Es geht gruselig weiter, wobei so richtig gruselig ist diese Karte, die für das WhimsyStamps Halloweeners Team entstanden ist, dann doch nicht...

I have another spooky card today. Well, actually this card, that I made for the WhimsyStamps Halloweeners team, isn't that spooky at all...

 

Es gibt ja die klassichen Halloweenfarben wie orange, grün und lila. Ich wollte mal etwas anderes machen - und da fiel mir ein, wie gerne ich letztes Jahr türkisfarbene Kürbisse auf Karten verwendet hat. Nun, das wäre doch mal eine schöne Abwechslung und passt auch super zu einer Halloweenkarte. Also habe ich für den Hintergrund erstmal ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock genommen und mit Distress Spray Stain Salvaged Patina und Uncharted Mariner, Black Soot sowie Wasser besprüht. Und weil der Hintergrund bereits so toll fleckig aussieht, habe ich auf weitere Splatter verzichtet. 

 

There are the traditional Halloween colors like orange, green and purple. But I wanted to use another color for  a change. And that's when I remembered how much I liked those turquoise pumpkins last year. That would be a nice change and also works great on a Halloween card.

So for my background I took a piece of watercolor cardstock and sprayed it with Distress Spray Stain Salvaged Patina, Uncharted Mariner and Black Soot and also some water.  And since the background is already so wonderfully splotchy I skipped any other type of splatter on this card.

 

 In der Mitte meiner Karte steht ein großer Grabstein. Der ist mit der Slimline Decrepit Grave Stanze gemacht und einfach in der Höhe gekürzt, so dass er auf die Karte passt. 

Ich habe den kompletten Grabstein einmal aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und einmal aus hellgrauem, dabei habe ich dann die mittleren Teile mit weiteren Stanzen aus dem Set sowie die Grundsteine unten ausgestanzt. Ich habe die hellen Teile mit etwas Distress Spray Stain Lost Shadow, die dunklen mit etwas Weathered Wood und Hickory Smoke besprüht. 

Dann habe ich auf den dunkleren hinteren Teil mit Stempeln aus dem Grave Epiphany Stempelset bestempelt: eine Risse mit schwarzer Tinte und zudem eine Inschrift im Grabstein. Die sollte zu dem später hinzugefügten Gelb passen. Also habe ich sie mit weißer Tinte aufgestempelt und dann mit Distress Embossing Glaze Wild Honey embosst. So sieht es fast wie eine alte verwitterte Gold-Inschrift aus. 

 

In the center of my card I put up a large tombstone. I made that with the Slimline Decrepit Grave die but cut it shorter to make it fit onto my A2 sized card.

I die cut the whole tombstone from dark grey cardstock and then again from light grey, cutting out of that also the smaller elements from the die set. I also cut the base pieces from the light grey cardstock. I sprayed some Distress Spray Stain Lost Shadow onto the lighter pieces and Weathered Wood and Hickory Smoke onto the dark one.

Then I stamped different stamps from Grave Epiphany onto the darker back piece: some cracks with black ink and also a text. I wanted this to go with the yellow color I wanted to add later. So I stamped those with white pigment ink and then embossed it with Distress Embossing Glaze Wild Honey. Now it looks like an old weathered inscription. 

 

 Natürlich durften ein paar Motive auf meiner Karte nicht fehlen. Und so habe ich einige der süßen - sorry, gruseligen! - Katzen aus dem Set Cat-O-Lanterns auf die Karte gepackt. Ich habe sie mit Copics coloriert und dabei für die Kürbisse Türkis benutzt. Das war schließlich die ideengebende Idee für die Farbkombi der Karte. Dann habe ich die Motive mit der Hand ausgeschnitten und am unteren Rand der Karte verteilt aufgeklebt. 

Und weil ich den Text aus dem Grave Epiphany Set von der "bezugsfertigen Wohnung mit Parkett-Boden und ruhiger Nachbarschaft" so genial finde, habe ich den kurzerhand auch noch benutzt. Ich habe die Texte schwarz auf hell-türkisfarbenen Cardstock gestempelt und mit türkisfarbenen Copics ein grobes Holzmuster aufgemalt. Dann habe ich die Texte ausgeschnitten und damit sie mehr wie ein Holzstück aussehen, die Enden einfach abgerissen. Dann habe ich beides an einen weiteren schmalen Streifen türkisfarbenen Cardstocks geklebt. Dieses Schild habe ich dann hinter die Katzen vor den Grabstein gesetzt. Ob die Katzen hier nun Wohnungsinteressierte sind oder sich dachten, sie nutzen die leere Location für eine kleine Halloweenparty, kann ich gar nicht sagen.

 

Of course my card needed a few images and I decided to go with some of the cute - sorry, spooky! - cats from Cat-O-Lanterns. I colored them with Copics and used turquoise for the pumpkins. After all that was the idea that started the whole card. I cut the images out with my scissors and scattered them along the bottom of my card.

And since I really love the text about the "vacant, move in ready spot with hardwood floors and quite neighbors" from Grave Epiphany so much I decided, to add those to the card as well. I stamped them with black ink onto light turquoise cardstock and then added some kind of wood pattern with turquoise Copics. I cut the texts out and to make the strips look more like wooden planks I simply tore off the edges instead of cutting them off. I adhered them to another slim strip of the turquoise cardstock and then put them between the cats and the tombstone. I really can't tell if those cats are interested in the property or just decided to use it for a little Halloween party while it's vacant. 

 

 An Halloween darf natürlich ein Vollmond nicht fehlen. Für den habe ich einfach mit einer großen Kreis-Handstanze einen Kreis aus gelbem Cardstock gestanzt und die Ränder ein wenig mit Distress Ink Wild Honey gewischt. Mit einem Versamark-Marker habe ich dann ein paar unregelmäßige Flecken auf den Mond gemalt und dort wieder etwas des Distress Embossing Glaze Wild Honey aufgestreut. Nach dem Schmelzen sehen die Flecken nun aus wie Mondkrater. 

Ich habe den Mond auf den Himmel geklebt und zusätzlich einige Fledermäuse aus dem Set Bat Revealers am Himmel verteilt. Die Fledermäuse habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Zwischen ihnen war noch ein wenig Platz für ein paar gelbe Sterne.

 

Of course there has to be a full moon on Halloween. I simply punched a large circle from yellow cardstock using a handheld punch and inked the edges with Ditress Ink Wild Honey. Then I drew some spots with a Versamark marker onto the moon - not really caring much about their size, shape or position - and put more of the Distress Embossing Glaze Wild Honey onto it. Once the powder is melted those splotches look like craters in the moon.  

I adhered the moon to the sky and also added some bats from Bat Revealers that I cut from black cardstock. And between them there was a bit of space left for some yellow clay stars.

 

 Zum Zusammensetzen des Grabsteins und Aufkleben der Katzen habe ich 3D Tape benutzt.

Ich habe dann einige Zeit überlegt, ob die Karte nicht vielleicht noch einen "richtigen" Text braucht, mich dann aber dagegen entschieden und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. 

