Es ist Tag 2 der Sneaks auf das März-Release von WaffleFlower. Auf meiner Karte heute habe ich drei neue Produkte vereint: das Sweet Cupcake Stanzenset, die dazugehörigen Coloring Stencil und das Cupcake Toppers Stanzenset.

It's day 2 of the march release sneaks by WaffleFlower. On this card I combined three new products: the Sweet Cupcake die set, its coordinating coloring stencils and the Cupcake Toppers die set.
Cupcakes sind gehen auf Geburtstagskarten einfach immer - egal, für welches Alter. Und dieser hier ist so groß, da braucht die Karte sonst gar nicht mehr viel.
Der Hintergrund hier besteht aus einem Stück schwarzen Cardstocks, auf den ich gelb-goldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt habe. Außerdem habe ich einen Rahmen mit einem weißen Gelstift auftgemalt.
Im Hintergrund hängt eine Partygirlande. Nun, hier habe ich die Fähnchenstanzen aus dem Cupcake Topper Stanzenset benutzt, die eigentlich in den Cupcake gesteckt werden können. Ich habe jeweils nur den Aufleger aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, alles mit einem Stück weißen Twines verbunden und die Girlande mit 3D Tape quer über den Hintergrund geklebt. Da die Fähnchen so doch ein wenig zu fad aussahen, habe ich jeweils noch einen Rahmen mit einem gelb-goldenen Glitter-Gelstift aufgemalt.
Cupcakes are always great for birthday cards, no matter what age the card is made for. And this one is so large, your card doesn't need much else.
The background is made from a pice of black cardstock, that I splattered some yellow-golden metallic watercolor onto. I also drew a frame with a white gel pen.
I've hung a party banner in the background. Well, I used the banners from Cupcake Toppers here, that are originally meant to be stuck into the cupcake. I only used the top layers of the two different banners in the set and cut them from white cardstock. Then I connected them with a piece of white twine and used foam tape to hang the banner across my background. Since the banners looked a bit plain I used a yellow-ish gold glitter gel pen and drew a frame onto each.
Schaut Euch diesen Riesen-Cupcake an. Mir läuft das Wasser im Mund zusammen... Und ich musste einfach einen Schoko-Cupcake mit weißer Creme und Schokostreuseln machen!
Ich habe den Cupcake aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann mit dem dazugehörigen Sweet Cupcake Coloring Stencilset und Distress Inks coloriert. Für das Papierförmchen habe ich Speckled Egg und Weathered Wood benutzt, der Schoko-Cupcake ist mit Vintage Photo und Ground Espresso gemacht. Für die Sahnehaube habe ich dann Antique Linen benutzt - die eine Lage ist recht sanft, die Schattenlage dann etwas kräftiger mit dem selben Ton aufgewischt.
Die Schokostreusel habe ich dann mit brauner Stencil Paste gemacht und die durch die Schablone hindurch aufgetragen. So sind sie schön dreidimensional und sehen wirklich sehr echt aus.
Da es sich um einen Geburtstags-Cupcake handelt, darf natürlich eine Kerze darin nicht fehlen! Auch die kommt im Sweet Cupcake Set - ich habe sie mit Speckled Egg gewischt und die Streifen dann mit weißer Stencil Paste aufgetragen. Die Flamme ist nur von außen her mit Wild Honey gewischt. Und den Docht habe ich per Hand aufgemalt, wobei die Stencil auch dafür eine Öffnung hat.
Anschließend habe ich den Cupcake noch mit etwas Deko aus dem Cupcake Topper Stanzenset aufgepeppt. Der Happy-Birthday-Schriftzug und die Sternstecker sind jeweils aus goldenem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt. Ich habe sie in die Einschnitte in der Creme gesteckt und dann festgeklebt.
Damit der Cupcake nicht in der Luft schwebt, habe ich unten noch ein Oval aus weißem Cardstock angeklebt, das ich einfach per Hand ausgeschnitten habe.
Look at this giant cupcake - it looks mouth watering... I just had to make it a chocolate cupacke with white icing and chocolate sprinkles!
I cut the cupcake from white cardstock and then inked it with the matching Sweet Cupcake Coloring Stencils and Distress Ink. I used Speckled Egg and Weathered Wood for the cupcake liner, the chocolate muffin is made with Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso. For the icing I used Antique Linen - I applied the solid layer quite softly and added more of the same ink for the shadow layer.
To make the chocolate sprinkles look dimensional and real I applied brown stencil paste through the stencil.
Since this is a birthday cupcake it needs a birthday candle! This one comes in the Sweet Cupcake die set as well - I inked it with Speckled Egg and added the stripes with white stencil paste. The flame I inked just from the outside with Wild Honey and drew the wick by hand (allthough there is a section for that on the stencil as well).
Then I dressed the cupcake up a bit using dies from the Cupcake Topper die set. The happy birthday pick and the star picks are all cut from gold mirror cardstock. I tucked them into the slits in the icing and glued them down.
To make sure the cupcake isn't floating in the air I put it onto an oval, that I simply cut by hand using white cardstock.
Hier sieht man den Glanz und Schimmer auf der Karte recht gut.
Nun mögt Ihr Euch fragen, warum mein Cupcake so dick wirkt. Nun, als ich die Stanze gesehen habe, hatte ich sofort eine Karte in Cupcake-Form im Sinn. Dann habe ich mich aber spontan umentschlossen und den Cupcake kurzerhand in eine auf den Hintergrund geklebte Easel Card verwandelt. Aufgestellt sieht die dann so aus:

You might ask, why my cupcake looks so thick. Well, as soon as I saw the die I had a shaped card in mind. But then I changed idea and turned it into an easel card that I adhered onto the background. Propped up it looks like that:
Ich habe den Cupcake aus einer oben gefalteten Karte aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dabei die Spitze der Creme über den Falz der Karte hinausgeschoben. Den oberen Teil habe ich dann etwa an der breitesten Stelle des Papierförmchens nochmal gefalzt. So lässt sich der Cupcake aufstellen.
Damit er auch von selbst stehen bleibt, habe ich innen in die Easel Card dann noch einen weiteren Text aufgeklebt. Das "make a wish" ist aus dem Stempelset Birthday Wishes. Ich habe ihn mit goldenem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und mit der dazugehörigen Stanze ausgestanzt. Dann habe ich ihn mit etwas 3D Tape innen in die Karte geklebt. Als Deko dient ein weiterer Stern aus dem Cupcake Topper Stanzenset, ebenfalls wieder aus goldenem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt.
Ich finde, der Text passt perfekt zum Cupcake mit der Kerze, die nun so toll in die Höhe steht und fast dazu einlädt, sie auspusten zu wollen.
I die cut the cupcake from a white top folding card, putting the top of the icing above the fold in the card. Then I scored the top layer of this cupcake shaped card at the widest part of the paper liner. Now the cupcake can be propped up.
To make sure it stays standing I added another text to the inside of the easel card. The "make a wish" is from the Birthday Wishes stamp set. I gold heat embossed it onto black cardstock and cut it out with the matching outline die. Then I adhered it to the inside of the card using a piece of thin foam tape. As decoration I added another star, cut from gold mirror cardstock again using another die from the Cupcake Topper die set.
I think, this text goes perfectly with the candle, that is standing up high now, nearly inviting the recipient to blow it out.
