Technique Throwback Thursday Challenge im Mai 2023

Ich habe ja schon öfter an der Technique Throwback Thursday Challenge in der Share Handmade Kindness FB Gruppe von Jennifer McGuire teilgenommen. Ich finde es einfach spannend, eine "ältere" Technik endlich auszuprobieren oder einfach nochmal umzusetzen, denn man vergisst all die Techniken einfach zu schnell. Im Video, das diesen Monat zum Thema steht, geht es um die Verwendung von Vellum. Und das ist meine Karte.

I've joined the Technique Throwback Thursday Challenge in Jennifer McGuire's Share Handmade Kindness FB group a few times before. I just love to finally try an "older" technique - or just do it again, since all of those get forgotten so easily. This month's highlighted video it's all about the use of vellum. And this is my card.

Meine Karte sollte einen sonnigen, sommerlichen, fröhlichen Look bekommen. Also habe ich für den Hintergrund ein Stück hellgelben Cardstocks zugeschnitten und dann die Sonnenstrahlen aufgewischt. Dafür habe ich die Ray of Light Stencil von MFT sowie Distress Oxide Wild Honey und Spiced Marmalade verwendet. Außerdem habe an den Rändern noch ein klein wenig Rusty Hinge aufgewischt. Anschließend habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe und goldene Metallic Watercolor über den Cardstock gespritzt.

I wanted this to be a very sunny, summer-ish and happy card. So I cut a piece of light yellow cardstock for my background and inked some sunrays onto it. I used the Ray of Light Stencil by MFT and Distresx Oxide Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade. I also added just a hint of Rusty Hinge to the edges of the cardstock. Then I added fine splatters of white acrylic paint and gold metallic watercolor onto the cardstock.

Als Motiv habe ich die Flowers in Bloom von MFT verwendet. Ich habe sie mit weißem Embossingpulver auf Vellum embosst und dann von hinten mit Copics in dunklen Rottönen - durch das Vellum wirkt die Farbe sowieso heller - coloriert. Dabei habe ich die Farbe einfach nur in Punkten aufgetragen. 

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich mit der A6 Wave Stanze von Stampcorner einen Rahmen ausgestanzt, das Vellum - uncolorierte Seite nach oben - von hinten dagegen geklebt und dann den Rahmen samt Motiv mit 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

Das sending - schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt - ist aus dem Stempelset Spring von HoneyBeeStamps. Darunter habe ich ein ausgestanztes sunshine, gemacht mit der Sunshine Stanze von MFT, geklebt. Für mehr Tiefe habe ich das Wort viermal aus weißem Cardstock und einmal aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt und die Worte aufeinander geklebt. Anstelle des kleinen Punktes habe ich ein rotes Herz auf das I gesetzt.

As my image I've chosen the Flowers in Bloom by MFT. I white heat embossed them onto a piece of Vellum and then colored them with Copics in dark shades of red - the vellum makes the color look lighter anyway. I did the coloring on the back of the vellum and only put down lots of dots.

From white cardstock I die cut a  frame using the A6 Wave die by Stampcorner and glued the vellum - uncolored side facing up - behind it. Then I attached the frame to the background using foam tape. 

The sending - stamped black onto white cardstock - is from the Spring stamp set by HoneyBeeStamps. Under it I put a die cut word sunshine, made using the Sunshine die by MFT. For more depth I die cut the word four times from white cardstock and once from gold mirror cardstock, then stacked them. Instead of the tiny dot I used a red heart as the tittle of the i.

Wie immer in Jennifer's Videos zeigte sie mehr als nur eine Technik darin - und ich konnte mich nicht so recht entscheiden. Also habe ich kurzentschlossen vor dem Aufkleben des Rahmens mit dem Text aus dem Hintergrund und dem weißen Kartenrohling drei Wolken gestanzt. Zwischen die Karte und den gewischten Cardstock habe ich dann irisierendes Vellum geklebt. So ist die Karte, wenn sie geöffnet ist, an diesen Stellen durchsichtig. 

As most times in Jennifer's videos she shared more than just one technique in this one - and I was torn which one to use. So I decided to die cut three clouds from both the white card base and the background - of course before attaching the frame and the text. Between the card base and the inked cardstock I put some iridescent vellum. So the clouds are see through when the card is opened.

Nach dem Zusammenkleben aller Teile habe ich als Deko noch ein paar goldene Glitzersteine am Rand der Büten verteilt.

After putting the card together I added a few gold rhinestones to the edges of the flowers.

Mai-Challenge von Stampcorner

Heute startet die Mai-Challenge von Stampcorner. Und dieses Mal haben wir einen Sketch als Thema gewählt - hatten wir, glaube ich, noch nie.

Today starts Stampcorner's may challenge. This time we've chosen a sketch as our theme - I don't think, we ever had one before. 

 

Meine Karte ist maritim ausgefallen - schließlich rückt der Strandurlaub näher! 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich einen Bogen aus dem Paper Pack 06 verwendet. Der Längsstreifen ist mit einem der Papiere aus dem Paper Pack 01 gemacht. Ich habe die rechte Kante mit einer Wellenstanze gestanzt und dann den Cardstockstreifen zusätzlich mit goldenem Spiegelcardstock hinterlegt, dessen rechte Kante ich mit einer weiteren Stanze mit ähnlichem Muster gestanzt habe. 

Und weil mir alles irgendwie zu unruhig wurde, habe ich zwischen das Hintergrundpapier und den vertikalen Streifen ein Stück Vellum geklebt.

 

I made a maritime card - summer vacation at the sea is coming closer.

For the background I used a sheet from the Paper Pack 06. The vertical strip is cut from one of the papers from Paper Pack 01. I die cut the right edge with a wave die and then put a slightly wider strip of gold mirror cardstock behind it, also cutting the right edge with a wave die with a similar pattern.

