Window Scene Spring. I stamped it with black ink onto a left over strip of the green speckled patterned paper, cut it out and glued it about centered across the card.

Then I adhered the scene to a white note card.

 

Geburtstags-Gutschein-Karte

Mein Mann hatte vor kurzem Geburtstag, heute zeige ich Euch die Geburtstagskarte, die ich ihm gemacht habe.

It was my husband's birthday a little while ago, today I am sharing with you the card I made him.

 

Nun, mein Mann hatte nicht wirklich einen Geburtstagswunsch. Natürlich hatte ich eine Kleinigkeit für ihn, aber das Hauptgeschenk  stellte ein Problem dar. Ich wollte nicht einfach irgendetwas kaufen und die einzige Idee, die mir sonst kam, ging sich leider terminlich so gar nicht aus. Jetzt ist es ja so, dass einem nach dem Geburtstag jede Menge Dinge einfallen, die man sich hätte wünschen können. Und so haben wir ausgemacht, dass ich ihm diesen späteren Wunsch dann erfülle. Nun, wie verschenkt man etwas, von dem der Beschenkte noch gar nicht weiß, dass er es sich wünscht? Am besten mit einem Blanko-Gutschein, und den habe ich, schlau wie ich bin, gleich auf der Geburtstagskarte integriert.

Der Hintergrund meiner Karte ist aus schwarzem Cardstock gemacht, in den ich mit einem Embossingfolder von Action Konfetti eingeprägt habe. Nach dem Embossen habe ich dann ein goldenes Metallic-Stempelkissen über  den Cardstock gezogen und die Konfetti so leicht gold eingefärbt.

 

Well, my husband didn't really have a wish. Of course I had gotten him a little something, but the main gift was a real problem. I didn't want to just buy anything and the only idea I had just didn't fit in our time schedule. Since often you get lots of ideas, what you could have wished for, once the birthday is over we agreed, that I would fullfill one of those wishes. But, how do you give away something, that the one getting it didn't even know yet, that he's wishing for it? Best way to do that, is to give away a blank voucher. And, clever as I am, I included that voucher in his card.

The background is made from a piece of black cardstock, that I dry embossed confetti into. After the embossing I dragged a gold metallic ink pad over the cardstock to color the confetti a soft gold.

 

Mit dem Impact Alphabet von MFT habe ich dann die Buchstaben für das Wort Wunsch gestanzt - dreimal aus weißem Cardstock und einmal aus goldenem Metallic-Cardstock. Die goldene Lage habe ich leicht versetzt obenauf geklebt, so dass die Buchstaben einen dünnen weißen Schatten haben.

Den Text habe ich dann mit einem "du has einen" und dem Wort "frei" ergänzt, die aus dem Stempelset Wunschkonzert von Create a Smile stammen und schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt sind.

Direkt auf das Wort Wunsch habe ich dann noch einen Geburtstagsgruß, mit Stempeln aus den Sets Kleine Worte und Kleine Worte 2 von Stampcorner ebenfalls schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt, aufgeklebt.

 

I used the Impact Alphabet die set by MFT to cut the letters for the word  wish - three times from white cardstock and once from gold metallic cardstock. I glued the gold layer a bit offset as the top layer onto the white ones to give them a thin white shadow.

I  stamped the rest of the text with black ink onto white cardstock to write "you have one wish". Also black onto white ink I stamped a birthday greeting and glued it across the letters.

 

 Nun fehlte der Karte noch ein wenig Deko - und etwas, das nach Geburtstag aussieht. 

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich mit der Geschenke-Stanze von Creative-Depot den Geschenketurm ausgestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. 

Aus Metallic-Cardstock in zwei verschiedenen Türkistönen habe ich einige Konfettig sowie eine Schleife aus dem Set Geschenkband von Creative-Depot ausgestanzt und als Deko aufgeklebt.

 

Now my card needed some decorations - and something that makes it look like a birthday card.

From white cardstock I die cut the stack of presents using a die by Creative-Depot, then colored it with Copics.

From two different tones of turquoise metallic cardstock I die cut some streamers and a bow and adhered  them as decorations.

 

 Die Texte und den Geschenkstapel habe ich mit 3D Tape hinterlegt.

Neben den Luftschlangen habe ich dann noch einige kleine goldene Pailetten als Konfetti-Deko aufgeklebt. Außerdem habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift einen Rahmen auf den schwarzen Cardstock aufgemalt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I backed the texts and the presents with foam tape.

Besides the streamers I also added some small gold sequins as confetti. I also used a white gel pen to draw a frame onto the black cardstock.

Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Ein neues Mäuse-Abenteuer

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Also eins ist sicher: sollte es so etwas wie Wiedergeburt geben, möchte ich im nächsten Leben eine LawnFawn-Maus sein und all ihre Abenteuer erleben!

