Eis für Felix

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Eis und Sommer gehören einfach zusammen. Das hat sich wohl auch Felix auf meiner Karte, die ich heute auf dem Kulricke-Blog zeige, gedacht. Und es eventuell ein klein wenig übertrieben.... ;)

Ice cream and summer belong to each other. Seem like Felix on the card I am sharing over at Kulricke Blog today agrees with me. And maybe he went a bit overboard... ;)

Ich habe hellgelben Cardstock auf eine weiße Grundkarte geklebt. Darauf kam ein schwarz gemattetes Rechteck aus weißem Cardstock, auf das ich mit gelber Tinte so oft es ging Sommer aus dem Stempelset Delfin aufgestempelt habe. 

I've put some yellow cardstock onto a white card base. Then I've added a black matted piece of white cardstock onto which I've stamped the word summer as often as possible, using yellow ink.

Hier ist der unersättliche Felix. Es ist der Felix Hände Hoch, dem ich hier das große Eis in die Hände gedrückt habe. Sechs verschiedene Sorten - er konnte sich einfach nicht entscheiden. Und eine Kirsche gab es auch noch obendrauf. 

Für das Eis habe ich das Eis Stanzenset verwendet. Die Waffel habe ich geprägt und dann vorsichtig mit Distress Ink Gathered Twigs eingefärbt, um das Muster hervorzuheben.

Here's Felix that can't get enough of ice cream. He picked 6 different flavors, seems like he just couldn't decide which ones to get and so he got them all. There's even a cherry on top.

I've used the ice cream die set. I've dry embossed the cone using one of the dies and then lightly added Distress Ink Gathered Twigs to make the pattern pop a bit.

Unten quer über die Karte habe ich ein schwarzes Banner geklebt, dessen rechtes Ende ich unter die Eiswaffel geschoben habe. Auf das Banner habe ich einen der Texte aus dem Stempelset Dich #2 weiß aufembosst.

Zum Schluss kamen noch ein paar schwarze Enamel Accents auf die Karte.

At the bottom I've glued a black banner across the card, tucking the right end under the ice cone. Onto the banner I've stamped a "enjoy life" text.

At the end I've added a few black Enamel Accents to the card.

Camp Create 2019 Teil 1 bis 3

Auf dem MFT-Blog findet derzeit wieder Camp Create statt. Das ist ein virtuelles Sommercamp, bei dem es fünf Tage lang jeden Tag eine neue Stempelaufgabe gibt. Für jede erledigte Aufgabe, gibt es ein Badge. Ich liebe solche Events und habe auch letztes Jahr bereits mitgemacht, einfach weil es wahnsinnig viel Spaß macht und einen manchmal auch ein wenig aus seiner Komfortzone rausholt. Das Camp startete am Montag und ich habe mich auch sofort an die Arbeit gemacht, bin aber nicht zum Posten gekommen. Darum gibt es in diesem Post gleich meine Umsetzung der ersten drei Tage.

Camp Create 2019 just started over at MFT Blog. It's a virtual summer camp bringing a new challenge each day for five days. For each completed challenge you earn a badge. I love those events and also attended last year, just beause it's so much fun and sometimes makes you leave your comfort zone and try new things or techniques. The camp started monday and I immediately sat down but didn't have time to post my projects. So in today's post you'll find my cards for the days 1, 2 and 3. 

An Tag 1 ging es um Watercolors. Es ist vollkommen egal, ob das Motiv damit coloriert ist oder, wie in meinem Fall, der Hintergrund gestaltet wird. Ich habe dafür aus Aquarellpapier den Hearts Entwined Hintergrund gestanzt und die einzelnen Herzenteile grün, blau und türkis coloriert. Die "Schnittstellen" der Herzen sind türkis, die Herzen entweder grün oder blau. Auch der Hintergrund rund um den ausgestanzten Bereich ist auch zart hellblau eingefärbt. 

Dann habe ich die Stanze aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, in den Ausschnitt geklebt und die Lücke mit den eingefärbten Teilen gefüllt. Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar türkisfarbene Sprenkel darüber verteilt.

Die Texte aus den Stempelsets Well, Hello und Bitty Birthday Wishes sind weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, passend zugeschnitten und mit 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

Day 1 is all about watercolors. It's up to you if you color an image with them or use them to create a background, like I did. I've die cut the Hearts Entwined from a piece of watercolor cardstock, and then used my watercolors to color the different inner pieces green, blue and turquoise. The areas where two hearts are on top of each other are colored turquoise, the individual hearts green or blue. Also the background around the die cut is colored a light blue.

Then I've die cut the heart background from black cardstock, glued it into the cut out in the watercolor cardstock and filled the inner areas with the colored pieces. In the end I've sprinkled some turquoise color all over my paper.

The sayings from the Well, Hello and Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp sets are white heat embossed onto black cardstock, cut to small banners, and glued to my card using dimensionals.

Der süße Pinguin aus dem Stempelset Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes ist mit Polychromos coloriert. Das Colorieren mit Aquarellfarben bin ich noch am Üben... Ich habe hier die No Lines Technik angewandt und die Highlights mit einem weißen Gelmarker hinzugefügt.