And since the card became too busy for my taste, I cut a rectangle from vellum and put it between the background and the vertical paper strip.

 

 Alle Motive und gestempelten Texte auf dieser Karte sind aus dem Stempelset Matrosen-Freunde 1, so natürlich auch der süße Bär. Er ist mit Copics coloriert und dann per Hand ausgeschnitten. Die Highlights habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht, außerdem habe ich den Anker auf dem Shirt des Bären mit einem goldenen Gelstift nachgemalt. 

Hinter dem Bären befindet sich ein Kreis, den ich aus einem weiteren Designpapier aus dem Paper Pack 06 gestanzt habe.

All images and stamped texts on this card are from the Matrosen-Freunde 1 stamp set, and of course so is this cute bear. I colored him with Copics and fuzzy cut him out. For the highlights I used a white gel pen and I also re-drew the anchor on his shirt with a gold gel pen.

Behind the bear there's a circle, cut from another sheet of the Paper Pack 06.

In der Mitte der Karte befindet sich ein gestanztes ahoi - gemacht aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock mit dem Spell Anything Alphabet von MFT. 

Auf dem kleineren Kreis darunter habe ich ein Papierschiff, ebenfalls mit Copics coloriert, aufgeklebt. Und direkt daneben befindet sich der weitere Texte meiner Karte. Ihn habe ich schwarz auf zwei Streifen weißen Cardstocks gestempelt. 

There's an ahoy written across the center of the card. I die cut the letters with the Spell Anything Alphabet by MFT from gold mirror cardstock.

Onto the smaller circle under the die cut letters I placed a little paper boat, also colored with Copics. And next to it there's another text meaning "at the beach, you need less to be happy". I stamped it black onto two strips of white cardstock.

Um die einzelnen Elemente meiner Karte auf den Hintergrund zu kleben, habe ich 3D Tape verwendet und das teilweise aufgedoppelt. Dann habe ich alles schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Gold, blau und weiß ist für mich einfach die ultimative maritime Farbkombi - und hier könnt Ihr auch den Spiegelcardstock richtig erkennen.

To adhere the individual elements onto the background I used foam tape and doubled it up in a few areas. Then I matted the cardstock black and attached everything to a white note card.

Gold, blue and white is the ultimate maritim color combo to me - and here you can see the wonderful shine of the mirror cardstock a lot better.

Ich hatte Euch ja bereits "mehr davon" angekündigt - hier ist nun also die nächste Karte mit einem ColoradoCraft-Motiv. Ich hatte (fast) alle gleich beim Eintreffen der Stempel abgestempelt und jetzt liegen sie da auf meinem Schreibtisch und schreien nach Farbe... ;) Diesmal war der Bär aus dem Set Happy Day dran.

I already announced "more of these" - and here it is, another card with an image by ColoradoCraft. I had stamped most of them immediately after recieving the stamps and now they are all there on my desk, screaming for color... ;) For today's card I used the bear from the Happy Day stamp set.

Die Karte ist bewusst einfach gehalten, so kommt das Motiv schön zur Geltung. Und ganz ehrlich, ich finde, diese Karte würde sogar für einen Mann passen.

I kept this card pretty clean to make the  image the star of the show. And honestly, I think this card would even be a great one for a man.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich das Rechteck aus dem Painted Shapes Stempelset von Concord and 9th verwendet. Eigentlich wollte ich das Herz benutzen, das ging mit dem Motiv aber irgendwie so gar nicht zusammen. Also habe ich auf das Rechteck umgeschwenkt und es mit den Farben Misty Morning, Cloudy Sky und Nimbus aus dem Tranquility Mini Ink Cube Set von Altenew abgestempelt. Dabei habe ich die Farbe so aufgetragen, dass ein schöner Farbübergang entsteht. Die weißen Stellen auf der Fläche und die unsauberen Ränder sind bewusst in den Stempel eingefügt - er soll ja wie kurz mal mit Watercolors gestaltet aussehen. Anschließend habe ich nur rechts, links und oberhalb des Rechtecks auf einem schmalen Streifen etwas grau-blaue Metallic-Watercolor afugespritzt. 

Da ich immer ein wenig Abwechslung brauche, habe ich den Bären hier mal mit Polychromos coloriert. Damit kann man besonders das Fell so toll realistisch colorieren. An den unteren Rand des Rechtecks habe ich nur das Gras, das sich hinter dem Bären befindet, abgestempelt und ebenfalls mit Polychromos ganz einfach eingefärbt. Dann habe ich den Bären ausgeschnitten und mit 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

Für den Text habe ich die beiden kleinen Texte mit dem Occasional Labels Stempelset von MamaElephant und schwarzer Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Das Wort Love ist mit einer Stanze von MFT gemacht - einmal aus schwarzem, dreimal aus hellblauem Cardstock. Ich habe  die einzelnen Buchstaben aufeinander und anschließend auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

Und weil irgendwie noch etwas fehlte, habe ich noch drei winzige Wölkchen am Himmel verteilt.

For the background I used the rectangle from the Painted Shapes stamp set by Concord and 9th. I had planned to use the heart from this set, but that just didn't work with the image. So I changed to the rectangle and stamped it with Misty Morning, Cloudy Sky and Nimbus from the Tranquility  Mini Ink Cube set by Altenew. I stamped the colors slightly overlapping to get a nice blending between the colors. The white spots in the rectangle and also the "wonky" edges are how the stamp is designed - it's meant to look like a rectangle, quickly painted with watercolors. Then I spritzed a bit of  grey-blue metallic watercolor only to the area to the left, right  and top of the rectangle.