Diesmal haben sie am Strand eine alte Flasche mit einer Schatzkarte gefunden. Die hatte einst ein Piraten-Kapitän - gestrandet auf einer einsamen Insel, letzter Überlebender seiner Crew und spürend, dass sein Ende nah ist - ins Meer geworfen in der Hoffnung, dass jemand den Schatz finden wird und er nicht für immer verloren ist. Natürlich haben die Mäuse sofort ihre Ausrüstung zusammengepackt und sich auf die Suche begeben. Werden sie den Schatz finden, den der Piraten-Kapitän vor einigen hundert Jahren vergraben hat?

 

 Hello everyone!

One thing is sure: if there's something like reincarnation than I want to be a LawnFawn mouse in my next life, going on all the adventures they seem to experience  daily!

This time they found an old bottle with a treasure map at the beach. A pirate threw that into the ocean once - trapped on a lost island, last survivor of his crew and sensing, that his end was near. He hoped someone would be able to find the treasure so it won't be lost for all times. Of course the mice packed their gear right away and went on a  treasure hunt. Will they find the treasure, that a pirate has buried a few hundred years ago? 

 

Auf dieser Karte habe ich für den Hintergrund den oberen Teil eines Stücks weißen Cardstocks mit Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon und ein wenig Salty Ocean gewischt. Auf diesen Himmel habe ich dann mehrere Lagen Cardstocks geklebt, die ich alle aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt habe: eine Lage Wellen, gemacht mit den Stitched Simple Wavy Borders und mit Salvaged Patina sowie einem kleinen bisschen Salty Ocean gewischt. Die Sandlagen darüber sind alle mit Scattered Straw und Brushed Corduroy gewischt, dann habe ich etwas weiße Acrylfarbe sowie Distress Ink Ground Espresso für etwas Struktur aufgewischt. Hier kamen wieder die Stitched Simple Wavy Borders, die Slimline Simple Stitched Hillside Borders und der untere Teil des Tropical Backdrops zum Einsatz.

Den Tropical Backdrop habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und als Rahmen um meine Szene geklebt. Die einzelnen Palmen habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Dahinter befinden sich noch die Palmen aus dem Set Hammock and Trees. Obenauf kam dann noch ein Stitched Rectangle Frame, die oberste Sandlage und die Palmenblätter habe ich obenauf geklebt.

 

On this card I inked the upper half of a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon and a bit of Salty Ocean. Onto this sky I glued several layers, that I all cut from white cardstock: one layer of waves, made with the Stitched Simple Wavy Borders set and inked with Salvaged Patina and a hint of Salty Ocean. The sandy layers on top are all inked with Scattered Straw and Brushed Corduroy, then I added fine splatters of white acrylic paint and Distress Ink Ground Espresso for some texture. I used the Stitched Simple Wavy Borders set again, the Slimline Simple Stitched Hillside Borders and the bottom part of the Tropical Backdrop.

The Tropical Backdrop I die cut from white cardstock and glued it as a frame around my scene. The  palm trees I cut again and colored them with Copics. Behind them I put the two palm trees from Hammock and Trees. I added a Stitched Rectangle Frame, cut from black cardstock, on top of the Tropical Backdrop, placing the top sand layer and the palm tree leaves on top of it.

Und hier könnt Ihr die Mäuse bei ihrem neusten Abenteuer sehen. Sie sind natürlich aus dem Set It's a Bird - ich finde die sind perfekt für jede Art von Outdoor Abenteuer. Außerdem hat sich die kniende Maus aus dem Set Veggie Happy mit eingeschlichen. Die Maus, die eigentlich den Stadtplan hält, hält hier die Schatzkarte aus dem Set Ahoy Matey. Und nein, natürlich liest sie die Karte nicht verkehr herum - auf der Rückseite sind eigenartige Zeichen, die sie zu entziffern versucht! 

Neben der knienden Maus liegt der Spaten aus Veggie Happy. Und die Flasche, in der sich die Schatzkarte befand und die man hier noch im Sand liegen sieht, ist aus dem Currently Drinking Set von WaffleFlower.

Ich habe hier noch zwei Felsen aus den Sets Mermaid for You und Kanga-rrific Add-On und zwei Echsen aus dem selben Set in die Szene integriert. Außerdem habe ich einige Grasbüschel, gemacht mit einer Stanze aus dem Tropical Backdrop Set, eingefügt. Und hinter den Palmen links kann man noch das Segelschiff sehen, mit dem die Mäuse auf die Insel gekommen sind. Das ist aus Lovable Legends. 

Alle Motive sind mit Copics coloriert, das X auf der Schatzkarte habe ich erst mit einem weißen Gelstift und dann mit einem roten Glaze Pen nachgemalt, so dass es mehr auffällt. 

 

And here you can see the mice on their newest adventure. Of course they are from It's a Bird - I think these are perfect for any kind of outdoor adventure. The kneeling mouse from Veggie Happy also joined them. The mouse, that's originally holding a folded plan, is holding the treasure map from Ahoy Matey here. And no, of course she is not reading it wrong - there are some cryptic signs on the back of the map that she's trying to decipher.

Next to the kneeling mouse there's the spade from Veggie Happy. And the bottle, that the treasure map was in and that you can still see lying on the ground here, is from Currently Drinking by  WaffleFlower.  