Da ich für den Pinguin die selben Farbe wie für den Hintergrund gewählt habe, habe ich zwischen das Motiv und den Hintergrund einen Kreis aus Vellum geklebt, der für etwas mehr Kontrast sorgt. Der Kreis ist mit 3D Pads aufgeklebt, der Pinguin auf den Kreis ebenfalls. 

Ganz zum Schluss kamen noch ein paar weiße Enamel Accents auf die Karte.

The cute penguin from the Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes stamp set is colored in with Polychromos. I am still practicing my watercolor coloring... Here I've done some No Line stamping again and added a few highlights with a white gelly marker.

Since I've used the same colors for the penguins that I've also used for the background I've put a circle cut from Vellum between the image and the background to tone down the colors a bit. The circle is glued to the card with dimensionals, then I've used those to also attache the penguin to the circle.

In the end I've added a few white Enamel Accents to my card.

Let's move on to day 2:

An Tag zwei lautete die Aufgabe "Embossing Resist". Dabei wird erst ein Motiv in weiß oder klar auf Cardstock embosst, der anschließend eingefärbt wird. Der Cardstock nimmt an den embossten Bereichen keine Farbe an und so ist das zuvor embosste Motiv sichtbar.

Ich habe hier den Hintergrund mit dieser Technik gestaltet. Der Happy Birthday Background ist klar auf weißen Cardstock embosst, dann habe ich Distress Ink Pumice Stone und Hickory Smoke verwendet, um den Cardstock einzufärben. Der Unterschied zwischen den Farben ist nicht so stark, da ich wollte, dass der Text im Hintergrund gut sichtbar ist. Ganz leicht ist aber doch zu erkennen, dass er unten dunkler ist als oben.

The challenge on day 2 is "Embossing Resist". Here you first heat emboss an image onto cardstock using white or clear embossing powder, then use ink to color the cardstock in which brings out the previously embossed images.

Here I've used this technique to create the background. I've clear heat embossed the Happy Birthday Background onto white cardstock, then used Distress Ink Pumice Stone and Hickory Smoke to ink up the cardstock. The difference between those two colors isn't too obvious, also because I wanted to really bring out the embossed text, but you can still see that the bottom is slightly darker than the top.

Natürlich brauchte die Karte mehr als nur den Hintergrund. Ich habe eines der Label aus dem Blueprints 33 Stanzenset aus türkisfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und mittig auf den Hintergrund geklebt. 

Als Text habe ich mich für ein HB2U entschieden - gestanzt mit den Impact Alphabet und Impact Numbers Stanzen aus lachsfarbenem Cardstock, den ich dann von unten her mit Distress Oxide Abandoned Coral eingefärbt habe, so dass nur noch im oberen Bereich die Originalfarbe des Cardstocks zu sehen ist. Die Highlights sind mit einem weißen Gelmarker gemacht. Die Buchstaben habe ich mit 3D Pads auf das Label aufgeklebt und unten einen Streifen hellgrauen Cardstock, auf den ich einen der Texte aus dem Bitty Birthday Wishes Stempelset embosst habe, aufgeklebt.

Die süße Maus, die aus dem Geschenk springt, ist aus dem It's a Mice Time to Celebrate Stempelset - und auch die ist mit Polychromos und No Lines Technik coloriert. Ja, ich gestehe, ich hatte am Montag nicht mehr aufgeräumt und die Stifte lagen da noch... ;)

Nach dem Ausschneiden habe ich die Maus mit aufgedoppelten 3D Pads auf die Karte geklebt und noch ein paar türkisblaue Enamel Accents als Deko hinzugefügt.

Of course this card needed more than a background. I've die cut one of the labels from the Blueprints 33 die set from turquoise cardstock and glued it in the middle of my background.

As a saying I've picked a HB2U - die cut from salmon colored cardstock using the Impact Alphabet and Impact Numbers die sets. Then I've used Distress Oxide Abandoned Coral to ink the letters from the bottom so the original color of the cardstock can only be seen at the top. The highlights are made using a white gelly marker. Then I've glued the letters onto the label using dimensionals. Underneath I've added a strip of grey cardstock onto which I've white heat embossed a text from the Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set.

The cute mous is from the It's a Mice Time to Celebrate stamp set and again colored doing the No Lines Technique with my Polychromos. Yes, I admit it, I didn't clean my table after finishing monday's card and so they were still laying there... ;)

After cutting it out I've glued the mouse onto the card using doubled up dimensionals and added a few turquoise blue Enamel Accents.

Und damit kommen wir zu Tag 3. Hier geht es darum, eine Shaker Card zu werkeln. "Traditionell" mit Folie oder unter der Verwendung von Shaker Pouches ist egal. Nachdem mir die Idee für die heutige Karte gekommen war, habe ich mich für Shaker Pouches entschieden.

Im Hintergrund habe ich zwei verschiedene Designpapiere untereinander geklebt und daraus die Snow Globe Stanze ausgestanzt. In die kam dann die passende Shaker Pouch.

Unten auf die Karte habe ich einen der Texte aus dem Stempelset Beach Buds, weiß auf ein Banner aus schwarzem Cardstock embosst, aufgeklebt. Den fand ich klasse, sieht doch der Affe so aus als würde er entweder gerade nach einer Meeresüberquerung aus dem Wasser kommen oder sich gerade auf den Weg machen.

