Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 30. September 2017

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute startet beim Stempeleinmaleins unsere neue Challenge. Und weil er leider schon mindestens einen Fuß in der Tür hat, haben wir ihn gleich zum Thema gemacht: den Herbst.

Ihr seht es vielleicht, ich bin noch nicht wirklich bereit dafür. Darum habe ich zwar ein herbstliches Motiv und passeden Text gewählt, farblich aber mit blau und grün bin ich dann doch eher noch im Sommer unterwegs...

Hello everyone!

Today we at Stempeleinmaleins are starting our new challenge. And since it's not only standing in front of the door but having at least knocked a few times we made it our theme: fall. 

Maybe you can see that I'm so not ready for it yet. So I used a fall-ish image and matching saying but colorwise I went with a little more summer-ish by using green and light blue.

Das Motiv, das ich benutzt habe, ist von Sugar Nellie. Die benutze ich ja auch viel zu selten! Aber hier passte es. Es ist mit Copics coloriert, darunter liegt der Spinnwebenkreis von Marianne Design. Den hatte ich letztes Jahr zu spät gekauft, darum war er noch jungfräulich... 

Etwas Cheesecloth, Blumen, ausgestanzte Blätter und Zweige sowie ein Tag in Holzoptik von Magnolia haben ebenso einen Platz gefunden wie etwas breite Spitze und der Siegelstempel von Catslife Press.

The image I used is by Sugar Nellie. I am using those way not often enough! But here it was the perfect pick. It's been colored in with Copics and there's a die cut spider web circle by Marianne. I bought it last year but it was too late for any fall-ish cards so it was unused until now. 

I also added some cheesecloth, flowers, die cut leaves and twigs, a die cut tag with a wooden pattern by Magnolia and some wide lace. The saying is one of the seal stamps by Catslife Press.

Euch allen frohe Weihnachten

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Vor drei Jahren zum 1. Dezember sind wir umgezogen. Bereits vorher wurden wir angerufen, ob wir nicht Lust hätten, beim Adventsfenster mitzumachen. Das ist eine tolle Sache hier bei uns in der Nachbarschaft. Jeder Familie wird ein Tag zwischen 1. und 24. Dezember zugeteilt. Die Zahl des Tages wird in einem Fenster dekoriert und abends beleuchtet. Dann trifft sich die Nachbarschaft jeden Abend beim jeweiligen "Fenster", es gibt Kinderpunsch, Glühwein, Bier für die Männer, etwas zu Essen und man redet mit den Nachbarn während die Kinder zusammen spielen. Ich finde das eine tolle Idee, so hatten wir auch gleich die Möglichkeit Kontakte zu knüpfen und die Nachbarn kennen zu lernen. Und inzwischen kann ich mir den Advent ohne das Fenster nicht mehr vorstellen. Man ist jeden Abend an der frischen Luft und nimmt sich Zeit, etwas mit der Familie zu unternehmen. Und ja, auch heute am 24. treffen wir uns - dann allerdings schon um 11.00 Uhr vormittags. Im ersten Jahr dachte ich "oh, wie soll ich das denn schaffen?!?! Da ist doch so viel zu tun!". Aber es war toll - was bis dahin nicht erledigt ist, schafft man meist eh nicht mehr. So geht man raus, atmet durch, trifft nochmal alle anderen... 

Dieses Jahr findet das Fenster schon zum 10. Mal statt - also Jubiläum. Und so hat jede Familie eine Kleinigkeit für die Organisatorin vorbereitet, die sie heute überreicht bekommt. Und ich hatte Euch ja schon am Samstag gesagt, dass die nächste Fensterkarte in Arbeit ist. Hier ist sie - sie passt einfach perfekt zum Anlass!

Hello everyone!

Oh well, I will try to explain this story here to all my foreign readers...

We moved here 3 years ago on the 1st of december. Before moving here we got a call if we would like to participate in the advent window. It's something orgainzed in our neighbourhood. Each family gets a date between 1st and 24th of december. You take your number and decorate a window - with lights and the number that is lit up in the evenings. Then all the neighbourhood meets at the family with this day's date, we have tea and mulled wine, beer for the men, there's some food and we chat while the kids play. I love this event! We got to know all our neighbours right after moving here. And now I can't even imagine christmas time without this event. We're out every night and every day you take time to do this with your family. And yes, even today, the day we in Germany traditionally celebrate christmas eve, we all meet, but of course earlier which means 11 am. The first year I thought "wow, how am I going to find time for this that day?!?!? There's always so much to do!". But honestly, whatever isn't finished by now won't get finished in time. Instead you go out into the fresh air, get some time to calm down and meet all the others again...

