Heute startet die Sketch Challenge #539 auf dem MFT Blog - die letzte des Monats und somit auch die letzte, für die ich als Gastdesigner ein Beispiel als Inspiration werkeln durfte. Ich möchte ganz herzlichen Dank für diese Gelegenheit sagen!
Der Sketch diesmal ist im Slimeline Format angelegt - und den Platz konnte ich für meine Idee gut gebrauchen. So sieht der Sketch aus:

Today sketch challenge #539 over at the MFT Blog starts - it's the last one of the month and also the last one that I'm doing a card as inspiration as a guestdesigner. I want to say a huge thank you for this chance and for inviting me!
This week's sketch is drawn in a slimeline size - and I could use all that space for what I had in mind. This is the new sketch:
Wie Ihr sehen könnt, habe ich den Sketch horizontal gespiegelt - einfach weil ich nicht wollte, dass mein Motiv gleich von der Karte runter radelt.
Ich habe hier über die komplette Breite der Karte eine Szene angelegt, sie aber nur im Bereich des Rechtecks coloriert. Für die Wolken habe ich die Rolling Clouds Stencil verwendet und sie auf den weißen Cardstock in Slimline-Größe mit Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke aufgewischt. Die Nahtstelle ist hinter dem Aufleger mit coloriertem Motiv versteckt.
Auch im unteren Bereich der Karte habe ich einen Streifen mit dieser Farbe aufgewischt. Dann habe ich nur in diese hellgrau eingefärbte Bereiche den Best Friends Background aufgestempelt und dafür ebenfalls das Hickory Smoke Stempelkissen benutzt. So ist der Text nicht zu dunkel. Bei den Wolken habe ich dafür die Stencil einfach wieder aufgelegt - daher ist der Abdruck direkt an der Kante auch nicht perfekt geworden, denn die Höhe der Stencil hat das verhindert.
Quer unter den Wolken habe ich dann Hügel mit Bäumen und Büschen aufgestempelt. Dafür habe ich einen der Stempel aus dem Scene Builder Stempelset verwendet.
As you can see did I mirror the sketch horizontally - just because I didn't want my image to wheel off the card.
Here I created a scene all across my card but only colored the area within the rectangle drawn in the sketch. For the clouds I used the Rolling Clouds stencil and created a cloud line all across the slimline card using Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke. The area where I had to lay down the not-slimline sized stencil again is hidden behind the rectangle with the colored image.
I also colored a strip at the bottom edge of the card with the same grey color. Then I stamped the Best Friends Background only onto these grey areas, using the Hickory Smoke ink pad again so the text couldn't get too dark. When stamping onto the area above the clouds I put the stencil back in place. That's also why the stamping isn't perfect along the cloud line - the stencil was just too high.
Under - or into - the clouds I stamped some hills with trees and bushes using the Scene Builder stamp set.
Dieses zuckersüße Motiv ist aus dem Wheelie Great Friends Stempelset. Ich habe dafür drei Stempel einzeln abgestempelt - die Schnur ist ein eigener Stempel -, sie dann mit den passenden Stanzen ausgestanzt und zusammengeklebt. Besonders genial an den passenden Stanzen hier finde ich, dass auch innere Bereiche, wie zum Beispiel im Innerendes Rades und des Reifens, mit ausgestanzt werden. So hat man keine großen weißen Flächen mitten im Motiv!
Coloriert habe ich das Motiv mit Copics. Allerdings habe ich mir vorher rechts und links eine kleine Markierung in der Breite meines Auflegers gemacht und nur innerhalb dieser Linien coloriert. So passen die Teile außerhalb des Rechteckes zum schwarz-weißen Hintergrund. Das Rechteck habe ich außerdem schwarz gemattet.
Für die Szene im Hintergrund habe ich wieder das Scene Builder Stempelset und die Rolling Clouds Stencil benutzt, diesmal die Hügel und den Baum allerings coloriert und für den Bereich über den Wolken Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass verwendet.
Im unteren Bereich habe ich einfach einen Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks als Straße aufgeklebt, auf die ich mit einem weißen Gelpen den Mittelstreifen aufgemalt habe. Diesen Streifen habe ich auch über den schwarz-weißen Bereich der Karte geklebt, so dass die Straße über die komplette Karte geht.
Für die Sprechblasen mit den Herzen habe ich wieder die Love Speech Bubbles Stanze benutzt. Die Sprechblasen sind aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, für das Herz habe ich den türkisfarbenen Bogen mit den weißen Punkten aus dem Poppin' Polka Dots Paper Pad benutzt.
Die Sprechblasen und auch das Motiv mit den radelnden Freunden sind mit 3D Tape auf die Karte geklebt.
This adorable image is from the Wheelie Great Friends stamp set. I stamped three of the images from this set - the string is an idividual stamp -, then cut them out with the matching dies and glued them together. What I absolutly love about the matching dies here is the fact, that they cut areas within the image, like the wheel and the bike frame. Now you don't have any big white areas in the center of your image!
I colored the image with Copics. But before I did that, I made two pencil marks to mark the width of my rectangle and only colored the areas between those two lines. Now the parts of the image that aren't glued to the rectangle go with the black and white background there. I also matted the rectangle with black cardstock.
For the scene in the background I used the Scene Builder stamp set and the Rolling Clouds stencil again, but this time I colored the hills and tree and used Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass above the clouds.
In the lower area of the rectangle I added a simple strip cut from black cardstock and drew the middle lines with a white gel pen. Then I glued another strip also sonto the black and white area of the card to create a street that goes all across the card.
For the speech bubbles I used the Love Speech Bubbles dies again. I've die cut the bubbles from black cardstock and used a turquoise sheet with white dots from the Poppin' Polka Dots paper pad.
The speech bubbles and the image of the wheeling friends are glued onto the card with dimensionals.
Nun brauchte meine Karte noch einen Text.
Auf einen Streifen des türkisfarbenen Designpapier mit den weißen Punkten, das ich auch für die Herzen im Inneren der Sprechblasen verwendet habe, habe ich einen der Texte aus dem Wheelie Great Friends Stempelset mit schwarzer Tinte aufgestempelt. Diesen Streifen habe ich dann direkt oberhalb der Straße aufgeklebt.
Und darüber kam ein ausgestanztes Hello. Das Wort an sich habe ich mit der Little Hello Stanze aus schwarzem Cardstock gestantzt, den Schatten mit einer Stanze, die mit dem Wort im Set kommt, wieder aus dem türkisfarbenen gepunkteten Designpapier. Beides habe ich aufeinander und dann über dem Streifen mit dem Text auf die Karte geklebt.
Und als Deko kamen wieder die Herzen, die beim Ausstanzen der Sprechblasen aus dem schwarzen Cardstock übrigblieben, neben das Hello.
Now my card only needed a text.
Onto a strip of the turquoise colored patterned paper with the white dots, that I also used for the hearts inside the speech bubbles, I stamped one of the sayings from the Wheelie Great Friends stamp set using black ink. Then I glued this strip directly above the street.
And above that I added a die cut hello. I die cut the word itself from black cardstock with the Little Hello die, the shadow with another die, that comes in one set with the word, again from the turquoise dotted paper. I stacked both on top of each other and then glued it above the strip with the stamped on text onto my card.
And for decorations I used the two hearts that were left overs from die cutting the speech bubbles from black cardstock. I glued the hearts right next to the die cut hello.