And this is my card for day 3, where it's all about Shaker Cards. Done "traditionally" using acetate or made using Shaker Pouches - you choose. When I had the idea for this card I've decided to go with Shaker Pouches.

In the background I've glued two different types of designer's paper  and then die cut the Snow Globe die from it. In the cut out I've put the matching Shaker Pouch.

To the bottom of the card I've glued a black banner onto which I've white heat embossed one of the sayings from the Beach Buds stamp set. I thought this saying was funny with the image of the monkey that looks like he's either just starting or just left the water after crossing an ocean.

Hier habe ich mal Copics verwendet, um die Motive zu colorieren. Sie sind alle aus dem Sunshine and Friendship Stempelset.

Hinter der Shaker Pouch habe ich den Ocean gestaletet. Ich habe die Wellen- sowie die Wolkenschablone sowie Distress Oxide Salty Ocean und Tumbled Glass verwendet. Auf die Wellen habe ich mit weißem Gelmarker ein paar Glitzerpunkte gesetzt. 

Die Shaker Pouch ist mit kleinen Glaskügelchen und kleinen Folie-Sechsecken gefüllt, auf die Karte kamen noch ein paar türkisblaue Enamel Accents.

Here I've used Copics to color the images. They are all from the Sunshine and Friendship stamp set.

Behind the shaker pouch I've created an ocean scene using the waves and the clouds stencil and Distress Oxide Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass. I've added some foam to the waves using a white gelly marker. 

The shaker is filled with tiny clear glass beads and little blue hexagons from acetate. I've also added some turquoise Enamel Accents to the card - again.

Und mit dieser Karte habe ich mir das dritte Badge verdient - morgen geht es dann weiter.

And with this card I've earned the third badge - can't wait for tomorrow!

Für diese Karte, die ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige, habe ich das neue Sassy Pants Birthday Greetings 2 Stempelset von MFT verwendet - und für den Posttitel einen Textteil eines der Stempel verwendet. Den finde ich zu klasse.

No, I'm not writing this post under the influence of alcohol. For this card, that I am sharing over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today, I've used the new Sassy Pants Birthday Greetings 2 stamp set by MFT - and picked part of one of the text stamps in the set as the titel of this post. I just love this saying!

Für meine Karte habe ich die Farben der aktuellen Color Challenge 121 von MFT verwendet - die sind so schön sommerlich. Für den Hintergrund habe ich wieder die Mini Dye Ink Pads benutzt - Pineapple, Orange Zest und Poppy. Die hätten auch einen tollen tropischen Sonnenuntergang abgegeben. Aber ich habe wieder leicht überlappend mit der Direct To Paper Technik die Farben einfach direkt auf meinen weißen Cardstock gewischt. Den habe ich dann schwarz gemattet und auf eine weiße DinLang Karte geklebt.

For this card I've used the colors from the Color Challenge 121 over at MFT - they are so wonderfully summer-ish. For the background I've used the Mini Dye Ink Pads again - Pineapple, Orange Zest and Poppy. Those would have made a great tropical sunset as well. But I've just swiped them directly onto some white cardstock, overlapping slightly. I've matted the cardstock black and glued it onto a white card.

Die neuen Impact Alphabet Stanzen sind genial! Jeder Buchstabe ist etwa 4,5 cm hoch, dabei aber doch recht schmal gehalten. Für mein BRTHDAY brauchte ich trotzdem eine lange Karte. Ich habe die Buchstaben aus türkisblauem Cardstock gestanzt, der der vierten Farbe der Color Challenge - Blue Raspberry - entsprach, ausgestanzt. Um für etwas mehr Kontrast und auch Dimension zu sorgen, habe ich sie noch dreimal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Die schwarzen Buchstaben sind aufeinander geklebt, die blauen ein wenig versetzt obendrauf, so dass ein Schatten unter den Buchstaben entsteht. Die habe ich dann auf meinen Hintergrund geklebt.

Darüber kam dann der Text aus dem bereits erwähnten Sassy Pants Birthday Greetings 2 Stempelset. Ich habe die beiden Zeilen nebeneinander gestempelt und das Birthday hier wegmaskiert, da ich es ja mit den Stanzbuchstaben geschrieben habe.

Those new Impact Alphabet dies are genius! Each letter is about 4,5 cm in height but still quite narrow. For my BRTHDAY I still needed a longer card. I've cut the letters from turquoise cardstock that matched the fourth color in the Color Challenge - Blue Raspberry. To add some contrast and dimension I've also cut them three more times from black cardstock and stacked those onto each other. On top I've glued the turquoise ones, putting them slightly off to create a shadow underneath the letters. Then I've glued them onto my background.

On top of the word I've stamped the saying from the already mentioned Sassy Pants Birthday Greetings 2 stamp set. I've stamped both lines next to each other, masking off the word birthday since I've written this with the die cut letters.

Das I in BIRTHDAY habe ich durch das ebenfalls neue Cocktailglas "Birthday Cocktail" ersetzt. Die Größe ist klasse, das Stanzteil zu colorieren war trotzdem eine Herausforderung. Ich habe hier Polychromos verwendet und neben Blubberblasen auch zwei Eiswürfel ins Glas gemalt. Ich denke, ich erwähne das hier, denn als ich meinem Mann ein Bild des colorierten Glases gezeigt habe, meinte er, die Flüssigkeit darin sähe klumpig aus. Er hatte die Eiswürfel einfach nicht als solche erkannt... Dekoriert habe ich das Glas noch mit einer Schleife aus türkisfarbenem Glitzercardstock, die ebenfalls im Stanzenset enthalten ist.