It's the 10 year anniversary of this event in our neighbourhood this year. And so each family has prepared a little gift for the lady organizing it every year. She will get those small gifts today. I already told you saturday that I am working on another window card. And here it is - it's just too perfect for this event!

Ich habe das Fenster in der Karte "adventsfensterlich" dekoriert, natürlich mit der Zah des Tages. Und auch ein Glühwein trinkendes Mädchen durfte nicht fehlen... ;) Zusammen mit ein paar selbstgebackenen Plätzchen macht die Karte hoffentlich eine Freude. Und hier zeige ich Euch auch, wie so ein Adventsfenster dann abends und beleuchtet aussieht:

I decorated the window on my card in the style we decorate our windows during this event and of course I used today's date. And also a girl/lady drinking mulled wine made it onto my card.... ;) I am giving this card with some homemade cookies and hope she'll like them. And here I am also going to show you what a decorated and lit up advent window looks like:

Kamerakarte

Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Heute zeige ich auf dem Cards-und-More-Shop-Blog diese Kamerakarte. Als Basis habe ich wieder die Card Art Schablone Kamera von Dutch Doobadoo verwendet. Sie ist aus schwarzem Cardstock geschnitten und mit grau-gemustertem Designpapier überzogen.

Today I am sharing this camera card over at the Cards-und-More-Shop-Blog. I used the Card Art stencil Camera by Dutch Doobadoo as the base of my card. It's cut from black cardstock und covered with a grey designer's paper.

For kurzem bin ich beim Surfen im WWW über eine Iris Fold Technik gestolpert. Und für eine Kamerakarte erschien sie mir perfekt. Und so habe ich die Technik in die Kamera integriert: dreht man am Objektiv...

When I was surfing the www a little time ago I stumbled across an Iris Fold Techniqe. And I thought this would be perfect for a camera card. And this is how I included it into my card: if you turn the lens...

...und der Text kommt zum Vorschein.

...and a saying is showing.

Die Basis der Karte habe ich mit Strukturpaste und der Geometric Tiles Schablone von Dutch Doobadoo verziert. Ich bin beim Abziehen der Schablone etwas verrutscht, aber ich finde, es passt zum Vintage-Look der Karte.
Das Motiv - ein Digi von Sugar Nellie - habe ich ganz klein ausgedruckt, schwarz-weiß coloriert, und mit der Polaroid Shape Art Schablone von Dutch Doobadoo ausgeschnitten. Mit einer schwarzen Lage Cardstock drunter sieht es richtig echt aus.
Der Text auf der Karte ist aus dem Kamera Kit von Vildastamps. Ich habe einfach die beiden Zeilen einzeln abgestempelt und aufgeklebt.
Etwas Cheesecloth, zwei Blumen und die tollen Filmstreifen von Magnolia habe ich als Deko angebracht.

The base of the card was decorated using structure paste and the Geometric Tiles stencil by Dutch Doobadoo. I smeared the paste a little when I removed the stencil but I think it goes great with the vintage look of my card.
The image - a digi stamp by Sugar Nellie - was printed really small, then colored in monochromely and cut out using the Polaroid Shape Art stencil by Dutch Doobadoo. With some black matting I think it looks quite realistic.
The text on the card is from the camera kit by Vildastamps. I stamped the two lines individually and glued them on my card.
As decorations I went with some cheesecloth, two flowers and those great film strips by Magnolia.

Und das ist die Karte, die in der Kamera steckt. Der kleine Fotoapparat ist ebenfalls aus dem Kamerakit. Damit die Karte optisch zur Hülle passt, habe ich zudem die gebrochenen Linien von Vildastamps als Rahmen gesetzt.

And this is the inner card. The little camera is by Vildastamps again, coming in the same camera kit. And to make the card match the "envelope" I used those cracked lines to create a frame around the edges.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 9. Mai 2015

Heute gibt es eine neue Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins und diesmal haben wir uns der Bokehtechnik gewidmet.

Today there is a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins and today we went with the Bokeh technique.

Ich bin ja mehr der Fan von vielen verschiedenen Designpapieren auf einer Karte, darum habe ich mich hier mit der Karte etwas schwer getan, bin aber mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden. Die Karte sollte nicht langweilig aussehen, den Bokeh-Hintergrund aber total zu überkleben war ja auch nicht Sinn der Sache. Und so habe ich einen Unterwasserhintergrund gemacht und darauf mit vielen verschiedenen Stanzen und zwei Motiven von Sugar Nellie diese Meerjungfrauenkarte gewerkelt. Der Text ist von Whiff of Joy und passt wunderbar zur Meerjungfrauen-Magie.