 

To put together the tombstone and attach the cats I used foam tape.

I really wasn't sure if this card needed a "real" text but then I decided against it and just glued the card panel to a white note card. 

 

Trifold Card im Herbstlook

Vor kurzem habe ich Euch eine Trifold Card mit den Stanzen von ScrappyTails gezeigt. Die war ja im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes und mit voller Absicht gruselig, war ja auch eine Halloween-Karte. Aber ich habe so viele Ideen mit den Sets, und eine davon zeige ich Euch heute. Diese Trifold Card kommt im Herbstlook daher.

A little ago I shared a Trifold Card with you, that I made with the dies by ScrappyTails. It was literally and with all good intentions spooky, it was a Halloween card. But I have so many ideas with these sets and one of them I am sharing with you today. This Trifold Card comes in a fall look. 

 

 Für die Karte habe ich eigentlich hauptsächlich das Christmas House Trifold Set benutzt. Im Inneren kamen später noch zwei weitere Sets zum Einsatz, dazu dann aber mehr.

Die geschlossene Karte zeigt wieder eine Tür, diesmal aber kleiner und mitsamt der Hausfront. Dahinter kann man schon das Dach des etwas höheren Mittelpanels sehen.  

 

For this card I mainly used the Christmas House Trifold die set. On the inside I later used pieces from two other sets, but more about that a little later.

The closed card once again shows a door, this time a smaller one and with the whole house front visible. Behind it you can see the roof of the a bit taller center panel of the card.

 

Die Karte ist zwar herbstlich, aber eher in gedeckten Farben gehalten. Das liebe ich einfach - und so sieht auch die Deko bei mir zu Hause aus.  

Das Haus auf der Kartenfront habe ich aus hellgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und mit meinem Falzbrett Querlinien eingefalzt, so dass die Front wie aus Panelen bestehend aussieht. Außerdem  habe ich mit Polychromos ganz leicht eine Art Holzstruktur aufgemalt. 

Die Dächer aller Teile der Karte sind aus schwarzem Cardstock gemacht. Da es eigentlich ein Weihnachtshaus hat, liegt dort Schnee auf dem Dach. Den habe ich einfach gerade abgeschnitten. 

Die Tür, die seitlichen Fenster und das halbrunde Fenster habe ich aus der Hausfront und einem Stück weißen Cardstocks gestanzt. Hinter die Hausfront habe ich erst Acetate, dann braun-grauen Cardstock geklebt. In die Ausschnitten der Fenster und Türen habe ich dann die entsprechenden Rahmen, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock, geklebt. Die Kassetten der Tür habe ich aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock gemacht. Den weißen Cardstock mit den Fenstern habe ich dann mit der Schere ausgeschnitten und oben aufgeklebt.

Bei der Treppe habe ich ein wenig getrickst: sie ist eigentlich die obere Abdeckung des Kamins aus dem Set. Ich habe sie per Partial Diecutting ein wenig verlängert und umgedreht auf die Karte geklebt. Schon wird eine Treppe daraus.

Kranz und Girlande sind ebenfalls aus dem Christmas House Set. Ich habe jeweils ein craftfarbenes und ein moosgraues Stanzteil aufeinander geklebt und alles mit gelben Schleifen dekoriert. Auf die Girlande habe ich noch kleine goldene Perlen geklebt.

Oben in den Dachgiebel habe ich die Laterne aus dem Set, wieder aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, aufgehängt.  

Unten auf der Treppe stehen dann noch zwei Kürbisse und zwei Laternen, die ich in meinem Stanzenfundus hatte. Die Laternen sind von Charlie und Paulchen, die Kürbisse aus einem Set von Action. 

 

 The card is an autumn card but I went with a muted color combo. I just love these colors and that's also what my decorations at home look like.

I die cut the house on the card front from light grey cardstock and used a scoring board to add some horizontal stripes to it, like it's covered with panels. I also added a very soft wooden pattern to the house with my Polychromos.

I cut the roofs for all the panels from blak cardstock. Since this is originally a christmas set there's snow on the roof. I simply cut those off in a straight line. 

I die cut the door, the windows to its side and the  half circle window from the front of the house and a piece of white cardstock. Then I put acetate and a piece of grey-ish brown cardstock behind the house. Into the window cut outs I glued the frames, cut from black cardstock. The penals on the door I have cut from dark grey cardstock. Then I used my scissors to cut arund the door and windows cut from white cardstock and glued that on.

For the stairs I went a bit creative: originally that's the mantle of the fireplace from the set. I did some partial die cutting to make it longer and glued it on upside down. 

The wreath and garland are also from the Christmas House set. I die cut each from kraft colored and moss grey cardstock and glue them onto each other, then decorated both with a yellow bow. Onto the garland I glued some small gold pearls.

Under the roof I've hung the lantern from the set, again cut from black cardstock.

Onto the stairs I placed a lantern and a pumpkin to each side of the door. I had those in my stash - the lanterns are by Charlie und Paulchen, the pumpkins from a set by Action.

 

 Öffnet man die erste Lage der Karte werden wieder das linke innere sowie die Rückseite des rechten inneren Teils sichtbar. Irgendwie tue ich mich mit der Deko dieser Rückseite immer am schwersten. Hier habe ich einen Durchgang gestaltet, der in ein warm-leuchtendes Zimmer zu führen scheint.

 

When you open the first layer of the card you see the left inside and the back of the ride inside panels. Somehow this backside is always the hardes for me to decorate. Here I created some kind of passageway, that seems to leed into a warmly glowing room.

 

 Alle inneren Hausteile habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit grau-braunen Polychromos jeweils einige Ziegelsteine aufgemalt. 

Der Durchgang ist eigentlich als Hintergrund für den Kamin im Christmas House gedacht. Ich habe ihn aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und mit rötlich braun-creme farbenem Cardstock - sorry, ein besserer Name fällt mir für die Farbe nicht ein - hinterlegt. Dort habe ich dann mit weißem Embossingpulver einen Text aus dem Autumn Blessings Set von MFT aufembosst und mit einem weißen Herz sowie einigen goldenen Perlen dekoriert. Von den Rändern her habe ich den Cardstock dann noch mit etwas Distress Ink Tea Dye schattiert.

Den Boden am unteren Ende hier habe ich wieder aus hellgrauem Cardstock gemacht. Ich habe einfach eine der von der Hausfront abgeschnittenen Klebelaschen benutzt. 

Die Deko wiederholt sich auf allen Panelen: Kürbis, Laterne sowie hier noch zwei Blätter und ein Zweig. 

Oben im Dachspitz habe ich einen Kranz aufgehängt. Da der aus dem Christmas House Set hier etwas verloren wirkte, habe ich auf den Small Wreath von LawnFawn zurückgegriffen und ihn wieder mit einer gelben Schleife dekoriert. 

 

I die cut all the inner house pieces from white cardstock and added a few bricks with grey-ish brown Polychromos.