Zum Schluss kamen noch ein paar klare Glitzer Nuvo Drops auf die Karte.

I've replaced the I in BIRTHDAY with the also new cocktail glass "Birthday Cocktail". The size is great, but it was still a challenge to color the die cut glass. I've used Polychromos here and besides some bubbles I've also drawn two ice cubes into the glass. I'm writing this because when I've shown my husband a picture of the colored glass the mentioned that the liquid looks lumpy. He just didn't recognize those ice cubes as what they are/they are meant to be.

I've decorated the glass with a bow, die cut from turquoise glitter cardstock. The bow is included in the Birthday Cocktail die set.

In the end I've added some clear glittering Nuvo Drops to my card.

Unter dem Meer...

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Vielleicht habt Ihr es am Posttitel schon erahnt - heute habe ich noch eine Karte mit dem Meerjungfrauen (und -mann) Set von SF Stamps zu zeigen. Da gab es doch glatt eine Nixe, die ich noch nicht verwendet hattet - und die rief ganz laut, dass sie doch auch auf eine Karte möchte. Und wer kann dem Ruf einer Nixe widerstehen?

Today I have another card using the mermaid (and -man) stamp set by SF Stamps. There was one mermaid I hadn't used yet - and she was screaming that she wanted to be used on a card as well. Who can resist the call of a mermaid?

Zuerst aber zum Äußeren der Karte:

Hier habe ich ein Oval, das mir von der Innengestaltung übrig geblieben war, auf etwas Cheesecloth geklebt und dann auf meine schwarze Grundkarte geklebt. Darauf kam das Wort Meer, gestanzt mit dem tollen Alphabet von SF Stamps. Ich habe hier weißen Glittercardstock verwendet, was man auf dem Bild leider nicht so toll sehen kann.

Als Deko kamen ein Seestern und Muscheln aus dem Muscheln-Stempelset sowie ein paar klar-glitzernde Enamel Accents zum Einsatz.

But let's talk about the outside of the card first:

Here I've glued an oval, that was left from decorating the inside, onto some cheesecloth and then on my black card base. Onto the oval I've glued the word SEA, cut from individual letters and white glimmer paper. You can't really see the glitter on the picture. 

For decorations I've added a starfish, a few shells and some clear and glittering Enamel Accents.

Ich habe hier nochmal eine Center Picture Card gemacht, die bot sich geradezu an...

Für den Hintergrund habe ich weißen Cardstock mit Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire, Broken China und Tumbled Glass eingefärbt und mit ein wenig Wasser besprüht. Die Sonnestrahlen habe ich mit einer Schablone und Versacraft Weiß aufgewischt. In der "Unterwasserhöhle" wollte ich es ein wenig dunkler gestalten und habe hier Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire und Broken China verwendet und auf die weißen Lichtstrahlen verzichtet. 

Die Wasserpflanzen habe ich mit einem olivgrünen ZIG Real Color Brush Pen direkt auf den fertigen Hintergrund gemalt. 

I've made a Center Picture Card again - it just perfect right here.

For the background I've used Distresss Oxide Chipped Sapphire, Broken China and Tumbled Glass to color in some white cardstock and then lightly sprayed it with water. For the sunrays I've used a stencil and some white Versacraft ink. Inside the "under water cave" I wanted to have the background a tad bit darker so I've used Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire and Broken China here and didn't add any sunrays. 

For the water plants I've used an dark olive green ZIG Real Color Brush Pen and have handdrawn the plants directly onto the finished background.

Hier könnt Ihr die "Höhle" besser sehen. In ihr schwimmt die arme, bisher vernachlässigte, Nixe mit ihrem Freund dem Fisch. Ihr Vater Neptun und ein Seestern schauen neugierig zu.

Die Motive sind wieder mit Copics coloriert und teilweise mit verschiedenen klaren Stickles beglittert. Sorry, aber es gibt inzwischen so viele und ich kann nie erkennen, welche ich wo verwendet habe, da sie alle den Hintergrund ein wenig aufnehmen.

Here you can see the "cave" better. In it the little - so far neglected - mermaid and her friend the fish are swimming around. Her dad Neptun and a starfish are curiously watching them.

The images are once again colored with Copics and partly covered with different types of clear Stickles. Sorry, but I can never tell which one I used on what image since they all kind of pick up a bit of the background color.

Natürlich sind auch die Seitenteile passend dekoriert. Auf der linken Seite hat neben zwei Fischen auch noch eine Qualle Platz gefunden. 

Of course also the sides are decorated accordingly. On the left side there are two fish and a yelly fish.

Rechts sind drei weitere Fische unterwegs.

Und als Blasen habe ich noch ein paar weitere der glitzerdenden Enamel Accents aufgeklebt.

On the right side there are 3 more fish.

