Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Ich weiß, dass Abschlussprüfungen nicht überall in Deutschland zur gleichen Zeit stattfinden. Hier in Bayern ist es aber langsam soweit. Heute habe ich eine Karte zu zeigen, die jemandem, der diesen Schritt jetzt gehen muss/darf, viel Glück wünschen soll.

Here in Germany exams aren't held at the same time in all party of the country. But here in Bavaria they are coming close. So today I've a card to share to whish good luck tosomeone that has to do them soon.

Ich habe hier wieder auf einem Stück weißem Cardstock gearbeitet, das ich - nach dem Dekorieren - grau gemattet und auf eine weiße Kartenbasis geklebt habe.

Here I've worked on a piece of white cardstock again. After decorating it I've matted it with grey cardstock and glued everything onto a white note card.

Hier habe ich zuerst mit roter Tinte den Text aus dem Glückwunsch - Kleeblatt Stempelset aufgestempelt und ihn dabei am rechten Rand angesetzt bzw. ihn dort überstehen habe lassen. Ich weiß, der Text ist eigentlich eher für Geburtstage geeignet, aber wenn man nicht jedes Wort einzeln liest sondern den Text als Hintergrund sieht, fällt gar nciht auf, dass da etwas von Geburtstag steht, oder? ;)

Da mir nur der rote Text zu fad war, habe ich auch noch den Kleeblatt-Hintergrund aus dem selben Set mit hellgrauer Tinte auf den unteren Teil der Karte aufgestempelt.

Aus dem fertigen Hintergrund habe ich dann mit einem der Stitched Kreise einen Kreis ausgestanzt und nun den weißen Cardstock mit 3D Tape auf den grauen Cardstock geklebt. Die tollen Fliegenpilze aus dem Stempelset Glückspilz sind mit Copics coloriert, ebenfalls mit 3D Tape in den Ausschnitt geklebt und dann mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Das Glück ist ein Teil des Wortes Glückspilz aus einem Text, der zusammen mit den Pilzen kommt. Ich habe erst die Sprechblase aus dem Sprechblasenset 2 aus grauem Cardstock gestanzt. Da es von der Form her so besser passte, habe ich die Rückseite verwendet. Um die Stiche besser hervorzuheben, habe ich sie von oben mit einer Nadel "nachgemalt" und auch den Rand des Cardstocks mit einem Bonefolder abgeflacht. Dann habe ich das Wort/den Wortteil Glück mit schwarzer Tinte in die Sprechblase gestempelt.

Das Viel habe ich mit dem Dymo gemacht, auf die Karte geklebt und die Sprechlbase mit 3D Tape darauf geklebt.

Unter den Ausschnitt in der Karte war noch genug Platz für einen größeren Text. Also habe ich das Du schaffst das mehrfach aus schwarzem Cardstock ausgestanzt, aufeinander geklebt und dann auf den unteren Teil der Karte angebracht.

Zum Schluss kamen noch ein paar schwarze Enamel Accents und klare Glitzersteine auf die Karte.

Here I've used a text stamp with different wishes and stamped it several times with red ink to create the background. I've stamped it standing out over the right edge of my white cardstock and changed the postion of the stamp each time before stamping.

Since just the red text seemed a bit plain here I've also added a bunch of small four leaved clovers. It's  a quite small background stamp and I've stamped it several times.

From the finished background I've die cut a circle and then glued the white cardstock onto the grey one with dimensionals. The great mushrooms are colored with my Copics, glued into the cut out with dimensionals again and then covered with Glossy Accents.

The word in the speech bubble reads luck. I've stamped it onto the speech bubble - and had to use its backside here since it fits better onto the card used that way. To make the stitches visible I've used a needle to re-draw them and also went over the outer edges with a bonefolder. Then I've stamped the word with black ink.

With my Dymo I've written a "good", glued it onto the card and put the speech bubble over it, again with dimensionals, to create a good luck saying.

Under the cut out in the card there was enough room for a bigger saying. So I've die cut a "you'll make it" several times from black cardstock, stacked the die cuts on top of each other and then glued them onto the card.

To finish the card I've added a few black Enamel Accents and clear rhinestones.

The sky's the limit

Heute zeige ich auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog mal wieder eine interaktive Karte. So eine Pendelkarte habe ich schon öfter gemacht, finde sie aber so klasse, dass ich sie immer wieder gerne mache.

Over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog I am once again sharing an interactive card. I've already made several of those but I like the technique so much that doing it over and over again is still fun.

Damit Euch nicht schwindlig wird, habe ich hier ein normales Foto für Euch. 

Bei dieser Karte habe ich den Himmel mit Distress Oxide Salty Ocean, Blueprint Skecht, Chipped Sapphire und Black Soot gewischt. Der Boden - mit einer frei Hand geschnittenen Schablone gemacht, da ich auf einem Stempeltreffen war und die Hills Stencil vergessen hatte - habe ich mit Mowed Lawn gewischt. Bevor ich den Himmel gewischt habe, habe ich mit klarem Embossingpulver die Sterne aus dem Unicorns and Glitter Stempelset auf den weißen Cardstock embosst. So scheinen sie nun schön hell und klar am Himmel. 