The doorway is originally meant to be a backdrop for the fireplace in the Christmas House set. I die cut it from black cardstock and backed it with some reddish brown-cream cardstock - sorry, I really don't know how to describe this color. I white heat embossed a text from the Autumn Blessings stamp set by MFT onto the center and decorated it with a small white heart and a few gold pearls. I also darkened the edges of the cardstock with a bit of Distress Ink Tea Dye.

The floor on this panel is made from light grey cardstock again. I simply used part of one of the flaps that I cut off the house front.

The decorations are kind of the same on all panels: pumpkins, lanterns and here two leaves and a branch. 

Under the roof I put a wreath. Since the one from the Christmas House set looked a bit lost here I used the Small Wreath by LawnFawn and decorated the wreath with another yellow bow.

 

 Und so sieht die Karte dann komplett geöffnet aus. Ganz ehrlich, ich würde dort gerne stundenlang an einem der Fenster sitzen und den bunten Blättern beim Tanzen im Wind zusehen...

 

This is what the card looks opened completly. Honestly, I'd love to sit at one of those windows for hours, watching the colorful leaves dance in the wind...

 

 Die beiden seitlichen Panele sind identisch aber gespiegelt dekoriert. 

Für das Fenster habe ich das Halloween Window Trifold Add-On Set benutzt, das Fenster ist aber eigentlich viel höher. Ich habe jeweils den unteren Teil weggeschnitten: zwei Fensterreihen für die seitlichen Panele, eines für das mittlere. Dort wollte ich das Fenster höher haben, fast wie bodentiefe Terrassentüren. Die Fensterrahmen habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und mit der Schere minimal größere Ausschnitten in die Hausteile geschnitten.

Die Ausschnitte habe ich mit Folie und grau-blauem Cardstock, auf den ich etwas weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt habe, hinterlegt.

Auf den grau-blauen Cardstock hinter den seitlichen Panelen habe ich jweils einen knorrigen Baum - ich habe keine Ahnung, von wem die Stanze ist, ich habe die schon ewig - aufgeklebt und einige grün-graue sowie orange-braune Blätter angeklebt. Einige weitere Blätter fliegen im Wind. Die Blätter sind mit der Blätter-Stanze von Create a Smile gemacht.

An jedem Fenster hängt wieder ein Kranz, gemacht mit der Stanze von LawnFawn. Und weil das Fenster noch etwas nackt aussah, habe ich an den unteren Rand je eine Girlande aufgehängt. Die ist mit dem Christmas Garland Set von LawnFawn gemacht und passt daher perfekt zum Kranz. 

Hinter der Girlande habe ich dannn wieder einige Laternen, diesmal aus hellgrauem Cardstock gestanzt, aufs nicht vorhandene Fensterbrett gestellt. Und in die Mitte der Girlande habe ich jeweils ein kleines weißes Herz geklebt, um die Stelle, an der sich die Äste teilen, zu überdecken. 

 

I created both side panels identically, but mirrored.

For the window I used the Halloween Window Trifold Add-On set, but the window from this set is originally a lot taller. I cut off the bottom for all three panels: two rows of small windows for the side panels and one row for the center panel. I wanted the window there to be taller, just like a double winged patio door. I cut the window frames from black cardstock and used my scissors to cut a slightly larger area from the house pieces.

Again I put acetate and some grey-ish blue cardstock, that I splattered some white acrylic paint onto, behind the cut outs in the house panels.

Onto the grey-ish blue cardstock, that I put behind the side panels, I glued a gnarly tree - I have no idea who makes/made this die, I have it since ages. To the trees I glued some grey-ish green and orange-ish brown leaves, a few more a flying in the wind. The leaves I cut using the Blätter die by Create a Smile.

I glued a wreath to each window, made again using the die by LawnFawn. And since the windows still looked a bit plain I added a garland under each. I used the Christmas Garland set by LawnFawn, so the garlands match the wreaths perfectly.

Behind the garland I put a few more lanterns, this time cut from light grey cardstock, onto not-really-there windowsill. And onto the center of each garland I glued  a white clay heart onto the spot, where the branches meet, to cover this area.

 

 Hinter das Fenster im höheren mittleren Panel habe ich Birkenstämme geklebt, auf die ich mit Polychromos eine Rinde aufgemalt habe. Außerdem wachsen hier drei große Sonnenblumen. Und auch hier fliegen viele Blätter durch die Luft - ohne sah die Szene hier einfach zu winterlich aus.

Die Girlande hängt hier, mit Schleife dekoriert, über dem Fenster, da es ja bis zum Boden herunter geht.  

 

Behind the window in the taller center piece I glued some birch trees, that I added a bark pattern to with my Polychromos. There are also three sunflowers blooming there. And again a lot of leaves are flying in the wind - this scene looked way to wintery without them.

On this panel I put up the garland, decorated with a bow, above the window because the window goes all the way down to the floor/edge of the card. 

 

 Eigentlich wollte ich hier das nach vorne/unten klappende halbrunde Panel gar nicht mit verwenden, weil ich Angst hatte, dass die Deko zu viel von den Sonneblumen verdecken würde. Ich habe mich dann aber doch anders entschieden. das Panel aber so gekürzt, dass nur noch der vordere Schlitz für die zu dekorierende Lasche zu sehen ist. Direkt am zweiten Schlitz befindet sich die von mir hinzugefügte Falzlinie. 

Auf die Lasche habe ich einen Korb mit Kürbis, Ast und Blatt sowie davor zwei Laternen, einen kleineren Kürbis und ein Blatt geklebt. In den Korb habe ich außerdem ein Schild mit einem aufgestempelten "happy fall", wieder aus dem Set von MFT, gesteckt. Und weil auf diesem Panel noch das weiße Herz fehlte, habe ich das kurzerhand auf den kleinen Kürbis geklebt.

 

 I hadn't planned to add the half circle shaped panel, that folds down/forwards, to this card because I was afraid, that the deorations on it would cover too much of the sunflowers. I changed my mind but made the panel shorter so only one of the slits for the flaps with the decorations is left. I made a score line directly along the slit behind it.

Onto the flap I glued a basket with a pumpkin, a branch and a leaf, in front of it I placed two lanterns, a smaller pumpkin and another leaf. I also put a sign with a stamped on "happy fall", again from the set by MFT, into the basket. And since this panel was still missing the small white heart I simply glued that onto the smaller pumpkin.

Heute zeige ich Euch meine Karte mit dem dritten - und letzten - Motiv aus dem Fall Harvest Stempelset von PapertreyInk: ein Apfel.Und natürlich ist damit wieder eine Herbstkarte entstanden. 

 

Hello everyone!

Today I am sharing with you a card with the third - and last - image from the Fall Harvest stamp set by PapertreyInk: an apple. And of course I made a fall card with it.

 

Man sieht der Karte an, dass sie "in einem Rutsch" mit der Kürbiskarte entstanden ist, denn die Elemente sind teilweise die selben. 