I love to use layers of different designer's papers on one card and so it was a bit hard to put this one together, but I like how it turned out. I didn't want the card to look boring but cover all the bokeh background wasn't what I wanted to do either. And so I made this underwater background and used different dies and two images by Sugar Nellie to make this mermaid card. 

The saying is by Whiff of Joy and goes great with the mermaid magic.

Ein Geburtstagsgeschenk

Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Heute zeige ich diese Tasche auf dem Noor!Design Deutschland Blog, die ich als Geburtstagsgeschenk für eine Freundin gemacht habe.

Hello everyone!
Today I am sharing this bag over at the Noor!Design Germany Blog. I made this as a birthday gift for a friend of mine.

Die Tasche ist aus festem Cardstock und mit Magnolia-Papier dekoriert. Oben habe ich eine Girlande von Noor!Design sowie Cardboard Luftballons von Dutch Doobadoo angebracht, passend zum Thema. Als großes Element habe ich den Hintergrund verwendet, der zwar schön groß aber nicht zu dominant ist.
Den Text-Stempel habe ich mir selbst gemacht, darunter habe ich ein Stück der Sternenbordüre von Noor!Design angebracht.
Und das Motiv von Elisabeth Bell bringt noch die Blümchen mit, die ich ja nicht mit verschicken konnte.

The bag is made from thick cardstock and covered with designer's paper by Magnolia. I put a banner by Noor!Design and two Cardboard Balloons by Dutch Doobadoo to the top of the bag, matching the theme. As a bigger element I went with the background die by Noor!Design which is big enough but not too overloading.
The saying is a stamp I made myself and I put a piece of the star border by Noor!Design underneath. And the little cutie by Elisabeth Bell is bringing the flowers that I wasn't able to ship with the bag.

Die Rückseite ist ebenfalls mit Motivpapier überzogen, die Lasche farblich abgesetzt.  Unter das Designpapier auf der Vorderseite habe ich das karierte Band angebracht, das auf der Rückseite zu sehen ist und die Tasche verschließt.
Der Text hier ist von einem farblich perfekt passenden Washi-Tape.
Und auf diesem Foto seht Ihr auch das dekorierte Teelicht und die Streichholzschachtel. Der restliche Inhalt wird nicht verraten... ;)

The back is also covered with designer's paper, using a different one for the flap. Underneath the designer's paper at the front I put the checked ribbon that can be seen on the back and is used to close it.
The saying is from a roll of Washi Tape and matched just perfectly in color.
And on this picture you can also see the decorated tealight and matchbox. What else was in this bag is going to be a secret... ;)

Von Blumen und Gutscheinen

Heute darf ich Euch ein weiteres der neuen Whiff Of Joy Motive zeigen: "Stachelige Grüße". Ist es nicht genial? Mal was anderes als der übliche Blumenstrauß...

Hello dear ones!

Today I am able to present you another of the new images by Whiff Of Joy that will be available soon. Isn't it great - and different from the usual bouquets of flowers. LOL

Da lag es doch dann nahe, eine Blumentopfkarte zu machen. Aber natürlich nicht mit Blumen, sondern mit einer "Kopie" des Kaktus' vom Motiv. Sogar das kleine Schleifchen habe ich wieder mitaufgenommen.

I immediately got the idea of making a flower pot card with this image. Of course not really a flower pot card but a cactus pot card, copying the cactus from the image. I even put a small flower on it like shown on the image.

Und beim Stempeleinmaleins zeigen wir Euch heute als Last-Minute-Idee für Valentinstag, wie Ihr ein Gutscheinheft machen könnt. Ich habe kein neues mehr geschafft, aber habe trotzdem eines zu zeigen, das ich vor einiger Zeit mal gemacht habe. Zwar im Weihnachtslook, aber das macht ja nichts.

And over at Stempeleinmaleins we are showing you how to make a gift voucher book as a last minute idea for valentine's day. I didn't get a new one done but have to share an older one that I made some time ago for around christmas time.

Eine Karte und eine Box

Ich möchte Euch diese zwei Werke, die diese Woche entstanden sind, nicht vorenthalten. Da wäre zum einen diese Karte, die ich für den Sugar Nellie Blog gemacht habe.

I'd like to show you two projects I made this week. First there is this card made for the Sugar Nellie Blog:

Annabelle heißt dieses süße Mädel und es ist eines der Vintage Adorable Digis. Durch die Schattierungen, die das Motiv bereits hat, sind sie so wunderbar einfach zu colorieren!

Annabelle is the name of this cutie and she's one of the Vintage Adorable digi images. These are so wonderful and easy to color due to the shading that is done to the image!