Ich weiß, eigentlich macht man Fallschirmsprünge nicht unbedingt nachts. Aber wie gesagt, ich war auf einem Stempeltreffen und hatte nur limitierte Auswahl an Stempelkissen dabei. Naja, eigentlich wollte ich die Karte von letzter Woche mit einem Sternenhimmel machen und diese hier mit normalem Wolkenhintergrund. Beim Machen habe ich dann irgendwas durcheinander gebracht und so muss der arme Hase also bei Nacht springen. Der schaut aber so aus, als würde er das genauso genießen... ;)
Unten auf die Hügel am Boden habe ich noch vier Bäume gepflanzt. Die sind, ebenso wie der Vogel, der Hase und der Text, im Stempelset Sky High von MFT enthalten.

I don't want you to get dizzy so I have a normal picture of this card for you.

Here I've used Distress Oxide Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot to create the night sky. The ground - cut by hand since I was at a creative get together and had forgotten my hills stencil - was made with Mowed Lawn. Before doing the sky I've clear heat embossed the stars from the Unicorns and Glitter stamp set onto the white cardstock. Now they shine bright on the night sky.

I know, usually you wouldn't do this jump during the night. But as mentioned - I was at a crafty get together and only had limited stock of ink pads with me. Originally I had planned to do the card I've shared with you last week with a night sky and this with a regular cloud background. But while crafting - and chatting - I've mixed things up and now the bunny has to do the jumping during the night. But he looks like he's enjoying it anyways... ;)

To the hills I've glued four trees. Those, as well as the bird, the bunny and the saying, are all from the Sky High stamp set by MFT.

Und wie immer bei meinen interaktiven Karten habe ich noch ein Video für Euch. Die Farbqualität hier ist nicht der Renner, dafür seht Ihr die Bewegung.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 04. April 2020

Heute haben wir beim Stempeleinmaleins einen Tassenhalter für Euch. Eine tolle Geschenkidee für Ostern, daher diesmal mit Hasenohren am Verschluss. Das ist aber natürlich variabel.

Over at Stempeleinmaleins we share a tutorial for a mug holder today. A great idea for a little easter gift so we've added some bunny ears to the top. But of course the shapes there can be changed easily.

 Die Tasse kommt in einer Verpackung, in der sie schön stabil steht und trotzdem einen Blick auf die Tasse freigibt. Ich habe sie aus rosafarbenem Cardstock gewerkelt. Ich weiß nicht, im Frühling zieht es mich immer zu den Pastellfarben...

The mug comes in a kind of sleeve that holds it but also gives a look at the mug. I've created the sleeve from pink cardstock. I don't know why but during spring I always tend to use those pastel colors.

Da ich den tollen Hasengesicht-Stempel von JM Creation hatte, bot sich der geradezu als Motiv für die Tasse an. Das Gesicht ist mit schwarzer Archival Ink gestempelt und dann im Ofen bei 175 Grad Umluft für 35 Minuten gebacken. Das fixiert die Farbe - Spülen mit der Hand ist trotzdem empfohlen. Da es schwer war, den Text aufzustempeln während das Hasengesicht noch nicht fixiert war, habe ich also erst die schwarze Farbe eingebrannt und dann den Text darunter mit rosafarbener VersaCraft Tinte gestempelt. Mit einem Q-Tipp habe ich auch die Nase und die Backen des Hasen ein wenig rosa eingefärbt. Auch der Text ist von JM Creation. Da ich keine komplett gerade Tasse finden konnte, war es etwas schwierig, den Text hier aufzustempeln. Aber man kann ihn trotzdem super lesen. Dann habe ich auch die rosa Tinte bei gleicher Backtemperatur und -zeit eingebrannt.

Das Stempeln auf Tassen ist generell nicht so einfach. Normalerweise ist es am besten, den Stempel auf den Tisch zu legen und die Tasse von oben darüber zu rollen. Das ging hier aber nicht, da die Tasse ja nicht gerade war. Also habe ich einen längeren Streifen Tesa auf der Rückseite des Stempels angebracht, den Stempel ohne Tinte platziert und den Tesa auf einer Seite auf der Tasse angeklebt. So konnte ich den Stempel bei Seite klappen, die Tinte auftragen und dann vorsichtig den Stempel auf die Tasse legen. Mit dem Tesa auf der anderen Seite habe ich ihn fixiert, so dass er nicht mehr verrutschen konnte, und mit den Fingern von oben auf den Stempel gedrückt um den Abdruck - nahezu perfekt - auf die Tasse zu bekommen.

Since I had this cute bunny face by JM Creation it was the perfect image to stamp on the mug. I've stamped it with black Archival Ink and then put it for 175° Celsius for 35 Minutes in the oven. That fixes the color - it's still best to clean it by hand. It was hard to add the saying while the black ink was still wet so I've fixed the black ink first and then added the saying with pink VersaCraft ink. I've also used a Q-Tipp to lightly apply some pink ink to the bunny's nose and cheeks. The saying means "a very happy easter from the bottom of my heart". I wasn't able to find a mug with straight sides so it was a bit tricky to stamp the saying in that curved area. But I made it to make it readable. Then I've also fixed the pink ink in the oven using the same setting and time. 

Generally it isn't easy to stamp on mugs. Usually I'd put the stamp on my table and roll the mug over it. But since I didn't have a mug with straight sides that wasn't an option. So instead I've put a long strip of tape to the back of my stamp, positioned it - without ink - on my mug and glued one end of the tape to the mug. Then I was able to put the stamp aside - like a flap - and add the ink. Next I've carefully put it back on the mug and also taped down the other end of the tape to avoid it from sliding over the smooth surface. Carefully pressing on all areas of the stamp with my fingers made me get a (nearly) perfect image.