Auch hier besteht zumindest ein Teil des Hintergrunds aus dem Bermgras-Cardstock. Im unteren Bereich der Karte habe ich darauf einen Streifen brauner Wellpappe, auf die mit goldener Metallic-Watercolor Sprenkel aufgetragen habe, aufgeklebt.

Und auf den Hintergrund kam dann ein Rahmen, gemacht mit einem der Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames von WaffleFlower. Die sind ja eigentlich auf das etwas weniger hohe amerikanische A2-Format ausgelegt. Da ich den Rahmen aber aus zwei unterschiedlichen Cardstocks zusammengesetzt habe, konnte ich ihn etwas verlängern und passend für die deutsche A6-Karte machen. Der obere Teil des Rahmens ist aus normalem weißem, der untere aus dem gelben Natur-Cardstock gemacht.

 

You can tell, that I made thise card and the pumpkin card in one sitting because some of the elements are the same.

Again I used a piece of the Bermgras natural cardstock for the background. In the lower half of the card I glued a piece of brown corrugated cardstock, that I splattered some gold metallic watercolor onto, on top of the Bermgras cardstock.

And on  that background I glued a frame, made using one of the Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames by WaffleFlower. Those are made to fit the american A2 card size. Since I put it together from two different colors of cardstock I was able to make it fit the slightly taller german A6 card size. The top part of the frame is made from regular white, the bottom from that yellow natural cardstock.

 

 Die Motive sind wieder mit dem Bermgras-Cardstock gemacht. Die Äpfel samt dem Blatt oben habe ich mit roter, brauner und hellgrüner Tinte gestempelt. Die Blätter neben den Äpfeln sind mit den Stitched Leaves und Small Stitched Leaves von LawnFawn gemacht. 

Und wieder kamen hier Polychromos zum Einsatz - bei den Äpfeln, um ihnen Details zu geben, die Blätter sind komplett damit coloriert. Auf die Blätter habe ich wieder goldene Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt.

Ich habe die Motive mit der Hand ausgeschnitten und auf die Nahtstelle der beiden Cardstockarten geklebt, dann habe ich die Blätter dahinter gesetzt.

Unten rechts unter den Motiven habe ich einen kleinen Text aufgeklebt. Der ist ebenfalls aus dem Set Fall Harvest und eigentlich etwas gebogen, so dass er auf das Banner im Set passt. Ich habe ihn im Mist gerade gebogen und dann weiß auf gelben Cardstock embosst.  

 

Again I made the images with/on the Bermgras cardstock. The apples including the leave are stamped with red, brown and light green ink. The leaves next to the apples I die cut using the Stitched Leaves and the Small Stitched Leaves by LawnFawn.

And also again I used Polychromos on this card - on the apples to give them some depth and details, the leaves are colored with them completly. Onto the leaves I splattered more of the gold metallic watercolor. 

I cut the images out with my scissors and glued them onto the seam of the two types of cardstock, then put the leaves behind.

On the right side I added a small text under the images. This text is also from Fall Harvest and a bit rounded to make it fit the banner in the set. I bent it in my Misti to get it into a straight line, then white heat embossed it onto yellow cardstock.

 

 Der Text ist wieder aus dem Autumn Blessings Stempelset von MFT. Ich war mir bei der Kürbiskarte nicht sicher, welchen Text ich verwenden wollte, und hatte vorsichtshalber beide weiß auf gelben Cardstock embosst. Auf der anderen Karte hatte mir dann das Hey there, Pumpkin doch besser gefallen und das Autumn Blessings blieb für diese Karte übrig. 

 

The text is again from Autumn Blessings by MFT. When I made the pumpkin card I wasn't sure which text I wanted to use and white heat embossed both onto yellow cardstock. I like the Hey there, Pumpkin better with the pumpkin image so the Autumn Blessings text was left over for this card. 

 

 Ich habe 3D Tape verwendet, um die Texte und Äpfel etwas erhaben aufzukleben. 

Als Deko habe ich eine Schleife aus Twine an den Stiel des rechten Apfels geklebt, außerdem habe ich drei weiße Herzen auf den Äpfeln angeklebt. Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar orange-gelblich irisierende Perlen auf der Karte verteilt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used foam tape to pop up the texts and apples.

As decoration I tied a bow from twine and glued that to the stem of the right apple, I also glued three white clay hearts onto the images. I scattered a few orange-yellowish iridescent pearls on the background and adhered the card panel to a white note card.

Heute habe ich eine weitere Karte, die ich für das WhimsyStamps Halloweeners Team gemacht habe. Äh, Halloween? Ja, wartet es ab - manchmal zeigt eine Karte nicht gleich alles.... ;)

I am sharing another card I made as a member of the WhimsyStamps Halloweeners Team. Halloween? Well, yes, just wait for it - some cards don't reveal everything at first sight... ;)

 

Erstmal sieht die Karte so aus, wie die schön tapezierte Wand in einem alten Herrenhaus, an der die schön gerahmten Scherenschnitte zwei der Bewohner hängen.  Hat man ja so gemacht....

Um die Wand habe ich einen Rahmen aus schwarzem Cardstock geklebt, den ich einfach mit meinem Papierschneider geschnitten habe. 

 

At first this card looks like the nicely wallpapered wall in an old mansion, two nicely framed silhouettes of the ones living there hung up on the wall. That's what they did back then, right...

I created a frame from black cardstock around the wall, simply cutting it with my paper cutter.

 

 Für die Tapete habe ich in meinem Fundus ein Stück passendes Designpapier gefunden, das schön dezent aussieht und außerdem etwas Struktur hat. 

Die Bilderrahmen sind mit dem Forever Cameo Frames Set gemacht. Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Auf die Ränder habe ich ein wenig goldenes Gilding Wax aufgetupft. Jeder Rahmen ist mit drei weiteren weißen Stanzteilen hinterlegt. 

Hinter den Rahmen befinden sich kleine Stücke farblich passendes  Designpapier. Und in den Rahmen befinden sich dann die Scherenschnitte. Die sind aus dem Set Forever Cameo und aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Den Kopf des Mannes habe ich ein weiteres Mal aus rotem Designpapier gestanzt und nur einen Streifen als Hutdeko daraus ausgeschnitten. Die Dame habe ich mit einer roten Blume dekoriert. 

Unter den Bildern befinden sich kleine Schilder mit dem Jahr, in dem die Bilder gemacht wurden. Dafür habe ich einen Teil eines Stempels aus dem Set Grave Epiphany benutzt und den Rahmen mit einem schwarzen Fineliner aufgemalt. 

 

For the wallpaper I found a piece of patterned paper in my stash, that's pretty subtle and also has a bit of  a structure. 

The picture frames I made with the Forever Cameo Frames die set. I cut them from white cardstock and colored them with Copics. I also dabbed a bit of gold gilding wax onto the edges. Each frame is backed with three more white die cuts.

Behind the frame I put small pieces of patterned paper in a matching color. And inside the frames there are the silhouettes.  Those are from the Forever Cameo set and cut from black cardstock. I die cut the man's hat again from red patterened paper and cut out a strip as decoration on the black hat. The lady I decorated with a red flower.

