Monströs....

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

In weniger als einem Monat ist Weihnachten! Das klingt so wenig wenn man bedenkt, wie viel noch getan werden muss oder möchte. Und weil ich noch nicht alle Weihnachtskarten fertig habe, zeige ich Euch heute eine weitere ebensolche. Und doch kam hier nicht viel Weihnachtliches zum Einsatz.

It's less than a month till christmas! That sounds so little when I think of all the things that need to be done. And since I don't have all my christmas cards made yet I am sharing another one today. But I didn't use really many christmas stamps and dies on this card.

Ich habe hier ein Stück weißen Cardstock genommen und grün gemattet. Auf den Cardstock habe ich mit Hilfe der Captivating Mandala Schablone und Distress Ink Bundled Sage ein dezentes Muster aufgewischt. Den unteren Teil der Karte habe ich bewusst für den Text freigelassen.

In die Mitte der Karte kam ein Geschenk. Das habe ich einfach mit der Rechteckstanze aus dem Set Rectangle Shaker Window and Frame aus weißem Cardstock ausgestanzt und darauf die Sterne aus dem Set Monster Sized aufgestempelt. Anschließend habe ich alles Coloriert. Oben auf das Geschenk kam eine Schleife, die ich wieder aus dem Stempelset Secret Santa genommen habe. Das Geschenkband ist einfach ein schmaler Streifen Cardstock, den ich aufgeklebt habe.

Unter das Geschenk habe ich noch einen der Oval Shadows geklebt, damit es nicht so in der Luft hängt.

Here I've used a piece of white cardstock and matted it with some green cardstock. Then I've used the Captivating Mandala stencil and Distress Ink Bundled Sage to add the pattern to the white base. I've left the bottom white to add a saying.

In the middle of my card I've glued a present. This was simply cut from white cardstock using the solid rectangle from the Rectangle Shaker Window and Frame die set. Then I've stamped the stars from the Monster Sized stamp set onto it and colored everything in. On top of the present I've added a bow which - again - was cut off of one of the gifts from the Secret Santa set. The ribbon is just a thin strip of cardstock that I've glued onto the present.

Underneath the gift I've added one of the Oval Shadows because it seemed to float in the air.

Unten auf der Karte habe ich zwei Texte aus dem Set Monster Sized mit roter Tinte aufgestempelt und dazwischen ein "christmas" aus dem Merry Christmas Stanzenset, gestanzt aus goldenem Glittercardstock, aufgeklebt.

On the white area on the bottom I've combined two sayings from the Monster Sized stamp set using red ink and glued a die cut "christmas" from the Merry Christmas die set, cut from golden glitter cardstock, in between.

So, und um nun zum Thema Monster zu kommen - irgendwie macht der Text ja sonst keinen Sinn:

Well, the saying doesn't really make sense without a monster, right? So, here it is:

Ich habe den oberen Teil des Geschenkes abgeschnitten und dahinter ein Weihnachtsmonster versteckt. Es glitzert sogar! Es erscheint, wenn man am roten Cardstockstreifen unten an der Karte zieht. Ich habe hier wieder die Double Slider Loop Stanze benutzt, um den Mechanismus zu fertigen.

Zum Schluss kamen noch ein paar kleine goldene Pailetten auf die Karte.

I've cut off a strip of the top of the gift and added a christmas monster behind. It even glitters! It appears when you pull the red strip of cardstock at the bottom of the card. Again I've used the Double Slider Loop die to create this mechanism. 

In the end I've only added a few small golden sequins.