As bubbles I've added a few more of the glittering Enamel Accents.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 13. Juli 2019

Beim Stempeleinmaleins zeigen wir Euch heute eine Karte, bei der sich alles im Innenteil abspielt: eine Center Picture Card. Es gibt eine Stanze von LawnFawn (die diese Kartenart aber auch nicht erfunden haben), mit der man diese Kartenart ohne Nachdenken oder Rechnen machen kann, aber die Karte, die diese Stanze macht, ist winzig. Also nehmen wir Euch das Denken und Rechnen ab. ;)

Over at Stempeleinmaleins we are sharing a card today, where everything happens on the inside: a Center Picture Card. There's a die by LawnFawn out there (but they weren't the ones coming up with the original idea of this card either) that let's you cut all the pieces without any measuring and thinking about them but the card their die makes is really small. So we take the thinking and measuring off of you. ;)

Nachdem, wie schon erwähnt, die Innenseite die "main attraction" ist, ist die Außenseite eher einfach gehalten. Etwas Deko braucht sie aber doch.

Ich habe hier die Grundkarte aus dunkelblauem Cardstock gearbeitet und mit weißer Strukturpaste und einer Schablone ein paar Sterne aufgetragen.  

Ich hatte immer noch Regenbogenstreifen übrig, die farblich perfekt passten. Also habe ich auch auf diese Karte einen Blau-Lila-Regenbogen aufgeklebt.

Auf den Regenbogen habe ich mit 3D Tape eine weiße Wolke aufgeklebt, auf der ich ein ausgestanztes Congrats aufgeklebt habe. Das Congrats habe ich aus einem Reststück Cardstock gestanzt, das ich von der Dekoration der Innenseite übrig hatte. Darunter kam noch ein schwarzes Banner mit einem weiß aufembossten Text von MFT.

Since, as mentioned, the inside is the "main attraction" the outside is kept a little more simple. But of course it needed some kind of decorations.

Here I've cute the card base from dark blue cardstock and added some stars using white modelling paste and a stencil.

I still had some strips of that rainbow left that were perfect in color. So I've added another purple and blue rainbow to this card. 

Onto the rainbow I've glued a cloud, cut from white cardstock, using dimensionals. On top of the cloud I've glued a die cut congrats. It was cut from a piece of cardstock that I had left over from creating the inside. Under it I've put a banner with a white heat embossed text by MFT.

Und so sieht die geöffnete Karte aus - mit einer tollen 3D Szene in der Mitte. Trotzdem lässt sich die Karte flach zusammenklappen.

Ich habe eine Geburtstagskarte zum ersten Geburtstag meiner Nichte gemacht. Da sie eh noch nicht Lesen oder den Text verstehen kann, denke ich, dass englisch hier kein Problem sein sollte.  

Alle Innenseiten  habe ich mit weißem Cardstock beklebt, den ich erst mit Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet und Blueprint Sketch eingefärbt, mit Wasser bespritzt und anschließend mit Strukturpaste mit Sternen dekoriert habe. Entlang der unteren Kante habe ich dann eine Wolkenbordüre aufgeklebt. Die überdeckt das Pink ein wenig, denn das hat mir irgendwie nicht recht gefallen.

And this is the opened card - with a great 3D scene in the middle. Still the card can be folded flat for mailing in an envelope. 

I've made a card for my niece's 1st birthday. Since she isn't able to read or understand a text read to her I don't think the english text stamps I've used aren't a big problem.

All of the inner parts of the card are covered with white cardstock that I've inked up using Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet an Blueprint Sketch, sprinkled some water over it and then used the star stencil and white modelling paste again to add the stars. Then I've glued a cloud border to the bottom of all the pieces. Those cover the pink a bit that I didn't like that much on this card.

Im mittleren Teil habe ich weitere Wolkenbordüren aufgekleb. Auf eine habe ich eine 1, gestanzt aus blauem Cardstock und mit Wink of Stella überzogen, aufgeklebt. Auf der Lage dahinter befindet sich ein kleiner Mond.

Der süße Elefant mit dem Luftballon und der fliegende Hase sind von Mama Elephant, coloriert jeweils mit Copics. Der große Luftballon war so schwer, dass er immer nach hinten geklappt ist. Darum habe ich ihn mit aufgedoppeltem 3D Tape an der Innenseite der Karte angebracht. Dadurch musste ich aber die Schnur abtrennen, denn der Ballon bewegt sich beim Zuklappen der Karte. Nun kann er das, und ich finde nicht, dass es stört, auch wenn man am Winkel der Schnur erkennen kann, dass der Ballon eigentlich anders ist.

In the middle part I've added more cloud borders. Onto one I've added a die cut 1, cut from blue cardstock and covered with Wink of Stella. To the back layer I've added a moon.

The cute elephant with the balloon and the flying bunny are by Mama Elephant, colored in with Copics. The balloon was so heavy that it was flapping backwards. So I've doubled up some dimensionals and attached it to the inside of the middle piece. But due to that I had to cut off the balloon from the elephant at the string because the balloon moves when the card is closed. Now it can and I don't think it is a big problem, even if you can tell from the angle of the string that it is a bit different originally.

Auf der linken Innenseite habe ich einen weiteren Elefant mit Ballons aufgeklebt.

To the left inner side I've attached another elephant with balloons.

Auf der rechten Seite sitzt ein weiterer Hase auf den Wolken. Dem habe ich ein Schild in die Hand gegeben, auf das ich ein "let's celebrate" gestempelt habe.

On the right side another bunny is sitting on the clouds. I  made him hold a sign onto which I've stamped a "let's celebrate".