Under the pictures there are small signs, showing the year those silhouettes have been created. I used part of a stamp from Grave Epiphany here and added the frame with a black fineliner.

 

  

Nun, ward Ihr aber in dem selben Herrenhaus schon mal an Halloween...?

Ich nehme Euch mit! Denn dann sieht es dort ganz anders aus und die Bewohner zeigen ihr wahres Gesicht...

Der Rahmen, der auf der Vorderseite sichtbar ist, lässt sich nach oben aufklappen. Ich habe einfach zwei weitere Rahmen samt Designpapier  gestaltet. Das Designpapier habe ich hier mit einem Sanding Block etwas altern lassen und außerdem ein paar Risse in die Tapete eingefügt. Außerdem habe ich etwas schwarze Metallic-Watercolor auf die Tapete aufgespritzt.

Einen der Rahmen habe ich von hinten gegen den ersten Rahmen geklebt und alles mit einem gefalzten Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks mit dem dritten Rahmen verbunden. Den habe ich dann auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

The frame, that's visible on the front, can be folded up. I simply created two more frames, putting the same patterned paper behind it. I just used a sanding block to distress the wallpaper and even added a few tears. I aso splattered some black metallic watercolor onto the wallpaper.

I glued one of these frames behind the first one and then connected these frames to the third one by adding a strip of folded black cardstock. Then I glued this third frame to a white note card.

 

 Kommen Euch die Personen in den Bilderrahmen irgendwie bekannt vor? Ja, es sind die selben, wie auch auf der Vorderseite! Wie aber kann es sein, dass sie bereits 1467 gestorben sind, wenn doch die Bilder auf der Vorderseite erst 1859 entstanden sind...? 

Die Bilderrahmen habe ich hier aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und mit grün-goldenem Gilding Wax betupft. Außerem habe ich sie rot hinterlegt - auch das rote Papier ist mit einem Sanding Block bearbeitet.

Die beiden Köpfe sind ebenfalls aus dem Forever Cameo Set. Ich habe sie jeweils aus schwarzem und weißem Cardstock gestanzt und Haare, Hut und Kleidung des schwarzen Stanzteils abgeschnitten und auf die weißen Köpfe geklebt. Das Band am Hut des Mannes ist wieder aus rotem Designpapier, die Dame trägt (trug schon damals) eine rote Blume im Haar.  

 

Do those persons in the picture frames look familiar to you? Yes, they are the same ones like on the card front! But how is it possible that they already died back in 1467 when the pictures on the card fron were made in 1859...?

This time I die cut the picture frames from black cardstock and dabbed some green gold gilding wax onto them. I also put red patterned paper behind them - again using  a sanding block to make them look old.

The two heads are again from Forever Cameo. I die cut them from both white and black cardstock, then cut off the clothes, hair and hat of the black die cuts and glued it onto the white ones.  The ribbon on the man's hat I cut again from red patterned paper, the lady is wearing (has been wearing already back then) a red flower in her hair.

 

 Und im oberen inneren Rahmen befindet sich ein Halloween-Gruß. Den habe ich  mit der Scary Night  Word Stanze aus schwarzem, die Schleimlage aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und die weiße Lage dann mit Copics grau-braun coloriert. 

In beide Rahmen habe ich Spinnweben aus weißem Cardstock in die Ecken geklebt. Und auch eine Spinne darf dann natürlich nicht fehlen. Beides ist aus dem Spiders and Webs Stanzenset. Bei der Spinne habe ich den Körper wieder aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und passend zum Schleim auf den Buchstaben coloriert. 

 

And in the top inner frame I added a Halloween greeting. I used the Scary Night Word die set to cut the word from black, the slime-layer from white cardstock. These white pieces I then colored with my Copics a grey-ish brown. 

I glued spider webs in the corners of both inner frames, and a spider just had to go on this card, too. Both is from the Spiders and Webs die set. The spider's body I also cut from white cardstock and colored it matching the slime on the text.

 

 Damit sich die Rahmen schön flach aufeinander klappen lassen, habe ich im Inneren der Karte auf weitere Lagen hinter den Stanzteilen verzichtet.

 

To make sure that the frames lay flat when they are not folded open I didn't add any additonal layers behind the die cut pieces on the inside.

 

Back to School

Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich Euch die Karte gezeigt, die ich für meine kleine Nichte zur Einschulung gemacht habe. Und damit die große Schwester nicht leer ausgeht, habe ich ihr auch eine Back-To-School-Karte gemacht.

A few days ago I shared with you the card I made for my little niece for her very first day of school. To make a little something for her larger sister, too, I made her a back to school card.

 

Ich habe hier hellgrauen und grau-blauen Cardstock genommen und mit der Notebook Edge Stanze von MFT oben einen Spiralblock-Rand ausgestanzt. Den hellgrauen Cardstock habe ich blank gelasssen, da man von ihm nicht viel sieht. Auf den grau-blauen Cardstock habe ich mit grauer Tinte Schullinien aufgestempelt. Dann habe ich auf dieses Cardstockstück noch weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

I used the Notebook Edge die by MFT to cut a notebook edge into pieces of light grey and grey-blue cardstock. I didn't add anything else to the light grey cardstock piece, because you don't see much of it on the finished card. Onto the grey-blue cardstock I stamped some school lines with grey ink and then splattered white acylic paint onto it.

 

 Aus helltürkis-farbenem Cardstock habe ich mit der Push Pin Notes Stanze von Spellbinders einen Notizzettel ausgestanzt. Auch der Pin, der darin steckt, ist aus diesem Set. Beides habe ich mit Copics schattiert. 

Auf dem Notizzettel habe ich  meinen Text angebracht. Das happy habe ich aus hellgrauem und schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, den hellgrauen Teil mit Distress Ink Hickory Smoke leicht schattiert und beide Teile leicht versetzt auf den Notizzettel geklebt. Darunter befindet sich ein weiß embosster "back to school day" text, den ich mit Stempeln aus dem Plan On It Vacation Stempelset von LawnFawn zusammengesetzt habe. Ob das "day" am Ende des Textes hier so richtig ist, weiß ich nicht so genau. Aber weil mir der Text sonst zu kurz war, habe ich es einfach mit angestempelt.

Am linken Rand des grau-blauen Blockblatts habe ich eine Büroklammer angeklebt. Und weil die große Nichte bereits in die 8. Klasse kommt und mir auf der Karte noch ein weiteres rotes Element fehlte, habe ich eine rote Acht darunter geschoben. 

 

From light aqua cardstock I die cut a note using the Push Pin Notes die set by Spellbinders. Also the pin, that I stuck into the note, is from this set.  I shaded both with Copics.

On the note I added my text. I die cut the word happy from light grey and black cardstock, lightly inked the grey one with Distress Ink Hickory Smoke and adhered both words a bit offset to the note. Under it I added a "back to school day", white heat embossed onto black cardstock and made with stamps from Plan On It Vacation by LawnFawn. I have to admit that I am not entirely sure if the word "day" makes any sense in this text, but the text was just a bit too short for my taste so I decided to add it.