I also included two stones from Mermaid for You and Kanga-rrific Add-On and two lizards from the same set into my scene. I also added some grass, made with a die from Tropical Backdrop, and behind the palm trees on the left you can see the ship, that the mice used to get onto the island. This one is from Lovable Legends.

I colored all images with Copics, the X on the treasure map I first re-drew with a white gel pen, then used a red Glaze Pen on top to make it more noticable.

 

 Oben am Himmel habe ich dann meinen Text untergebracht. Für ihn habe ich Stempel aus den Sets WSwan Soiree und S'More the Merrier kombiniert und ihn weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Die Schriftgröße in den beiden Sets ist nicht ganz identisch, aber ich finde, das fällt kaum auf.

An den Himmel habe ich noch ein paar Möwen aus Smooth Sailing gestempelt. Außerdem fliegen auf der Karte drei gelbe Schmetterlinge aus den Sets Spring Basket und Kanga-rrific Add-On und in einer der Palmen rechts sitzt ein Papagei. Das ist übrigens ein direkter Nachfahre des Papageis, der dem Piraten-Kapitän bis zuletzt zur Seite stand. Und die Flüche des Piraten wurden von Papagei-Generation zu Papagei-Generation weiter gelernt, so dass die Mäuse auf ihrer Suche von einigen gekrächzten "Nettigekeiten" begleitet werden. Aber wer weiß, vielleicht sind das ja auch versteckte Hinweise?

 

Up in the sky I added my text. I combined stamps from the Sets Swan Soiree and S'More the Merrier for it and white heat embossed it onto black cardstock. The font size isn't totally identical, but I really think that's very hard to notice.

Onto the sky I stamped some birds from Smooth Sailing. Threre are also three yellow butterflies fluttering around on my card. They are from Spring Basket and Kanga-rrific Add-On. And on one of the palm trees on the right there's a parrot. It's a direct descendant from the parrot, that was on the pirate's side until his last breath. And the pirate's cussing was something, each parrot generation teached  the following one. So the mice get a ear full of them during their search. But who knows - maybe those are secret hints?

 

 Jetzt hatte ich ja am Anfang des Posts die Frage gestellt, ob die Mäuse den Schatz wohl finden werden? Und hier ist die Antwort. Hat etwa wirklich jemand daran gezweifelt?
Ich habe hier ein Magic Picture Changer Element mit in die Karte eingebaut und den Aufleger, den ich mit dem Magic Picture Changer Add-On Set gemacht habe, identisch zur Szene auf meiner Karte gewischt. Die verschiedenen Lagen des Hintergrunds habe ich dafür jeweils aus Kopierpapier gestanzt und sie als Schablonen benutzt, so dass sich der Picture Changer nahtlos in die Szene einfügt und kaum auffällt. 

Und weil ich natürlich rechts keinen Cardstockstreifen quer über meiner Karte wollte - den braucht man natürlich, um den Mechanismus zu betätigen - habe ich ihn vom Mechanismus abgeschnitten und durch einen etwas längeren Streifen starke Folie ersetzt. Der läuft nun nach rechts und unter dem Rahmen hindurch. Und damit man auch weiß, dass es hier etwas zu tun gibt, habe ich noch das Endstück mit dem Pfeil aus dem Set Magic Picture Changer ans Ende geklebt, bündig mit dem Rahmen. Damit es zur Karte passt, habe ich es mit Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon gewischt.

 

At the beginning of the post I wondered, if those mice will be able to find the treasure. Here's the answer. Did anyone really doubt it?
I included a Magnic Picture Changer element to my card and inked the top of it, cut with the Magic Picture Changer Add-On set, matching the scene on my card. I die cut the different layers of my background from copy paper and used that as stencil so the picture changer is nearly invisible in the scene.

And since I didn't want a cardstock strip to go across one side of my scene - of course you need that to make the mechanism work - I cut it off and replaced it with a slightly longer piece of quite thick acetate. It goes over  the right of my scene and under the frame. To make sure the recipient knows that's there's some kind of interactive part I die cut the end piece with the arrow from Magic Picture Changer, inked it with Mermaid Lagoon and adhered it flush with the edge of my frame.

 

 Die Schatztruhe voller Gold, die ich auf einen der inneren Teile des Magic Picture Changers gestempelt habe, ist aus dem Set Ahoy Matey. Mit einem goldenen Gelstift habe ich einige Strahlen hinzugemalt.

Und auch wenn ich vergessen habe, ein Foto schräg von der Seite zu machen: natürlich kam hier 3D Tape zum Einsatz - allein schon, um die Dicke des interaktiven Elements auszugleichen. Zum Schluss habe ich alles dann auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

The treasure chest full of gold, that I stamped onto one of the inner pieces of the Magic Picture Changer, is from Ahoy Matey. I used a gold gel pen to add some rays.

And even if I forgot to take the usual picture: of course I used foam tape to put the card together. The Magic Picture changer is quite thick and so I needed it to even out the layers. As the last step I adhered my card panel to a white note card.