Eine Card-In-A-Box zum Thema Reise

Heute möchte ich Euch nochmal eine Karte mit dem neuen Stempelset rund ums Thema Reisen von SF Stamps zeigen. Und diesmal habe ich eine Card-in-a-Box gewerkelt. Die kann man so toll dreidimensional gestalten.

Today I want to share another card using the new travel themed stamp set by SF Stamps. And this time I've made a card-in-a-box. I love that those create such amazing 3D scenes.

Die seitlichen Klappen/Laschen habe ich mit Designpapier mit Landkartendruck, passend zum Thema der Karte, beklebt. Darauf kam ein Banner mit dem Text "Gute Reise", der ebenfalls im Set enthalten ist. Wenn ich mir die Karte jetzt so auf dem Foto anschaue, hätte ich das Banner evtl. matten sollen.... Aber auch so gefällt es mir.

I've coverd the flaps with designer's paper with a map prit, matching the theme of my card. Then I've added a banner with a "have a save trip" to the front one. While I'm looking at the picture now I think maybe I should have matted the banner.... But I like it this way as well.

Im oberen Teil der Karte/Box habe ich 5 Ebenen eingebaut: eine mit Landkarte und Globus, eine mit Koffern und Wegweiser, eine mit dem Flugzeug, das auf einen Streifen Klarsichtfolie geklebt ist, dahinter eine Ebene mit den Bergen und ganz hinten der Himmel mit der Sonne.

Alle Motive sind mit Copics coloriert.

In the upper part of the card/box I've created 5 layers: one with the map and globe, one with the suitcases and sign, one with the plane that is attached to a strip of acetate, behind it a layer with the mountains and in the back one with the sky and sun.

All images are colored with Copics.

Ich wollte unbedingt eine Karte mit dem schlafenden Fuchs machen und habe mich beim Basteln einfach treiben lassen. Entstanden ist dann diese Karte, die ich heute auf dem Kulricke-Blog zeige.

I wanted to make a card using the cute sleeping fox and then just let the card take me where it wanted during the process of making. I've ended up with this card then that I'm sharing over at the Kulricke-Blog today.

Ich habe den Fuchs auf den kraft-braunen Cardstock von Faltkarten gestempelt und mit Polychromos coloriert. Unten habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver einen der Texte aus dem Stempelset Freunde aufembosst. So kann man ihn auf dem farbigen Cardstock prima lesen.

I've stamped the fox onto dark kraft colored cardstock and then colored it in with Polychromos. At the bottom of the card I've white heat embossed a saying meaning "friends are like stars - you can't always see them but they are always there".

Hier könnt Ihr den Fuchs genauer sehen. Da durch die Polychromos die Stempellinien etwas überdeckt wurden, habe ich sie nach dem Colorieren mit einem schwarzen Fineliner nochmal nachgemalt.

Unter den Fuchs habe ich etwas Gras gezeichnet.

Für den Nachthimmel habe ich ein Stück nachtblauen Cardstock von Faltkarten zugeschnitten und weiß gemattet. Darauf habe ich mit der Sternen Stencil und weißer Strukturpaste die Sterne aufgetragen. Nach dem Trocknen der Paste habe ich um den Fuchs herumgeschnitten und den Sternenhimmel dahintergeschoben.

Von rechts kommt eine Sternschnuppe aus dem Stempelset Sternglanz. Sie ist coloriert, ausgeschnitten und mit klarem Wink of Stella beglittert. Dann habe ich sie mit 3D Tape auf die Karte geklebt. 

Zum Schluss kam alles noch auf eine weiße Grundkarte.

Here you get a better look at the fox. Since the Polychromos covered some of the stamped lines I've used a black fineliner to re-draw them after the coloring was done.

I've drawn some grass for the fox to lye in.

For the night sky I've taken some dark blue cardstock, cut it the size I needed it and then added the stars using a stars stencil and white modelling paste. After the paste was dry I've cut around the fox and tucked it under the fox.

From the right a shooting star is coming in. I've colored it it, cut it out and covered it with clear Wink of Stella. Then I've attached it to the sky using dimensionals.

In the end I've glued everything onto a white card base.

In letzter Minute...

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Eigentlich bin ich basteltechnisch ja immer recht up to date. Eigentlich. Ich kann es mir nur mit unserem Urlaub in Italien und den danach anstehenden Feierlichkeiten zum Abitur meiner Zwillinge erklären, dass ich vom Top Card Contest von Mama Elephant erst heute morgen erfahren habe. Deadline: heute. Er ist bereits am 13.5. gestartet... 

Wie gut, dass mittwochs mein freier Tag ist. Also habe ich erst brav den Hausputz erledigt - das gute daran ist, dass dabei zwar die Hände beschäftigt sind, nicht aber das Gehirn. Und so kam mir während des Putzens die Idee zu dieser Karte.

Ich habe von Mama Elephant viele der Little Agenda Sets, dazu drei "normale" sowie die Wiper Card Die, die Waterfall Card Die und die Turner Surprise Die.  Die Auswahl war also nicht allzu groß. Aber immerhin "musste" ich dann nicht schon wieder eine Bestellung aufgeben sondern das nutzen, was ich zur Hand habe. Entstanden ist dann diese Karte.