I glued a paperclip to the left edge of the grey-blue notebook page. And since my niece started 8th grade, and because I felt like I was missing one red element on my card, I stuck a 8, cut from red cardstock, under the clip. 

 

 Am unteren Rand der Karte befinden sich der Schulranzen, zwei Schulbücher und ein Apfel für die Pause. 

Den Rucksack habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock und grauem Designpapier mit weißen Pünktchen gestanzt und die grauen Teile wieder ein wenig mit Hickory Smoke schattiert. 

Die Bücher sind aus dem Book Collection Set von LawnFawn, aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. Der Apfel ist aus einem Körbchen-Stanzenset von ElzabethCraft.

Und weil ich beim Schattieren des Notizzettels ein klein wenig rote Farbe auf der Spitze meines helltürkis-farbenen Markers hatte und damit einen Fleck auf den Notizzettel gebracht habe, habe ich mit hellgrauer Tinte noch zwei Tintenkleckse aus dem Script Texture Set von WaffleFlower aufgestempelt, einen davon auf den roten Fleck. Den konnte ich mit einem Colorless Blender vorher etwas abmildern, so dass er nur noch ganz leicht durch den grauen Klecks zu sehen ist. Es sieht jetzt aber aus wie gewollt... ;)

 

Along the bottom edge of the card I added a school bag, two school books and an apple.

I die cut the bag from black cardstock and grey patterned paper with tiny white dots. The grey pieces I shaded again with some Hickory Smoke.

The books are from the Book Collection die set by LawnFawn, cut from white cardstock and colored with Copics. The apple is from a little basket die set by ElizabethCraft.

And since I had a bit of red ink on the tip of my light aqua marker I ended up with a red smudge on my note. I was able to lighten it with a Colorless Blender but it was still visible. So I stamped two ink blobs with light grey ink onto the card, using stamps from the Script Texture set by WaffleFlower. The red is still a bit visible through the grey ink, but now it looks like I had planned it that way... ;)

 

 Natürlich kam beim Zusammensetzen der Karte wieder 3D Tape zum Einsatz... 

Ich habe alle Elemente auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt und zum Schluss einige weiße Sternchen auf der Karte verteilt.

Vor gut zwei Wochen habe ich Euch bereits eine Karte mit Motiven aus dem Fall Harvest Stempelset  von PapertreyInk gezeigt. Neben den Sonnenblumen der schon gezeigten Karte sind noch weitere Motive im Set enthalten. Und der Kürbis darf die Karte zieren, die ich Euch heute zeige.

Roughly two weeks ago I shared with you a card using images from the Fall Harvest stamp set by PapertreyInk. Besides those sunflowers there are more images included in this set. And the pumpkin is the star of the card I am sharing with you today.

 

Für meine Verhältnisse ist die Karte ziemlich clean gehalten. 

Im Hintergrund befindet sich ein Stück Bermgras-Cardstock. Das ist ein wunderbar glatter, in hellem Creme-Grau gehaltener Cardstock mit kleinen Grasstücken darin. Ich habe ihn hier mehrfach verwendet, im Hintergrund habe ich ihn dabei komplett unbearbeitet gelassen.

Darauf befindet sich dann ein Stück gelben Cardstocks, der ebenfalls ein Naturpapier und zudem super dick ist. Da für mich Herbst und Strick zusammengehören, habe ich mit einem Embossingfolder von Sizzix ein Zopfstrickmuster eingeprägt. 

Die Ränder des gelben Cardstocks habe ich leicht currygelb gewischt und dann weiße Acrylfarbe auf den Cardstdock aufgespritzt.

 

For me this is some pretty clean card.

In the background I used a piece of Bermgras cardstock. This is a wonderful smooth, grey-ish cream colored cardstock with small grass pieces in it. I used it in different areas on this card, in the background I didn't do anything to it.

On top I adhered a piece of  yellow cardstock, that's also some kind of natural, very heavy cardstock. Since knit and fall go together perfectly in my world I used an embossing folder by Sizzix to dry emboss a kable knit pattern into the cardstock.

I inked the edges of the cardstock a curry colored yellow and then added splatters of white acrylic paint.

 

 Auf den gelben, embossten Cardstock habe ich dann ein Label gesetzt, auf dem sich mein Motiv befindet. Das Label habe ich mit einer der Elegant Rectangle Stax Sanzen von MFT wieder aus dem Bermgras-Cardstock gestanzt habe. Und mit einer kleineren dieser Nested-Stanzen habe ich dann per Hotfoiling einen goldenen Rahmen auffoliert. Das Folieren geht ja auch mit regulären Stanzen, die folierten Linien sind nur extrem dünn. Aber das war genau das i-Tüpfelchen, das meinem Label hier gefehlt hat.

Die Blätter im Hintergrund habe ich direkt auf das Label gestempelt. Die übrigen Motive habe ich auf ein extra Stück des Bermgras-Cardstocks gestempelt. Zum Stempeln habe ich jeweils farbige Tinte - bruan, hell- und dunkelgelb sowie hell- und dunkelgrün - benutzt und dann die Motive  mit Polychromos etwas schattiert, um ihnen mehr Tiefe zu geben. 

Die Motive, die ich auf den Extra-Cardstock gestempelt habe, habe ich dann mit der Schere ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt. Dabei habe ich ein Blatt an den oberen Rand des Labels geklebt und dort eine Schleife aus naturfarbenem Twine mit befestigt.

Der Text hier ist aus dem Autumn Blessings Stempelset von MFT. Ich habe ihn weiß auf etwas des gelben Cardstocks embosst und ebenfalls ausgeschnitten. 

 

Onto the yellow, dry embossed cardstock I put a label with the images on it. The label I cut from another piece of the Bermgras cardstock using one of the Elegant Rectangle Stax by MFT. And with a smaller die from this set I hotfoiled a thin frame onto the labe. You can hotfoil with a regular die, the foiled lines are just a lot thinner than with a hotfoil plate. But this thin frame was exactly what my label was missing.

The leaves in the background I stamped directly onto the labe, the other images I stamped onto an extra piece of cardstock. I used colored inks to stamp the images - brown, light and dark yellow and light and dark green - and then shaded the images with Polychromos to give them more depth. 

The images, that I had stamped onto  the extra piece of carstock, I cut out with my scissors and glued them onto the labe. I adhered one leaf to the top of the label and added a little bow made from twine to the leaf.

The text is from Autumn Blessings by MFT. I white heat embossed it onto a piece of the yellow cardstock and cut it out.

 

 Ich habe das Label mit 3D Tape auf den embossten Cardstock geklebt und auch die Motive teilweise damit hinterlegt. 

Als Deko habe ich einige hellgelb-irisierende Perlen auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt. 

 

I adhered the label with thin foam tape to the embossed panel and also popped some of the images up with tape.