Außerdem habe ich für den Whiff Of Joy Ideenwelt Blog eine Anleitung für eine kleine Box gemacht. Die findet Ihr hier. 

I also made a tutorial for a little box for the Whiff Of Joy World of Ideas blog. You can find it here.

Die Box hat einen festen Rahmen und ein Fenster, das den Inhalt durchschauen läßt. 

Ich habe bewußt auf ein Motiv verzichtet (obwohl genug Platz dafür auf der Box vorhanden ist), aber der Text und der große Löffel sind von Whiff Of Joy.

The box has a frame to make it more sturdy and a window that you can see the content through.

I didn't like to use an image this time (allthough there is enough room for it), but saying and the big spoon are by Whiff Of Joy.

Stamps&Fun=Creativity - Lieblingsstempel

Ich habe es geschafft, eine Designteamkarte für unsere neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity zu machen. Unser Thema dort lautet diese Woche "Lieblingsstempel".

Hello friends!

I made it to finish a card for our new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. This week's theme is "favourite stamp".

Ihr könntet mich erschlagen - ich könnte Euch nicht sagen, was mein absoluter Lieblingsstsempel ist. Es gibt so viele so schöne, so verschiedene... Aber die neuen Digis von Sugar Nellie sind einfach wunderbar! Und darum habe ich Suzie ausgedruckt und auf der Karte verbastelt.

Even if you'd kill me - for nothing in the world I could pick just this one favourite stamp. There are too many too beautiful, too different ones... But I love those new digis by Sugar Nellie and that's why I picked Suzie and put her on my card.

Wenn Ihr das uncolorierte Digi kennt, dann wisst Ihr was ich meine wenn ich sage, selbst uncoloriert hat es durch die Schattierungen schon so viel Aussagekraft. Und daher ist auch sofort die Vorstellung eines rothaarigen Mädchens mit Sommersprossen aufgetaucht... Naja, und grün steht den Rothaarigen ja immer.

If you know the uncolored image you know what I mean by saying that because of the shadows added they look so "finished" already that I had that idea of a red head girl with freckles popping up in my mind immediately. And well, green clothes fit those really well.

I can't believe it took me so long to get another card done, and after our move there's still a lot not working right. But once january will be over...

But now let's start with my very first post of this year, and could there be a better way to start off than with a blog hop?

Ab heute gibt es wunderbare neue Digi-Stamps von Sugar Nellie. Und wenn ich micht entscheiden müßte - ich könnte es nicht! Jedes der Motive ist einfach zauberhaft!

Die erste Karte nach langer Bastelpause fällt mir immer besonders schwer, aber Sophia war einfach nur wunderbar zu colorieren und somit fiel auch das Basteln der Karte ganz leicht.

Well, didn't I tell you she's a cutie?

The first card after a long break from crafting is always hard to do for me. But Sophia was just wonderful to color in and so making this card was as easy as 1-2-3.

Und auch wenn ich schon länger keine Karte mehr gemacht habe, es war toll, keine Weihnachtskarte zu basteln! Und darum und natürlich weil Sophia schon so wunderbar nach Frühling aussieht, ist meine Karte ganz frühlingshaft ausgefallen:

And even if I haven't made a card since quite a while, it was wonderful not to have to make another christmas card. Because of this and the wonderful spring-ish look of little Sophia, I made a spring-ish card:

Helles Blau und Weiß waren die Farben meiner Wahl. Das sind auch die Farben die ich zum colorieren verwendet habe, und durch das blonde Haar fällt Sohpia dann so richtig auf.

Als Deko habe ich zwei Schmetterlinge aus kleinen Blümchen (von SU) verwendet und etwas Spitze. Zuerst wollte ich noch Blumen hinzufügen, aber die hätten die Ruhe auf der Karte nur gestört.

Light blue and white where the colors I picked. These are also the ones I used for coloring and with her blonde hair Sophia is the eyecatcher on the card.

As decoration I went with those two butterflies (by SU) that are made from a lot of tiny flowers - and some lace. I also thought of adding some flowers but they didn't really fit.

Stamps&Fun=Creativity - ein Sketch

Es gibt eine neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity, und zwar einen Sketch.

Hallo and happy monday!
We have a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity and it's a sketch.

Ich habe hier eine der süßen Winterfeen von Sugar Nellie verwendet: Hello Little Robin. Die finde ich einfach zu knuffig! Coloriert habe ich mal ziemlich knallig in grün und türkis und dazu dann viel Weiß kombiniert. Im Hintergrund habe ich die Slender Firs von Magnolia sowie die Tanne von Marianne Design benutzt, dick überzogen mit Crackle Paint. Und so ist eine frostige Winterszene entstanden.