Für die Hasenohren habe ich eine weitere Stanze von JM Creation verwendet - die Hasenohren. Als wie wenn sie extra für dieses Projekt gemacht wären... Ich hatte mir die schon letztes Jahr auf der Stempelmesse Süd mitgenommen, aber da waren die Ostervorbereitungen schon vorbei. Jetzt kamen sie endlich zum Einsatz! Ich habe mit Copics ein paar Schatten auf die Ohren gemalt. Außerdem habe ich sie nochmal aus hellblauem Designpapier mit weißen Punkten ausgestanzt und mit der Schere ein wenig verkleinert und auf die Ohren aufgeklebt. Außerdem habe ich beim abgeknickten Ohr den abgeknickten Teil noch einmal ausgestanzt und mit 3D Tape aufs Ohr geklebt. Am linken Ohr habe ich etwas Band, eine kleine Blume und ein Banner mit einem Text angebracht.

For the bunny ears I've used another die by JM Creation - the bunny ears. Like they were made for this project... I bought those already last year in april at a stamp fair but was already done with my easter gifts so now was the time to finally use those. I've added some shadows with Copics and die cut the ears again from light blue designer's paper with white dots. With my scissors I've made them a bit smaller and glued the onto the ears. I've also die cut the right ear again, cut off the hanging part and glued it onto the complete ear with dimensionals. To the left ear I've added a bow, a little flower and a banner with a greeting.

Und dann kam mir noch die Idee, der Hasentasse ein Schwänzchen zu verpassen. Dafür habe ich einen kleinen weißen Pompom mit pinkfarbener Copics und Airbrush eingefärbt und hinten an die Tasse geklebt. Klar, das Spülen übersteht der Puschel nicht, den sollte man vorher abnehmen. Aber die Idee fand ich so süß. 

And then I had the idea to add a tail to the bunny mug. I only had white pompoms so I've used my Copics Airbrush System and a pink marker to color it pink. Sure, that tail won't survive cleaning and should be taken off before. But I simply liked the idea.

Und hier habe ich noch eine Seitenansicht. Am Henkel kann die Tasse/Verpackung perfekt getragen werden. Und das Schwänzchen sieht man auch nochmal... ;) Nun noch die Tasse mit ein paar Leckereien füllen und fertig ist das Ostergeschenk.

And here I have a side view of my gift. You can safely carry it using the handle. And you also get a look at the tail again... ;) Now I only need to fill the mug with some yummy chocolats and have the perfect little easter gift.

You're a limited edition

Vor Jahren schon haben wir Euch diese Kartenart auf dem Stempeleinmaleins gezeigt - aber manchmal braucht man eine Erinnerung an längst Vergessenes. Und manchmal kommen diese Erinnerungen genau im richtigen Moment. So ging es mir als ich diese Karte, die ich heute auf dem Stampcorner-Blog zeige, im Kopf geplant habe.

Years ago we've been sharing this kind of card over at the Stempeleinmaleins Blog - but sometimes you need a reminder of card types you've forgotten about. And sometimes those reminders come exactly at the right time to fit perfectly the project you've in mind. That's what happend when I was planning this card that I'm sharing over at the Stampcorner Blog today. 

Hier kam ein weiterer - oder weiteres? - der süßen Axolotl zum Einsatz. 

Die Karte ist aus dunkellila farbenem Cardstock gewerkelt und hat einen tollen Tiefeneffekt. Den ovalen Ausschnitt habe ich noch hell-lila hinterlegt. 

Auf die Außenseite der Karte habe ich ein paar klare Glitzersteine aufgeklebt sowie mit einem weißen Gelmarker Sterne hinzugefügt. 

Der Text hier ist aus dem Unicorns and Glitter Stempelset von MFT. Ich habe ihn silbern auf dunkellila farbenen Cardstock embosst und mit dem Cardstock in hellerem Lila hinterlegt.

Here I've used another one of those cute axolotls. 

The card is made from dark purple cardstock and has great depth. I've put a smaller light purple oval behind the cut out to make it stand out more.

Onto the front of the card I've added a few clear rhinestones and some stars by simply drawing random dots with a white gelly marker.

The saying is from the Unicorns and Glitter stamp set by MFT. I've silver heat embossed it onto a banner cut from dark purple cardstock, then matted it with the lighter purple.

Hier seht Ihr den süßen Axolotl besser. Ich habe ihn in softem Türkis coloriert und einige Details in kräftigem Pink hinzugefügt. Und weil er ja schlecht fliegen kann, habe ich ihn nach dem Ausschneiden auf eine der Puffy Clouds von MFT gelegt. Davon befinden sich noch mehrere auf der Karte - im Hintergrund sowie zwischen den Ovalen, die das Fenster bilden. Die Wolken im Hintergrund habe ich mit Copics ebenfalls ein wenig schattiert.

Hinter dem Axolotl, der übrigens mit einem Streifen Folie zwischen den beiden Lagen der Karte fixiert ist und so zu schweben scheint, hat sich ein Regenbogen gespannt. Der war auch, womit die ganze Kartenidee startete - ich hatte noch Streifen von einem anderen Projekt übrig. Deswegen fehlt hier auch der kleinste, lilafarbene Bogen. Aber ich denke, auf der Karte ist ansonsten genug lila vorhanden. Der Regenbogen ist mit der schon älteren Sunny Skies Stanze von MFT gemacht. 