Since I need a little change every now and then I brought out my Polychromos to color the image in. With those it's pretty easy to color the fur very realistic. To the bottom of the rectangle I stamped the grass that's behind the bear and then just colored  it in with Polychromos as well. Then I cut the bear out and attached it to the background with foam tape.

For the text I stamped the two small texts from the Occasional Labels stamp set by MamaElephant with black ink onto white cardstock and adhered them with thin foam tape.

The word love is die cut using a die by MFT - once from black and three times from blue cardstock. I stacked the letters and attached them to the background.

And since it felt like there was something missing on the card I also added three tiny clouds to the sky.

Eigentlich wollte ich hier den Schimmer der Watercolors für Euch einfangen - ich muss mich wohl erst wieder an Sonne und Helligkeit beim Fotografieren gewöhnen. Dafür könnt Ihr hier die verschiedenen Ebenen und die Tiefe, die die Karte dadurch erhält, gut erkennen.

I wanted to show the shimmer of the watercolor on this picture - seems like I need to get used to sunshine and longer daylight time again, at least when it comes to taking photos of my cards. But at least you get a pretty good look at the different layers and the depth, they add to the card.

Die Idee zu dieser Karte kam mir, als ich die Muttertagskarte gemacht habe, die ich Anfang des Monats auf dem Stampcorner Blog gezeigt habe. Naja, zumindest die Idee für den Hintergrund, auch wenn er eigentlich ein wenig anders geplant war. Aber so ist das beim Basteln ja oft - man ändert mittendrin beim Basteln seine Pläne.

I got the idea for this card when I made the mother's day card I shared a little ago over on the Stampcorner Blog. Well, at least the idea for the background, even if I had planned it a bit differently first. But that's what happens often during the process of making a card - we change our minds.

Hier habe ich den Stempel Blumenwiese zweimal quer über etwa die Mitte eines Stücks weißen Cardstocks gestempelt. Außerdem habe ich die Pflanze ganz links auch nochmal an den rechten Rand der Karte gestempelt. Das war dann auch der einzige Teil, den ich maskieren musste - die Überlappung der anderen Pflanzen ist hinter dem Motiv versteckt. Da ich wollte, dass die Pflanzen im Vergleich zum Motiv etwas "verwaschener" aussehen, habe ich zum Abstempeln der Blumen graue Tinte verwendet. Dann habe ich Distress Ink Salvaged Patina vom unteren Ende der Pflanzen bis fast an den oberen Rand der Kante aufgewischt. Die Farbe geht oben ins weiß des Cardstocks über - dafür habe ich einen Blending Brush verwendet, mit dem dieser Übergang viel leichter zu machen ist.

Here I stamped the Blumenwiese image twice across a piece of white cardstock, putting the plants more or less in the center of the height. I also stamped the one plant on the left edge again onto the right edge. That was also the only piece I had to mask - the area, where both flower meadows overlap, is covered by the image. Since I wanted my plants to look a bit "faded" compared to the image I used grey ink to stamp them.

Then I put a layer of Distress Ink Salvaged Patina over the flowers and a bit above them. I let the color fade into the white of the cardstock and used a blending brush, since getting this transition is so much easer using one of those.

Um die Blumen zu colorieren habe ich dann Polychromos verwendet - ich gehe nicht gerne mit meinen Copics über Tinte. Eigentlich wollte ich Watercolors benutzen, aber irgendwie war mir dann mehr nach den Polychromos - und dadurch wurden die Motive dann auch intensiver, als ich geplant hatte. Durch die graue Tinte, mit denen ich sie gestempelt habe, bekommen sie aber eine Art no-line Effekt. 

Am unteren Ende der Pflanzen habe ich eine Lage grün aufgetragen, außerdem habe ich damit einige Grashalme zwischen die Pflanzen gesetzt, einfach weil mir hier ein gefüllter Hintergrund besser gefallen hat. Und weil die Lücken immer noch etwas zu groß für eine richtige Szene waren, habe ich noch einige Blüten weiter unten eingefügt - ganz einfach durch fünf Punkte mit einem blauen Stift. 

Um den Hintergrund fertigzustellen, habe ich dann noch hell-aqua farbene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt. 

Der süße Elefant aus dem Set Blumige Grüße ist das Hauptmotiv auf der Karte. Und damit es im Gegensatz zum Hintergrund schön klar ist, habe ich es mit schwarzer Tinte gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Für die Highlights kam wieder ein weißer Gelstift zum Einsatz. 

Oben über die Pflanzen habe ich mit Versafine Clair Blue Belle den Text aus dem selben Stempelset aufgestempelt. Und weil der Himmel noch ein wenig zu nackt war, habe ich noch zwei kleine Schmetterlinge hinzugefügt. Die sind aus dem Butterfly Kisses Stempelset von LawnFawn, mit grauer Tinte gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. 

To color the flowers I used my Polychromos - I don't like to go over any inked areas with my Copics. Originally I wanted to use watercolors, but somehow I felt more like using my Polychromos, and that's also, why the images turned out brighter than I had planned. Since I used grey ink to stamp the plants, they get some kind of no-line coloring look. 

To the bottom of the flowers I added a green area and used the same colors to add some grass between the plants, because I wanted my background to be filled a bit more. And since it still looked too plain to me, I added a few simple flowers, made from just five dots with a blue pencil.

To finish the background, I flicked some light aqua metallic watercolor onto it.

The cute elephant from the Blumige Grüße stamp set is the main image on this card. To make it really crisp, compared to the flowers in the background, I stamped it with black ink and colored it with my Copics, using a white gel pen for the hightlighs.