I colored her in quite bright using green and turquoise and combined it with a lot of white. In the background I used the Slender Firs by Magnolia and the Fir by Marianne Designs, both covered with a thick layer of Crackle Paint. And so I ended up with this little frosty scene.

Das Motiv hier auf meiner Karte ist von Sugar Nellie. Es ist etwas älter, aber dafür war es für einen guten Zweck. Alle Einnahmen aus dem Verkauf dieses - und weiterer Stempel - wurden für eine Krebsstiftung gespendet. Ein guter Grund, den Stempel dann auch öfter mal zu verwenden!

Coloriert habe ich mit Distress Inks, passend zum Thema habe ich außen rum noch kleine Sterne gestempelt.

Auf einen Text habe ich verzichtet, die Karte sieht auch ohne toll aus.

This image is by Sugar Nellie. It's an older one but it was for a good cause. All the money earned with this one - and others - was donated. A good reason to use this stamp more than twice!

I colored it in with Distress Inks, matching the theme I also stamped little stars around the image.

I didn't add a saying, I like the card the way it is.

Bei Cute Card Thursday startet heute eine neue Challenge und diesmal haben wir einen Sketch für Euch. Er ist recht einfach, aber Ihr dürft gerne - so wie ich - eine Extra-Lage mit hineinschmuggeln... ;)

Over at Cute Card Thursday we are starting our new challenge today. We have created a sketch for you. It's very basic but if you want to, feel free to add a layer like I did... ;)

Ich habe hier das dritte der süßen Christmas Boys Digi von Sugar Nellie verwendet: Christmas Puppets. Und ich fand es super, um mal wieder eine monochrome Karte zu machen. Es sind Brauntöne geworden und für den extra Alt-Effekt habe ich statt Cardstock zum Matten, braune Crackle Paint an den Rändern verwendet. Dadurch biegen sie sich so schön ein wenig nach oben... 

I used the third of those cute Christmas Boys Digis by Sugar Nellie: Christmas Puppets. And I thought it was perfect to make a monochromatic card again. I went with browns this time and for an extra vintage effect I didn't use Cardstock to mat my photos but used brown Crackle Paint on the edges instead. I love how they curl up due to the paint....

Heute möchte ich Euch wieder eine Karte mit einem Sugar Nellie Motiv zeigen. Und natürlich habe ich wieder eins der süßen neuen Digis verwendet.

Today I want to share another card using a Sugar Nellie image. And of course I had to use one of the great new digis.

"My Flakey Friend" heißt dieser Stempel und er paßt doch perfekt zum aktuellen Wetter. Als wir am Samstag aufwachten und draußen Schnee lag, dauerte es nicht lang und meine Mädels bauten den ersten Schneemann des Jahres. Okay, eigentlich war es mehr ein Schneebär, mit süßen Ohren, aber das gilt ja auch.
Frostige Farben, Schneeflocken und weiß, das könnte mein Rezept für die Karte gewesen sein. Und dazu natürlich Glitzer!

"My Flakey Friend" is the name of this image and it's perfect with the weather we have right now. We woke up to snow on saturday morning and it didn't take my girls long to go outside and build the first snowman of the year. Okay, it turned out as a snow bear with cute ears but that's fine.
Cool Colors, snowflakes and white, this could have been the recipe I used for my card. And of course I needed Stickles!

But now let's talk about the new images - here's my card using one of them:

"Letter to Santa" heißt dieses süße Motiv und es würde mich brennend interessieren, was sich der kleine Hund denn vom Weihnachtsmann wünscht. Ich bin der Meinung, auch für nicht-weihnachtliche Karten ist es wunderbar geeignet. "Post für Dich", "Ich denk an Dich"... es gibt so viele Möglichkeiten, dies beiden Süßen einzusetzen.

"Letter to Santa" is the name of this cute image and I would really be interested in knowing what's on the little dog's wishlist. I think this image can be used for so many occasions, not just christmas. "Mail for you" or "thinking of you" cards are just two of the ways I can imagine to use these two cuties.

Ich habe verschiedene Papiere mit Schneeflockendesigns, ein paar ausgestanzte Schneeflocken und passend zum Brief eine Briefmarke und Poststempel für meine Karte verwendet. Und der viktorianische Zaun paßte so wunderbar zur Laterne. Mehr Deko braucht es doch gar nicht, oder?

I used different papers with snowflakes prints, a few die cut snow flakes and matching the letter on the image a stamp and post stamps on my card. And that victorian fence went so well with the lantern. Do you really need more decorations - I don't think so.