Den Himmel im Hintergrunde habe ich mit Sternen, ebenfalls aus dem Unicorns and Glitter Stempelset, silbern embosst und auch hier weiße Punkte, diesmal mit verdünnter Acrylfarbe und einem Pinsel, aufgespritzt. Und was man hier nur schlecht sehen kann - ich habe im Hintergrund den lilafarbenen Cardstock teilweise mit Distress Oxide Black Soot und Seedless Preserves gewischt, so dass ein Galaxie-Hintergrund entsteht.

Here you get a better look at the axolotl. I've colored him in a soft turquoise and used a bright pink for some of the details. And since I could hardly let him float in the air I've laid him down onto one of the Puffy Clouds by MFT - after cutting him out of course. There are more of those clouds on this card - some in the background and some between the two oval cut outs. I've used my Copics to add some shading to the clouds in the background.

Behind the axolotl there's a rainbow. And that's actually what the card started with. I had some rainbow pieces left from another project. That's also why there is no purple arch. But I guess there's enough purple on this card. The axolotl is glued onto a strip of acetate that's put between the two pieces of the card so now he's floating in the sky.

For the rainbow I've used the quite old Sunny Skies die by MFT.

Onto the sky in the background I've silver heat embossed a few stars from the Unicorn and Glitter stamp set and added more white dots. This time I've used a brush and some white acrylic paint mixed with water. What you can hardly see on this picture is that I've used Distress Oxide Seedless Preserves and Black Soot on the back panel of the card to create a galaxy look here.

Mal wieder der Zeit voraus

Das mit den Feiertagen und den passenden Karten dazu geht bei mir nicht nach Kalender. Manchmal habe ich eine Idee, und die möchte dann, egal welche Jahreszeit, umgesetzt werden. Deswegen zeige ich Euch heute schon mal eine Karte zum Muttertag. So lange hin ist es ja auch nicht mehr.

Craftwise those holidays and the cards for them don't care about a calendar. Sometimes I have an idea and that wants to get out, no matter what time of year. And so I am sharing a mother's day card today, which won't be here before may (at least in Germany). But well, that's not too far away, right?

Ich wollte unbedingt diesen Text und das Motiv kombinieren, von den Maßen passten die aber erst gar nicht für mich zusammen. Bis ich auf die Idee kam, eine Easel Card im Querformat zu machen.

I really wanted to combine that saying with this image but at first they just didn't seem to fit together. But then I had the idea of making an easel card.

So sieht die geschlossene Karte aus. Sie wollte zum Fotografieren einfach nicht flach liegen bleiben...

Den oberen Bereich habe ich einfach nur mit Wolken, aufgewischt mit Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass und einer Wolkenschablone, dekoriert.

The top area I've decorated with some clouds, made with Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass and a cloud stencil.

Stellt man die Karte auf, dann schwebenWolken und Sonne am Himmel. Der tolle Text ist blau gemattet, an der Rückseite habe ich die Wolken und die Sonne angeklebt.  

Das zuckersüße Hasenmotiv habe ich in zwei Teile geteilt, so dass ich jeweils rechts und links des Textes ein paar Häschen ins Gras setzen konnte. 

Ich finde, der Text passt einfach wunderbar zur Hasenmama mit ihren vielen Kindern. Das Motiv kommt eigentlich mit einem Ostertext, aber ich hatte sofort Muttertag im Kopf. Und das Herz ist auch im Set enthalten.

If you make the easel card stand the clouds and sun are floating in the sky.

 The great saying means "god wans't able to be everywhere at once so he created the mothers". I've matted it with blue cardstock and glued the clouds and sun to its back.

The adorable bunny image is cut into two parts so I was able to place a few bunnies to each side of the text.

I think this saying goes so wonderfully with mama bunny and all her children. The image comes with an easter text but when I saw it I immediately had mother's day in mind. The heart is also included in the set.

Auf die Innenseite, die ja bei geöffneter Karte zumindest teilweise sichtbar ist, habe ich grünes Designpapier mit Herzendruck aufgeklebt. Darauf kam noch ein Stück Cardstock, auf das ich einen der Kombitexte für Textstanzen gestempelt und das ganze mit einem ausgestanzten "Muttertag" kombiniert. Rundherum kamen noch ein paar Herzen. 

To the inside of the card - that's at least half way visible when the card is standing - I've glued some green designer's paper with a heart pattern. On top of it I've glued a strip of paper with a stamped on "with love on" and  combined it with a die cut "mother's day". A few hearts around finished the inner design.

You are magic

Heute zeige ich auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog diese Karte, gemacht mit dem Unicorns and Glitter Stempelset von MFT. Das ist perfekt um jemanden zu sagen, wie "magical" jemand ist. Kann man da auf Deutsch sagen, jemand sei magisch? Klingt irgendwie eigenartig für mich.

Over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog I am sharing this card today, made using the Unicorns and Glitter stamp set by MFT. This is the perfect set to tell someone how magical he/she is.

Die Karte ist eine Trifold Card mit eingebautem Shaker auf der ersten Lage. Oben könnt Ihr genauer sehen, wie sie aufgebaut ist.

This card is a trifold card with a shaker included in the front. Above you get a better look at how it's folded.

