Kartenbasteln ist mein Hobby, und so kommt es doch recht häufig vor, dass ich Karten bastle, einfach weil ich gerade die Idee dazu habe oder weil ich Lust darauf habe. Viele davon stapeln sich dann einfach in meinem Zimmer. Teilweise, weil sie so für kaum eine Gelegenheit nutzbar sind. Ich bin sicher, da bin ich nicht die einzige. Aber ich versuche, vermehrt Karten zu machen, die man auch brauchen kann - Geburtstagskarten zum Beispiel. Das bedeutet jetzt nicht unbedingt, dass ich die dann auch benutze, aber der Wille ist da. Und so zeige ich Euch heute eine Geburtstagskarte mit Pusteblumen.

Cardmaking is my hobby, and so it happens quite often that I make a card just because I have the idea for it or feel like making it. Many of them just pile up in my room. Some of them because they can hardly be used for the typical occasions we send cards (if at all). I am sure, I am not alone here. But I am trying to make more cards that I can actually use - like birthday card. It doesn't necessary mean that I actually will use them, but it's the thought, that counts. And so I am sharing a birthday card with some poof balls with you today.
Ich finde ja, dass florale Motive, richtig eingesetzt, durchaus auch für Männerkarten gehen. Und so ist diese Karte universell einsetzbar.
Ich habe hier eine der Stained Glass Window Stanzen von WhimsyStamps aus einem Stück schwarzen Cardstocks gestanzt.
Dann habe ich ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock durch Ink Smooshing mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina eingefärbt. Die Ränder habe ich dabei abgeklebt, so dass sie weiß geblieben sind. Diesen weißen Rand sieht man später rund um den schwarzen Cardstock.
I think, floral images, used the right way, absolutely work for men's cards as well. So this birthday card fits both men and women.
I used one of the Stained Glass Window dies by WhimsyStamps and cut it form a piece of black cardstock.
Then I did some ink smooshing on a piece of watercolor cardstock using Distress Ink Salvaged Patina. I put some tape around the edges of the cardstock to make sure they stay white. This white edge is what you see around the black cardstock later.
In die tollen Pusteblumen aus dem Big Wishes Dandelion Set von WhimsyStamps war ich sofort verliebt. Ich habe sie hier erst mit NoLine Coloring Ink von InkOn3 auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und mit Copics die Stiele, Blätter sowie die Mitten der Pustelblumen coloriert. Die "Stiele" der Samen habe ich mit einem grauen Fineliner nachgemalt. Und dann habe ich nur die Teile, die die "fluffigen" Teile der Pusteblume stempeln mit Versamark eingefärbt und mit Silver Pearl Embossingpulver embosst. Dank des Mist ja kein Problem, genau die selbe Stelle wieder zu treffen. Das Embossingpulver verdeckt hier dann auch die Stempeltinte, die, obwohl sie so hell ist, trotzdem ein wenig sichtbar ist.
Anschließend habe ich das Motiv ausgeschnitten.
I immediately fell in love with these poof ball images from the Big Wishes Dandelion set by WhimsyStamps. Here I first stamped them with NoLine Coloring Ink by InkOn3 onto white cardstock and colored the leaves, stems and centers of the poof balls with Copics. The "stems" of the seeds I re-drew with a grey fineliner. And then I inked only the "fluffy" image parts of the poof balls with Versamark and embossed them with some silver pearl embossing powder. Thanks to the Misti it is no problem to stamp in the exact same spot again. The embossing powder covers the stamped lines, that are still a bit visible, even with the ink being so light.
Then I cut the image out with my scissors.
Der Text ist mit Stempeln aus dem Offset Sayings Birthday von LawnFawn gemacht. Sie sind mit weißem Embossingpulver embosst - der kleiner Text auf einen schmalen Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks, den großen Text direkt auf den schwarzen Cardstock, aus dem ich das Fenster gestanzt habe. Dabei habe ich das I aus Wish maskiert und durch einen Pusteblumensamen, genauso coloriert/embosst, wie auch die großen Pusteblumen, ersetzt.
The text is made using stamps from the Offset Sayings Birthday set by LawnFawn. I white heat embossed them - the smaller text onto a thin strip of black cardstock, the large text directly onto the black cardstock that I had cut the window from. I replaced the I in the word Wish with a dandelion seed, that I colored/embossed just like I had the poof balls.
Könnt Ihr das silbrig-schimmernde Embossingpulver, das ich für die Pusteblumen verwendet habe, hier erkennen?
Ich habe den schwarzen Cardstock mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Watercolor Cardstock mit dem Ink Smooshing geklebt, dorthinein dann die Pusteblume. Die Stiel-/Blattenden habe ich hinter das Fenster geschoben, die Blumenköpfe mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Auch den schmalen Text, den ich quer über das untere Blatt geklebt habe, habe ich mit 3D Tape hinterlegt, ebenso der einzelne Samen, der als I im Wort Wish fungiert.
Zum Schluss habe ich als Deko noch einige klare Pailetten aufgeklebt.
Can you see the silver-shimmery embossing powder I used for the poof balls?
I used thin foam tape to attach the black cardstock to the watercolor cardstock I did the ink smooshing on, then put the flowers into the window. The ends of the stems/leaves I tucked behind the window, the seed heads I adhered with thick foam tape. Also the small text strip, that I glued across the bottom leaf, and the single seed that is replacing the I in the word Wish are attached with foam tape.
As a finishing touch I added a few clear sequins.