I added a few light yellow iridescent pearls as decoration and glued the card panel onto a white note card.

 

Mekka-Einkäufe die Zweite

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Im heutigen Post zeige ich Euch ein weiteres Werk, auf dem die ein oder andere Errungenschaft des diesjährigen Stempelmekkas zum Einsatz kam. Und ich glaube, hiermit eröffne ich dann auch die Weihnachtsbastel-Saison. Wobei ich denke, Weihnachtliches wird sich hier noch ein wenig in Grenzen halten. Weil der Nussknacker von CreativeDepot für uns aber zur Mission wurde, musste ich ihn auch zeitnah verbasteln.

In today's post I am sharing with you another project that I used a few of my finds at this year's Stempelmekka on. And I think, with this card christmas craft season is officially here. But don't worry, I will keep christmas stuff very low for quite some time. This nutcracker stamp by CreativeDepot became a mission to us and so I had to use it as soon as possible.

 

Mission? Ich erzähle Euch die Geschichte, dann habt Ihr was zum Schmunzeln.

Das Nussknacker-Motiv war bereits als Vorschau für die am Mekka angebotenen Tüten-Workshops zu sehen, allerdings nur als Deko auf der Tüte. Deren Größe kannten wir nicht und somit auch nicht, wie groß der Stempel sein könnte. Im Lagerfeen-Schnack auf YouTube, in dem jeden Freitag (und somit auch am Tag unserer Anreise) die Neuheiten der Woche gezeigt werden, wurde das Stempelset auch nicht gezeigt. Wir vermuteten schon richtig, dass sie das erstmal nur auf dem Mekka verkaufen wollten - aber keine Angst, es kommt später noch in den Shop. Meine Freundin und ich waren aber so angtan von dem Motiv, dass wir immer weiter drüber reden mussten - und als dann die Neuheiten im Shop waren, konnten wir immerhin rausfinden, dass das Stempelset eine Größe von 10 x 10 cm haben müsste. Also haben wir unser Schul-Mathe hervorgekramt und mit Satz des Pythagoras sowie dem Abzug der nicht ausgefülten Ecken der Stempelfolie die vermutliche Größe errechnet. Übrigens absolut richtig, wie wir am nächsten Morgen im Hotel vom Team von CreativeDepot erfahren haben. 

Dieses Stempelset war dann auch das allererste, das wir auf dem Mekka gekauft haben. Erstens natürlich aus Angst, es könnte später ausverkauft sein und dann auch, weil wie beide absolute Stanzen-Junkies sind und die Messe für uns eher "Stanzen- und paar Stempel-Mekka" heißen müsste. Also wollten wir das Mekka bewusst mit einem Stempel beginnen. Tja, wir Stempler sind manchmal eben ein wenig verrückt.... ;)

So, nun aber zum Projekt. Das ist von der neusten Kollektion von TheGreetery inspiriert. Dort gibt es ein Capsules Stanzen- und Stempelset. Leider verschickt TheGreetery ja schon länger nicht mehr nach Deutschland und der einzige Shop in Europa, der die Firma anbietet, tut dies seit Anfang des Jahres auch nicht mehr. Ich finde das echt schade und ehrlich gesagt bin ich auch ein wenig sauer. Gerade wenn man schon Basis-Artikel der Firma hat, zu denen es immer weitere Erweiterungen gibt, an die man dann aber nicht mehr rankommt. Nun gut, dann probiere ich das Grundprojekt eben so gut es geht nachzubauen. 

Und da kommt schon die erste Mekka-Neuheit ins Spiel: das Fenster mit dem Muster samt Aufleger. Eigentlich ist das ein Fenster-Stanzenset für die Papiertüten von CreativeDepot, das wurde mir aber erst später bewusst. Ich habe es gesehen und dachte mir, es wäre perfekt für diese Karte. Damit habe ich dann das oberste Fenster gestanzt und seitlich je zwei ziehharmonika-förmig gefaltete Papierstreifen angesetzt, zwischen denen sich eine Lage Folie befindet. So poppt die Karte auf, wenn man sie aus dem Umschlag nimmt, lässt sich zum Verschicken aber recht flach zusammenfalten. 

 

Mission? I am telling you the story to give you a good laugh.

CreativeDepot did some giftbag workshops at Stempelmekka and those you had to book in advance. When booking them, you got a preview of the giftbag and some had the nutcracker on them. We didn't know the size of the giftbags and so weren't able to tell the size of the image. Every friday morning - that's the day we traveled to Dortmund - they post a video on YouTube, where they show this week's new products, but the nutcracker wasn't in them.  We thought, maybe it will only be available at the fair and we found out, that we were right. It will be available in the shop later in the year. My friend and I were so in love with the image, that we couldn't stop talk about it. When the new products of the week went online in the shop we found out, that the stamp sheet should be about 10 x 10 cm. So we remembered all the maths we learned back to school and with the help of the Pythagorean Theorem and by subtracting the empty corners of the sheet we thought to have found out the size of the image. When we went to breakfast the next morning some of the CreativeDepot team was there, too, and we had to tell them this story. Turned out that we were completly right about the size. 

So this stamp set was the very first thing we bought at the fair. Not only because we were afraid it might sell out, but also because we are both die-aholics. For us, the fair should be named "dies and a few stamps Mekka" instead of "stamp Mekka". So we decided to make a stamp our first purchase because of the name of the fair. I know, us crafters are a bit crazy every now and then... ;)

Okay, on to the project! It is inspired by the new collection by TheGreetery. They have a new Capsules stamp- and die set. Sadly they don't ship to Germany anymore since quite some time but since about a year the one and only european store, that is allowed to carry them, stopped shipping to the EU, too. I am really sad about it - and also a bit angry. Especially if you have bought some kind of basic die, that they come out with additions now and that you are not able to get anymore. Well, so I had to try to make my own version.

That's where the first Mekka-purchase for today's post comes into play: the window die. It's actually an additional window for the giftbag die, but I only realized that a lot later. I just saw the set and knew it will be perfect for what I had in mind. I die cut the top window with it and put two accordion folded strips to each side of the frame, putting a piece of acetate inbeween. The card pops up when taken out of the envelope but can be folded pretty flat for mailing. 

 

 Im Hintergrund befindet sich ein Stück schwarzen Cardstocks, auf den ich mit weißer Paste die Elemente des ersten Stencils des Poinsettia Layering Stencil Sets von WaffleFlower aufgetragen habe - übrigens ist auch das auf dem Mekka in meine Tasche gewandert - es war der allerletzte Kauf am Sonntag. Somit eröffnet und schließt diese Karte quasi mein diesjähriges Mekka....

 Die Lage 2 habe ich mit silberner Astro-Paste auf Acetate aufgetragen. Durch den Abstand zwischen den beiden Lagen - der ja durch den Cardstockstreifen seitlich entsteht - wirkt das Muster wunderbar plastisch. 