Hier habe ich ein näheres Bild des Shakers. Er ist gefüllt mit kleinen holografischen Kreisen, silbernen Kügelchen und klaren Glitzersteinchen. Das süße Einhorn-Mädchen mitsamt Wolke ist oben auf den Shaker aufgeklebt.

Eines der DT Mitglieder von MFT hatte das Mädel mit regenbogenfarbigen Haaren coloriert. Das fand ich so klasse, dass ich das hier auch gemacht habe. Um die Haare so richtig hervorstechen zu lassen, habe ich ihre Kleidung weiß coloriert. Nur das Horn ist ebenfalls in Regenbogenfarben coloriert. 

Oben auf Rahmen und Shaker habe ich noch einen der Texte aus dem Set augeklebt. Der komplette Text hier lautet "You are straight up magic", aber das war hier für meine Karte zu lang. Also habe ich das straight up einfach weggelassen. Der Text ist auf ein kleines Banner gestempelt, mit silberfarbenem Glitzercardstock hinterlegt und ebenfalls oben auf die Folie des Shakers geklebt.

Here I have a close up of the shaker. It's filled with holographic dots, tiny silver beads and some clear rhinestones. The cute unicorn girl and the clouds she's staning on are glued on top of the shaker.

One of the DT members from the MFT team colored the girls with rainbow colored hair. I liked that so much that I've decided to do it myself. To make the hair pop I've only added some grey shadows to her clothes to make them look white. Only the horn is colored in rainbow colors as well.

To the upper part of the shaker I've also added a text. The complete one is "you are straight up magic", but that was too long to fit my card. So I've not stamped the "straight up". It's stamped with black ink onto a white banner, matted with silver glitter cardstock and glued onto the frame and acetate.

Klappt man den ersten Teil der Karte auf, kann man durch den Shaker hindurch sehen - und hat freien Blick auf den Teil des Motives, der teilweise bereits durch den Shaker zu sehen war.

When you open up the first layer of the card you can see the table through the shaker - and also get free sight onto the next layer. Parts of it were already visible through the shaker.

Hier im Inneren habe ich mit der Clouds Stencil und Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass Wolken auf die Kartenlage gewischt. Der Regenbogen ist mit der End of the Rainbow Stanze aus Glitzercardstock in allen Farben des Regenbogens zusammengesetzt. Darauf habe ich ein paar "Puffy Clouds" geklebt. Und damit das Mädchen nicht so allein da oben auf den Wolken ist, habe ich ihr noch einen Freund auf die Nachbar-Wolke gepackt. Ich bin ehrlich - ich weiß nicht so recht, ob das ein Hund oder ein Fuchs ist. Ich tue es mal als Fabelwesen ab. Da es mich aber doch an einen Fuchs erinnert, habe ich es orange und Schwanz und Horn wieder regenbogenfarben coloriert.

Here on this next layer I've added clouds to the background using the Clouds stencil and Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass. The rainbow is cut from glitter color in all colors of the rainbow with the End of the Rainbow die. On top I've added a few "Puffy Clouds". 

I guess the girl would have felt lost all alone on those clouds. So to the cloud next to her I've added a little friend for her. I want to be honest - I have no clue if this is a fox or a dog. I guess it's just a magical creature. But since it reminded me of a fox I've colored it orange and the tail and horn in rainbow colors.

Achtung, dieser Post enthält Fäkalhumor. Eigentlich nur bedingt das meine. Aber ich liebe Galgenhumor und Sarkasmus. Und ich finde, beides trifft auf meine heutige Karte zu, auch eine Art, auf die aktuelle Lage zu reagieren...

Warning, this post includes gross-out humor. Usually not my thing. But I love gallows humor and sarcasm. And I think, both goes for this card, my way of coping with the situation we're all in.

 Bei Create a Smile gibt es seit Freitag geniale Stempel und diese Klo-Stanze. Es war wohl reiner Zufall, dass die so grandios zur aktuellen Lage passen. Aber ich finde sie genial. Und da Christine gewohnt schnell verschickt hat, konnte ich gestern schon meinen Umschlag in Empfang nehmen. Und so ist gestern gleich diese Karte entstanden. 

Auf ein Stück weißen Cardstock habe ich mit der Brick Stencil und Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass einen Fliesenboden aufgewischt. Ja, es sollen Fliesen sein, auch wenn mein Mann die nicht als solche erkannt hat. Aber das längliche Format ist doch in! 

Der größte Teil des Textes ist aus einzelnen Buchstaben zusammengestempelt, passend in brauner Farbe. Nur das Scheisse ist aus einem ebenfalls neue Stempelset von Create a Smile. Auch die Buchstaben sind von dort. 

Ich denke, jede Mutter kennt diesen Ruf aus dem Badezimmer: "feeertig". Ich habe ihn hier mal mit aufgegriffen. Der Satz darunter sollte eigentlich "die Scheiße kann dann mal weg" heißen, war mir aber zu lagen. Deswegen ist es jetzt etwas radikaler ausgedrückt. Wie man das auf dieser Karte sehen mag, ist jedem selbst überlassen.

At Create a Smile they came out with their new release on friday. And there's this great toilet die. It was pure coincidence that it goes so great with the actual situation. And I simply love it. Since Christine shipped in her usual super-fast manner I already got my envelope yesterday and immediately sat down to make this card.

I've used the Brick Stencil and Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass to add some tiles to a piece of white cardstock. Yes, these are tiles on the floor - even if my husband didn't see them as those. These rectangle shaped tiles are really modern!

