Ich durfte - schon wieder - eine Explosionbox zu einem 50. Geburtstag machen. Für einen Mann, Geschenk ist ein neues Fahrrad. Okay, wie setzt man das jetzt um?

I had to make an explosion box for a 50th birthday - again. For a man, he wished for a new bike. Okay, what am I going to do?
Die Außenseite der Box habe ich erstmal ganz dem Thema Geburtstag gewidmet. Die Box selbst ist aus eher ockerfarben-gelbem Cardstock. Ich habe die Seitenteile der Box erst mit weißem Cardstock beklebt, darüber kam eine Lage dunkel-türkisfarbener Cardstock. Den habe ich mit einer Hotfoil Plate von Spellbinders mit glitzer-goldfarbenen Konfetti foliert.
I created the outside of the box with a birthday theme. The box itself is made from a ochre colored cardstock. I glued white carstock onto all four side pieces and then some dark turquoise cardstock on top of that. Before I had foiled some confetti onto it, using a glittery golden foil and a hot foil plate by Spellbinders.
Auch der Deckel der Box ist aus gelbem Cardstock und weiß und türkis gemattet, diesmal ohne goldene Folierung.
Als Deko habe ich hier etwa drei Viertel eines gezackten Kreises hochkant auf die Box geklebt. Damit er stabil steht, habe ich zwei dieser Kreise verwendet und zwischen die beiden 4 kleinere Kreise aus weißem Cardstock geklebt. Auf dem gezackten Kreis habe ich zudem mit einer Strahlen-Stencil und Distress Oxide Broken China ein Strahlenmuster aufgewischt. Dann habe ich die Sterne sowie die Zahl 50 aufgeklebt. Jedes der Elemente ist mehrfach gestanzt - die Sterne vier Mal aus weißem Cardstock und einmal aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock - und übereinander geklebt.
Vor dem gezackten Kreis habe ich ein Banner mit einem auf-folierten Happy Birthday aufgeklebt. Dabei habe ich das Banner etwas gebogen, so dass es in der Mitte hochsteht. Hinter und unter das Banner habe ich dann einige Luftschlangen aufgeklebt, für die ich einfach dünne Streifen des gelben Cardstocks aufgerollt habe. Rund um das Banner und die Luftschlangen habe ich dann einige gelbe Glitzersteine verteilt.
Und weil der hintere Teil des Deckels absolut leer war, habe ich dort noch einige der geschredderten Papier-Streifen in kraft aufgeklebt und dabei einige der Streifen über den gezackten Kreis hinausschauen lassen.
Also the lid of this box is made from yellow cardstock and matted white and turquoise, this time without any foiling added.
To decorate the lid I glued about three quarters of a zig zag edged circle standing up on the box. To keep it stable I've cut two of those circles and put four smaller circles cut from white cardstock inbetween the two zig zag ones. Onto those I had stenciled some rays with Distress Oxide Broken China. Then I glued the stars and the number onto the circle. Both of these elements are again cut several times - the stars four times from white and once from golden mirror cardstock - and stacked on top of each other.
To the bottom of the standing circle I added a banner with a happy birthday text foiled onto it. I bended the banner to make it stand up in the middle. Behind and under the banner I added some strips of paper, cut from the same yellow cardstock and then curled to make them look like streamers. Around the banner and streamers I added a few yellow rhinestones.
And since the back area of the lid was completly empty, I glued a few of these shredded craft paper strips behind the circle, making sure a few of them show up behind the circle.
Und so sieht die geöffnete Box aus - man kann schon erkennen, das Thema Fahrrad habe ich untergebracht....
And this is the opened box. You can already tell - I managed to include a bicycle theme...
Auf einer der seitlichen Klappen habe ich einen Geburtstagsgruß aufgestempelt - relativ undekoriert, damit es nicht zu schnörkelig wird. Die Texte hier sind von Stampcorner (lasst die Korken..) sowie SU.
On one of the side flaps I added a birthday greeting. It means "pop the corks - you're never too old to party".
Auf der anderen Klappe ist noch ein kleiner Geburtstagsgruß und viel Platz für die Schenker zum Unterschreiben. Die Stempel hier sind ebenfalls von Stampcorner.
On the other flap I added a small birthday greeting and left lots of room for everyone to write their name.
Und so habe ich das Thema Fahrrad verarbeitet.
Ich habe eine Hauswand quer in die Box eingezogen. Dafür habe ich weißen Cardstock verwendet und mit einer Mauer-Stencil sowie Distress Oxide Pumice Stone die Mauersteine aufgewischt.
Die Haustür mit Fenster ist mit einer Stanze von Magnolia gemacht, für das kleinere Fenster links habe ich einfach einen Teil des Fensters neben der Tür erneut ausgestanzt.. Das Vordach und die Topfpflanze sind aus einem Stanzenset von MFT und mit Copics coloriert.
Quer über die Hausmauer habe ich eine Partygirlande von JM-Creation gespannt.
Und neben der Tür steht das nagelneue Fahrrad. Es ist aus dem Bicycle Built for You Stempelset von LawnFawn. Damit es schön neu glänzt, habe ich es mit Glossy Accents überzogen.
And this is how I included the bike theme.
I put up a wall all across the inside of the box. I used some white cardstock for it and added the brick pattern with a stencil and Distress Oxide Pumice Stone.
The entry with the window is made with a die by Magnolia - for the window on the left side I simply cut a part of the entry again. The roof over the entry and the plant are made with dies by MFT, I colored the die cut pieces with Copics.
Across the house I've hung up a party banner.
And next to the door there's the brand new bike. It's from the Bicycle Built for You stamp set by LawnFawn. To make it look all shiny and new I covered it with Glossy Accents.
Die Hauswand hab ich oben so verlängert, dass der leere Teil der Box davon überdeckt wird. In dieses "Dach" habe ich einen Slider eingebaut.
Zieht man am Tab oben, erscheint ein Cardstock-Panel, auf dem das Geschenk erklärt wird. Ich habe den Text ein wenig wie eine Geburtsankündigung gestaltet, nur dass es hier eben kein Junge oder Mädchen, sondern ein Fahrrad ist. Das Wort Fahrrad habe ich aus einzelnen, aus türkisfarbenem Cardstock gestanzten Buchstaben zusammengesetzt, dahinter befindet sich goldener Holographie-Ccardstock. Den Rest des Textes habe ich mit gelber Tinte gestempelt.
I added a top to the wall to cover the empty part of the box. Into this "roof" I included a slider.
When you pull the tab a piece of cardstock appears. Onto this I've put a "congrats - it's a bicycle" text, making it a bit like one of those birth announcements. I used individual die cut letters for the word bike and stamped the rest of the text with yellow ink. Behind the die cut letters I put some golden holographic cardstock.