Hinter dem oberen Teil des oberen Rahmens habe ich zwei Pinienäste geklebt. Sie sind aus olivgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und mit etwas weißer Acrylfarbe  betupft. 

Auf den Aufleger mit dem ausgestanzten Fenster habe ich einen Rahmen aus olivgrünem Cardstock geklebt. Dafür habe ich das Fenster erneut ausgestanzt und entlang des gepunkteten Rands mit der Schere ausgeschnitten. So sind übrigens auch die schwarzen Cardstockstücke entstanden, denn die rechteckige  Stanze im Set - die ohne Deko - passt nicht genau zu der mit der Deko, sie ist ein wenig länger. Aber es ging auch so ganz gut.

Unten auf den Rahmen habe ich noch ein Banner aufgeklebt, auf das ich einen Weihnachtsgruß aus dem Set Wonder of Christmas von HoneyBeeStamps aufgestempelt habe. Das Banner ist mit der Elegant Folded Banner Stanze von MFT aus weißem Cardstock gemacht und mit Copics schattiert.

 

In the background there's a piece of black cardstock, that I stenciled the first of the two layering stencils from the Poinsettia layering stencil set by WaffleFlower onto using white paste. This is also something I bought at the fair - acutally it was my very last buy. So this card kind of starts and finishes this year's Mekka for me...

The second layer I did with silver AstroPaste on a piece of acetate. The distance between the layers, created by one of the cardstock strips on the side, makes the pattern wonderfully dimensional.

Behind the top piece of my card I put two pine branches. I cut them from olive green cardstock and dabbed some white acrylic paint onto them.

I glued a frame, made from olive cardstock around the window in the top layer. I simply cut out the window again and cut with my scissors along the dotted line. This is also how I made the base pieces - the plain rectangle die in the set with the giftbag window doesn't work for that, it's a bit taller. But it wasn't too hard to cut by hand.

To the bottom of the frame I put a banner, that I stamped a christmas greeting from Wonder of Christmas by HoneyBeeStamps onto. I die cut the banner from white cardstock using the Elegant Folded Banner die by MFT, then shaded it with Copics.

 

 Und jetzt kommen wir endlich zum Nussknacker, dem Star der Show - äh Karte. Ich wollte ihn weiß-silber colorieren. Also habe ich ihn mit grauer Tinte abgestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Die dunkler grau colorierten Elemente habe ich mit einem Aqua Shimmer Pen beglittert, bei den weißen Elementen habe ich die Outlines mit einem feinen weißen Gelstift nachgemalt. Sie sind durch das Weiß immer noch etwas erkennbar, trotzdem wirken die Elemente so wirklich weiß. Die Outlines der Deko auf der Brust und des Säbels habe ich mit einem silbernen Gelstift nachgemalt. Und die Augen habe ich mit einem scharzen Fineliner nachgemalt, denn die sahen in Grau komisch aus. Oben auf die Edelsteine am Hut habe ich silberne Perlen geklebt. 

Ich habe den Nussknacker mit der Schere ausgeschnitten und dann mit 3D Tape auf die Folie in der Karte geklebt. Dort habe ich dann auch noch ein paar grüne Perlen verteilt. 

 

And now let's finally talk about the nutcracker, who's the star of the show - ehm card - here. I  wanted to color him in white and silver. So I stamped the image with a grey ink pad and colored him with Copics. The darker grey colored elements I made shimmery with an Aqua Shimmer Pen. With the white elements I used a fine white gel pen to go over the stamped lines. They are still kind of visible, but this makes the white pieces appear really white. I re-drew the decoration on the nutcracker's chest with a silver gel pen and re-did his eyes with a black fineliner - they really looked strange in grey. On top of the diamonds on the nutcracker's hat I glued some silver pearls.

I cut the image out with my scissors and adhered him with foam tape to the acetate. Then I also glued some green pearls to the acetate.

 

 Könnt Ihr auf diesem Bild die Tiefe und die verschiedenen Lagen der Karte erkennen? Ich finde den Effekt grandios.

 Sicher  habt Ihr schon die Schleife aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock am oberen Rand der Karte entdeckt - und auch die Schleifenenden am unteren Rand der Karte. Nun, die ist nicht nur Deko, man kann damit ein weiteres Kärtchen, das hinter einem "doppelten Boden" hinten auf der Karte eingebaut ist, herausziehen.

Und diese Idee habe ich in einem Video von TheGreetery gesehen.  

 

For sure you've already spotted the bow, made from silver glitter cardstock, at the top of the card and also the ribbon ends at the bottom. This is not just decoration, you can pull out a card, that's hidden behind a doubled up layer at the back of the card,  with it.

 Die Schleife ist ebenfalls auf dem Mekka gekauft und aus dem Weihnachts-Countdown Stanzenset von Charlie und Paulchen. Statt der im Set enthaltenen Bandenden habe ich einfach gerade Cardstockstreifen aus dem silbernen Glitter-Cardstock geschnitten und unten Dreiecke herausgeschnitten. 

Die Schleife habe ich mit Polychromos ein wenig schattiert und dann mit 3D Tape zusammengesetzt, so dass sie nicht ebenfalls in die Tasche hinter der Karte mit hineinrutschen kann.

 

The bow I made with a die from another set I bought at Stempelmekka. It's from Weihnachts-Countdown by Charlie und Paulchen. Instead of the ribbon ends that are included in the set I simply cut two strips from the silver glitter cardstock and cut little triangles from the ends.

I shaded the bow with Polychromos and then put it together with foam tape to make sure, it doesn't slide into the pocket at the back of the card, too.

 

 Das Kärtchen hier ist übrigens mit der zweiten Stanze aus dem Set mit dem schnörkeligen Fenster, sie passt perfekt hinter meine Karte. Ich habe sie aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und dann ein olivgrünes Etikett mittig aufgeklebt. Auf das habe ich einen weiteren Text aus dem Wonders of Christmas Set weiß aufembosst und einen Rahmen aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock aufgeklebt. Das Etikett ist mit dünnem 3D Tape befestigt, so kann man dahinter eine Geschenkkarte stecken.

Und weil ich noch die olivegrünen Schnörkel vom Gestalten meines Rahmens für die Vorderseite übrig hatte, habe ich den kurzerhand als Deko aufgeklebt. Wie schon erwähnt, passen die beiden Fenster nicht genau auf-/zueinander. Aber ich habe einfach ein Stück in der Länger herausgeschnitten und die Enden passten perfekt in die Rundung meines Tickets.

 

I made this little card with the second die from the giftbag window die set, it fits perfectly behind my card. I cut it from black cardstock and then adhered an olive green label onto it. I white heat embossed another text from Wonders of Christmas onto the labe and then glued a frame, cut from silver glitter cardstock, around it. The label I adhered with thin foam tape, this way a giftcard can easily slid behind the labe. 

And since I had these green flourishs left from creating the frame on the outside of my card I simply used it to decorate the small card. As I already mentioned, the pieces don't fit onto each other. I just cut the sides a bit shorter and the rounded ends fit perfectly into the cut out corners of my label.