Usually I am quite up to date craftwise. Usually. So I can only explain it to myself with our vacation in Italy and the celebrations and festivities related to my twins graduating that I've only heard this morning about the Top Card Contest by Mama Elephant. Dealine: today. It already started on may 15th...

Luckily wednesday is my day off word. So I was good and did the house cleaning first. Good thing about house cleaning is that it keeps the hands busy but your brain can wander. And so I got the idea for this card while cleaning.

I only have quite a lot of the Little Agenda stamp sets by Mama Elephant, and three "normal" ones as well as the Wiper Card die, the Waterfall Card die and the Turner Surprise die. So there wasn't that much in my stash to pick from. But at least that kept me from placing another order and made me use what I had at hand. And this is the card I just finished.

 Geschlossen ist sie echt unspektakulär. Ein Nachthimmel mit Wolke, etwas Gras und Gebüsch und ein kleiner Elefant, der ein Schild hält. Der Elefant ist aus dem Big News Stempelset - ebenso wie der Text auf dem Schild. Den habe ich nur etwas modifiziert: ich habe nur einen Teil des Textes gestempelt und das Ende durch ein BOO! ergänzt. 

Der Nachthimmel ist mit Distress Oxide Dried Marygold, Victorian Velvet, Dusty Concord und Black Soot gestaltet. Die Sterne sind mit leicht verdünnter Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. Für das Gebüsch und das Gras habe ich Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles und Black Soot sowie Schablonen verwendet.

The closed card is pretty boring. There's a night sky with a cloud, some grass and a few bushes and an elephant holding a sign. The elephant is from the Big News stamp set - as is the text on the sign. I've only modified it a bit by only stamping part of the text and ending it with a BOO!

The night sky was made using Distress Oxide Dried Marygold, Victorian Velvet, Dusty Concord and Black Soot. The stars were sprinkled on using white acrylic paint mixed with a bit of water. For the grass and bushes I've used Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles and Black Soot and some stencils.

Man kann es auf dem ersten Bild schon erahnen - ich habe hier die Wiper Card Stanze benutzt. Ich musste die Fläche ein wenig vergrößern - in Höhe und Breite. Mit der Big Shot Plus und einer Platte der "normalen" Big Shot sowie viermal kurbeln und Partial Die Cutting ging das ganz gut.  Und so sieht man bei auseinander gezogener Karte kleine Gespenster, die sich vorher gekonnt versteckt hatten.

You can already tell it if you take a close look at the first picture - I've used the Wiper Card Die here. I had to enlarge it a bit for what I had in mind - length and height. Using the Big Shot Plus and a plate from the "regular" Big Shot it worked with Partial Die Cutting and four runs through the die cutting machine. And now when the card is opened you can see a few little ghosts that were hiding before.

Die Geister sind alle aus dem Little Boo Agenda Stempelset. Schon als ich das erste Bild davon sah, wusste ich, das muss ich haben. Ich hätte nur nicht erwartet, dass es so früh im Jahr zum Einsatz kommen würde.

Alle Motive sind mit Copics coloriert.

All those cute ghosts are from the Little Boo Agenda stamp set. When I saw the first picture of it I knew I had to have it. I just didn't expect to use it that early in the year.

All the images are colored in with Copics.

Aber auf meiner Karte versteckt sich noch mehr. Naja, ganz verstecken konnte ich es nicht: die Turner Surprise Stanze. Ich habe die beiden Teile passend zum Himmel eingefärbt, so dass sie optisch zumindest ein wenig verschwindet. Und natürlich verbirgt sich darunter noch ein weiteres Motiv.

But there's more on this card. Well, I've tried to hide it but of course you can tell it's there: the Turner Surprise. I've inked up both parts of it matching the night sky to at least hide it a bit. And of course there's another image there.

Hier habe ich den Mond aus dem Stempelset Wish Upon a Star aufgestempelt. Er steht auf dem Kopf, weswegen ich den Stern, der von der Spitze hängt, wegmaskieren musste. Und auch der süße Hase, der eigentlich darauf sitzt, ist verschwunden. Stattdessen habe ich einen weiteren Geist aufgestempelt.

Here I've used the moon from the Wish Upon a Star stamp set. It's upside down so I had to mask off the star that's dangling from the upper tip. And also the cute bunny sitting on it is gone. Instead there's another ghost flying by.

So, und jetzt gehe ich ganz schnell mit meiner Karte am Contest teilnehmen!

Es ist wieder Produktwoche auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog - und diesen Monat haben wir uns für die Inks von MFT entschieden. 

Hello everyone!

It's product spotlight week again over at Stamping-Fairies Blog and this months we've picked the MFT inks to be spotlighted.

Die Ink Pads von MFT gibt es als "normale" Dye Ink und als Hybrid Ink, die dann auch für die Coloration mit Copics geeignet sind. Ich habe von beiden Varianten alle Farben jeweils als kleine Kissen. Und auf meiner Karte kamen beide zum Einsatz.

Der Hintergrund ist mit den kleinen Dye Ink Pads gemacht. Ich habe die Direct To Paper Technique angewanddt, bei der mit Stempelkissen direkt auf das Papier gewischt wird. So habe ich hier meinen Hintergrund gestaltet und dafür die Farben Sno Cone, Summer Splash, Blu Raspberry und Tropical Teal verwendet. Ich habe sie leicht überlappend aufgewischt und sie nach rechts hin "auslaufen lassen". Das erreicht man, indem man entweder den Druck reduziert oder einfach die Wisch-Geschwindigkeit erhöht.