Above the flowers I stamped a "flower greetings" text with Versafine Clair Blue Belle. And since there seemed to be something missing in the sky, I added two little butterflies. Those are from the Butterfly Kisses stamp set by LawnFawn, stamped with grey ink and colored with Copics.

Unter dem Motiv, an den unteren Rand der Karte, habe ich dann noch einen gestanzten Text als Haupttext aufgeklebt. Ich habe die Für Dich Stanze einmal aus dunkel- und dreimal aus hellblauem Cardstock gestanzt, aufeinander und dann auf die Karte geklebt. Für die Punkte über dem u und i habe ich kleine hellblaue Glitzersteine benutzt, da waren mir die Stanzteile zum Aufeinandersetzen einfach zu klein.

Under the image, close to the bottom edge of my card, I added a die cut text as my main text. It means "flor you" and is cut once from dark and three times from light blue cardstock. I stacked them and attached them to the card. For the dots on the u and i I used tiny light blue rhinestones, those cut out dots were just too small to stack them.

Zum Schluss habe ich den Elefanten und die Schmetterlinge mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt, ihn schwarz gemattet und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling aufgebracht.

To finish the card, I adhered the elephant and the butterflies with thin foam tape, matted the cardstock black and attached everything to a white note card.

Create a Smile May Moodboard Challenge

Die Create a Smile Moodboard Challenge für Mai startet heute. Und das ist meine farbenfrohe Karte dazu - inspiriert natürlich vom neuen Moodboard:

The Create a Smile moodboard challenge for may starts today. And this is the colorful card I made for it - inspired of course from the new moodboard:

Ihr seht, es steht ganz im Zeichen von Regenbogenfarben.

As you can see, it's all about rainbow colors.

Irgendwie fand ich, dass der Traumfänger aus dem April-Release perfekt zu Regenbogenfarben passt. Deswegen habe ich die für den Hintergrund benutzt.

Ich habe einen der beiden Stencil aus dem Set Winter Day verwendet und die gewellte Kante in Streifen aufgewischt. Dabei habe ich immer nur an der Kante des Stencil direkt viel Farbe aufgetragen und sie nach oben hin auslaufen lassen. Außerdem habe ich ein wenig jeder Farbe auch unterhalb der Kante aufgetragen, so dass die Farben ein wenig ineinander überlaufen. Ich habe Distress Inks in den Farben Picked Rasperry, Lumberjack Plaid, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Salvaged Patina, Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet sowie ganz unten nur an der Papierkante ein wenig Dusty Concord verwendet. Anschließend habe ich silbere Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

I thought, the dream catcher from the april release would go wonderfully with rainbow colors. So I used those for the background.

I used one of the stencils from the set Winter Day and inked the wavy edge in strips onto a piece of white cardstock. I put a lot of color directly onto the edge of the stencil and let it fade out towards the top. I also put down just a hint of each color also under the wavy edge so the colors could blend a bit into each other. I used Distress Inks in the colors Picked Rasperry, Lumberjack Plaid, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Salvaged Patina, Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet and just at the bottom edge of the cardstock a hint of  Dusty Concord. Then I flicked some silver metallic watercolor over the cardstock.

Den Traumfänger aus dem Set Traumtänzer habe ich weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und dann ausgeschnitten. Dabei habe ich auch all die kleinen Bereiche im Inneren des Traumfängers herausgeschnitten, so dass man den Hintergrund hindurch sehen kann. Ich gebe zu, das war etwas Arbeit, aber sie lohnt sich definitv.

Mittig auf den Traumfänger habe ich den Text gesetzt. Im Set Traumtänzer ist ein gelettertes Wort Traum - ich wollte aber Träume haben. Also habe ich das e am Ende des Wortes Freunde aus dem gleichnamigen Set einfach ans Ende des Wortes Traum gestempelt und zwei kleine Punkte auf das a gestempelt. Ich habe türkisfarbene Tinte benutzt, das Wort auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und ebenfalls ausgeschnitten. Und weil es nicht genug Kontrast hatte, habe ich die unteren Hälften der Buchstaben mit einem Copic etwas abgedunkelt. 

Der Rest des Textes ist ebenfalls aus dem Set Freunde. Diese Teile habe ich weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und, genauso wie das Wort Träume, mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

I white heat embossed the dream catcher from the set Dream Big onto black cardstock and then cut it out. I also cut out all the small areas on the inside of the dream cather, so you can see the background through it. I admit it, it took a bit of time to do that, but I think it's worth the work.

Onto the center of my dream catcher I put the text. There's a lettered word Traum - dream - in the set Dream Big. But I wanted it to be Träume - dreams. So I stamped the e from the set Freunde - Friends - to the end of the word Traum and added two dots to the a. I used aqua colored ink, stamped the word onto white cardstock and then cut it out as well. Since the aqua was a bit too light and the word wasn't in the focus as much as I wanted, I used a Copic to darken the bottom of each letter.

The rest of the text is also from the german version of the set Friends. I white heat embossed them onto black cardstock and then adhered them with foam tape, like I did the word Träume.

Unten an den Traumfänger habe ich drei der Perlenketten gestempelt und am Ende jeder der Ketten zwei Federn gehängt. Die habe ich mit Copics ein wenig schattiert und nur jeweils am oberen Ende angeklebt. Die Spitzen habe ich ein wenig nach oben gebogen.

Die Perlen habe ich mit Metallic-Markern in hellgrün und blau angemalt und sie dann mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

To the bottom of the dream catcher I stamped three pearl string and then added two feathers to each string. I shaded those a bit with my Copics and then glued them down putting glue only behind the top of each feather. The tips I bent upwards a bit.

I used blue and green Metallic markers to color in the pearls on the strings and then covered them with Glossy Accents.