The biggest part of the saying is stamped with single letters, using brown ink. ;) It ready "Doooone! This shit can go away!". Just the word shit is from another of their new stamp set, that includes a lot of great sayings. Also the letters are from one of their sets.

I guess, every mom knows those moments when your small kids scream "dooone" from the bathroom where they were sitting on the toilet. I've picked that up here as well.

Das ist die - geschlossene - Toilette, gemacht mit besagter Stanze. Ich habe alle Teile aus weißem Cardstock ausgestanzt und den Klodeckel mit Copics in Holzoptik coloriert. Den Spülkasten dahinter habe ich einfach aus einem ein klein wenig abgerundeten Rechteck gemacht. Und der Spülknopf ist ein Abfall-Teil einer dieser Lochstanzen für Drahtbindungen. 

This is the - closed - toilet, made using the mentioned die. I've die cut all pieces from white cardstock and then colored the lid in a wooden pattern. The cistern is simply made from a rectangle, I've slightly rounded the edges. The flush button is made from one of the pieces my punch for wire bindings creates - and that I usually throw away.

Das ist der Blick, wenn man den Klodeckel öffnet. Wie gut, dass es keine Karten mit Geruch gibt. Der - sagen wir's wie es ist - Scheißehaufen ist ebenfalls als Stanze beim Klo dabei. Ihr seht es vielleicht schon, hinter meinem Klo versteckt sich noch etwas anderes. Da ich hier nichts aufkleben konnte, habe ich das Stanzteil einfach mit einem Bleistift umrandet und dann mit Copics coloriert. 

This is the view of the opened toilet. I guess we're all lucky that cards don't smell. The - let's say it as it is - poop is a die that also comes with the toilet. Maybe you've already spotted that there's more behind my toilet. I wasn't able to glue anything down here so I've simply traced the die cut poop and then colored it with Copics.

Und dann - tada - ist alles wieder sauber und vergangen. Ach, wenn es nur immer so schnell gehen würde. Ich habe hier die Magic Iris Stanze von LawnFawn eingeweiht. Die habe ich schon einen guten Monat und irgendwie fehlte mir bis gestern die zündende Idee. Aber dann war sie da... ;)

And then - voilà - everything is clean and gone. Oh well, I wish it would always be that easy and quick. Here I've finally used the Magic Iris die by LawnFawn. I have this since a little over a month but didn't have the right idea - until yesterday. ;)

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 28. März 2020

Beim Stempeleinmaleins haben wir heute wieder einen neuen Sketch für Euch. Eigentlich tue ich mich mit fast einlagigen Sketchen etwas schwer, aber zu diesem hier hatte ich sofort eine Idee. Und so ist diese Karte entstanden.

Over at Stempeleinmaleins we have a new sketch for you. Usually I have problems with those kind of one layer sketches. But with this one I immediately hade a vision of the finished card - and this is what it looks like.

Ich habe mich hier quer durch diverse Hersteller gearbeitet. Im Hintergrund habe ich grauen Cardstock weiß mit ein paar Sternen von LawnFawn embosst. Das Papier war recht rauh, dadurch ist das Embossing leider nicht perfekt geworden. Aber es stört mich nicht wirklich. Den grauen Cardstock habe ich schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Quer über die Karte kamen - wie auf dem Sketch vorgegeben - fünf Streifen. Ich habe ocker, gelb, weiß, hell- und dunkeltürkis gewählt.

I used quite a bunch of different brands here. In the background I've white heat embossed a few stars by LawnFawn onto grey cardstock. The paper isn't smooth and so the embossing didn't turn out perfect. But it doesn't even bother me here. Then I've matted the grey cardstock black and glued it onto a white note card.

Across the card I've added five strips of cardstock - the sketch asked for those. I went with ocre, yellow, white, light and dark turquoise.

Als Motiv habe ich diesen süßen Maulwurf sowie die Pinata samt herausfallender Füllung aus dem Pinata Party Stempelset von Mama  Elephant gewählt. Frei nach dem Motto "auch ein blinder Maulwurf trifft mal die Pinata". Coloriert habe ich mit Copics, das Motiv rund ausgestanzt und mit einem Kreis aus schwarzem Cardstock hinterlegt.

As the image I went with this cute mole and pinata including falling out filling from the Pinata Party stamp set by Mama Elephant. Here in Germany we have a saying that goes "even a blind chicken eventually finds a kennel". So here it would go like "even a blind mole eventually hits the pinata". ;) The coloring was done with Copics, then I've cut out the image with a circle die and matted it with a circle cut from black cardstock.

Die tollen Alphabetstanzen mit den Outlines und der Füllung sind von Create a Smile. Ich habe die Outlines aus schwarzem Cardstock, die Füllung aus dunkel türkisfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und auf der Karte ineinander gesetzt. Meine Streifen hatte ich mit 1/4" so zugeschnitten, dass genau der Text von LawnFawn auf einen Streifen passte. Den habe ich mittig unter die gestanzten Buchstaben gestempelt.

Those great alphabet dies with the outlines and filling are by Create a Smile. I've die cut the outlines from black, the filling from dark turquoise cardstock and then put them back together on the card. I had cut the strips across my card 1/4" wide which was the perfect size for this saying by Lawn Fawn. I've stamped it centered under the die cut letters.

