Today I have a birthday card for a - male - music lover to share.
Um das Stempelset Vinyl von Create a Smile bin ich schon länger rumgeschlichen. Auf dem Mekka habe ich es mir nun endlich gekauft - unter anderem. Das Stempelset Radio ist einfach die perfekte Ergänzung.
Und so habe ich den Hintergrund mit den Musiknoten aus dem Set Radio gemacht. Ich habe sie schwarz embosst und mit Distress Oxide in Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass und Broken China darübergewischt. Auf den Bildern kann man es leider nicht erkennen - das Wetter war einfach zu schlecht - aber von unten nach oben gibt es einen Farbverlauf von dunkel zu hell.
I've been eyeing with the Vinyl stamp set by Create a Smile for quite a while. And at the stamp fair in Hagen about a week ago I finally purchased it - and other sets. The radio stamp set is just the perfect addition to this one.
And so I've used the music notes from the Radio stamp set to create the background. I've black heat embossed the notes and then used Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass and Broken China to color the white cardstock in. Sadly you can't see it on the pictures - the weather was just too grey so there wasn't enough light - but I've created an ombre look from the bottom to the top, starting with the darker tones on the bottom and ending with the light one on the top.

Ich bin sicher, dass viele von Euch auch mal einen hatten - einen guten alten Plattenspieler. Den habe ich hier nachgebaut. Mit On- und Off-Knopf und sonst keinen technischen Spielereien.

When I've seen the stamp set for the very first time I knew the record would have to turn on a card. Here I've added two more extras - and now it looks like this:

Sorry, die Karte ist mir "unterwegs" ein klein wenig verrutscht. Aber gleichzeitig an zwei Stellen ziehen, filmen und die Karte festhalten hat mich ein klein wenig überfordert.
Sorry, the card moved a little while I did the video. But pulling in two areas, filming and holding the card in place was a bit too much for just one person.
Ihr habt es ja schon gesehen, aber ich habe noch das Notenbanner aus dem Stempelset Radio mitbenutzt und darauf den Happy Birthday to You Text aufgestempelt. Das ganze habe ich dann mit einem Double Slider unter dem Plattenspieler versteckt. Naja, nicht ganz. Aber hätte ich das Banner weitere links angeklebt, hätte man nur "irthday to you" lesen können. So steht es eben von vornherein schon ein klein wenig heraus. Hier nochmal in komplett ausgezogenem Zustand:

Then I've put it under the record player, including a Double Slider element here. Well, it isn't hidden completly. But when I've glued the saying a bit more to the left the strip would only slide out as much that you could only read "irthday to you". Well, I guess it's better then to see part of it from the beginning than not being able to read the full text. Here's another photo for you:

Den Plattenarm habe ich ordentlich mit Moosgummi unterlegt und ebenfalls mit einem Brad angebracht. So kann man ihn - wie es sich gehört - zum Starten auf die Platte legen.
The end of the arm is doubled up with some foam and then I've attached it to the card with a brad. That makes it possible to put the arm onto the record to start it - just as we all know it.