Zum Schluss habe ich als Deko noch ein paar in Regenbogenfarben schillernde Perlen aufgeklebt, alles schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

To finish the card, I added a few pearls with a iridescent finish in rainbow colors, matted the cardstock black and attached everything to a white note card.

Vielleicht habt Ihr es schon bemerkt - ich bin gerade dabei, meine erstandenen ColoradoCraft Stempelsets einzuweihen und ausgiebig zu nutzen. Deswegen gibt es heute eine weitere Karte mit den süßen Motiven von Anita Jeram. Und Ihr könnt Euch schon mal auf weitere in naher Zukunft einstellen.

You might have noticed it already - I am currently using all those ColoradoCraft stamp sets I just got. And so I am sharing another card with the cute images by Anita Jeram today. And you can expect more of them the coming days or weeks...

Für den Hintergrund habe ich allerdings den Birthday Balloons Bold Stempel von HeroArts verwendet. Ich habe ihn weiß auf Watercolor Cardstock embosst, mir einen passenden Ausschnitt ausgesucht und ihn dann mit ZIG Markern coloriert. Den Himmel habe ich einfach ganz rudimentär in hellblau und relativ viel Wasser eingefärbt. Die Ballone habe ich alle grün und die Konfetti gold-gelb "coloriert". Dann habe ich einen der Stempel aus dem Set Greener Grass von ColoradoCraft abgestempelt und von unten her mit Distress Ink Mowed Lawn eingefärbt - unten dunkler, oben heller. Damit die Fläche zumindest ein wenig Struktur erhält, habe ich etwas Wasser aufgespritzt. Das Gras habe ich dann  per Hand ausgeschnitten und mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Himmel voller Ballons geklebt.

For the background I used the Birthday Balloons Bold stamp by HeroArts though. I white heat embossed it onto a piece of watercolor cardstock, picked the area I liked best and then colored it with my ZIG markers. I just did a watercolor wash with a light blue and lots of water to color in the sky. The balloons I colored green and all the confetti golden yellow. 

Then I used a stamp from the Greener Grass stamp set by ColoradoCraft, stamped it onto a piece of white cardstock and inked it with Distress Ink Mowed Lawn - darker at the bottom and lighter towards the grass. To give the panel at least some structure I flicked on some water. Then I fuzzy cut it out and adhered it to the sky full of balloons with some thin foam tape.

Der süße Hase mit Ballon und auch der kleine Hamster sind aus dem Set Birthday Wishing. Ich habe beide Motive mit Copics coloriert, ausgeschnitten und auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Hinter dem Luftballon habe ich dabei dickes, an den Füßen der Tiere dünnes 3D Tape verwendet, um den Höhenunterschied zum bereits erhöht aufgeklebten Gras auszugleichen.

The cut bunny with the balloon and the little hamster are from the Birthday Wishing stamp set. I colored both images with Copics, cut them out and then attached them to the background. I used thick foam tape behind the balloon and thin foam tape behind the critters' feet to level out the different of height of the sky and the grass, that I used foam tape behind already.

Für den Text habe ich das Wort Congrats mit einer Stanze von MFT zweimal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, die Teile aufeinander geklebt und dann alles so auf das Gras geklebt, dass es so aussieht, als ständen die Tiere auf dem Wort. Ich hatte überlegt, die obere die Lage des Wortes in einer anderen Farbe zu stanzen, aber schwarz hat mir einfach am besten gefallen. Alles andere hätte zu sehr von den Motiven abgelenkt.

Auch den kleineren Text darunter aus dem Bitty Birthday Wishes Stempelset von MFT habe ich daher - mit weißem Embossingpulver - auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und wiederum mit dünnem 3D Tape auf das Gras geklebt.

For the text I die cut the words congrats twice form black cardstock, using a die by MFT. Then I stacked the words and attached them to the grass, making it look like the two critters are standing on top of it. I had thought about cutting the word from a different color of cardstock but liked black the best - all the other colors took the attention away from the images.

That's also why I decided to heat emboss the smaller text onto black cardstock, too. It's from the Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set by MFT and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I used the thinner foam tape again to adhere it to the grass.

Auf der Karte ist bereits jede Menge los. Deswegen habe ich auf weitere Deko verzichtet und nur noch alles schwarz gemattet und dann auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

There's already a lot going on on this card. So I decided against any additional embellishments and just added a black mag before attaching everything to a white note card.

Heute zeige ich Euch eine Karte, auf der ich die Little Line Agenda von MamaElephant eingeweiht habe. Die standen schon länger auf meiner Wunschliste, aber wegen nur einem Stempelset lohnt sich eine Bestellung nicht. Deswegen habe ich abgewartet und das Set zusammen mit anderen Stempeln jetzt erst bestellt.

Today I am sharing a card on which I used the Little Line Agenda stamp set by MamaElephant. I had this set for a little while on my wish list, but I rarely place an order because of just one stamp set. So I waited and ordered it with other sets I wanted just now.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich den Quilted Backdrop von LawnFawn aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke an den Rändern etwas abgedunkelt. Das Muster erinnert mit ein wenig an Küchenkacheln und somit passte er perfekt zum Motiv. Dann habe ich alles blau-türkis - in echt sind die Farben viel türkiser als auf den Bildern - hinterlegt.

For the background I die cut the Quilted Backdrop by LawnFawn from white cardstock and shaded the edges a bit with Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke. The pattern reminds me of kitchen tiles and so it goes perfectly with the image. Then I placed some blue-turquoise - in real life the colors are way more turquoise than on the pictures - cardstock behind it.

Das süße Motiv mit den Katzen in den Tassen ist nur eines von vier verschiedenen - verschiedene Tiere, die aus verschiedenen Behältnissen herausschauen. Ich habe es mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten. 

