Witching you a wicked Halloween

Es ist kein Geheimnis, dass ich die Mäuse von LawnFawn liebe. Im Herbst-Release im August gab es ein neues Mäuse-Set und ich dachte eigentlich, das Set wäre das erste, was ich aus dem Release verwenden werde. Aber es kam anders. Jetzt aber kam es endlich zum Einsatz und ich habe diese Halloweenkarte damit gemacht.

It's no secret, that I love the mice by LawnFawn. There was a new mice set in their  fall release back in august and I thought that's the set I'd use first from that release. It came differently. But now it's moment had finally come and I made this Halloween card with it.

 

Den Himmel im Hintergrund meiner Karte habe ich mit Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina, Uncharted Mariner und Black Soot auf weißem Cardstock gemacht. Da ich in der Mitte einen Mond aufkleben wollte, habe ich den Himmel hier am hellsten gewischt. 

Als Sterne habe ich dann silberne Metallic-Watercolor und weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Aus schwarem Cardstock habe ich den Spooky Forest Backdrop gestanzt und - nach ein paar Zwischenlagen - aufgeklebt. Die Bäume habe ich mit hellblauen Polychromos etwas schattiert. 

 

I made the sky in the background of my scene by inking a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide  Salvaged Patina, Uncharted Mariner and Black Soot. Since I wanted to add a moon to the center of the sky I kept this the lightest area.

I splattered silver metallic watercolor and white acrylic paint onto the cardstock as stars.

From black cardstock I die cut the Spooky Forest Backdrop and glued it down - after adding a few layers inbetween. I used a light blue Polychromo to shade the trees a bit.

 

 Der Mond ist aus dem Stanzenset Shadow Box Card Halloween Add-On. Ich habe ihn aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Am Himmel habe ich dann ein paar dünne Wolken aus dem Halloween Mice Set verteilt und vor dem Mond fliegt eine Hexenmaus auf ihrem Besen. Auch sie ist aus dem Set Halloween-Mice - wie die meisten Motive hier. Deswegen erwähne ich ab hier nur noch, wenn ein Motiv nicht daraus ist. Und alle Motive sind mit Copics coloriert. 

 

The moon is from the Shadow Box Card Halloween Add-On. I die cut it from white cardstock and colored it with Copics. I added a few thin clouds to the sky and a mouse witch is flying on her broom in front of the moon. Those images are from Hallloween Mice - as are most of the images on this card. So from here on I am only going to mention if an image is from a different set.  And all images are colored with Copics.

 

 Im unteren Bereich der Karte ist noch einiges mehr los. 

Hinter den Bäumen befindet sich ein Hügel aus schwarzem Cardstock, davor habe ich dann das Spooky Gate aus dem gleichnamigen Stanzenset gesetzt. Die Pfosten sind aus normalem grauem Cardstock, das Tor und die Laternen aus dunkelgrauem Schimmer-Cardstock gestanzt. Die Pfosten hab ich mit Copics schattiert, hinter die Laternen habe ich gelb-orangen Cardstock geklebt.

Vor das Tor habe ich dann einen Boden aus hellgrauem Cardstock geklebt. Der ist eigentlich der untere Teil des Spooky Forest, ich habe die Bäume weggeschnitten, das hohe Gras ist noch leicht zu erkennen.

Und als weiteren Boden habe ich dann, auf die Bäume, eine Lage Gras aus schwarzem Cardstock aufgeklebt. Auf den habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver den Text der Karte aufembosst.

Zwischen den vorderen beiden Bodenlagen befinden sich dann die Motive. Neben weiteren süßen Mäusen ist das vor allem ein großer Hexenkessel, gefüllt mit Süßigkeiten. Denn die dürfen an Halloween natürlich nicht fehlen! 

Der Kessel ist aus dem Set Purrfectly Wicked, die süße Füllung aus dem Set Purrfectly Wicked Add-On. Aus dem Set sind auch die kleinen Bonbons und Candy Corns, die größeren Candy Corns kommen aus dem Set Sweet Spiders .

Aus Vellum habe ich dann noch die Stern-Spirale aus dem Build-a-Drink Mason Jar Add-On Lantern gestanzt und die meisten Sterne weggeschnitten. Das untere Ende der Spirale habe ich hinter dem Kessel, das obere hinter dem Hexenbesen befestigt und dann die kleinen einzelnen Süßigkeiten darauf geklebt. Ob die Hexe auf dem Besen sich per Zauberkraft aus dem Kessel bedient oder ihn gerade voll-gezaubert hat, könnt Ihr Euch aussuchen. ;)

 

In the lower half of my card there is a lot more going on.

Behind the trees I adhered a hill, cut from black cardstock, then put up the Spooky Gate from the die set with the same name. I die cut the posts from regular grey cardstock, the gate and lanterns from dark grey shimmer cardstock. I used Copics to shade the posts and glued some yellowish-orange cardstock behind the lanterns.

In front of the gate I placed a ground from light grey cardstock. This is the ground from Spooky Forest Backdrop. I cut off the trees, the tall grass is partly visible on my card. 

And as an additional ground I adhered a layer of grass, cut from black cardstock, on top of the trees.  This is also where I had room for my text, that I white heat embossed onto the cardstock. 

Between those two front layers I placed the images. Besides more cute mice the most important thing is the cauldron filled with candy. Because there has to be candy on Halloween!

The cauldron is from Purrfectly Wicked, the sweet content from Purrfectly Wicked Add-On. From this set are also the small bonbons and candy corns, the larger candy corns come from Sweet Spiders.

From vellum I die cut the spiral from Build-a-Drink Mason Jar Add-On Lantern and cut off most of the stars. I glued the bottom end of the spiral behind the cauldron, the top end behind the witch's broom and then glued some candy onto it. If the witch on the broom is using magic to get some of the candy from the cauldron or if she just magically filled it is up to you... ;)

 

 Natürlich kam beim Zusammensetzen der Szene wieder 3D Tape zum Einsatz, auf weitere Deko habe ich verzichtet. Nur an einigen wenigen Stellen wie z. B. den Lutschern habe ich mit einem klaren Glitter-Gelstift etwas Glitzer aufgetragen.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Of course I used foam tape to put the scene together but didn't add any decorations. I just added a bit of glitter in a few spots like the lollipops using a clear glitter gel pen.

Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.
