Ich verspreche es hiermit - das ist die letzte herbstliche Karte für dieses Jahr, die ich auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige. Ab nächster Woche wird es dann auch bei mir endlich weihnachtlich. Und das kann ich mit Sicherheit sagen, weil die Motive für die nächste Karte schon gestempelt sind. Heute aber gibt es von mir nochmal Herbst. Schuld ist die Karte von letzter Woche. Während ich die Stempel dafür zusammengesucht habe, fiel mir noch das ein oder andere Set in die Hand und die Idee für diese Karte war in meinem Kopf. Und sie würde sogar ebenfalls in die Golden Oldies Serie passen, denn auch hier kamen ältere Stempel zum Einsatz.

Here and today I promise - this is the last fall-ish card for this year, that I'm sharing at the Stamping-Fairies Blog. From next week on I will finally share something christmassy. And I can say this for sure since the images for this next card are already stamped. But today it's an autumn themed card again. I have to blame my card from last week. While taking out the stamps for this last card I came across a few other sets and had the idea for this card in mind. And it even would fit my Golden Oldies series, because also on this one I used a few older sets.
Bei dieser Karte poppt die obere Lage beim Herausziehen aus dem Kuvert nach oben, wodurch ein toller 3D Effekt entsteht und die Szene eine wunderschöne Tiefe bekommt. Die Idee bzw. die Technik dahinter stammt mal wieder von Jennifer McGuire. Und ich fand es toll, endlich mal nicht alles mit 3D Tape aufkleben zu müssen. Das habe ich nur für die hintere Lage gemacht, da das Vellum, das ich eingebaut habe, die hinterste Lage sonst absolut unkenntlich gemacht hätte.
Ich habe hier drei Lagen weißen Cardstocks verwendet und in die oberste und mittlere Lage jeweils ein Quadrat gestanzt, das mittlere ein wenig kleiner als das obere. Auf der hintersten Lage habe ich den Bereich, in dem sich das Fenster befindet, mit Distress Oxide Speckled Egg und Weathered Wood gewischt. Die selben Farben habe ich auch rund um die Ausschnitte in den anderen beiden Lagen aufgewischt.
Auf die oberste Lage Cardstock habe ich dann eine Stencil mit Strickmuster gelegt und ganz leicht mit Distress Oxide Pumice Stone gewischt. Ich bin mir sicher, dass der Stencil auch von MFT ist, allerdings scheint es den nicht mehr zu geben, ich konnte nichtmal den genauen Namen herausfinden.
This card fold flat, and when you pull it out the envelope the top layer pops up, what creates a great 3D effect and the scene gets a wonderful depth. The idea/technique for this type of card is once again by Jennifer McGuire. And I totally loved not to have to put several layers of foam tape onto a card. I only used that for the back layer since the vellum I included made the back layer so blurry that it was impossible to see the tree there.
I used three layers of white cardstock here and die cut a square from the top and middle layer, the one in the middle slightly smaller than the one in the top layer. On the back layer I inked up the area of the window with Distress Oxide Speckled Egg and Weathered Wood. I also added some of these colors around the cut outs in the other layers.
Onto the top cardstock I placed a stencil with a knit pattern and slightly put some Distress Oxide Pumice Stone onto the card through the stencil. I'm absolutely sure that this stencil is by MFT as well, but it seems like it's discontinued and I wasn't even able to find out its exact name.
Auf die hinterste Lage habe ich einen der Birch Trees, gestanzt aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock, mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.
Hinter das Fenster im mittleren Cardstockstück habe ich Vellum geklebt, dann habe ich diese Lage mit dickerem 3D Tape auf die unterste Lage Cardstock geklebt. Durch das Vellum sieht es so aus, als würde der Baum dahinter im Nebel verschwinden.
Auf die zweite Lage habe ich dann zwei weitere Birch Trees, diesmal gestanzt aus hellgrauem Cardstock, geklebt, ebenfalls mit dünnem 3D Tape. Alle Bäume habe ich zuvor mit Copics ein wenig schattiert.
Auf das Vellum habe ich dann 3 Herbstblätter aus dem Stempelset Let's Curl Up geklebt.
An die untere Kante des obersten Fensters habe ich eine kleine Szene mit Baumstamm und Biber gesetzt. Ja, auch die sind alle mit 3D Tape aufeinander- und aufgeklebt. Der Baumstamm und die Pilze sind aus dem Set Happy Hedgehogs, der süße Biber samt Mütze aus dem Set Sweater Weather in the Woods. Ich liebe dieses Set immer noch sehr, deshalb konnte ich es auch nicht einfach wieder zurückpacken als ich es in den Händen hielt. Zumindest nicht, ohne es für eine Karte zu verwenden. Die Blätter unter dem Baumstamm sind aus dem Set Piles of Fun, die Zweige hinter dem Baumstamm aus den Sets Let's Curl Up und Happy Hedgehogs. Alle Motive sind mit Copics coloriert.
Den Text aus dem Stempelset Sweater Weather on Safari habe ich mit brauner Tinte direkt auf die oberste Lage Cardstock geklebt. Dann habe ich alles braun gemattet, auch wenn man das auf den Fotos durch die Höhe der Karte nicht so toll sieht, und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
Onto the back layer I glued down one of the Birch Trees, die cut from dark grey cardstock, using thin foam tape to glue it down.
Behind the window cut from the middle layer I put some vellum, then glued down this layer onto the back one with some thicker foam tape. Through the vellum it looks like the tree behind it is covered by a thin layer of fog.
Onto the middle layer I glued down two more birch trees, this time die cut from light grey cardstock. Before I shadded all trees with my Copics.
Onto the vellum I added three falling leaves from the stamp set Let's Curl Up.
To the bottom edge of the window cut into the top layer I added this little scene with a tree log and the beaver. Yes, also these are glued together and onto the card with foam tape. The tree log and the mushrooms are from the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set, the cute beaver from the Sweater Weather in the Woods set. I still love this set so much - that's also why I couldn't just put it back once I had it in my hands. At least not without making a card with it.
The leaves under the log are from the Piles of Fun stamp set, the branches behind the log are from the Let's Curl Up and the Happy Hedgehogs stamp sets. All images are colored with Copics.
The text from the Sweater Weather on Safari stamp set is stamped directly with brown ink onto the top layer. Then I matted the whole scene with brown cardstock, what is hard to see on the pictures due to the height of the card, and glued it down onto a white note card.
Und auf diesem Bild kann man noch prima erkennen, wie viel höher die oberste Lage im Vergleich zur mittleren liegt. Trotzdem kann die Karte komplett flach zusammengelegt werden. Ich habe die Kartenidee an sich ein wenig abgeändert - bei Jennifer popt der komplette Kartenaufleger auf. Aber die Technik ist die selbe. And on this picture you can see how much distance there is between the top and middle layer. And still the card folds down completly flat. I changed the card idea a bit - on Jennifer's card the whole card topper pop up. But the technique is the same. You find her video as Pop-Up Frame Shadow Box Cards on YouTube.