Mit dem Regal aus dem Laboratory Stanzenset von Sizzix habe ich siebenmal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Bei einem der Stanzeteile habe ich dann den unteren Teil dunkelgrau und schwarz, bei einem das Regalbrett braun coloriert. Dann habe ich bei drei der Regale den unteren Teil weggeschnitten und alle Teile aufeinander geklebt. So ist die Halterung etwas vom Brett zurückversetzt. 

Das Regal habe ich auf den Kartenhintergrund geklebt und dann die Tassen mit den Katzen mit dünnem 3D Tape daraufgestellt.

Als Deko habe ich noch drei rote Herzen um die Katzen herum verteilt.

The cute image with the cats in the cups is just one of four different ones in the set - different animals in pots or boxes and of course cups. I colored them with Copics and fuzzy cut them out.

Using the shelf die from the Laboratory die set by Sizzix I cut seven shelfs from white cardstock. I colored the bottom of one of them in dark greys and just the top of another one in browns. Then I cut off the bottom part of three of them and stacked all the pieces. This way, the bottom part is a bit behind the board.

I attached the shelf to the background and thenused thin foam tape to put the cups with the cats on top of the shelf.

As decoration I added three red hearts around the images.

Unter dem Regal habe ich ein Hello aufgeklebt. Ich habe dafür eine Stanze von MFT verwendet, das passte von der Größe her perfekt zwischen die beiden Aufhängungen des Regals. 

Die Buchstaben habe ich einmal aus schwarzem und viermal aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt, wieder aufeinander gesetzt und dabei die schwarze Lage ein wenig nach unten links versetzt.

Das What's Up? darunter ist aus einem Stempelset von SU. Ich fand, das passt ganz gut, wo doch die Katzen da oben auf dem Regalbrett sitzen.... Der Text ist weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und wieder mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

Under the shelf I attached a die cut hello. I used a die by MFT here - it was the perfect size to fit between the holders of the shelf. 

I die cut the letters once from black and four times from red cardstock, stacked them and moved the black layer a bit to the bottom left.

The What's Up is from a stamp set by SU. I thought, it was perfect since those cats are up there on the shelf... I white heat embossed the text onto black cardstock and used thin foam tape again to adhere the text strip to the card.

Hier sieht man die verschiedenen Lagen auf der Karte ganz gut.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles nur noch auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Here you see the different layers on this card quite good.

To finish the card I only attached everything to a white note card.

Die Karte, die ich Euch heute zeigen möchte, ist eher einfach gehalten. Das lag hauptsächlich daran, dass ich das Motiv nicht ausschneiden wollte und so direkt auf die Kartenfront gestempelt habe. Da auch das Motiv relativ groß war, war nicht viel Platz für Dekoration - und ich wollte dem Motiv nicht die Show stehlen.

The card, that I'm sharing with you today, is kept kind of simple. That's mainly because I didn't want to cut the image out and so stamped it directly onto the card front. And since it's also quite large, there wasn't much room for embellishments - and of course I wanted it to be the star of the show.

 

Da ich das Motiv mit meinen ZIG-Markern coloriert habe, habe ich die Kartenfront aus Watercolor Cardstock geschnitten.

 

Since I colred the image with my ZIG markers I cut the card front from watercolor cardstock.

 

 Der süße Hamster im Kleefeld, der sich so freut, ein vierblättriges Kleeblatt zwischen all den "normalen" Kleeblättern gefunden zu haben, ist aus dem Four Leaf Clover Stempelset von ColoradoCraft. Wie schon erwähnt, habe ich ihn mit ZIG Markern coloriert. Auch den Himmel hinter dem Motiv habe ich mit den Markern und einem Pinsel gemacht. Anschließend habe ich nur den Hamster abgedeckt und feine Spritzer weißer Acrylfarbe aufgetragen.

Einige der Kleeblätter habe ich ein weiteres Mal abgestempelt, coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Die  habe ich dann mit 3D Tape an ihren Platz geklebt und so für etwas Tiefe auf der Karte gesorgt. Die Idee stammt übrigens nicht von mir, das habe ich auf einer der Beispielkarten des Designteams von ColoradoCraft gesehen.

Mit goldenem Embossingpulver, das etwas transparent ist, so dass das Wort durch das Blau dahinter etwas fleckig aussieht, habe ich dann noch ein kleines Viel aus dem Glücksset von Stampcorner neben den Kopf des Hamsters aufembosst. 

The cut hamster in the field of clovers, who is so excited to have found a four leaf clover between all those "regular" ones, is from the Four Leaf Clover stamp set by ColoradoCraft. As mentioned above did I color him with my ZIG markers. Also the sky behind the image I created with those. Then I covered just the hamster with masking tape and flicked some fine drops of white acrylic paint over the image.

Some of the clovers I stamped and colored a second time and cut those out. Then I attached them to the whole image using foam tape, creating some depth on the card with those. And by the way, I didn't come up with this idea myself. I saw it on one of the samples from the ColoradoCraft DT.

Using some gold, lightly transparent embossing powder I stamped the word "lots of" next to the hamsters head. Since the powder melts semi-transparent you can see the blue background through it a bit, what makes this word look a bit speckled.

 

Die schmalen, hohen Buchstaben von Scrapbook.com fand ich super passend für diese Karte. Sie sind auffallend genug, gleichzeitig aber dünn genug um nicht zu sehr ins Auge zu fallen. 

Ich habe die Buchstaben für das Wort Glück einmal aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock und einmal aus matt-goldenem  Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt und dabei jeweils den grünen und goldenen Buchstaben direkt aneinander unten auf die Karte geklebt. Die Punkte auf dem U habe ich dann mit einem goldenen Gelstift hinzugefügt. 