Viele Motive gibt es ja in verschiedenen Varianten von vielen Stempelfirmen. Aber ein Axolotl-Set ist mir bisher noch nicht untergekommen. Bis jetzt, denn seit März gibt es ein solches Set von Stampcorner! Und wie meine erste Karte damit ausgefallen ist, seht Ihr heute auf dem Stampcorner Blog.

A lot of animals are brought out by many stamp producers. But I haven't seen an Axolotl set yet. Until now, because there is one by Stampcorner since beginning of march. And over at the Stampcorner Blog I am sharing my first card using this set today.

Ich bin jetzt nicht gerade ein Axolotl-Experte, daher musste ich erstmal Bilder anschauen. Die "possierlichen Tierchen", um es mit einem bekannten Tierfilmer auszudrücken, gibt es ja in diversen Kreuzungen. Ausgewachsen finde ich sie jetzt nicht so doll, farblich gesehen. Aber wenn sie jung sind.... zu süß! Ich habe mich für eine hellrosafarbene Variante mit dunkel rosafarbenen - äh, was sind das eigentlich, was da seitlich am Kopf wächst? - entschieden. Ihr wisst, was ich meine. 

Die Karte an sich ist bewusst dezent gehalten, damit das Motiv wirken kann. Ich habe nur ein Stück weißen Cardstock mit dem Text, der ebenfalls im Set enthalten ist, bestempelt, schwarz gemattet und auf eine weiße Gundkarte geklebt.

I am not an Axolotl pro so I had to look at pictures first. There are so many different variations of these animals, even if most are man made. I don't like the look of the adult ones too much, but as young ones.... adorable! I went with a light pink version with dark reddish pink - well, what are those things coming out of their heads? I think you know what I mean.

The card itself is kept pretty simple to let the image really be the focus on this card. So I've only stamped a "you're unique" saying onto a piece of white cardstock, matted it black and glued it onto a white note card.

Dann habe ich einen Kreis auf der Karte skizziert und den Axolotl hineingestempelt. Ich habe gelernt, dass es sie eigentlich nur in zwei Seen in Mexiko gab. Gab, denn einer davon wurde inzwischen trockengelegt. Nun ja, ein See ist vielleicht nicht ganz so dunkel wie mein Wasser, aber mein Axolotl macht eben einen Abstecher in tiefere Gefilde. 

Der Axolotl ist mit Copics coloriert. Auf die dünne Haut um den Schwanz herum habe ich Stickles aufgetragen. Und weil viele der Axolotl, die ich auf den Bildern gesehen habe, so süße Punkte im Gesicht hatten, habe ich die nach dem Colorieren auch noch hinzugefügt. 

Auch das Wasser ist mit Copics in veschiedenen Grau- und Blautönen coloriert. 

Leicht neben den Kreis und in ihn hineinragend habe ich dann eine ausgestanzte und mit Schatten versehene Wasserpflanze wachsen lassen und darunter und nach links hin weitergezogen habe ich grüne Mini-Pailetten in zwei verschiedenen Grüntönen als Grund aufgeklebt.

Auf dem Wasser befinden sich noch ein paar Blubberblasen, gemacht mit Glossy Accents. Vielleicht hätte ich darunter die Copics etwas aufhellen sollen, dann wären sie noch besser sichtbar gewesen. Aber so finde ich es auch ganz gut.

Then I've lightly drawn a circle onto the paper and stamped the Axolotl into  it. I've learned that those only lived in two lakes in Mexico - lived because one of them was dried out by us humans. Well, I guess a lake usually isn't as dark as the water on my card so my Axolotl is taking a trip into deeper water here.

The Axolotl is colored with Copics. I've added Stickles to the skin around his tail. And since so many of the  Axolotls I've seen on pictures had those funny dots in their faces I've decided to add some to mine as well.

Also the water is made with Copics, using different shades of greys and blues. 

Next to the circle and going into it I've glued down a die cut water plant that I've shaded with Copics as well. Under the plant and also to the left I've added mini sequins in two different tones of green to add a ground to the lake.

Onto the water I've also added some bubbles with Glossy Accents. Maybe I should have made the Copics underneath a bit lighter with my blender so they would be better noticable. But I also like it this way.

Eine Karte zur Kommunion

Ich glaube, ich habe es schon mal erwähnt, aber mit Kommunion habe ich eigentlich nichts zu tun. Nicht nur, weil meine Kinder aus dem Alter längst alle raus sind, sondern auch, weil wir einfach nicht religiös sind. Aber basteltechnisch macht mir das Thema dann doch hin und wieder Spaß. Und so ist diese Karte entstanden.

I think I've already mentioned it some time ago, but my life isn't affected by the Holy Communion. Not only because my kids are all way behind that age but also because we're just not religious. But when it comes to crafts I like to make some communion stuff every now and then. And so I've made this card that I'm sharing with you today.

Es ist eine eher einfache Karte - zu überladen finde ich hier einfach nicht schön. Also habe ich mit den Stitched Rechtecke von JM Creation ein Stück weißen sowie ein Stück hellblauen Cardstock ausgestanzt, aufeinander gesetzt und auf eine weiße Kartenbasis geklebt.

It's a pretty simple card - I just don't like messy cards for this theme. So I've used some stitched rectangle dies to die cut a rectangle from white and a bigger one from light blue cardstock, put them on top of each other and glued them onto a white note card.

