The Next Level - issue 7 und Stamp With Fun # 17

Aber so leicht wird es uns nicht gemacht - es gibt die Zusatzaufgabe ein Element der Karte in 3D-Technik zu gestalten.
Ich habe mich für diese Hänglar-Motiv entschieden und sie in verschiedenen Lagen aufgebaut. (Dafür habe ich alle Abdrücke die ich davon hatte aufbrauchen müssen. Leider besitze ich keinen dieser Stempel - falls also irgendjemand welche verkaufen möchte oder Beziehungen nach Schweden oder Norwegen hat: ich bin für jede Meldung dankbar!! Schickt mir einfach eine eMail...). Außerdem habe ich die Rose von Stampin´Up dreidimensional zusammengeklebt.
Stamp with Fun hat diese Woche das Thema "Stanzteile", es gelten sowohl Stanzer als auch Die Cuts. Ich habe zum einen meine Nestabilities verwendet, zum anderen sind die kleinen Äste ausgestanzt.

But it´s not that easy - ther is a hint: You have to use a 3D image on your card.
I decided to go with this Hanglar image and gave her dimension by adding different layers. (Had to use all the stamped images I had of this cutie. I don´t own one single Hanglar stamp since these aren´t available here in Germany - so if anyone wants to get rid of some or is from/has connections to Sweden or Norway: I am happy for every help! Just email me...) I also layer the rose image by Stampin´Up.
And Stamp with Fun has picked "punches or die cuts" for their new challenge. I used my Nestabilities and also my branch punch.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 17 und The Next Level # 6

The Next Level hat "buttons and bows" zum Thema der Woche gemacht. Also, raus mit den Knöpfen und Bändern um möglichst viel davon auf der Karte unterzubringen.

Ich habe mich für eines der Valentin-Motive von Magnolia entschieden. Auf die Farbkombi hat mich mein Mann gebracht - die typische "Du, sag mal...."-Frage.LOL Also rosa und grau diesmal. Und passend dazu dann viel silberner Glitter. Für die The Next Level Challenge habe ich dann noch viele Knöpfe und Schleifen untergebracht, bin mir aber nicht sicher, ob ich nicht etwas übertrieben habe. Auf jeden Fall könnt Ihr oben das Ergebnis sehen.
Die Papiere sind aus dem All Dressed Up Stack von DCWV, der Spruch Stampin´Up.

I decided to use one of the Valentine´s images from Magnolia. The color combo was my hubby´s decision - I once again asked him the "could you help me out and tell me..." question.LOL So, pink and grey this time. Matching this I´ve also added a lot of silver glitter. Matching the Next Level challenge I also added a bunch of buttons and bows but am not sure if I did overdo it. Well, above you can see my finished card.

Ich wollte mal wieder eine monochromatische Karte machen und bin - natürlich - bei den Brauntönen hängen geblieben. Und Sarah Kay Stempel sind meiner Meinung nach die perfekten Motive dafür.
Da mir der Schnörkel gestern so gut gefallen hat, habe ich heute einen anderen, ebenfalls mit der Cricut geschnittenen verwendet. Darauf befindet sich ein wenig Glimmer Mist und etwas Stickles Glitter Glue. Ich habe mir fest vorgenommen, mein Maschinchen viel öfter zu verwenden! Damit man den Schnörkel auch gut sehen kann, habe ich diesmal einen hellen Hintergrund für das Foto gewählt.
Die Blume ist selbstgemacht. Aber leider kam die geniale Idee nicht von mir, sondern ist auf der Fiskars Homepage als Video gezeigt. Eine bebilderte Anleitung die auch noch super verständlich ist gibt es auf der Homepage von Helen: Scrap a Little. Auf der Seite unter flower tutorials könnt Ihr die Anleitung für diese Blume, aber auch noch andere tollen finden.
Für "extra kreative Leute" hat Next Level den Vorschlag gemacht, ein paar Nähte zu integrieren. Diesem Wunsch komme ich natürlich gerne nach...LOL Meine arme Nähmaschine bekommt überhaupt keine Pause mehr.