Und als Deko durften noch fünf matt-goldene Pailetten neben die Buchstaben hüpfen.

Those thin and tall letters by Scrapbook.com are perfect for this card. They are tall enough to not be overseen, but at the same time thin enough to not be the main focus on the card.

I die cut the letters for the word "luck" once from dark green cardstock and once from matte gold metallic cardstock, then attached them to the bottom of the card, putting each green and gold letter right against each other. To add the dots to the U I used a gold gel pen.

To decorate the cards I added five matte gold sequins to the left and right of the die cut letters.

Hier kann man die erhöht aufgeklebten Kleeblätter besser sehen - es sind auch die einzigen, auf die ich mit einem weißen Gelstift einige Details aufgemalt habe.

Zum Schluss habe ich den Cardstock schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. Und ich hoffe, ich schaffe es noch, die Wellung, die beim Colorieren des Hintergrunds entanden ist, auszubügeln.

Here you can see the raised clovers better - they are also the only ones that I added some details with a white gel pen to.

To finish the card I matted the cardstock black and attached it to a white note card. And I hope I will be able to flatten the cardstock, that curled a bit when I watercolored the background.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 13. Mai 2023

Heute zeigen wir euch beim Stempeleinmaleins diese Karte, die wirklich einfach zu machen ist. Aber die Front lässt sich aufstellen, und so bekommt die Karte eine tolle Tiefenwirkung.

Today we are sharing this card with you over at Stempeleinmaleins. It's really easy to make but you can pop up the front and the cards gets a wonderful depth.

So sieht die Karte geschlossen aus. An sich schon schön, und man erhält bereits einen kleinen Blick auf die Szene im Inneren. Hier muss man übrigens nicht unbedingt eine Szene einbauen, ein toller Hintergrund, z. B. gewischt oder auch aus Designpapier, sieht ebenso toll aus. Aber bei mir hat sich diese Szene irgendwie verselbständigt und so wurde sie viel aufwändiger, als ich geplant hatte.

This is the closed card. It looks great like this already, and you already get a look at part of the scene on the inside. By the way, you don't have to up a scene on the inside. A beautiful background like some inked cardstock or some pretty patterned paper looks as great. But here the inside somehow turned out way more detailed than I had planned.

Auf der Innenseite der Karte befindet sich ein kleines Cardstockstück - in meinem Fall mit Text - unter das man den schmalen Cardstockstreifen am rechten Rand der Kartenfront schieben kann. Dadurch stellt sich der Rest der Front auf und es entsteht diese 3D Wirkung.

Alle Motive auf meiner Karte sind wieder aus dem März-Release von ColoradoCraft. Hier auf der Front ist der Hamster aus dem Veggie Stack Set, der Vogel ist aus dem selben Set. Den Boden habe ich mit Distress Oxide Vintage Photo gewischt und einige Erdkrümel mit Copics aufgetupft. Die Ränder rund um den kreisförmigen Ausschnitt sind mit Mowed Lawn und Mermaid Lagoon gewischt, damit sie zum Hintergrund im Inneren der Karte passen.

On the inside of the card there's a little piece of cardstock - in this case I stamped the text onto it - under which the small strip on the right side of the card front can be tucked under. This way the rest of the card front gets popped up and you get this beautiful 3D look.

All images on this card are again from the march release by ColoradoCraft. Here on the front I used the hamster from the Veggie Stack set, the bird is from the same set. I inked the ground with Vintage Photo and added a few dots with Copics. The edges of the circle cut out I lightly inked with Mowed Lawn and Mermaid Lagoon, to make them match the background on the inside.

Und das ist die Szene, die sich zeigt, wenn man die Karte komplett öffnet. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich wieder Mermaid Lagoon und Mowed Lawn verwendet, den erdigen Boden habe ich diesmal mit Copics gemacht. Der Zaun ist der mit der Picket Fence Border von LawnFawn gemacht und leicht mit Copics schattiert.

Die Motive hier sind ein wilder Mix aus den Sets Veg Out, Garden Therapy und Summer Garden, alle sind mit Copics coloriert.

Der Text ist aus dem Set Garden Therapy und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Den tollen schnörkeligen Rahmen, der eigentlich um den Text herum verläuft, habe ich weggeschnitten. Einfach, weil er zu breit für die Karte war.

And this is the scene that you see when you open up the card.

For the background I again used Mermaid Lagoon and Mowed Lawn, the soily ground I created with my Copics. The fence is made with the Picket Fence Border by LawnFawn and lightly shaded with my Copics.

The images here are a wild mix from the stamp sets Veg Out, Garden Therapy and Summer Garden, all are colored with Copics.

The text is from the set Garden Therapy and white heat embossed onto black cardstock. I had to cut off the beautiful flourish frame, that gets stamped around the text, just because it was too large for the card.

Karte zur goldenen Hochzeit

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute zeige ich Euch eine Karte zur goldenen Hochzeit. Ich wollte etwas besonderes machen, war aber ein wenig unter Zeitdruck. Nach etwas Überlegen habe ich mich dazu entschlossen, eine Trifold Card zu machen. Die ist an sich schon besonders und auch nicht so aufwändig dekoriert, sieht sie toll aus.

Today I am sharing a card for a golden wedding with you. I wanted to make something special but was a bit short on time. After some thinking I decided to make a Trifold Card. It's special on its own and looks great, even if the decorations are a bit simpler.

 

Ich habe die Karte selbst aus weißem Cardstock geschnitten und dann die schmalere linke Vorderseite sowie die komplette Vorderseite, von der man jetzt nur einen Teil sieht, mit weißem Cardstock beklebt, den ich zuvor mit dem Blütenregen-Embossingfolder von SU geprägt und anschließend ein wenig mit goldener Metallic Watercolor bespritzt. 

