Heute habe ich eine Blumenwiese auf einer Geburtstagskarte zu zeigen. Sommerlich-fröhlich kann für einen Geburtstag nie verkehrt sein.

Today I have a meadow of flowers on a birthday card. Summer-ish and happy colors can never hurt for a birthday.
Ich habe hier die neuen Slimline Dies von JM Creation verwendet. Die blaue Grundkarte ist mit dem Cutter geschnitten, darauf kam ein weißes gewelltes Rechteck und wiederum darauf eines, gestanzt mit einer der Stitched DinLang Stanzen. Diese obere Lage ist aus Aquarellpapier gestanzt, bestempelt und coloriert.
Here I've used some of the new Slimline dies by JM Creation. The blue card base is cut with my paper trimmer, then I've added a white scalloped rectangle and than again a square with stitched lines. That top layer is cut from watercolor paper, then stamped on it and colored.
Hier habe ich mal einen Ausschnitt der Blumenwiese. Eigentlich wollte ich unten auch noch die neue lange Grasstanze benutzen. Daran hatte ich aber beim Stempeln nicht gedacht und die Blumen zu tief angesetzt. Also kommt die wann anders zum Einsatz.
Für die Blumen habe ich den Stempel Blumenduft benutzt. Und ja, ich habe mal wieder eine Operation am offenen Herzen, äh unmontierten Stempel, vorgenommen. Der süße Schmetterling mit der gestrichelten Fluglinie hätte das zusammenstempeln der Blumen erschwert. Also habe ich den vorsichtig abgeschnitten. Sein Freund durfte bleiben. Dann habe ich die Blumen, in der Höhe versetzt, quer über das Aquarellpapier gestempelt und zum Schluss den Schmetterling mit der Fluglinie nur einmal mit abgestempelt und dabei ein Blütenblatt maskiert.
Coloriert habe ich mit ZIG Color Real Brush Aquarellmarkern. Der blaue Himmel ist nur auf dem Foto so extrem fleckig, in Wirklichkeit ist er doch etwas gleichmäßiger.
Here I've taken a close up of a part of the flowers. I had also planned to use the new long grass border die as well but forgot about it while stamping. So my flowers were too low and I will use it another time.
For the flowers I've used the Blumenduft stamp. And once again I've cut off a part of it. The butterfly with the stitched line behind it would have made stamping the flowers together a lot harder. So I've cut it off (his brother was allowed to stay on the stamp), stamped the flowers a few times next to each other and then added just one of the butterflies with the lines, masking only one flower.
Coloring was done with ZIG Color Real Brush markers. The blue sky only looks that spotty on the photo, in reality it is a lot smoother.
Natürich wollte ich auch einen Text unterbringen, der sollte aber doch ein wenig subtiler sein. Also habe ich mich gegen einen aufgeklebten Streifen mit Text entschieden und stattdessen das Alles Liebe zum aus dem Kombitexte für Textstanzen Stempelset im unteren rechten Bereich weiß aufembosst und daneben das aus weißem Cardstock gestanzte Geburtstag geklebt. So ist es zwar gut lesbar, fällt aber nicht sofort ins Auge.
Of course I also wanted to add a greeting, but wanted a more subtle look here. So I've decided against a glued on strip with a stamped saying. Instead I've white heat embossed a happy - that's just the best translation for the whole text - onto the lower right area of the card and glued a die cut birthday, cut from white cardstock, next to it. That way it is easy readable but doesn't take all the attention at a first look.