I wanted to make a monochromatic card again - and of course I sticked with brown colors. Sarah Kay stamps are the perfect images for that kind of card because of the vintage look of the image itself.
Since I loved that flourish I´ve added to my card from yesterday so much I decided to use another one today, also cut using my Cricut. I sprayed some Glimmer Mist on it and added some Stickles Glitter Glue as well. I really plan to use my Bug more often! I used a light background for my picture this time to make you able to see the flourish quite well.
That huge flower is selfmade. I am not that creative person behind that idea - unfortunately. The instructions were posted in a video from Fiskars on their homepage. A great tutorial how to make these, with pics and easy to understand, can be found on Helen´s homepage: Scrap a Little. You can find the link under "flower tutorials" in the sidebar - there are not only instructions for this flower posted but also for other great ones.
For people that feel "extra creative" The Next Level is asking to use some stitching on the card. It´s a pleasure for me to do so...LOL My poor sewing machine isn´t getting any break at the moment.

The Next Level - issue 4

The Next Level hat diesmal zwei verschiedene Karten zur Auswahl: entweder eine Treppenkarte oder eine freistehende 3D-Karte. Und das praktischste: sie haben auch gleich super verständliche Anleitungen dazu gemacht.
Ich habe noch nie eine Treppenkarte gebastelt und es heute versucht. Insgesamt habe ich 7 verschiedene Magnolia-Stempel darauf verarbeitet! Den Heuballen, die Tilda mit Katze, das Wollknäuel, Tilda mit Halfter, Edwin als Tierpfleger, der Hintergrund und das Pferd. Das Colorieren hat dementsprechend lange gedauert.LOL Aber ansonsten bin ich mit der Szene ganz zufrieden und meine Mädels dürfen sie sich ins Zimmer stellen...

The Next Level has 2 different kind of cards to choose from: a stair step fold card or a free standing 3D pop up card. And the best: they also created wonderful how-to instructions about how to make these.
I´ve never done a stair step folding card and so gave this a try today. Can you believe that I used 7 different Magnolia stamps on it? The hey bale, Tilda with her cat, the wool, tilda with holster, Edwin as animal keeper, the background and finally the horse. Coloring them all took some time!LOL But I am quite pleased with how this turned out and it will go to my girls so they can put it up in their room...

Next Level Issue # 3 und Whiff of Joy Challenge # 35

Endlich komme ich dazu, bei den Challenges des neuen Challenge Blogs "Next Level" mitzumachen. Dort gibt es einen tollen Sketch:

Finally I made a card for the new challenge blog "Next Level". They have a great sketch posted:



Und Whiff of Joy hat für die Challenge # 35 das tolle Thema "Paper Piecing". Ehrlich gesagt benutze ich diese Technik erst das 3. oder 4. Mal - aber sie gefällt mir wahnsinnig gut!
Ich habe das Motiv "Melinda liest ein Buch" gewählt, auch weil es gut für Paper Piecing geeignet ist weil es nicht so sehr detailliert ist. Dann ist das Ausschneiden einfacher. Dazu habe ich Papiere gewählt, die ich dann auch auf der Karte verwendet habe. Ein paar Nähte und Embellishments drum herum und fertig ist die Karte. Auf einen Spruch habe ich verzichtet, dafür noch einen Charm untergebracht.

And Whiff of Joy has choosen "paper piecing" for their challenge # 35. To be honest, it´s the 3rd or 4th time I use this great technique, but I love it more and more each time.
I decided to go with "Melinda reading a book" because this images is great for paper piecing. It´s not too detailed and so cuting out the different parts is easier. I used the same papers that I also used on my card. A lil´ bit of sewing and a few embellishments added and the card was done. I didn´t put a sentiment on it but added a charm instead.