 

I cut the card itself from white cardstock and then put a piece of white cardstock onto the small strip on the left and the front, that's not visible fully when the card is closed. That white cardstock I first dry embossed with the SU Blütenregen embossing folder and then flicked some gold metallic watercolor on top.

 

 Etwa mittig auf der Kartenvorderseite habe ich dann Stück Cardstock geklebt, auf das ich zuerst das Wort Goldenen mit hellgoldenem Embossingpulver aufembosst habe. Den Rest des Textes habe ich mit brauner Tinte abgestempelt. Dann habe ich die herabhängenden Herzen mit der Hängende Herzen Stanze von CreativeDepot unter den Text gestanzt und alles mit goldenem Spiegelcardstock hinterlegt. Dabei habe ich hinter eines der Herzen ein kleines Stück rosafarbenen Cardstock geklebt und mit einem farblich passenden Fineliner einen Rahmen per Hand aufgemalt. Außerdem habe ich  noch ein paar weiße Perlen sowie eine goldene Schleife an einem der Herzen angebracht.

 

I attached a piece of white cardstock to the center of the card front, that I first heat embossed the Goldenen text with some gold embossing folder. Then I stamped the rest of the text with brown ink and die cut those hearts with stitched strings using the Hängende Herzen die by CreativeDepot under the text. I matted the white cardstock with gold mirror cardstock and put a small piece of pink cardstock behind one of the hearst. Then I used a matching fineliner to draw a frame around the cardstock. I also added a few white pearls and a gold bow to one of the hearts. 

 

 Zuerst öffnet man nur den schmalen Streifen links auf der Karte und erhält so einen Blick auf die komplett geprägte zweite Kartenfront. 

Ich habe sowohl hinter dem Rechteck auf der Vorderseite als auch auf der entsprechenden Stelle auf der rechten Kartenfront jeweils ein weiteres Cardstockstück in gleicher Größe aufgeklebt, so dass die erst bei geöffneter Karte sichtbar sind. Außerdem habe ich hier jeweils einen Magneten mit eingebaut, der die Karte geschlossen hält. 

First you open up just the small strip on the left of the card and that way get sight onto the completly dry embossed second card front. 

Behind the rectangle that I glued to the front and also onto the same spot on the right card front I adhered another rectangle of the same size so those are only visible when the card is opened. I also included two magnets here, that hold the card closed.

Auf dem linken Rechteck habe ich mit brauner Tinte und dem Mini Well Connected Alphabet Stempelset von MFT die Namen des "Brautpaares" aufgestempelt und dazwischen ein großes, aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock gestanztes Und-Zeichen, gemacht mit der Ampersand-Stanze von CreativeDepot, aufgeklebt. 

Als Deko habe ich einige pinkfarbene Blüten mit weißen Perlen als Blütenmitten aufgeklebt, wieder einen pinkfarbenen Rahmen aufgemalt und alles mit goldenem Spiegelcardstock hinterlegt.

Onto the left rectangle I stamped the names of the "bridal couple" using brown ink and the Mini Well Connected Alphabet by MFT and put a large ampersand, made from gold mirror cardstock with a die by CreativeDepot, between the names. 

To decorate this rectnalge I used a few pink flowers with white pearls as the center, drew a pink frame again and matted the cardstock with gold mirror cardstock.

Auf dem rechten Rechteck habe ich eine mit dem Impact Numbers Stanzenset von MFT aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock gestanzte 50 aufgeklebt. Darunter habe ich das Wort Ehejahre gold aufembosst und wiederum darunter mit brauner Tinte Herzlichen Glückwunsch aufgestempelt.

Auch hier kamen wieder einige pinkfarbene Blumen, der pinke Rahmen und die goldene Mattung zum Einsatz.

Onto the right rectangle I attached a 50, die cut from gold mirror cardstock using the Impact Numbers die set by MFT. Under that I gold heat embossed the word "years of being married" and under that I stamped "heartfelt congrats" with brown ink.

Again I added some pink flowers, a pink frame and a gold mat.

Und so sieht die komplett geöffnete Karte aus. 

Den mittleren Bereich mit Platz für einen persönlichen Text habe ich zuerst mit pinkfarbenem Cardstock beklebt, auf den ich dann ein weiteres, wiederum kleineres Rechteck aus weißem Cardstock geklebt habe. Hier habe ich den Rahmen mit einem goldenen Gelstift aufgemalt. 

Und weil es irgendwie komisch aussah, dass die ganz rechte Seite leer war - vor allem, weil ja auch jetzt das Rechteck links zu sehen ist - habe ich ich entschieden, auch hier ein dekoriertes Rechteck aufzukleben.

And this is the completly opened card.

Onto the area in the middle, that provides room for a personal message, I first glued a rectangle cut from pink cardstock, then glued another and again smaller piece of white cardstock on top. This time I used a gold gel pen for the frame.

And since it looked kind of strange that the right side was empty - especially since the rectangle on the left is visible also when the card is opened - I decided to add another decorated rectangle to this side.

Hier habe ich einen Text von SU mit brauner Tinte auf den weißen Cardstock gestempelt und anschließend zwei der Worte gold darüber embosst. 

Und um einen roten Faden durch die komplette Karte zu ziehen, habe ich auch dieses Cardstockstück mit pinkfarbenen Blüten, einem pinkfarbenem Rahmen sowie einer goldenen Mattung dekoriert. 

Here I stamped a wedding text by SU - we wish you a day filled with love and wonderful memories - with brown ink onto the white cardstock and then gold heat embossed over the words love and memories. 

To keep a uniform look on all pages of the card I decorated the cardstock with pink flowers, a pink frame and a gold mat again.