The ink pads by MFT are available as "normal" Dye Inks and as Hybrid Inks that can also be used with Copics. I own all the colors as mini ink cubes in both the Dye Inks and the Hybrid Inks and have used both types here.

The background was made using the Direct To Paper Technique. You simply use your ink pads and add the color directly onto your paper. I've used Sno Cone, Summer Splash, Blu Raspberry an Tropical Teal here. I've let them overlap a bit and adheared less color on the right side of my cardstock. You simply get that look by either reducing the pressure on your ink pad or by moving it faster.

Das Motiv habe ich mit dem Tickled Pink Hybrid Kissen gestempelt und es dann mit Copics und der No-Line Technik coloriert. 

The image was stamped using the Tickled Pink Hybrid Ink Pad and then colored in with Copics doing the no-lines technique.

Mir war mal wieder nach einem Wortspiel - also habe ich hier ein aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanztes hai aufgeklebt. Das steht natürlich für "hi" und für Hai. Wer kennt den uralten Witz nicht - "Hi!" - "Wo?". Das Wort ist aus einzelnen Buchstaben zusammengesetzt, die ich mit der Alphabet Handlettering Lowercase Stanze von Craft Emotions gestanzt habe. Das H war mir ein wenig zu "nüchtern", ich wollte etwas geschwungeneres. Also habe ich ein Y gestanzt, es auf den Kopf gestellt und kurz vor dem Bogen den hinteren Teil durch den eines kleinen H ersetzt. Der Buchstabe ist jetzt ein wenig kleiner, bei der Schriftart fällt das aber gar nicht auf, oder?

Damit das Wortspiel funktioniert musste natürlich ein Hai auf die Karte - da kam das Stempelset Friends with Fins genau recht. Er hatte offenbar Hunger - und hat doch glatt ein kleines Stück aus der Schleife des H herausgebissen. ;) Dafür habe ich einfach mit einer Handstanze einen Teil eines kleinen gewellten Kreises aus dem Buchstaben gestanzt. 

Mit einem weißen Gelmarker habe ich ein paar Highlights aufgemalt.

 Unter das Wort habe ich dann einen der Texte aus dem Stempelset Well, Hello gesetzt. Es ist mit weißem Embossingpulver auf einen Streifen schwarzen Cardstock embosst und ihn links angeschrägt.

I felt like a play with words again. Hai is how you'd write "hi" if you'd write it in german. It's also the german word for shark. There's even a - not really funny - joke here: Two fish meet. When one says "hi/hai" the other one asks "where?". The word was put together from individual letters cut from black cardstock using the Alphabet Handletterin Lowercase dies by Crafts Emotions. The lowercase h wasn't fancy enought for my taste/this card so instead I've die cut a Y, turned it upside down and replaced its right end with the right end of an H. Due to that the letter is slightly smaller but with this font it really isn't a problem I guess.

To make the play with words work I needed a shark on this card. So the Friends with Fins stamp set just came in at the perfect moment. Seems like he was hungry - he's bitten a piece out of the H. ;) I've simply used a hand punch of a small scalloped circle to punch out the piece.

I've used a white gelly marker to add some highlights.

Under the hai I've glued a strip with one of the sayings from the Well, Hello stamp set. It's white heat embossed onto a strip of black cardstock that I've cut in an angle on the left side.

Natürlich brauchte die Karte auch etwas Deko - und ich fand, ein wenig mehr Farbe könnte nicht schaden. Ich habe die Steine, Wasserpflanzen und Korallen aus dem Under the Sea Stanzenset verwendet. Und auch hier habe ich die Direct To Paper Technique angewandt. Ich habe weißen Cardstock mit den kleinen Ink Pads eingefärbt. Für die Koralle habe ich Peach Bellini, Coral Crush und Persimmon verwendet, für die Steine Grout Gray, Cement Gray und Gravel Grey und für die Algen Green Room, Gumdrop Green und Jellybean. Ich habe jeweils ein Stück weißen Cardstock erst mit dem hellsten Ton, dann etwa 2/3 des Stücks mit dem mittleren Farbton und zum Schluss das untere Drittel mit dem dunkelsten eingefärbt und anschließend die Motive ausgestanzt. So sehen sie fast aus wie coloriert.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar Blubberblasen aufgeklebt - gemacht mit den White Blizzard Glitter Drops von Nuvo.

Of course my card needed some decorations as well - and I thought a little color couldn't hurt. I've added stones, water plants and corals using the Under the Sea die set. And also here I've done the Direct To Paper Technique. I've inked up some white cardstock using the small ink pads again. For the corals I've used Peach Bellini, Coral Crush and Persimmon, for the stones I wen with Grout Gray, Cement Gray and Gravel Grey and for the water plants I've used Green Room, Gumdrop Green and Jellybean. For each of the color combinations I've first inked up the white cardstock with the lightest color, then added the middle tone to about 2/3 of it and then used the darkest tone on the lower third. Then I've cut the images from these pieces of colored in cardstock. Now they kind of look liked colored with markers. 

In the end I've added some bubbles, made using the White Blizzard Glitter Drops by Nuvo.