Für die Deko habe ich erst den Regenbogen mit den Wolken etwa mittig auf die Karte gestempelt und anschließend mit Copics schön leuchtend coloriert. Dann habe ich das colorierte Motiv abgedeckt und den Himmel drumherum leicht mit Distress Ink Tumbled Glass gewischt.

Das Kreuz im Rahmen ist aus goldenem Spiegelkarton gestanzt und auf den rechten Teil des Regenbogens geklebt. Dazu gleich mehr.

Unter den Regenbogen habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte noch einen Kommunions-Text gestempelt. 

As an image I've first stamped the rainbow with the clouds in the middle of my card and then colored it with Copics, using vibrant and happy colors. Then I've covered the colored image and used Distress Ink Tumbled Glass to lightly ink up the sky around the rainbow. 

The cross in the frame is die cut from golden mirror cardstock and glued onto the right side of the rainbow. More about that shortly.

Under the rainbow I've added a communion saying, using black ink to stamp it.

Und hier könnt Ihr das Kreuz besser sehen. Das Stanzenset besteht aus dem Kreuz im Rahmen sowie einem einzelnen Kreuz in passender Größe. Das einzelne Kreuz habe ich ebenfalls aus goldenem Spiegelkarton gestanzt und mit 3D Tape auf das Kreuz im Rahmen aufgeklebt.

And here you get a better look at the cross. The die set comes with the cross in the frame and a single cross in a matching size. So I've also die cut the individual cross, again from golden mirror cardstock, and glued it onto the cross in the frame with dimensionals.

Auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige ich heute diese fröhliche Geburtstagskarte.

Over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog I am sharing this bright birthday card today. 

Jennifer McGuire hat vor kurzem in einem ihrer Videos mit geometrischen Formen gearbeitet, die sie zusätzlich mit - kleineren - Stanzen geprägt hat. Das wollte ich ausprobieren. Ich weiß nicht, warum ich zu den Hexagons gegriffen habe und noch beim Zusammensetzen der Karte war ich mir damit nicht sicher. Aber das Endergebnis finde ich doch klasse.

Im Hintergrund habe ich den Numbers Background von MFT weiß auf grauen Cardstock embosst. Darauf kamen die Stitched Hexagons in verschiedenen Größen, gestanzt aus türkisfarbenem Cardstock und mit der jeweils kleineren Stanze geprägt. Ich hatte bereits die kleinste Stanze im Set zum stanzen der kleinen Hexagons verwendet, darum sind die kleinsten nicht geprägt. Außerdem habe ich sie dunkel-türkis gemattet (geschnitten per Hand). 

Jennifer McGuire was playing with geometrical forms in one of her recent videos and she also embossed the die cuts with matching - smaller - dies. I wanted to try that. I don't know why I went with the hexagons and even while putting it together I wasn't sure if this was a good choice. But I really liked it once everything was in place.

In the background I've white heat embossed the Numbers Background by MFT onto grey cardstock. Then I've added the Stitched Hexagons in different size, die cut from turquoise cardstock and embossed with the smaller die. I didn't have a smaller one than the smallest used here so the smallest aren't embosst. I've also matted the hexagons with dark turquoise cardstock, cut by hand.

Etwa in der Mitte der Karte habe ich ein rot gemattetes Hexagon aus weißem Cardstock geklebt. Das war mir aber zu krass im Kontrast, darum habe ich noch ein kleineres, gestanzt aus rotem Designpapier mit weißen Punkten, aufgeklebt. An den gestichelten Linien kann man sich prima zum Schneiden orientieren. 

Darauf kam der süße Elefant aus dem Stempelset Birthday Buds. Ich habe die Konfetti über seinen Rüssel gestempelt, das Motiv mit  Copics coloriert und dann alles per Hand ausgeschnitten. Die Geschenke sind einzeln gestempelt und ausgeschnitten. Ich habe hier die Geschenke mehrfach verwendet und eines auch gedreht. Dann habe ich alles auf drei verschiedenen Ebenen aufgeklebt.

Approximately in the middle of the card I've added a red matted white hexagon. But that was too much of a contrast so I've added another one on top, cut from red designer's paper with white dots. The stitched lines were a good guide to where to cut it smaller to make it fit.

On top I've put the cute elephant from the Birthday Buds stamp set. I've stamped the confetti like they are coming out of his trunk, then colored it with Copics und cut it out by hand. Also the gifts where stamped individually and cut out. I've used some of them twice and even turned one to the side. Then I've glued everything on the card in three different layers with dimensionals.

Nun fehlte nur noch ein Text. Dafür habe ich das hooray mehrfach aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt und aufeinander geklebt. Die Highlights sind mit einem weißen Gelmarker gemacht. Unter das hooray kam einer der Texte aus dem Bitty Birthday Wishes Stempelset, das ich auf ein weißes Banner gestempelt habe, das dunkel türkis gemattet ist. Dann habe ich es unter das hooray geschoben. 

Zum Schluss kamen noch ein paar rote Halbperlen und Glitzersteine auf die Karte.

Now the only thing missing was a text. I've die cut the  hooray several times from red cardstock and stacked the die cuts on top of each other. The highlights are made with a white gelmarker. Under the hooray I've added one of the sayings from the Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set. It's stamped onto a banner from white cardstock, matted with dark turquoies cardstock and then tucked under the hooray. In the end I've added a few red half pearls and rhinestones to the card to finish it off.
